Okay this prompt comes from Lil boberton and it goes:Can u do a fanfic about the warblers of the first age hear about what happened with wes in your other fanfic to take the blame? I think it would be cool. Thanks.

Wes followed Carmichael to the office. Carmichael opened the door, motioned for Wes to get inside and Wes smiled and stepped inside. The room was filled with light, stylish wooden furniture and draperies that Wes knew Kurt would love. They were pulled aside to let in a lot of love and Wes noticed that the old carpet was gone. Everything seemed lighter and happier in the room. Wes smiled slightly and Carmichael sat down behind his new desk.

"What did you want to talk about sir", Wes asked politely as he closed the door.

"Take a seat Wes", Carmichael said and pointed at the chair in front of his desk with a smile on his lips. Wes sat down, feeling nervous and just a tad frightened. Carmichael seemed to notice this.

"I know your story Wes", he said gently. "You don't have to worry or be afraid. I am only here to do good things. I did reestablish your student council with you as its head did I not?"

"You did sir."

"Well I do care about all of my students, especially those who has been bullied or worse." He smiled gently. "I got a call from Crawford today."

"I see sir", Wes mumbled and bit his lip.

"Whose idea was it to sing for the girls at Crawford?"

"Mine", Wes said without hesitation, getting just a bit of a déjà vu feeling and that worried him.

"Was it a success?"

"Well… 50/50 sir. The girls enjoyed the show, most of them and we had fun and got some extra rehearsal for regionals. But we maybe… should've skipped the foam cannon and such."

"Yes a bit too much wasn't it?"

"Yes sir. Now afterwards I think the whole thing could've been managed differently."

"Oh really?" Carmichael cocked his eyebrows smiling. "How would've you done it? If you had to remake it?"

"Well I'd find a different song to perform and make sure that all boys are aware of what is proper and what is not proper. Maybe even a better place to perform than that drafty old warehouse."

"I see. Well Wes it is very honorable of you to take the blame for your friends' idea."

"Pardon me sir?"

"Wes", the man stood up. "The way you told me how you'd want to remake the performance tells me you had nothing to do with this. I guess you had no idea what was going on, am I right?"

"No sir. It was all my idea. I will take whatever punishment you want me to have."

"Punishment", Carmichael asked confused. "Why on Earth would I punish you?"

"Sir?"

"It is the funniest performance I have ever heard about! I was about to suggest it being performed at the next student body meeting, well without the foam cannons and beach balls."

Wes stared at the man.

"Y… You mean it sir?" he asked.

"Yes I do", Carmichael said and smiled. "I was once a student here myself and always thought the Warblers were too stiff. But what of what I've heard today and of a certain GAP-attack I really want the student to take part of that humorous side of the Warblers. So what are you planning on doing for regionals?" Wes grinned and the two of them started to talk about the Warblers and everything else about the school that would interest Carmichael.

David drummed his fingers on the table watching the door. Wes had been gone for a long time. The others were also watching the door. After a few more minutes the handle turned and the door slowly opened. Wes entered and David's eyebrows shut up because Wes was grinning like a lunatic. Wes grinned as he walked up to the council table and they all stared at him in shock as he sat down.

"What", he asked.

"What's wrong with you", Thad asked.

"Nothing's wrong with me Thad I'm as happy as can be!"

They all stared at him again and then at Kurt, who shared Wes' room so he might know what is wrong… right?

"What are you looking at me for", Kurt asked confused. Wes just grinned and Chris looked at him worriedly. Wes only winked at him before opening up his note book and added in notes for the upcoming regionals and student body meeting.

So you see, things were finally turning out for the better. They all attended Liam's funeral and sang songs for him and they did not get past regionals but the Warblers didn't really care, after all… "evil" had been vanquished and they were all safe, their Wes was back, Klaine were finally together, the school was happy again, Watermaine and Moore were both in jail, principal Carmichael was a perfect principal and for Kurt Hummel life was great because he could return to McKinley. His new friends and boyfriend had serenaded him as he left. But as Kurt watched them go he knew he had one last thing to do. He ran up the steps and threw his arms around Wes from behind. The New Directions froze and looked confused, Blaine smiled and the other Warblers grinned. Wes turned around and hugged Kurt back.

"I'll miss sharing room with you", Kurt mumbled so only Wes heard, but aloud he said:

"Thanks for taking the blame for us Wes, even though you didn't have to."

"It's what leaders are for Kurt", Wes said and ruffled the boy's hair, without getting killed for it. "They are meant to take the blame."

Kurt smiled and kissed Wes on the cheek and Wes chuckled and did the same. The Warblers and the ND stared. Kurt then smiled.

"Wes", he said. "Could you… just once… for everyone to hear."

"What", Wes asked confused.

Kurt smirked and cleared his throat and said:
"Wesley, why couldn't you have stayed calm for once, instead of flying off the handle!" Then he sang: (Kurt, Wes, Both, All)
I hope you're happy!
I hope you're happy now
I hope you're happy how you
Hurt your cause forever
I hope you think you're clever!
Rachel cocked an eyebrow, would that Wes guy be able to pull off Elphaba? Wes only smirked and turned to Kurt singing:
I hope you're happy
I hope you're happy, too
I hope you're proud how you
Would grovel in submission
To feed your own ambition

So though I can't imagine how
I hope you're happy right now

(spoken) Wesley, listen to me. Just say you're sorry:
(sung) You can still be with the wizard
What you've worked and waited for
You can have all you ever wanted

(spoken) I know
(sung) But I don't want it -
No - I can't want it
Anymore

Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes: and leap!

It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
And you can't pull me down!

Can't I make you understand?
You're having delusions of grandeur

I'm through accepting limits
'Cuz someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost!

Wes ran down the steps and jumped onto one of the tables, Kurt following while the Warblers and the New Directions just grinned.
I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
And you can't pull me down
Wes held his hand out to Kurt.

(spoken) Kurt - come with me. Think of what we could
do: together.

(sung) Unlimited
Together we're unlimited
Together we'll be the greatest team
There's ever been
Kurtsie-
Dreams, the way we planned 'em

If we work in tandem
Kurt took Wes' hand and was pulled onto the table.
There's no fight we cannot win
Just you and I
Defying gravity
With you and I
Defying gravity

They'll never bring us down!
(spoken) Well? Are you coming?

I hope you're happy
Now that you're choosing this

(spoken) You too
(sung) I hope it brings you bliss

I really hope you get it
And you don't live to regret it
I hope you're happy in the end
I hope you're happy, my friend

As the music from the band intensified Wes ran up the stairs and at the top turned to Kurt and the ND, the Warblers were behind him and Wes sang loud and clear:

So if you care to find me
Look to the western sky!
As someone told me lately:
"Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"
And if I'm flying solo
At least I'm flying free
To those who'd ground me
Take a message back from me

Tell them how I am
Defying gravity
I'm flying high
Defying gravity
And soon I'll match them in renown
And nobody in this cause
No friends that there is or was
Is ever gonna bring me down!

I hope you're happy!

Look at him, he's wicked!
Get him!

Bring me down!

No one mourns the wicked
So we've got to bring her

Ahhh!

Down!

The crowd cheered and the Warblers left McKinley high to return back to their own school, the safe haven of Dalton Academy, recently threatened but now restored and all because one boy decided to take the blame.

The Warblers headed for the choir room as soon as they got back to Dalton. They may have been "eliminated" from the competition but that didn't mean they couldn't continue practice for other things. Coach had asked them to perform at the next football match and Wes, David and Thad were full of ideas on what to do. As they closed in on the Warbler Hall they noticed a lot of students look at them weirdly. Wes cocked an eyebrow and looked at Nick and Jeff.

"What have you done now?" he asked them.

"We haven't done anything!" they objected. Wes just chuckled and they turned to corner. Only to come to a full stop when they noticed that the door to the Warbler Hall was blocked by a bunch of students. Wes walked up to a freshman and tapped his shoulder. The boy twirled around and Wes smiled gently.

"Hey Loui", Wes said and looked at the horrified younger boy. "What's up?"

"There a scary girl in the choir room!" Loui said. "She keeps yelling at us, demanding to know where you are."

"Scary girl…" Wes trailed off and started laugh instead.

"It's not funny", Loui said. "She's freaking scary! All boys are hiding wherever they can! She'll probably come here loo-"

Wes just chuckled and pushed Loui aside gently as he started to make his way through the crowd. Loui tried to grab a hold of him. He felt horrified and made a grab for his older friend to stop him from entering the dragon's den. But Wes avoided his hands. He listened to the angry girl inside. She was shouting at someone.

"I will not leave this place until I get a chance to talk to your Warbler leader!" she shouted. "I am serious! I am not going to calm down. I am furious and I can and will not talk to someone else instead. I am not here to kill any of you. I just need to talk to him!"

"Um honey maybe you should-" a more timid voice began but he was cut off.

"No buts! I need to talk to him! Where is he?"

"Move", Wes said to the boys in front of him and they parted like the Red Sea. He calmly walked into the choir room and smiled. Justine Gidiaz stood there glaring at a bunch of students. Her long blonde hair hung down her back and she was dressed in skinny jeans, a black shirt, half-finger leather gloves and had a rivet belt around her waist. Oh so she was in more of a rocker mood today? Wes chuckled.

"Yo Justine", he yelled and she turned around. "Will you stop scaring my boys and stop acting like a Barbie doll on a warpath?"

Justine's face became red and the poor boys that had been caught by her wrath ran over and hid behind Wes. Blaine hurried forward and grabbed Wes' shoulder.

"Wes don't talk to her like that", Blaine whispered to Wes. Wes just rolled his eyes and walked into the room.

"You are behaving most unladylike", Wes said with a grin. "I am as ashamed of this entire situation as you are. Now why did you feel the need to come here and scare my poor, sweet, female-deprived Warblers and Dalton boys?"

"Hey!" some voices objected.

"Ignore them", Wes said when she looked at them. "They never handle ladies so they are totally hopeless on the angry lady situations."

"Hey!" the same boys objected.

"Shut up you know it's true", Wes said without looking away from her. "Come on Just." He held his arms open. "Happy to see me?"

Justine smiled widely and ran to him and threw his arms around him. He put his arms around her too and smiled. She hugged him close and kissed his cheek. Wes felt something then, all the stress and fear he had still been feeling but not shown started to melt away. He closed his eyes and clung to her. He tried to keep his tears and sobs back but it was hard.

"Oh baby", Justine said gently and rocked him a little. "Mark, Robert." Wait what? Wes opened his eyes when he heard the doors slam shut and get locked. Mark and Robert? Wait, did that mean Mark Connors and Robert Barton? Surely not. Suddenly he felt a hand run through his hair and he looked up and his eyes widened when he met brown eyes of one pink-haired Bastian Nolan.

"Hiya squirt", Bastian said and Wes turned around and gave him a big hug. Then he blinked in confusion.

"What… what are you doing here?" he asked and looked up at the taller guy. Bastian chuckled and caressed his cheek gently.

"Your mom called some of us and the rest followed", he said.

"The rest? What do you…" Wes looked around and his eyes went comically wide. The room was filled with people! How had he not noticed them before. Sitting on the council table was Otto Johnson, Brad Sullivan and of course…

"Jerry!" Wes exclaimed happily and hurried over to his cousin, getting embraced tightly by his arms. Brad and Otto joined in too. Jerry rocked Wes gently and Wes felt all the fear, all the worries, all the horrors and all his nerves just melt away and he broke down. Jerry tightened his grip on his little cousin. Their mothers were sisters so Jerry had always been a part of Wes' life. And since Jerry lived next door to Wes when not at Dalton Wes had also gotten to meet all of Jerry's Warbler friends and they had adopted him as their mini-Warbler. Wes' mom had called Jerry and told him what had happened. Wes and Jerry had always been close and as soon as Jerry heard what that creep of a principle had done… well let's just say he was out for blood. Luckily for Watermaine Jerry had no way of getting to him. So instead Jerry set out to be there for his little cousin, well little brother really.

"I'm so sorry Wesley", Jerry said, the only one allowed to call him that because he did it with more affection than anyone. "I should have been here to help you."

"You would've been the one in my position then", Wes whimpered. "I… I never…"

"Hey it's okay", Brad soothed gently. Brad Sullivan was Nick's cousin and after they were done here he was going to go and find the squirt and talk to him and Jeff about this all as well. No one hurt his Nicky and got away with it!

"Baby don't cry we are here for you", Otto said soothingly and nodded at Nathan Newland. Nathan ran over and pulled Wes into his arms with a loud shout of:

"My baby is so big!" Everyone looking laughed. Wes blushed.

"Nathan… can't… breathe", he groaned.

"That's overrated anyway", Nathan said happily and nuzzled his hair. "But I heard you pulled some really good pranks and got away with it? I am so proud! You take after me! Of course you do, I am the master after all."

"Hey that is so not true!" two voices said and Wes grinned and hurried over to Eric and Brett Everett.

"Twins!" he shouted happily and jumped into their arms. They hugged him close and ruffled his hair. He felt two more pair of arms around him and looked up at two guys dressed in army clothes or navy clothes. "Double twins!" John and Carl Wilkins grinned and the four older boys hugged Wes close. Wes bit his lip to keep from wincing.

"Boys you are hurting him let go", said a gentle voice and Wes' face split up in a big grin.

"Mitch!" he cheered and as soon as the two pair of twins let him go he was in the loving arms of Mitch Magnuson. Mitch hugged Wes close and kissed his cheek. Wes felt tears go down his cheeks again. Mitch had nearly died once, had tried to commit suicide. Just like Liam had, but Liam had "succeeded". Well depending on how you see it. Wes sniffled and Mitch hugged him closer.

"You are so strong Wes", he whispered for only Wes to hear. "Stronger than me. Just… just remember that if you ever want to talk with someone who has been there and kinda know what it's like… just call me okay?"

"Of course", Wes sniffled. "When… when they said Liam… all I could think of was…"

"Me?"

"Yes", Wes sniffled and clung to him. "W-when J-Jerry called a-and told me…"

"Sssh it's okay."

"No… no it isn't!" Wes objected and they all looked at him. "A boy died because I was not strong enough for both of us! I could not stop that man from hurting me and then I couldn't stop him from hurting others! It's my job! I'm Warbler chairman, prefect, head boy and… and student council president! I am supposed to protect the boys at this school but I failed! Because of me one of them died! It's all my fault because I antagonized Watermaine! I made him angry and I made him lash out! I… I tempted him and I…"

"Hold it right there" growled a dark voice and it sounded like thunder. Wes looked up with big eyes as a mountain of a man walked up to him, dressed in police uniform. Wes shrunk back a little at the angry look on the huge man's face. Mark Connors picked Wes up like a small child and sat down on the couch with Wes on his lap. Wes sniffled and looked at his hands while Mark held him close.

"Well", Mark said. "Continue little guy, what were you about to blame yourself for?"

"For… for making Watermaine do… do…"

"For him being a sick fuck that decided that raping children is an okay thing?" At Mark's words Wes twitched as if he'd been hit. "Little buddy none of this was your fault. You didn't ask for that man to r-take advantage of you and those other boys. It was all him, all his fucked-up brain. Sure you look probably made him angry because you defied him. But it was not your fault he did any of these things. He tried to blame it on you, that's what people like him do. On the way here Julian and Oliver explained it to us. Watermaine was stuck in his sick fantasies from when he was a kid and the psychopath in him looked for a substitute for the real person behind his fantasies."

"My uncle?" Wes sniffled.

"Yes", Mark said. "I don't remember all the fancy words our resident psychologists /therapists used but bottom line is: his sick as fuck brain wanted to hurt your uncle but since he couldn't he chose people to looked like him instead. He chose Wes, you did not walk up to him and tell him to take you or those other boys. This is not your fault at all. "

"Then why does it feel like it?"

"Because whenever bad things happen to us we start to look into what we did wrong and how we could have stopped it", a calm voice said and Wes noticed a pair of pale hands on his knees. He looked up at the smiling face of one Julian Rose. "You are in multiple leader positions at this school buddy and when things go bad leaders always blame themselves. You are the leader of so many things that as soon as your boys started to get hurt you started to blame yourself because as the leader you feel as if it is your job to protect the world around you. But buddy you forget something… the teachers saw but did nothing. They are just as much to blame as you."

"No you're wrong!" Wes yelled through his tears. "The teachers didn't know! They couldn't have known he would do that! As soon as they found out exactly what he did they tried to stop him! They did nothing wrong they…" he trailed off and looked at Julian who just smiled and ruffled his hair. "Man… you are good."

"Thanks", Julian said and Wes noticed someone hold out a hand to him. He saw Oliver Webber smile at him.

"Come on smurf", Oliver said and took his hand. "On your feet, this time I'll help pull you back on them."

Wes smiled and let Oliver pull him up before hugging both Oliver and Julian. They hugged him back and kissed his hair.

"It takes time", Oliver said gently. "But the wounds will heal and the scars will fade. Soon you can bear them without being bothered and soon you will be able to soar high above the rest again. I''m talking from experience here."

"You always did soar above the rest of us Oliver", a voice said and Wes face hurt from the wide smile.

"What do you expect buddy, he can use that leg of his as a propeller", a second voice said. "Ow! Austin!"

"Hughiaz!" Wes cheered and jumped into the collective embrace of Austin Diaz and Joseph Hughes. The hugging went on and on it felt like.

After hugging their resident "Brits" Wes went on to hug Howard Jameson, Collin Pratchett, Peter Pan Watson, Juan Ferrera and Alexander Dumas. Everyone ruffled his hair or patted his shoulder. They all stayed weary of his back though.

Wes was then pulled into a huge group hug from Scott Crawford, Brad Raymond, Fredric Fitzgerald and Richard Diamond. They along with Mark were the Warblers that had graduated at the same time Jerry did and they had spent many summers with Jerry and Wes. So they were all like extra big brothers to their little Wes. Wes snuggled into their embrace happily. All his older brothers and sister had come back to check up on him.

Peter Philips and Philip Peters gave him a double hug while Michael Abrams and Charles Owens gave him a hug and a noogie each. Wes just laughed.

William Holmes, Roger Smith, Matt Jonson, Reed Morgan, Malcolm Nolan and Tom Bedford all hugged him and ruffled his hair. Mitch would have a field day trying to fix that later. Eric Anderson had broken his arm recently so all he could give Wes was an one-armed hug and a slight nuzzle. Eric and Wes were almost the same height now and it bothered the older boy just a little. Wes had always been their little Wessy and now he was not so little anymore. Eric held him close. The things Wes had been forced to go through this year were horrible. There was no denying that but Eric knew that Wes would get passed it. He was too strong not to.

Isaac Newton and Robert (Rob) Barton hugged Wes and tickled his sides gently. Wes laughed happily as they did and the atmosphere in the room lightened at once. Wes snuggled into Rob's embrace. Rob had been his mentor at Dalton and had been there for him during some tough times before. Rob was one of his rocks, along with Lucas Bedford.

"Hey Shortie", Lucas said and hugged him.

"Hi Beanpole", Wes said happily and smiled.

"Things will get better shrimp."

"You promise?"

"Yes."

"What's the capital of Albania?"

"Tirana", Lucas replied and ruffled Wes' hair. Everyone else looked confused. They never did figure out what that was about.

"Hej kortis, kom hit!" a voice called and Wes laughed. Only one guy talked like that.

"Kim!" he shouted and hurried over to him. Kim hugged him close.

"Alvaro said he wanted to get here too but his got menomia", Kim said.

"Pneumonia!" a few voices called.

"Detaljer detaljer", Kim said and waved with his hand. "Your okay right?"

"You're", Wes corrected. "And I guess I will be?"

"No gues… um… no gass…. Fan också… hur fan säger man…"

"You've been in Sweden too long Kim, you make no sense."

"I do too! Just give me a moment to start-re I mean restart my brain…"

"Jetlag", Austin and Joseph said.

"Oh yes", Kim said. "Right! No guessing Wes, just trying okej?"

"Okay", Wes chuckled. Then turned to the last person in the room. Ethan Hughes smiled and opened his arms to him. Wes hurried into his embrace and Ethan rocked him. When Wes pulled back Ethan looked at him and Wes understood. He took his blazer off, then his shirt and turned his back to Ethan. Jerry and Eric also hurried over so that all three aspiring doctors could get a look at the scarring. Wes felt a bit ashamed but Justine smiled at him and held his hands. There was nothing to be ashamed of. Wes looked around and noticed how murderous all the older boys looked. He was suddenly happy Watermain and Moore were already gone or there would have been hell to pay for them. Wes pulled his shirt back on after a bit and turned to the three "doctors".

"They'll scar", Ethan said and caressed Wes' hair gently.

"I know", Wes replied. "But rather scars than… death."

Jerry pulled him into a tight hug and all the other boys and Justine joined in. How long they stood like that Wes didn't know. But when they parted he was still in Jerry's arms and he had nothing against it. Jerry was not going to let him go just yet. Wes felt safe and warm and calm right now and he had no longing of stopping.

"Oh one more thing", Justine said and crossed her arms. "What is this I hear about you going all 'Super-Goth-Punk-Emo'?"

"Uh…" Wes said and blushed. "I… well…"

"Wesley", she said sharply and he looked at Jerry.

"Don't look at me", Jerry said. "It was your idea."

"Aw helvete", Wes said and Kim smiled proudly.

"Kim!" many voices shouted at him and Wes sniggered. Things were getting back to normal, slowly but surely and as long as he had his older and younger Warblers on his side… well things would go great for him. Just wait and see.

Wow I'm on a roll! Another one done!
