Chapter 2
A petite 15 year old watched as her cousin fought against a group of ruffians. For the first time in a while there was a smile on her face. She missed her cousin, she missed him and his sisters heck even her uncle, she missed how close they were.
She watched him, he didn't even know she was there, but she watched. She laughed as the ruffians tried to beat him but she knew they would lose.
"ALL OF YOU LOOK OVER THERE!" Here cousin screamed out pointing to a light post further down the street. They all looked noticing a glass jar with flowers in it.
"Question 1!" Ichigo looked at the ruffians before pointing to a random one. "What the heck can that be?!" He asked as the stinky looking ruffian looked side to side.
"U...Umm...An offering to the kid who died here recently..." As soon as the answer left his mouth Ichigo sent a kick at him causing him to fall over from the force and pain. His groupies rushing over to see if he was ok.
Kagome held back a laugh as she watch him scare the ruffians away. She watched as he started to talk to the blood covered ghost girl before she walked off choosing to meet him at home instead of on the street.
Arriving at the clinic and home she rung the doorbell before Isshin answered it with a kick Kagome easily dodged.
"Woah~~! Uncle watch where you swing your body parts!" She yelled playfully before she was wrapped in a very tight bear hug.
"I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" He said crying everywhere.
"I missed you to," She said as a sad bittersweet smile found it's way on her face. She was promptly let go and drugged off the meet Karin and Yuzu again.
The greetings were short and tear filled but happy none the less. It wasn't long until Ichigo showed up.
Opening the door he got a small I'm home before a foot collided with his head. Kagome held herself back knowing it was just how they were.
She laughed silently to herself before Yuzu brought it to Ichigo's attention her had another one. The family was funny and she missed this, this openness. She was about to talk but Ichigo quickly left upstairs after saying forget it.
She quickly and quietly left the eating area and followed after her cousin.
"Hey Ichi-" She was cut off again by a strange girl entering the room through the wall.
Kagome knew what she was, but she had no idea why she was here. She had to proceed with caution if she didn't want to be taken away from her family.
"It is near..." The shorter female whispered before a foot collided with sending her tumbling.
"It is near my ass you retard." Ichigo screamed out as the female collided with her.
"OWWW!" She yelped hitting her head against a wall.
As if all signs went of in his head Ichigo noticed his first love, the one he still loves now.
"Kagome?" He asked not sure.
"Yeah the one and only, you kinda didn't see me since I arrived in Karakura Town. I mean I saw you taking care of those ruffians today how could you just not notice me." She said after she was up and by his side.
The short female was studying them all the while. She noticed something off with both of them. While the orange haired kid was releasing a strong reista the ravenette released pureness.
They were about to hug before Isshin broke in yelling at Ichigo for his loudness.
"Wait a sec dad! Can't you see her?" He asked pointing over his shoulder.
"What do you mean? I don't see anything," He said scratching his face.
"It's pointless," the girl whispered over his shoulder.
He turned around along with Kagome.
"It's impossible for ordinary people to see me, I am a shinigami." She said with a straight face.
It wasn't long, Ichigo kicked out his father and the shinigami and himself sat down to talk. Kagome sat on his bed, mildly listening. She was staring out the window. She could feel something sinister coming and she could hear it howl.
She only turned around when the shinigami placed a incantation on her cousin.
"That's enough, don't involve us in your shinigami politics. He's a human boy for all you care for and thus none of your concern. Do your job and go back to soul society." She ended with a sneer as she released Ichigo from his bonds.
The shinigami and Ichigo were both shocked. They didn't not expect that. Ichigo was the first to snap out of shock.
"What do you mean her job?" He asked.
"She kills the monsters that eat spirits." She answered before motioning to the spirit that was beside Ichigo.
"WHAT! HE'S STILL HERE?!" Ichigo screamed.
The shinigami decided then to pull out her blade.
"Please no don't kill me! I don't want to die!" He begged, he pleaded.
"Don't worry you're going to a better place. The Soul Society." She said and pressed the hilt to his head watching as he was engulfed in light.
Kagome couldn't help but think it would have looked better if the person getting engulfed in light didn't look so... so... what was the word-
A rawr rocked the house. Kagome's head snapped towards the sound.
It caught the shinigami's attention and Ichigo's. They soon heard a scream from downstairs before the shinigami rushed out followed by Ichigo and Kagome.
Before they reached any further past the door way Karin came crawling by.
"Ic-Ichi are you ok?" She looked up at him." Thank goodness it didn't come up here yet." She looked at Kagome.
Kagome reached out for the injured girl. "...it happened so suddenly...blood spluttered from dad's back and he fell... Yuzu and I were attacked by something huge while we were still in shock... and I thought had to... warn.. you..." was she got out before she passed out.
Kagome carried her to the bed as Ichigo rushed past her. She glared at the shinigami. "You should have done your job." She bit out before rushing after her cousin the shinigami following.
