Chapter 3. – Those Luscious Lips.

Fright and fear evident in her chocolate, brown eyes at the sudden invasion of personal space when she was spun around to face her assailant. The strength and how she was being manhandled she knew it had to be a man and not a woman. She tried to look at the man in front of her through the blinding streetlamp on the corner of the street. The trepidation of not knowing what he could possibly want from her cause bile to rise in her already slightly parched throat. His enormous hands immediately smashed her mouth and nose passage tight to prevent her from screaming for help. To her jargon the attempted scream from her throat was muted without alarming a single person. He then started squeezing her throat with his other hand to prevent anymore sounds that was being made which caused her to choke.

"So, you would spread your legs for a half breed but wouldn't do it for me? Thought you could hide from me forever, huh, wench?" A crazed voice cut through the crisp autumn air.

Kagome's eyes bulged out of her socket when she recognized the voice and the rapidly loss of oxygen. She was about to pass out and was seeing black dots in her eyesight. She pounded on his grip to let her go. He loosened his grip on her throat as he slammed her against the glass window of the restaurant and dragged her to the alley besides the building to avoid anyone's unwanted accompany.

"Mmph phmp mpphh mohoh!" Kagome screamed unintelligible words through her hand covered mouth.

"What did you say, baby?" The man asked sarcastically as he finally removed his massive hand away from her mouth.

"I said, asshole! I have no idea what you are talking about and I haven't spread my legs to anyone!" Kagome protested while gasping for air between each word.

"Do I look like an idiot? I was on my way to surprise my wife, but when I sniffed for your scent it was mixed with dirty blood of a half breed mutt! Again I ask you, are you putting it out for that piece of trash and not for your one true mate!? I told you four years ago that you are my woman and I won't let anyone take you away from me! I will kill that slob or any other male that I catch you with! I love you, Kagome, dammit!" He growled uncontrollably as he lashed out at her with rage while Kagome's fear quickly turned to anger instead.

Whenever Kagome gets really furious, she would always tend to stutter out her words and at this moment, she knows that she will start stuttering.

"Ugh! K-Koga, y-you don't l-love m-me! You n-never loved me! You just l-loved your o-obsession over me! Have you been taking your m-meds? Aren't you supposed to be in jail or something and n-not stalking me!? I want you to just leave m-" Kagome stuttered out her words from anger only to be interrupted by Koga.

"Oh you're going to test me?" he started coming at her again.

"W-Wha-w-what are you…?" She couldn't move even when he wasn't trapping her yet. The memories ran through her head again when it took her a long time to finally forget, but he is making it all come back again.

"Do I have to beat it into you again? Because you seem to have forgotten."

There comes back the memories…

"K-Ko-Koga p-please j-just leave me alone. I won't tell anybody-"

"So, you're going to call the cops, Kagome? You're going to call them again on me!? You think I am crazy, huh, bitch!? You want them to tell you that I'm crazy to make you feel better, huh!?" Koga screamed at her as Kagome cowered away from him.

His long black hair escaped from the hair tie he had on. His eyes doubled in size as he saw the woman he loved cower in fear away from him. He tried to reach out towards her as she pulled her arms into her body to make herself as small as possible.

By her rejecting his touch made him even angrier. He punched the red brick wall behind Kagome's head so hard that fragments of the brick wall fell into Kagome's hair while she placed her hands over her head to protect it from Koga's now bloody fist.

"I am crazy," he stated surprisingly calm. "I'm crazy over you, Kagome. I want to be your husband and mate. There is nothing you can do about it. You understand?" Koga said through gritted teeth standing over her knelt position on the cold concrete ground.

Kagome's fear finally started to come true while Koga started to lean on her neck. Her neck, not to suck on it or lick it, but to mark her like he tried to so many times before.

"K-Koga, p-p-please d-don't do th-this. P-Please ju-just l-lea-"

"You can't get rid of me, Kagome! Not that easily! Your mind, body and soul belongs to-"

"Not you," came another male voice who interrupted Koga's declaration and claim for Kagome. "Is there a problem here?" The voice continued to step in.

'Oh great, now what?' Kagome thought to herself as she looked towards the voice that was illuminated from the streetlamp behind the figure.

The man stepped forward and Kagome shook her head and squeezed her eyes shut.

'Can this night get any worse?' Kagome questioned from up above to herself as she felt her body being raised by strong hands as she immediately shot her eyes open.

"Get your hands away from my woman!" Koga declared only to be ignored by the man as he dusted Kagome's hair away from the crumpled bricks that fell all over her.

"Are you okay?" he asked with big concern in his golden eyes as she shook her head quickly.

"I just want to go back to my dorm room," she whispered softly while trying to hold the tears back that was forming in her eyes.

The man nodded his head in understanding as he started to escort her out of the alley way only to be interrupted by a certain wolf demon.

Koga sniffed and noticed it was the same stench he smelled mixed in with his beloved Kagome, so he ripped Kagome away from Inuyasha's grasp and brought her behind him.

"It's best you mind your business, dog trash, if you know what's good for you! You know it's against Demon code of conduct to step between an Alpha and his mate. So, back off so I won't have to rip your throat out!" he threatened against his teeth with a challenge.

"It would be my pleasure to kick your ass so I can take my wo-friend back to her dorm room," Inuyasha grinned his signature grin as he took off his jacket.

"Kiss for good luck?" Inuyasha winked at her while giving her his jacket only to get an objecting look from her while Koga removed his scarf and adjusted his body as he got ready to attack.

"I don't need you to fight-" Kagome was cut off with she saw Koga running towards Inuyasha with a furious scream.

Inuyasha quickly turned around as Koga attacked with a punch, but Inuyasha was quicker. Inuyasha blocked Koga's right fist with his right palm.

"You of all demons should know that the only way a woman can be your mate is if she willingly allows you to mate her," Inuyasha stated while still holding onto Koga's fist before he immediately punched Koga with his left fist on the nose.

Koga covered his nose and stepped back two steps with a growl.

"Stop it!" Kagome called out only to be ignored by the two same specie demons as they started using full force on each other.

Koga was enraged by Inuyasha's punch on his nose as he charged at him, grabbing and lifting him in the air. Koga charged Inuyasha until his back impacted the brick wall. The impact winded Inuyasha a little.

"Koga!"

Inuyasha clasped his hands into a big fist and slammed his closed fisted hands into Koga's spine. Inuyasha repeated the action three times until Koga released him. Inuyasha landed on his feet and kneed Koga in his nose again making more blood shot of his nostril.

"Inuyasha!"

Koga lifted his face up as he finally realized the sound of Kagome calling out to them by exposing his toned stomach to Inuyasha's advantage as he punched him with his left fist winding Koga. Koga doubled over and Inuyasha punched him again with his right hand to his left knocking Koga out.

"Stop!" someone finally broke through the tunnel vision men. A small womanly body cut between Inuyasha and now a knocked-out Koga on the concrete ground.

"What?" Inuyasha finally acknowledged her while catching his breath only to get a disappointed look from her.

"Most girls would go nuts to have two guys fighting for her," she started still with a big glare, "but I am not most girls," she finished as she turned away to finally head home to her dorm.

As Kagome started walking off, a slight grip got a hold of her forearm to turn her around to face the beautiful, silvery haired man behind her.

"W-what?" she tried to question with a cracked voice.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have accepted the challenge. I usually never back down on a fight, but I guess I went a little overboard and-"

"You sure do apologize a lot," she interrupted him.

"I am trying to make a better impression than I did last night at the club. The alcohol got the best of me that night, I'm sorry for that too."

She just giggled with his confusion. She kept giggling as he just stared at her with shock.

Did he just actually make her laugh?

Before he could say another word, she stopped giggling and a warm smile hit his way. God, what a beautiful smile she had. Her lips weren't thick, it was fairly thin but not too thin, just perfect. Those pinkish red lips just craved to be kissed as he just simply stared at those glossy lips by trying to fight the urge of accepting their offer.

"Walk with me," she just simply stated with her again warm, luscious lips that slightly parted into a thin smile.

Inuyasha just simply licked his own lips and swallowed hard as his mind punched him mentally to stop gazing at her lips while all he could do was nod to accept her actual offer.

They slowly walked in silence, but it wasn't an awkward silence. It was just… peaceful as they finally got to the closed door of her dorm room.

"Well, here we are," Inuyasha finally breaking the silence with his hands in his pockets of the jacket that he doesn't remember how he got back from Kagome.

"Here we are," Kagome repeated while gnawing on her bottom lip.

"Well I guess I'll be going now. See you around, Kagome," Inuyasha saluted and turned to leave.

"Inuyasha, wait," came Kagome's voice for Inuyasha to quickly turn around to see that beautiful angelic face again.

"Why?" she continued. "Why did you help me? Why didn't you mind your own business like the guy you portrayed yourself out to be?"

"Because that's what friends do. I may be a jackass, but I was serious. I want to be a friend to you and hopefully that showed a little bit that I did mean what I said," Inuyasha answered.

Then the silence broke in again as Inuyasha waited for Kagome to respond back. When she didn't say anything back, Inuyasha just simply took her right hand and slightly placed a kiss on the back of it while deeply looking into her beautiful, big, chocolate, brown eyes with his golden ones. This time the kiss didn't have the contact of his tongue, he learned his lesson about that last the time.

Then by that moment, Kagome started to feel her stomach tickle with a warm tickle feeling expanding in the middle of her stomach up to her chest.

As Inuyasha let go of her hand, he turned around to head to his own apartment when he heard that beautiful melodic voice again.

"Inuyasha wait," Kagome whispered again.

"Yes Kago-" Kagome interrupted him by getting on her tiptoes as Inuyasha felt soft lips on his left cheek.

Those luscious lips again, but this time actually touching his skin. If only they were touching his own lips, but he shouldn't complain. The soft, warm feeling of her luscious lips was actually enough for him to obtain control as he looked down to a now red-faced woman in front of him while she softly let out a kiss sound to his cheek before she let go of his cheek.

"Thank you," she softly whispered as her lips are still near his cheek before she finally stood up straight and cleared her throat.

"I would like to be your friend, but just give me some time. I don't trust people that easily, and it actually took Miroku about six months to earn my trust," Kagome stated with a bright red face as she just simply looked down.

'Six months…Maybe that's why Miroku said "six" months, ' Inuyasha thought to himself while he continued to look down at her gorgeous face.

'Why am I feeling guilty all of a sudden by the sudden thought of taking an advantage on this girl, no, woman?' Inuyasha thought as he suddenly felt guilty about the bet.

"Good night, Inuyasha," Kagome said which made Inuyasha lose his train of thought and gain his full attention on the beautiful figure in front of him that had her back turned as she went inside of her dorm room.

"Night Kagome," Inuyasha whispered back with a huge grin on his lips as he tried to ignore the guilt he felt.

Kagome heard him when she completely closed her door from behind her as she learned on it.

"Idiot, I still don't trust you yet, but I think I could at least give you a chance," Kagome grinned to herself while locking the door from behind her.

Without Kagome's knowledge, Inuyasha heard exactly what she said with the ability of strong hearing before he turned around to go back to his own apartment.

Kagome headed to grab her pajamas and clean undergarments. While she was about to head out the door to the public bathroom to shower, she gasped once she bumped into Sango right next to their dorm room door.

Sango had a confusing look on her face as her right index finger slightly pointed to the side. "Did I just saw Inuyasha leaving near our dorm room just now?" She questioned, still with the confused look on her face as she turned around with her index finger still slightly pointing to the side but pointing to the opposite side caused by her movement.

"H-he j-just dropped me off to my dorm th-that's all," Kagome tried not to stutter, but to fail terribly as she tried to explain herself. She would always stutter when she got nervous, frightened, and furious in anyway. She hated that fact about herself.

"Oh?" Sango started as a grin started to form on her lips.

'Oh God, here we go. Sango will not let this go anytime soon! Ugh…' Kagome thought in frustration as she rolled her eyes.

"And where did you guys go?" Sango giggled as she crossed her arms across her chest hand touching opposite elbow with a humorous grin on her face.

Kagome all of a sudden started blushing again and then sighed of frustration once again. "Ugh, Sango! I can't deal with this right now; I'm going to shower. Just let me be," she started off angry to an irritated whisper as she just walked out of their dorm and finally made her way to the girls' public bathroom to finally take her shower and then quickly head over to start up her studies once again.

Once Kagome finished her shower and went back to her dorm room, she sat on her desk to focus on her studies, but the thoughts of tonight's events kept playing in her mind. She sighed out of frustration.

'That's not the last time I'll see of Koga, I just know it,' she thought to herself furiously.

The next day passed pretty slowly as Kagome felt nauseous all throughout the day until she finally took that stupid chemistry midterm with Sango in the afternoon. But once the midterm was over, everyone, not just Sango and Kagome, sighed of relief but with Kagome smiling as she felt confident that she passed with a high score.

It was finally lunch time, so everybody went to the cafeteria, all stress-free.

"Finally!" Sango finally broke all the giggles and small talk. "That was our last midterm for the semester, so we can relax until the finals starts piling up!" She giggled some more as she hugged onto Miroku's arm, full of bliss. Then she all of a sudden gasped with excitement. "We should go to the beach!" She squealed.

"Baby, people would think that you are a nine-year-old girl, just calm down a bit," Miroku stated with chuckles along the lines as he loved seeing the love of his life so elated.

Sango just kept on going on as they finally left the cafeteria with food on their trays and went to the courtyard to eat. They sat on the pure white concrete of the big fountain that was centered in the middle of the courtyard with nice water sprinkles drizzled into the fountain.

"Kagome, you have to come with us to the beach!" Sango giggled once again as she sat in between Miroku and Kagome.

"Oh n-no, Sango, it's fine. I don't want to be a third wheel and get in the way of you two love birds," Kagome tried to decline only to get a big, stupid grin on Sango's face.

"Inuyasha will be theeere." Sango sang in a teasing mood to Kagome who quickly pinched Sango in the arm slightly so it wouldn't hurt.

"Hey!" Sango laughed out.

Miroku just sat there silently as guilt started to pile up when Inuyasha came in the conversation of their small talk.

Kagome growled at her best friend. "Anyway, why go to the beach when it is not warm enough yet? It is still only March."

"Does it feel cold to you?" Sango stated with her right palm up in the air. "It only gets cold when the sun goes down now, and soon it will be summertime!" Sango screamed in more giggles now.

"I'm still not going," Kagome stated.

Sango to clear her throat and tried to stop her small giggles escaping her lips as she started acting slightly her age. "You're coming," she stated to Kagome.

"No, I'm not."

"You're coming."

"No, I'm not."

"You're coming."

"No, I'm not!" Kagome whined out at Sango's joke while they walked to the girls' bathroom with their bathing suites tightly around their body.

"Yes, you are!" Sango giggled, still teasing her best friend. "Look at how red your cheeks are right now!" she stated, pointing at the mirror in front of them.

Kagome sighed as she just splashed water on her face by the sink.

"I just thanked him with a kiss on the cheek for saving me from Koga, Sango. That's all." Kagome was getting irritated now, but still pleased at how this very serious situation turned out with Sango teasing her about Inuyasha.

"Well, what are you going to do now that Koga is out away from the four cornered walls?" Sango asked all of a sudden very serious as she got inside of a toilet sock.

"Idon'tknow," Kagome turned the three words into one big word as she murmured from under her breath.

Sango flushed the toilet as she got out and started washing her hands. "Do you think you can get a restraining order against him?"

"I thought about it, but that still won't stop him from having an opportunity to get close to me. Like I said, if it wasn't for Inuyasha that night," Kagome swallowed hard as she forced the words to leave her mouth. "He would have marked me," she murmured once again looking at one spot absently.

"Like he tried to numerous of times before he got locked up, right?" Sango stated more than asked as she rolled her eyes at the thought.

Kagome just nodded while looking down as they finally got out of the bathroom.

"He will just keep on trying, but he can't force you to be his mate even if he forcefully marks you."

Sango had a point and Kagome will always fight back if it's the last thing she does; no one will force her to be with him if she doesn't want to be. Especially not Koga nor Inuyasha.

They finally made it to the beach to meet up with the guys as Kagome grinned to herself and shook her head out of disbelief.

"I can't believe you actually made me tag along," Kagome whispered to Sango's ear.

Sango giggled at her friend before she cleared her throat. "Well, at least you won't be the third wheel now would you, Kagome?" She responded back loudly for the whole team to hear as she glared at Inuyasha while stating her response with a grin.

Kagome just rolled her eyes as she picked the option to ignore her teasing friend as she laid her towel on the sand and her umbrella on top of the towel so that the wind won't blow it away.

Inuyasha just couldn't look away from Kagome as she sat down on her towel to put on some sunscreen. Her all black bathing suit was barely even covering her delicious womanly parts with the top suit only slightly covering her sweet, pinkish nipples while allowing full cleavage to be exposed. While the bottom suit only covering her full womanhood, but the thin line strings from each side of her gorgeous thighs doesn't cover anything else at all, really.

Just by staring at her made Inuyasha hard and all he could ever think about is him inside of her only fully covered part in between her smooth, silky, creamy, porcelain, long, legs. He had to lick his lips once again like he did the other night to try and stop the urge of wanting her, and then her luscious lips came to his mind once again and now he couldn't help but to stare at them. They were partly parted as she tried to put on sunscreen everywhere she possibly could on her body. Those pink with a slight tint of red lips so desperately wanted to be kissed was being licked by her own tongue which made him swallow hard.

He then all of a sudden got out of the trance that she had hold of him. What was going on? Yes, he did look at other girls hungrily like he is looking at her, but why does it feel like he wants her more than he wanted any other girl that he could easily pick out of? Is it because she is unobtainable? Untouchable?

He cleared his throat as he kneeled down to her length. "Want me to help you get some on your back?" Inuyasha asked while trying to steady his voice.

Kagome swallowed, not liking the idea of him apply some on her back, but all she did was nod as he grabbed a hold of the sunscreen from her hand.

He put some on his left hand while squeezing the bottle with his right and then he rubbed his hands together before applying it onto you silky, smooth skin. He rubbed through her skin slowly and fully, trying so hard not to make any move on her even though he desperately wants to make do with her right then and there in front of everybody else, not caring who watches.

He finally finished applying the sunscreen on her as they both realized that Miroku was doing the same thing for Sango at the same time but once Miroku was done, Sango quickly got up to her feet.

"Kagome, let's go in the water!" She giggled with excitement as she jumped up and down softly.

"I… Uh…" Kagome swallowed hard.

"You haven't been to the beach before?" Inuyasha interrupted as he looked deeply into Kagome's eyes with shock.

'Who doesn't go to the beach?' Inuyasha thought to himself.

"N-no no, I h-have," Kagome began. "I just haven't been in the water, especially when it's this wavy," she stated.

Inuyasha smiled with actually a big friendly smile as he got up and held out his hand for Kagome to hold on to. "I'll never let go of your hand the whole time we are in the water. All you have to do is trust me on this."

His friendly smile turned into a friendly grin as he waited for her to accept his hand and she did.

Kagome grabbed Inuyasha's hand as she held on to it tight while Sango held on to Miroku's hand tightly as all four of them started going into the dancing waters together.

As they all were in the water while Miroku and Sango were five feet away from Inuyasha and Kagome, the wave instantly hit them everywhere as they all struggled to keep holding of each other's hand. Inuyasha and Kagome didn't go more than a knee length due to Kagome getting scared to go in even further as waves constantly kept hitting them without giving them a breather to catch their breaths. The water was also too cold for Kagome to handle, and she knew that she could get a really bad cold after this.

Right when Kagome was about to tell Inuyasha that she wants to get out of the water, a big wave hit the both of them. That wave was strong enough to break apart Inuyasha's hold on Kagome as the wave grabbed Kagome away into the deep part of the ocean where the water was on Kagome's chin length now. Big problem with that is… Kagome didn't know how to swim or to pull herself up to the shore.

Kagome struggled to keep her head out of the water, but current wouldn't allow her to as she went completely under water and black out from lack of oxygen.

"Kagome!" Inuyasha screamed out as he tried to swim over to Kagome's side with his demonic speed as the waves started to piss him off.

He dived under the water to look for her until he finally saw those beautiful thick, long, wavy, black hair as the curls were untangled from the water. He quickly rushed over to her and grabbed her by the waist. He tried to pull her to the shore while trying to fight the waves' currents that were trying to pull them both back to be swallowed up into the water.

As he finally reached over to the sore, he saw both Sango and Miroku quickly rushing over to Kagome as Inuyasha held her up into a bridal style as they finally got out of the water and settled her on to the warm, soft sand at the ground.

"Kagome," Inuyasha whispered to her while laying down next to her, trying to wake her up as she was out cold.

"I think she needs CPR!" Sango called out as other strangers started to pile around to look at the unconscious girl in front of them.

"Where is the lifeguard!?" Someone screamed.

"I know CPR!" A guy raised his hand as he rushed through the crowed to Kagome.

"No!" Inuyasha growled at the young man. "I'm going to do it," he whispered slightly as he looked softly at Kagome's half parted lips.

Those luscious lips, still as beautiful as ever. He caressed her left cheek with his right hand softly until his hand reached to her chin as he softly squeezed her cheeks together. Then, his left hand softly grabbed her nose as he slightly pulled it up to open up her mouth some more to allow him more access to those luscious lips. As everything was set, he took a deep breath and parted his lips with hers while exhaling his breath to her.

He did that countless time while pulling away quickly to also give her heart the chest compression until she finally came to, spitting out the extra water from her system into the air that fill on top of her chest and chin.

Everybody cheered as she kept coughing while trying to catch her breath and to make sense of what just happened to her.

"Don't ever scare me like that ever again, Kagome. You hear me?" she heard a soft masculine voice say to her.

Her eyes were still blurry to make out anything yet, even as to who was so close in front of her right now. All she could see was those familiar long, silver hair before she passed out again in his arms, but this time out of exhaustion and fright at her close to death experience.
