Chapter 4. – Beach Fever.

Four Years Ago…

"Please, Mr. Totosai! I can't live in a dorm room with someone else other than my best friend," Sango cried out to the advisor as Kagome just stood there in silence the whole time. Both hoping that the advisor will give in. "I'm sure you can do something about us having the same room!"

"Okay, okay," called out Mr. Totosai with a very cranky, old voice. "I'll tell the other two ladies to share the dorm room number 156 while you and Ms. Higurashi here get dorm room number 152," Mr. Totosai finally gave in with a sigh as he fixed his glasses from under his eyes to look at the computer screen on his desk.

"But do not make me regret it, since I wasn't supposed to change dorm rooms for the students' wishes in the first place. Consider yourself lucky that I'm in a good mood today," he added as he changed the room numbers from the computer while the two girls giggled to themselves as they walked out of the office with excitement.

"What did I tell you!?" Sango giggled as she walked down the hallway with Kagome.

"You'll do anything to get what you want, huh?" Kagome giggled along as she looked at her best friend with amazement.

"Yep! And we are going to have the best college life ever, I assure you," Sango giggled out once again.

"Just don't distract me from my studies, and I'm up for anything," Kagome stated.

Sango rolled her eyes as she skipped down the hallway.

"I'm going to the courtyard to study, okay?" Kagome broke the silence that made Sango sigh.

"Fine, geek. I'll go to the arcade and have some fun like a normal girl before classes start… I don't know, a week from now," Sango stated with a sarcastic voice as she waved her hand 'bye' while walking off.

Then it was Kagome's turn to sigh at her best friend from behind before she went to her old dorm room to pick up her things. She began to move her things to her new dorm room that was only two doors away. Then she picked up some of textbooks for her classes and went off to the courtyard.

God, that courtyard was so beautiful. No wonder this university was really expensive as she and Sango were one of the really lucky ones to get a scholarship. Either you have to be extremely rich to come here, or extremely lucky to have a scholarship instead.

She saw most of the students wearing a shirt that emphasizes that they are from Shikon Shard High, which is a private school for the rich kids, and no other students were allowed if they didn't have the money to afford it. Kagome never really knew what was so different about that private school from her Shikon Jewel High public school she and Sango went to. Shikon Shard High was a low- and middle-class parents' dream school to send their kids. Apparently, it has better academics than the public schools and more dedicated teachers.

Kagome and Sango wasn't poor at all, both their parents were middle class that had enough money to support themselves along with a few leftovers for 'wanted' things, but just not enough to put their kids to that private school.

Kagome cleared her throat as she looked away from the other students and opened her physics textbook to review the material.

Then at that moment she slowly felt a shadow blocking the sunlight on the left side of her which caused her to close her eyes and take a deep breath from annoyance wondering who was blocking her light.

She slightly turned her head in annoyance. While she was about to tell the person to get out of her comfort zone, she gasped as she stood up real quick while dropping all her books on the ground when she saw who the person actually was.

"K-Koga," she choked out his name with fear developing in her eyes as they grew wider.

"Hey, baby. Missed me?" Koga grinned, slightly showing his pure white teeth with two side teeth pointed like fangs.

At that moment, Kagome didn't know what else to do but back away from him slowly before she quickly turned on her heels and ran to a forest near the back of the university, which wasn't really a smart idea to do. She quickly ran deeper and deeper into the forest, but what she didn't know was that she and Koga caught the attention of a curtain human.

As she ran away in the forest, she quickly took her phone and sent a text to Sango that read,

"Cum 2 da forest in da bk of da skool n call 911! Koga is bk again…"

She tapped send and kept running as fast as she could deep in the forest.

Koga laughed from behind her until he finally decided to run with his demonic speed in front of her, causing Kagome to abruptly stop with a gasp.

From that point on she could hear her heartbeat racing like crazy, wanting a way out of her chest.

"You are making it so much easier for me, my dear Ka-go-me. Running towards the woods where no one can hear or see you? Are you that stupid, wench?" he spouted out as he then started to laugh maniacally displaying his fangs in his mouth.

While Koga was laughing, Kagome tried to make a run for it by turning around, but instead Koga punched Kagome hard in the eye that no doubt will have a black bruise later.

Coming out of her shock, she found herself flat on the grassy ground with him on top of her.

Kagome's eyes popped out big and full of fright as Koga grinned down at her.

"You are mine, bitch. Rather you like it or not, I'm going to take you here and now, wench," he stated as he leaned down to her neck with his fangs starting to bite down on her skin softly, but not entirely. He was trying to make her his mate.

She tried to push him away and started to scream only to find his huge right hand on her mouth as his whole body pressed down on her where she couldn't move as much as she wanted to. He then moved his left hand down on her silky, smooth leg to lift up her skirt.

Tears finally fell down her face while she started to sob in fear of what he was planning on doing to her.

"What kind of a man forces a woman to be with him like this? Or should I even consider a demon like you a man?" came a voice from behind them.

Koga growled as he lifted his head up towards the direction in annoyance and anger.

"Who the fuck are you?" Koga growled as he got off of Kagome, forming both his hands into fists.

All Kagome could do when she was finally freed was to crawl behind that man's back.

She still wasn't sure if he was even here to save her, but she felt safer with him than being near this psychopath.

"Someone who doesn't appreciate guys forcing themselves on girls, especially filthy demons like you," the man responded as he stepped forward which caused Koga to laugh.

"And what can a mere human such as yourself can possibly do about it, huh?" Koga chuckled as he was about to attack the man.

But before Koga could even possibly think about attacking him, the man just simply grinned as he held out his right hand with the light purple beads around it.

"Better hold on tight, demon," he warned with a grin as he got completely in front of Kagome.

"Wind tunnel!" the man called out as he held out his right hand and unwrapped the beads to reveal a small black hole that centered on his palm.

The black hole sucked in everything and anything in its way, and Koga screamed out trying to get away from the blast. He held on to the tree behind him as tight as he could while his legs flew in the air from the attack.

The scene looked priceless that Kagome couldn't help but start to laugh at the sight.

"Stop right there!" came yet another voice from behind them, but this time they were the cops that Sango called for help.

The man with a hole in his hand quickly stopped his attack and wrapped the beads around his hand to his wrist as he turned around to face the cops with both his hands up in the air.

Sango then quickly ran to Kagome with a great anxiety for her best friend.

Koga finally stood up as he marched away fast with fear that turned into anger, but he wasn't fast enough as one of the demon cops came in front of him and made him turn around with his hands in the back of his back as he faced flat on the grass of the ground. Then the cop put on a pair of demon resistant handcuffs on Koga's wrists as he was led to the back of a police car. There were a total of two police cars that was parked right outside of the forest, blocking a sidewalk.

"You," the human cop pointed a finger at the black hole man only to have Kagome step in.

"He was only here to defend me, and he is just a witness at what happened or almost happened to me," Kagome defended.

Sango just glared at the guy while he just simply looked at her and Kagome. Then all three of them headed to the back seat of the other police car to give out their statement at the police station.

There they were instructed to write a statement about the attack to finally sue that son of a bitch once and for all. Sango's main concern was that Koga won't bother Kagome ever again, but she fears that he will continue to come after her even when he gets out of jail.

"Weird time and place to introduce myself but, my name is Miroku," said the black hole man.

The two girls turned towards him and introduced themselves as well.

"I have never seen anyone with a power like yours," Kagome added when they all finished introducing themselves.

Miroku then held up his right hand and stared at his covered palm with a frown.

"It's a cure that runs in my family," Miroku answered as the two girls just simply stared at him in awe.

The Present…

"There is no escape from me."

"N-no…"

"Kagome?"

"You are mine, bitch."

"S-stay away from me…"

"Ka-go-me?"

"My dear Ka-go-me."

"L-let me go…"

"Kagome!"

"I'm going to take you here and now, wench."

"Wake up, you wench!"

"Ahhhh!" Kagome screamed out with tears in her eyes as she slapped Inuyasha on the cheek.

"I'm not a wench! I'm not a wench, I'm not a wench…" she added in between her breaths while trying to find a way to get out and away from him.

But the thing was that they were in Miroku's SUV heading to the hospital, long gone away from the beach with Miroku driving, Sango in the passenger seat and Inuyasha trying to get a hold of Kagome in the back seat.

"What the hell, you bitch!" Inuyasha screamed out in both shock and pain as he rubbed his now stunned cheek.

"Stay away from me!" Kagome still screamed by not fully being awake from her nightmare.

"Let me go!"

"Kagome, it was just a dream. Snap out of it!" called Sango as she turned her head to look at Kagome.

"'Gome, you are safe now. I beat that asshole's ass remember?" Miroku called out while looking at Kagome in the rearview mirror. "He's not going to lay a hand on you ever again."

Kagome finally started to calm down as she kept taking fast breaths in fear until she took a big deep breath to calm herself down a little bit more.

"Are you okay now?" Inuyasha asked as his back was hitting the door on the right side while both his arms held out straight in front of him to save himself from another Kagome attack.

"Mhm," Kagome just nodded quickly as she just looked blankly to verify where she was exactly.

"We are close to the hospital. Do you want to go to the emergency room to see if you are doing okay? You did drown after all," Sango said in concern as her head was still facing Kagome on her left.

"N-no, I'm fine. Just take me back to my dorm, Miroku," Kagome finally made herself say while she felt a sharp pain in her chest whenever she tried to breathe out.

Miroku then signaled to the right lane to find a way to make a U-turn to the dorm of the university.

Inuyasha looked down at both Kagome's hands and saw that they were shaking with fright as he gently put his left hand over both her hands.

Kagome gasped at the sudden touch but was calm enough to allow his touch to comfort her.

It's okay, you're safe," Inuyasha comforted her. "I kicked his ass and I'll do it again if he has the guts to come near you ever again."

Kagome just simply looked at him with a smile as all of her fears finally went away.

They got out of the car as they finally went to the dorm room of their university.

"I can walk, okay? I am not disabled!" called out Kagome a little annoyed with all the unwanted attention from her friends.

"Jeez, wench. All we're trying to do is to help you out," Inuyasha called out as he rolled his eyes.

"Don't call me that," Kagome growled from under her breath as she glared at Inuyasha.

"Oh whatever. I'm gone, peace," Inuyasha waved his hand 'bye' as he walked off.

Kagome sighed when they finally went to the dorm room.

Both the girls from then on said their goodbyes to Miroku as he also went off to leave the girls alone for the day.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Sango finally broke the silence as Kagome sat down on her bed as she continues to server hard of breath and coughs that all caused her chest pain to worsen.

"Yes, why does everybody keep asking me that?" Kagome sighed as she laid down on her bed trying to hide her chest pain from her friend.

"Inuyasha saved your life you know?" Sango added with a grin.

Kagome just didn't respond as her mind was playing back the events that happened to her four years ago along with her feeling the touch of Inuyasha's lips on hers when he was giving her CPR. Even though she was unconscious, she still felt his touch…

She then quickly erased the memory away from her head and tried to force herself to sleep as sweat slowly started to form on her forehead.

Inuyasha growled as his hands were in fists when he paced around the room of his apartment. He couldn't get her out of his mind.

Is she feeling any better?

Did she sleep?

Did she eat?

Why was he feeling this guilt and worry? It has to stop now!

He sighed as he finally sat down on his sofa, trying to forget about the concern he was having over that wench as he held out his cell phone to call for what he does best.

"Kik, come over now. I need you," he hung up without waiting for her response as his right leg started to shake from impatience and annoyance.

It is fake. His concern and soft side is all fake just to impress that bitch so that he could break her and win that stupid bet. That's all this is, nothing more and nothing less. He has to play the role that would get her to come all over him, and he will make her first time the best time that she will ever have. He was sure of it.

He grinned at the thought of her breaking from under his arms, those screams that will come out of her lips and he will be the one to make her scream like that. God, he was getting so hard at the thought of her tight surroundings begging for his entrance.

So yeah, this concern shit is all fake. Not real, nope, nada, zilch. That girl was on his 'Hit that Ass' list and he will do whatever he can to make that happen, to make her his, just for one night anyway.

Hundred thousand bucks in U.S. cash will be in his pockets sooner than Miroku thinks, he better start saving now!

"Ugh!" Inuyasha started growing even more impatient as he got bored and tired of the thoughts in his head as his leg started to twitch even more out of impatience as he rolled his eyes. He needed an ass like now!

"Dammit, where is that slut? My balls are about to explo-" just when he was thinking out loud, the doorbell finally rang and Inuyasha rushed toward the door to reveal Kikyo with her super short leather skirt and a half-cut shirt.

Without even saying a word or even allowing her to enter his apartment, he just simply bit down on her lips and grabbed her with her legs automatically wrapping around his waist while he closed the door of his apartment with his foot.

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP…

"Ugh… that noise again," Sango mumbled when the alarm clock started to ring for the 5th time only to have its owner not respond to it.

Sango looked at the time that read, 6:36 AM.

"Kagome?" Sango whispered as she went over to her roommate only to see her full of sweat and shivering from under the sheets.

Sango put the palm of her hand on Kagome's forehead and then gasped.

"You are burning up! Kagome can you hear me!?" Sango called out in concern only to get a weak nod from Kagome as she got her phone and dialed Miroku's number.

"Hello?" Miroku answered in a husky, sleepy voice.

"Miroku, come quick! Kagome is burning up with sweat pouring out of her! She has a really bad fever and she's shivering underneath! I need help carrying her to the car! We need to take her to the hospital now!" Sango spouted in jumbled words hoping that Miroku could understand her.

"I'm on my way," he responded and hung up as did Sango.

Miroku finally came ten minutes later as he banged on the door multiple times until Sango opened it.

"How is she?" Miroku said as he rushed over to Kagome and put the palm of his left hand on her forehead just like Sango did ten minutes ago.

"Damn," he breathed out and he took all the covers away from Kagome's body off as he then held her up to carry her bridal style to his car.

They finally made it to the hospital thirty minutes later, cursing to themselves of why the closest hospital had to be so far away.

Kagome finally managed to have enough strength to walk on her own to the Emergency room, and Miroku agreed to stay in the car so both him and Sango doesn't over crowd Kagome.

It took ten minutes to sit in the waiting room, followed by another ten minutes of waiting for the doctor to knock the door Kagome was assigned to wait in.

"I thought this was the damn emergency room!" Sango yelled out while pacing in circles around the small room.

When the doctor finally came, Sango told him about Kagome's condition only to have Kagome blankly agree with Sango. The looks on Kagome's face said enough already.

The doctor nodded and then examined Kagome with the thermometer and so on with other things for about another ten minutes or possibly a little less than that.

The doctor's expression changed a bit when he was examining Kagome's heart rate and noticed the pain that she was trying so hard to hide when she was breathing in and out from her mouth like the doctor restricted.

"I think you just have a common cold, which explains the fever," the doctor finally broke the silence as he was still examining Kagome's heartbeat. "But, did you by any chance suffered from lack of breath recently?" he added with a question.

"Well, she did drown yesterday at the beach, but thanks to one of our friends who saved her by giving CPR," Sango answered the doctor's question only to have the doctor look at Kagome.

"Is that true?" he said, wanting the answer directly from Kagome.

"Y-yes," Kagome's voice forcefully broke out.

With that, the doctor got up and started writing something on a mini note pad.

"Okay, it looks like you are suffering from pneumonia. I am going to prescribe you an antibiotic capsule and an asthma inhaler for it. The oxygen in the inhaler is not just the oxygen we breathe right now. It is mixed with some medicine that can help cure your lung damage in which will help with the sharp pain in your chest. The asthma inhaler is also temporarily only until you finally get enough oxygen into your lungs and until you don't feel that sharp pain in your chest anymore. When you feel like you are breathing perfectly fine without the inhaler, you don't have to use it anymore and you don't have to wait for my approval on that. Same with the antibiotic capsule, once you feel better, you can stop taking that as well." the doctor stated as he finished adding everything he mentioned in on her chart.

The doctor then gave the prescription tickets to Kagome for her to take to the pharmacy.

Three loud bangs were heard on the door that made Inuyasha growl as he looked at the time to see it read, 7:36 AM.

He growled as he got off the bed shirtless with just his boxer shorts on. Right behind him came Kikyo who wore a big large shirt she found in Inuyasha's closet that barely came to her upper thigh.

Inuyasha opened the door half asleep to reveal no other than his older half-brother, Sesshomaru.

"What do you want this early in the fucking morning, Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha growled out not wanting to deal with the presence of his brother, especially when he just woke up this early.

"Is that a way to treat a family member?" Sesshomaru sarcastically responded until he looked behind Inuyasha once he sniffed a human stench.

He then grinned to his little brother. "Like father like son, huh? Always humans would be your taste in women," he added still looking at the human girl in front of him.

Inuyasha sighed as he finally turned around to face Kikyo. "Put on your close and get gone, wench," he stated until he turned around to face Sesshomaru again.

"Is that anyway to treat a woman?" Sesshomaru called out again with another sarcastic voice. "You still haven't learned how to treat women with respect have you?"

Inuyasha rolled his eyes as Kikyo finally left the two brothers alone.

When Kikyo was gone, Sesshomaru finally made his way inside Inuyasha's apartment. He sat down on a sofa with his legs up on the coffee table in front of him, making himself at home.

Inuyasha sighed as he closed the front door and turned to Sesshomaru. "What the hell do you want, Sesshomaru?"

"Well, I'm here to know why my little brother has yet to come by the company or even to our father's house for a visit to announce his arrival back home," Sesshomaru stated.

"I was going to come whenever I felt like it," Inuyasha growled out as he started to get angrier by the minute.

"Oh? And when would that be exactly?" Sesshomaru's tone also changed to rage as he took his feet away from the coffee table and stood up fast with frustration. "Ugh, god! Inuyasha, would you ever stop thinking about your goddamn self and just think about your family and this company for a chance!? Do you even know the status we are in right now?"

Inuyasha just simply rolled his eyes and shrugged, royally pissing Sesshomaru off. He marched as fast as he could, pushing Inuyasha up against the wall with his left upper arm pushing against Inuyasha's neck.

"You do not even deserve one percent of the inheritance that father gave you from the company," Sesshomaru growled from under his breath as his golden eyes glared with hatred into Inuyasha's golden eyes.

"This is about the seventy percent of the company's shares that father decided to give me, huh?" Inuyasha grinned with amusement as he looked deep into his brother's eyes.

And with that Sesshomaru punched a hole on the wall near Inuyasha's face with his right fist.

"You cannot live off of your daddy's money forever, half-breed," Sesshomaru growled menacingly as he tried to control his anger and took a step back away from Inuyasha.

"You have always been so jealous of me to even realize why father does what he does! He doesn't favorite me at all, Sesshomaru. He has pity over me, and he blames me for the death of my mother! The only reason it might seem that I'm his favorite is because I'm the child of the only woman he truly fell in love with!" Inuyasha snapped until he slowly calmed down his anger.

"I can see it in his eyes; the pain, the pity, the guilt, loss. Sesshomaru, he doesn't have to worry about the future you have in store for yourself. I just don't give a shit about my future or this stupid inheritance. So if you have a problem, talk to father about it because I had nothing to do with his decision," Inuyasha finished his statement as he glared at Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru quietly turned around to face the front door. He turned his head to the side to add one last remark.

"You should check the company's status. Just recently the Onigumo's company's status went passed us with their jewelry being sold forty percent more than ours. We also realized that he got a hold of our customers by thirty percent. At this rate, we might lose more money than we'll gain," with that he walked off shutting the door from behind him.

Inuyasha rolled his eyes and sighed as he sat down on his sofa. He rubbed his forehead to stop the developing pain from his body not waking up naturally.

He would usually ignore that responsibility and just indulge in the folds of a woman like he always would, but unfortunately this time the company was starting to be in bad shape. He has no other choice but to make a little visit to his father's office.

The doctor allowed Kagome to lay in the hospital bed for another thirty minutes. A nurse came in to give her a free sample of the medicine she was supposed to get.

Miroku sighed of relief when he saw Kagome and Sango finally walked out of the hospital.

"I was going to text you guys. I got so worried, you guys been there for about an hour or even more," Miroku said as he hugged Kagome and kissed Sango on the cheek.

"What happened?" he added with concern.

"She got pneumonia because of the beach yesterday, and the doctor gave her medicine for that," Sango explained as all three of them got to the car.

"You will feel better in no time, Kagome. I guarantee it," Miroku called out as he looked in the rearview mirror at Kagome before he drove off back to the girl's dorm room.

As Miroku started driving off, his phone rang through his SUV's Bluetooth speaker, and the touchscreen on his SUV read Inuyasha's name.

"It's Inuyasha," Miroku stated before he tapped the green button on the touchscreen to answer the call through Bluetooth.

'Fuck the company. Fuck the inherit. Oh, I'm going to fuck the shit out of this girl!' Inuyasha thought as he screamed out in pleasure with a random girl under him that he didn't care enough to even remember her name.

So much sweat formed all over his body from the hot, sweaty sex as he felt like he was growing hotter and hotter by the second. Once his climax was reached and unloaded, he collapsed on the other side of the bed on his sweaty back. He tried to catch his breath from the little adventure that he just had.

The girl giggled as she came to his side and placed kisses all around his face to his lips where she stuck her tongue in. He kissed her back while closing his eyes as he explored the mouth of this whore until he had enough of her and pushed her over.

"That's enough, slut. Now get lost," he told her as he got up and started putting on his boxer shorts.

"Wow, you really are what everyone says about you," the girl responded back with a giggle as she put on all of her clothes.

"Like I care what others say or think about me," he mumbled.

"Well, you should, considering you are the son of one of the richest men in the city. Everybody, even the ones that you haven't even met knows you and your reputation which is not good nor eligible for a businessman. I still don't know what you father is thinking giving you that seventy percent-"

Inuyasha growled loud as his demon side started to take over with his golden eyes turning blood red as he choked the life out of the girl that was cut off by her little speech from his attack.

"Leave," he growled with those blood red eyes and purple strips that were starting to faintly reveal itself on Inuyasha's cheeks.

The girl just nodded with a whimper as she coughed her insides out when Inuyasha finally let her go before she rushed out of his apartment.

Inuyasha took slow deep breaths in and out when the nosy bitch finally left. He calmed himself trapping the demon side back deep inside of himself.

Once he had full control of himself again, he took his phone and dialed Miroku's number.

"Hello?" Miroku answered at the other end of the phone.

"Miro, wanna meet up somewhere and do something? I'm bored as hell over here," Inuyasha complained.

"Yash, I can't do anything right now," Miroku responded out.

"And why is that?" Inuyasha growled getting irritated from boredom.

"It's Kagome. She is sick-" Miroku tried to explain when Kagome cut him off on the back seat of the SUV.

"For god's sake, you guys act like I'm dying over here!" Kagome choked out with a shaky and out of breath voice.

Inuyasha could hear her sick voice through the other end of the phone which made him squeeze his phone tighter at the thought of knowing that she was sick.

"Did you guys go to the doctor?"

"We just came from there and I'm taking Sango and Kagome back to their dorm."

"I'll meet you guys there." Inuyasha hung up when he said his last sentence without even waiting for a response on the other end.

With limited time to waste, he quickly rinsed off the stench from the sex he recently had in the shower. Then he went to his closet to pull an outfit together and stormed out of his apartment with wallet, keys and phone in hand.
