Stefan could finally stomach looking at himself in the mirror so he could tell that things were getting better. He's never hated himself so much and couldn't remember the last time he's shed so many tears. Hopefully, though, it would all be worth it because his Bonnie would be back in his arms. He misses her terribly and loves her so much it pains him, but he welcomes it and uses that as motivation to get her back. He's been avoiding her in every way possible, through technology and in-person so now that he plans to meet her at a party hosted by Caroline (whom he asked to throw), he's unsure about how he's going to react. He's not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. He may drop to his knees and break down in front of everyone, especially if Thomas will be her plus one. His plan was to simply get her alone and apologize as he looked into her glowing emerald eyes.

He misses her so much.

Stefan stayed within the shadows, watching the door. Every time it would open, it wouldn't be her and he's starting to get frustrated. Maybe she's not coming, maybe he should have confirmed with Caroline if she was coming or no— he couldn't breathe. There she is. Standing by the door looking as beautiful as ever. Her hair in curls in a ponytail dressed in a black long-sleeved dress that stopped just above her knees. She had black stockings and black boots with no makeup on her face. The way he loves her the most. She's alone, he smiled at the fact that she's alone and he goes to step out of the shadow, but the door opens again and he sees Thomas now standing beside her. He watched them smile and kiss and his heart pounds with jealousy and sadness. They walk over to Caroline and hug her before going into a conversation. He looks around thinking that it may be best if Bonnie sees him as he's mingling with someone else, so he looks around and spots Jeremy. Maybe he could go over there and thank him for keeping his mouth shut back at Bonnie's party and hopefully a conversation can get started off of that. Bonnie would see and once he feels her eyes on him, he'll look up and have their souls connected.

He pushed himself from the wall and walked over to Jeremy. The young man smiled. "Hey,"

"Hey, man, I just want to um thank you for not telling Bonnie that I crashed her party."

He nodded. "You were right. I did know how you felt, still do sometimes when I see her happy. I screwed up. Looks like we both did."

"I'm still trying to make things right. But now that Thomas is in the picture, it's making my job more difficult."

"You might have to let her go, man. Things between them are pretty serious, I hear."

He sighed then stiffened feeling her gaze. He looked over at her meeting their eyes but before their souls could touch, she looked away.

"Good luck," Jeremy patted him on the shoulder before walking away.

He stood there then walked towards the bathroom but paused hearing her voice call for him. He turned towards her and feels the strong need to just hold her face but stops himself.

"You turned it on," she watched his eyes.

"I did,"

"Why?"

"Because of you. I'm so sorry for ever disrespecting you like that by driving away. I could barely look at myself for days now. I was such a fucking idiot. Please forgive me."

"I forgive you,"

He took a step ready to hold her but paused. "Thank you. How are things with Thomas?" His heart stung as she smiled at the mention of his name.

"Great, actually, thanks."

He nodded once. "You look um, you look very beautiful. I almost fainted when I saw you walk in." He smiled hearing her laugh. "I missed you so much."

She watched his eyes. "Stef—"

"Hey, man, I'm Thomas." He stepped beside her and pulled her closer to his side.

"Stefan."

He nodded. "I can't believe I'm finally meeting the famous ripper."

"Those days are behind me now and hopefully forever. At least until the apocalypse."

Bonnie chuckled. "Anyway, it was nice talking to you, Stef." She grabbed Thomas' hand and walked away.

"I didn't know the two of you dated."

She nodded. "He was the guy I was telling you about the day we first went out."

Stefan closed his eyes stopping himself from watching their every move and took deep breaths.

"Hey,"

He heard a calm voice console him and he knew it was Caroline so he stayed as-is. She goes on to tell him to hang in there and that she spotted a flip within her friend after she noticed he had his emotions back. She told him that it was only a matter of time so he had to be patient and maybe show up at her place randomly one day if he ever wanted to speed up the process. He chuckled, opening his eyes the let out a breath.

"Now it's your turn to help me, give me a confidence boost to talk to Elena."

The mention of her name brought him back to the time he told Bonnie about their moment together and how she didn't care at all. Not an ounce. The stinging started up again and Caroline sensed it for she asked him what was wrong. "Bonnie didn't tell you?" He questioned and let out a breath when she shook her head. "When Elena found out about you and my brother, she came to me and we- it was a mistake."

"Wow."

"But afterward she told me that she only did it to get back at Damon and Bonnie because she kept the secret. When I told her that I don't see you getting hurt in what had just gone down, she told me that you'd beat yourself up more than she ever could. That her simply not talking to you will eat you up alive. I guess she was right."

The blonde let out a breath. "Thanks for telling me though I don't know why Bonnie didn't,"

"I only told Bonnie about Elena and me, not the revenge on you part."

She inhaled then exhaled. "Okay. If she wants me to suffer in order for her to feel better and potentially forgive me in the future, then I'll put on my acting face."

"Dance with me first."

Her eyes inflated. "What?"

"You helped me, I helped you, now it's your turn again. Dance with me,"

"You better not get Bonnie to hate me as well."

He smiled, then twirled her out then into his chest. They shortly started to move around more together triggering people around them to dance to the beat as well.

Bonnie watched them with a small smile then looked down at her hands before up at them again and this time she captured Stefan's eyes. He was dancing with Caroline but somehow she felt his hand holding hers and his arm around her waist as if she tethered all of Caroline's sense of feeling onto herself. Her mouth dropped slightly watching his hand move slowly up her friend's back and felt it on her own. She looked back to see if Thomas has returned from the bathroom but no one was near. She looked back over at Stefan and closed her eyes, feeling his lips on her cheek as he kissed Caroline there once the song ended. It was as if he knew she could feel everything he was doing. Her eyes snapped open, hearing her text alert ding.

When can I see you? Alone.

Her mouth dried. I'm not sure if that's a good idea

Why not?

She started to type, but he sent another message.

I'll treat you with respect, I promise. I know you're with him.

She smiled at his refusal to use Thomas' name. I'll get back to you later with info,

Looking forward to it.

PS

I knew you felt me.

She swallowed then looked over to her right, smiling as he stood by her. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty tired,"

He grabbed her hand then they headed towards the door.

Stefan knocked four times then took a step back. The sun helped warm his body on the rather chilly morning. The door opened and he stepped inside as she stepped to the side, letting him in. He turned to face her as she closed the door and waited against it for a few seconds before turning her body to face his. She wanted to kiss him. Wanted him to hold her and touch her all over. She's been yearning for it for a while now but actually feeling his hands yesterday night triggered her need even more. Which was why she's dressed the way she is.

His eyes darkened seeing her only dressed in a lace slip that stopped far above the knees. He grew hard at the sight of her, but wouldn't make a move unless she initiates it. He told her that he would respect her but the thoughts he has swirling in his mind don't exactly line up. He stills as she starts walking over to him and a spark pops as she grabs his hand and leads him upstairs to her bedroom. Bonnie makes him walk backward until he's seated on the end of her bed and she straddled his lap feeling his hardness. Her heart speeds but she manages to lean into his ear and say,

"I just want you to touch me. And grab me all over."

He moves his hands to her thighs, rubbing them up the skin and up into her slip. Her breaths shorten feeling his hands on her stomach, back then breasts.

"May I touch you with my tongue as well?"

She nods slowly, closing her eyes, feeling his tongue move across her neck. She bites down on her bottom lip and couldn't stop her hips from rocking into him. He squeezed her ass, moaning at the feel of her against him, and runs both hands up her back to pull her in closer to his body. "I'll give you anything you want. Just say it." He licks her ear.

"I want to ride you."

He speeds and removes his shoes, socks, pants, and boxers before placing her back on his lap. She removes his shirt then aligns herself with him, throwing her head back sliding down on him. Stefan moves his left arm around her waist and his right hand to her ass feeling her hips rock. "Fuck, you're so wet,"

Stefan shoots up hearing his alarm go off and he curses seeing himself in full salute. He shuts off the alarm and walks into his bathroom, turning on the shower. He exhales then steps into it, then closes his eyes thinking of Bonnie. Her skin, her eyes, her gorgeous face as his hand moved faster until he comes. He lets out several breaths then washes his body a couple of times then steps out. He ties his towel around his waist then goes back to his phone reading over the text he got from Bonnie last night. She wanted them to meet at his cabin in the woods and though it's not at her house, a part of him is hoping that his dream comes true. Even if it doesn't lead to sex, he needs her body. More than ever.

Bonnie pulls up to the cabin and smiled, remembering the last time she was here. Stefan and Elena were together at the time, but they were the ones to go hunt for firewood. It was the first time he made her actually laugh, the first time (in awhile at least) that she pictures herself dating him. The first time he touched her face. It was because of a fallen eyelash and after he made her make a wish on it, he caresses her face with his thumb before continuing on. It sparked a reaction in her panties but she tried to play it cool although she's ninety-eight percent sure Stefan smelt her. She wonders if this is where he possibly started seeing things with her as well.

She knocks four times and the door opens within seconds. She steps inside then turns to face him.

"What were you thinking about out there? I saw you smiling," he watched her do so again and walks up to her as she explains. He remembers that day vividly. Not only did he consider it being a possibility that he and Bonnie could make a great couple, but it was the first time he made her aroused. A simple caress of his thumb caused her panties to dampen and it was then that he realized she wasn't being catered to as a woman needs. Part of him just wanted to push her against a tree and fuck her, with her permission first, of course. "It was my first a lot of things with you too," he told her after she finished her story.

"That's not why I wanted us to- I just wanted us to come here because I know we won't get disrupted and I feel like we have a lot to talk about."

He nodded. "Of course," he took her hand and a spark ignited as he leads them to the couch.

"Stefan?" She watched him watch her. "I um, when you told me about you and Elena I cried. After you left with Damon. A strong part of me wanted to not care but I did. It really, really hurt me but at the same time, I understood in a way. We weren't together and just like me, you can do whatever you want to whomever you want."

"I didn't necessarily want to, I just- I was upset because it seemed like no matter what I did, you wouldn't come back to me. I told you because I had and have hope that one day we get back together and there will be no secrets between us. I'm sorry I made you cry,"

"It's okay."

He watched her look down at her hands and play with her fingers like she was nervous or scared to be in his presence. "Hey," he lifted her chin. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing,"

"Bon,"

"I'm sorry for making it seem like I didn't care because I care a lot but I was just so hurt. It's strange because in those moments I wanted you around more than ever but I was also pushing you away because I hated that I wanted you to be with me so bad."

"I would've done anything to be in your arms or to have you be in mine. I love you. So fucking much."

"And how does loving me make you feel?"

"Insane. Crazy." He smiled as she did. "I um I had a dream about us last night."

"Yeah?"

He nodded. "I came over to your place and you took my hand and our chemistry sparked and you led me to your bedroom. You straddled my lap and whispered in my ear that you wanted me to touch you all over." He watched her eyes. "I woke up to my alarm with a massive boner."

She laughed making him smile.

"How did you get rid of it?"

"I thought of you. In the shower."

She bit her bottom lip then released it. "When we went out those years ago to get the firewood after you touched my face, did you smell me?"

"Yes."

"You know how to play things very cool but a part of me knew you did."

"I wanted to fuck you against a tree. Satisfy you in a way Jeremy couldn't. You were too woman for him, he couldn't handle it. Not exactly his fault, but."

"I wish you would've."

"Really?"

She nodded. "Since the first time I saw you, I had a need for you. I always repressed it because of Elena but at that moment I would've welcomed it. Granted, I would've hated myself afterward, but I think if you would've done that, it would've saved me so much time and from a lot of hurt."

"I'm sorry,"

She smiled. "Don't apologize. The shit that I went through was shit that I needed to go through. A part of me feels like if I hadn't, I wouldn't have had the power to actually date you."

"Why do you say that?"

"It just made me a stronger person. Made me realize that I need to start doing things for myself and not to please other people. Made me think about my happiness and that it's okay if I put that first over everyone else's every once in a while."

He smiled. "You hungry?"

"Starving, actually." They chuckled. "What about you, when's the last time you fed?"

"I'm good, I promise. I had a blood bag this morning."

She nodded. "Just let me know if you need me."

He watched her eyes and a part of him wondered if she wanted him to feed on her. "I will." He glanced at her neck then cleared his throat. "Has Thomas ever–"

"No."

"Then I will take you up on that offer."

She chuckled. "Really,"

"A part of you is still mine if he hasn't. Theoretically, of course. I wouldn't want to disrespect."

She watched his eyes reddened and fangs sprout from his gums. She pulled the zipper from her jacket down and removed it completely before straddling his lap. His eyes rolled to the back of his head but he suppressed his need and drank from her. Her blood was intoxicating to him making it dangerous for the ripper inside but he loves her too much to ever harm her in such a way. He licks her wounds and lets the sparks of her power flow through his veins practically killing him. Bonnie manifests so much power that he doubts she knows just how powerful she is. She could destroy all in her way without batting an eyelash. He trained his body to adjust to her powers, but since it's been some time, it took him some time to adjust.

"How did you know?"

"Know what?"

"That I could feel your touch,"

He took several breaths. "The moment our eyes locked, Caroline's body changed into a shape I knew like the back of my hand. I tested it just to see and when you looked back to see if someone was touching you, I knew for certain. I would've done more but everyone was around and I wasn't exactly sure if Caroline could feel as well."

She watched his eyes then kissed him once, keeping their lips connected for five seconds before moving away, having their lips smack. She closed her eyes, feeling his hands on her ass. "Aren't you supposed to be making my lunch?" She reminded against his lips.

He chuckled. "I'm far too comfortable here with you in my lap."

"I guess I have to get off then."

"Take your time,"

She smiled.

Damon sighed as Elena moved her head away from his kisses. Right now his brother was in a cabin in the woods with the woman he did wrong but he can't simply get Elena out of the house with him. Why is Stefan always the one with good luck? Besides, wasn't he supposed to be helping him out with Elena? After all, it was his idea to get Stefan to give in to his emotions thus being the catalyst for him and Bonnie reconnecting. Where was his favor? His genius idea to soften Elena even if it was just a little bit. He guesses he'll just resort to the infamous W.W.S.T.S.K.D. What Would Stefan The Squirrel Killer Do?

"Babe," he sat in front of her, blocking her view from the television. "Please, can we at least talk about what happened?" Talking about feelings seems very Stefan-like.

"Caroline already told me."

"That's her side. Aren't you the least bit interested in mine?"

Elena let out a breath, looking into his eyes. Those ocean blue eyes that if she wasn't so mad, she would be forcing them shut by meeting their lips and shortly other body parts. But she hates him now. Well, not entirely but she does. After everything they've been through, he cheats on her with Caroline of all people. Not to say that she's a horrible person, but she's one of her best friends. She probably would have handled it better if it was just some random chick who she didn't have to see practically every day. But it was Caroline Forbes. The main person that was against their relationship from the start, mainly because she and Stefan got close, but she's told her countless times of how much of a monster he is and that comparing him to Satan would be an insult to Satan. "What exactly is your side, Damon?"

"Well," he exhaled, "she came over looking for you, wanting to talk about something but you were out. I offered her a drink, she accepted, and next thing I know we're talking about Stefan and Bonnie and how crazy it is that they're together and how we both never pictured that happening. It then shifted a little to when we- Stefan and I- came back to Mystic Falls and Caroline gagged at the fact that we ever dated and I tell her how it wasn't that bad just to kind of piss her off and she agreed and… we kissed. Then the rest followed. Afterward, we voiced how huge of a mistake it was and she wanted to tell you right away, but I didn't want you to know. I knew that you would probably never forgive me so I made her promise to keep her mouth shut. I guess that goes to show how easily she can break pinky promises."

"This isn't a joke, Damon."

"Sorry," he looked at her. "I really am sorry, Lena. You know I love you and I would do anything for you, anything to keep you out of harm's way and I have. Please just give me another chance, I had a small moment of weakness, a lapse of judgment. I will never speak to Caroline again if you want."

"I think- I think I just need some time. Away from all this."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm going to take a trip. Just to clear my mind and thoughts. Start anew."

"Where does that leave us?"

"I don't know, I'll tell you when I get back from my trip."

Damon watched her with a little shock behind his eyes as she got up and started packing a suitcase. "How long will you be gone?"

"Does it matter? Do you think you could keep it in your pants long enough until I return,"

"I mean of course but—"

"What? You want to be with me right, then prove that you have at least a little self-control. I won't be gone long, a few weeks to a month, tops."

He sat back on his bed still in stock but said nothing more as she continued to pack.

Stefan pokes her side causing her eyes to roll as she looked through social media. He chuckled and badly wanted for her to kiss him again but so far he hasn't been that lucky. Even after making her the best turkey sandwich she's ever had. He wasn't sure how long she was going to be in his company but if things turn out the way he hopes, she'll be here all day.

He blocks his face with his hand the second he sees her turn her phone towards him knowing that she was either recording or taking a photo, none of which he wanted to be involved in unless he was posing next to her. He moved his hand away hearing her laugh as she moved her phone in front of her. Her thumb moved across the screen, typing for a few seconds before she posted it. He made a mental note to look at it later.

"Babe,"

"You talkin to me?"

"Ha Ha. I thought we came here to bond but instead, you're on your phone."

"I can't take a fifteen-minute break?"

He sighed. "Fine."

Bonnie dropped her hands looking over at him seeing that he was in a mood. She meant what she said, what's so wrong with checking her phone for a few minutes, it's not like she's been on it all day. "Don't be like that," she swung her legs up on the couch, bending them at the knees as she rests her head on his lap, looking upward, letting out a breath, closing her eyes.

Stefan watched her for a few minutes then moved his hand to her chin, lifting it slightly. Her eyes opened and he started moving his head in closer to hers until their lips met. Their mouths opened to one another's, making out. Bonnie reaches her hand up into his hair causing him to hold her face. Their kissing slowed until it stopped and Stefan rested his head on her forehead as they breathed.

"Is that why you were acting pissy? You wanted to kiss me?" She smiled.

"Maybe,"

She chuckled making him smile and kiss her twice. "I love you."

"I love you too."

"Why did you kick me out when I first told you?"

"Because you said that you "fucking hated" that you love me. I don't want you to love me and despise it. I want you to love me and love loving me. Or at least maybe hate that you love me so much that I'm all you can think about all day every day, constantly on your mind, 24/7."

He shook his head. "Okay,"

"I should've explained that to you instead of just getting angry but at the same time I didn't want to give you the answer so that, like today, when you told me that you love me and I asked you how that made you feel, you didn't say that you hated it or that it sucks."

He watched her eyes. "When I said I hated it, I didn't mean anything negative by it."

"I know but- and I get that you turned it off but I was just really hoping that you would be willing to love me and not have it be or seem to be the biggest struggle you've ever gone through."

He kissed her cheek for a few seconds. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Maybe my expectations were a little too high."

"No, no, it was me. Through you, I- the block of ice surrounding my heart started chipping more and more and I was scared that I still would feel upset about my brother and Elena because I never dealt with it, I didn't talk to anyone about it, I just turned it off. I was scared that if I were to let more emotions in, I would get depressed, which I ended up being but not because of them but because of my actions towards you. Then I realized that all those emotions of not caring, of happiness, nervousness, caring, they only applied to you. When you weren't around I didn't give a shit about anything but the moment I would see you, I would care. I could feel sad, or angry, or happy because you were my tether to the real world. You are my world."

She smiled watching his eyes. "Stefan?"

"Hm?"

"Put a baby in me."

He chuckled but lifted her in his arms, taking them back to his bedroom.

Caroline looked through the different arrangements of flowers wanting to buy one for Elena. Since Stefan told her of her master plan by not speaking to her anymore to get herself to go insane, Caroline has learned to move on from it but she still has to put on a rouse by acting as if her silence is really eating her up inside. She really does wish that they could be friends again but understands that she needs time and space (even though she's still sleeping with and talking to Damon), so that's what she's going to give her. Time and space. And flowers.

Caroline paid for the bouquet then walked out of the store, deciding to walk to the Salvatore mansion. When she arrived, she couldn't stop the chill running down her spine but she sucked it up and knocked, causing the door to push open. She narrowed her eyes and walked in. "Elena?" She called out and just decided to head upstairs hearing no response.

The second she reached the top of the stairs, she froze seeing the woman she just called out for pulling a suitcase behind her. She couldn't be moving out could she? Maybe she was wrong, maybe she isn't talking to or sleeping with Damon anymore. Her plan of only acting to be affected was turning real by the second. "Where are you going?"

Elena let out a breath then started walking again. "On a trip, away from here so I can clear my head." She picked her suitcase up to carry it down the stairs.

Caroline followed beside her. "I uh, I got these for you. I know they're your favorite ever since Stef— anyway, uh, I hope this trip does you good."

"Thanks."

They walked to her car in silence but as Elena opened the driver's door, Caroline spoke up. "I really am so sorry about everything. I never wanted to hurt you but I did and I'm sorry."

Elena watched her eyes before getting in her car and shortly drove away. Caroline let out a deep breath then grabbed her phone hearing it ring. She saw it was from Thomas and immediately grew worried that something was wrong with Bonnie. "Hello?"

"Hey, sorry for calling, but have you heard from Bonnie? I tried calling her but she's not picking up. Or answering my texts. I don't want to get worried but,"

"I haven't but I'll ask around, see if someone's seen her anywhere. Typically when she goes somewhere she posts about it so we know she's okay, did you check her Instagram and stuff?"

"Yeah, nothing."

"Okay, don't worry, I'll call you when I figure it out."

"Okay, thanks."

"Mhm," Caroline hung up then tried calling her friend and it rang until it went to voicemail so she left one. "Call me back, it's an emergency and you know I'm not lying since I'm actually leaving you a voicemail." She sighed then check on Instagram just to double-check. Sometimes when you're looking for something a little too hard it's easy to overlook things. Her eyebrow raised seeing that Bonnie did post a story and she wonders if it was just now posted since Thomas said he already checked. She clicked on it expecting to see the mountains or some form of nature but her eyes widen to see who's she's ninety-nine percent sure to be Stefan Salvatore. And by the looks of it, they're in his cabin in the woods.

Bonnie threw her head back as her hips moved into him and moaned his name. She didn't realize how much she's missed his feel, his love, his di— she shifted her eyes to the left seeing Thomas calling again and she started to feel bad but then Stefan turned her on her back and pinned her arms above her head. She spreads her legs wider as his hips move faster within her and her sounds grow louder until she comes. Her eyes fall closed as he continues then stiffens inside her.

"Fuck," he rolls to his back breathing deeply. "you wanna return it?"

She narrowed her eyes then turned her head towards him. "Return what?"

"The call."

"Oh. No."

"Well then,"

She smiled as he moved on top of her and circled her arms around his neck as he kissed her then bit his lower lip feeling his hand massaging her lower lips. He growled as her breath hitches as he entered three fingers without one or two warnings and he kissed along her neck. Her hips moved with his fingers feeling a high she hasn't felt in a while. As if her body was floating and— her phone rings again and she moved her head over and strains her eyes to see that it was probably Caroline calling her this time. She rolls her eyes and tries to focus on Stefan again but it dings signaling that she left a voicemail.

"Want me to stop?" Stefan asked noticing her major mood change.

"Sorry,"

"It's fine," he removed his fingers as she sat up and reached for her phone seeing that it was indeed Caroline, and listened to her voicemail. She called her afterward wondering with the big emergency was. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"I'm outside."

"What?"

"I said I'm outside."

Bonnie looked over at Stefan who was cleaning his fingers with his tongue and she couldn't stop herself from being turned on even with the current situation ahead. So she hangs up and straddles his lap and kisses his mouth deeply. The knocks happen again but louder this time causing Stefan to move away. "Who the fuck is that?"

"It's Caroline."

"What?"

Bonnie sighed then got dressed before walking to the door opening it. Caroline stepped in then took one look at her friend. "You blocked Thomas on Instagram, didn't you?"

"Just from him looking at my stories."

"Bonnie."

"What, I- I don't really want to talk about this right now. Stefan's here."

"No shit, you reek of Stefan sex."

"Hello, Caroline." He leaned against a wall.

"Stefan. I came to capture my friend who isn't single by the way."

"She's a grown woman, able to make her own choices."

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever, I'm taking her. Say goodbye, Bonnie."

She rolled her eyes. "I have to get my things," she walked back into the room and Stefan followed.

"You're really leaving me?"

She stood on her toes, connecting their lips, and kissed him deeply as his hands traveled along her body. He moaned kissing her back multiple times until she pulled away. "I'll see you later." She went to grab her phone.

He pulled her into his arms. "I'll text you. I want to see you tonight." He kissed along her neck making her bite down on her bottom lip.

"I'll try my best." She met their lips. "I love you."

"I love you more, baby." He kissed her twice before letting her go.

"Grab my ass."

His lips curved, doing as told as her hand moved around his neck. "Tell me again."

"I love you more, baby." He looked into her eyes.

"Bonnie Sheila Bennett!"

She slowly moved her hands away and walked past him as he watched her ass.

Caroline narrowed her eyes at her friend but grabbed her arm as they walked out. "You're leaving your car here so you can't sneak off to see Stefan."

Bonnie sighed but got into her friend's car thinking that she could always just order a Lyft. She looked down at her phone seeing a text from Stefan. I'll come to get you. She smiled but made her face straight as Caroline got in. She looked over at her friend as she drove in silence and she was going to speak but decided to have her friend have the first word. Caroline drove them to her house and led them upstairs to her room.

Bonnie narrowed her eyes as Caroline watched hers and she was suddenly getting tired of the silence. "So…"

"So… You wanna tell me why you ditch Thomas to spend the day in the woods with Stefan?"

"I didn't ditch Thomas, Stefan and I planned to meet up and talk the day of the party."

"Sure, but you didn't tell Thomas where you were going."

"What is this, some type of investigation?"

She sighed. "Look, I'm all here for you and Stefan especially since he has his emotions on, but you're dating Thomas,"

"He never asked me to be his girlfriend and I never asked to be. He and I were never exclusive."

"But if he did that to you then how would you feel?"

"Hurt but then I'd realize that we weren't exclusive so technically I have nothing to be hurt about."

"But he cares so much about you. He called me and asked me where you were because he was worried about you."

"And I care about him too but I love Stefan. I thought him without his emotions was what I wanted but with his emotions, he treats me with so much care and he touches me to please me and our sex is hotter because he satisfies my every need. With Thomas it's- it's just different. I really got with him just to take my mind off of Stefan but it never fully worked. I was happy with him but Stefan still had my heart."

Caroline let out a breath through her nose. "Okay. But you need to tell him. It's not fair."

"You're right, I'll tell him." She took out her phone and called him.

Damon drove to his brother's after not being able to take all the silence at the boardinghouse. He fully expected to walk in on a sex marathon but he needed help— scratch that, he was owed help. He knocked just to be polite and was caught off guard seeing his brother fully dressed. Stefan watched his brother oddly as he watched him oddly. "Anything you want or are you just here to stare at me."

"Where's Bonnie?"

"Caroline came and took her like thirty minutes ago. Why?"

"I was just expecting her to be here but leave it to Caroline to fuck things up."

Stefan let out a breath then welcomed his brother inside. "So how are things with Elena?"

"She left."

"What do you mean she left?"

"She told me that she needed some time to think things over so she left. Said that she'll be gone for a few weeks to a month."

"Damn."

"What do you think I should do?"

"Leave her alone, let her have her space."

"You would say that wouldn't you."

"Look, Damon, Elena is the type of woman that loves to do things alone or her own way. You tell her to do X, she does Y."

"So what are you saying?"

"I'm saying just leave her alone or you'll risk pushing her further away. Let her deal with this her way and I'm sure you'll get her back."

"I guess. Now I just have to keep myself from tracking her down. Can I stay with you?"

"I would say yes, but I have a witch I need to attend."

"Of course you get all you've ever wanted."

"Maybe it's because I didn't sleep with Caroline."

Damon rolled his eyes. "Wait, isn't Witchy seeing someone?"

"Possibly but I think she's going to dump him. She says she loves me."

"Just at least let me crash here for the night. I'm sure you can go one more night without her."

She sighed. "Fine. Caroline is probably holding her up anyway." He texted Bonnie letting her know about tonight and hoped she would understand.
