Hi everyone, here is the third chapter of my series I just want to thank everyone for the positive feedback that I've received and to also respond to some of the reviews.
IIlaj SHejn: No, I haven't played Orario Rhapsodia, I only know a few characters from it but I don't know enough about them to use them in the story.
Cobalt Conrad: Thank you for your suggestions they really helped to give me ideas as to what I want to do with Lucifer.
Well that's it for now I hope you all enjoy my dumb fanfic, and hopefully enjoy it for more chapters to come.
When Lucifer and Bell walked into the guild headquarters it was bustling with people, adventures, guild workers, and those who wished to issue quests. Due to it being so busy the pair had to wait in line to speak to Bells advisor speaking of which, "Bell?" "Yes, Lucifer-sama?" The boy responded, "I thought advisors were only appointed to adventurers?"
"Oh, well the truth is I already registered as an adventurer, but Eina-san, that's her name, said I should find a familia before I enter the dungeon."
"That makes sense."
Still standing in line Bell asks Lucifer a question "Lucifer-sama, how are you going to tell the guild about who you really are?" Lucifer thought for a moment "Well I did want to keep my presence in Orario a secret a bit longer, but I suppose there's no way around it." "Oh ok." When it was finally their turn Bell began talking to a half-elf, "Hello Eina-san, I joined a familia like you said." Bell said cheerfully. "Oh that's wonderful." she responded sweetly, "Which familia did you join?" Bell could only stare blankly at her before he broke into a cold sweat and started stammering, "Well, um th-the thing is that, um well you see…"
"Well this is going nowhere." Lucifer interjected "Hello I'm the one whose familia Bell has joined, it's nice meet you Ms-?" he said extending his hand.
"Eina, Eina Tulle." she said taking his hand.
"Nice to meet you Ms. Tulle, I'm Lucifer." He said with a smile.
The two stared at each for a second a second, "Bell if this is some sort of joke it isn't funny." she said turning to the boy. "I'm afraid it isn't." Bell responded nervously, Eina nodded her head and turned back towards Lucifer still smiling, she took a moment to breath in before "LUCIFER, AS IN THE GREAT DEVIL LUCIFER?!" Her yelling had caused the bustling of the guild to stop and caused more than a few heads to turn towards the source of the yelling. "Yeah, that's me." Lucifer responded to a still shocked Eina, while Bell was red as ever.
"Did she say Lucifer?"
"Yeah I think she did."
"C'mon, you can't tell me you think that guys the devil."
"Yeah wasn't he condemned to rule over hell by the gods?"
Whispers had began to circulate around the guild and the whispers became rumors outside of it. One such rumor had made it's way to a certain silver-haired goddess, "Lucifer?" the name had taken her by surprise that she had stopped mid sip from her glass of wine. "Yes, my Lady." a servant responded. "It may be nothing but continue looking into it." "Yes, my Lady." the servant turned and left, leaving the goddess. "If something does turn up from this I will have you my little angel." she said with a small smile and continued to drink from her glass.
Back at the guild Lucifer's presence was causing quite the uproar, so Eina, Lucifer, and Bell moved to a private room to continue speaking. "Bell, what were you thinking?" Eina asked in a panic "What do you mean?"
"JOINING HIM!" she screeched whilst pointing at Lucifer.
"If I may, but what are you so worried about Ms. Tulle?" Lucifer asked.
"I'm worried because the Devil himself is standing in front of me, someone who is known to be the most evil being there is!" and at that comment Lucifer released a small amount of his demonic power, knocking both Bell and Eina down to the floor, the room was now filled with a dark red glow with Lucifer being the source of it, "So you think I'm evil?" he spoke as he was walking towards Eina, "So does the rest of the world." he was now standing over Eina, who could only look up at him with fear in her eyes, "Yes, I punished evil, took pleasure in it even." he said reaching out his hand towards her, seeing this Eina flinched and looked away when she did, she felt his demonic presence disappear, looking back she saw him holding out his hand to help her back help, "But I am not evil." he said. She took his hand and he helped her stand up, "Sorry about that, I lost my temper." Lucifer said as he walked over to Bell, who looked as if he was on the verge of passing out, "No it's my fault as a guild employee I cannot let my feelings get in the way of my work, I'm sorry." she said while giving a slight bow, Lucifer simply looked at her and smiled saying "It's fine, of course I would like to continue where we left off before." "Of course." Eina responded
"Okay, all that's left is for you to register your familia with the guild." A few hours had passed since Lucifer and Bell had entered the guild, during that time Eina updated Bells adventurer sheet stating that he was in the Lucifer familia, and gave him a few lessons on the first three floors after which Bell bought an adventurers starter kit and excitedly run off to the dungeon leaving Lucifer behind with more paper work to take care of, "Just sign there and we'll be done." Eina spoke cheerfully, Lucifer could only give an exhausted smile, "Well seeing as how we're done, I'll be taking my leave then." Eina nodded as Lucifer stood up to turn and leave, as he was about to exit the guild he was stopped by a few guild workers, when he turned to look at Eina who looked just as confused, Lucifer was about to ask what was going on, when quite the stout elf, who introduced himself as Royman Mardeel stepped forward and spoke, "I'm sorry Lucifer-sama, but someone wishes to speak with you." Lucifer's interest was piqued and he agreed, he was led to the back of the guild, down a flight of stairs, and through a long hallway when they reached a large set of doors, "He wishes to speak to you alone." Royman said before turning to leave, Lucifer stood there for a moment before entering, when he entered he was greeted with a dark room and at the center was a man sitting upon a throne of sorts, "Hello Lucifer." He spoke, Lucifer remained silent before speaking, "Hey Ouranos, it's been awhile hasn't it?"
"Why have you left hell?" he asked "Same reason as you gods, I was bored." Lucifer spoke plainly, "You were put in that position-" "Correction, I was FORCED into that position." Lucifer interrupted, Ouranos let out a small sigh, "Lucifer, you were needed there, without you the underworld itself could fall apart, do you know what could happen if it does?"
"Don't know, don't care, and besides I left someone in charge."
"Hades?" Ouranos questioned, Lucifer gave him a small shrug, "Does he know this?" Ouranos, sounding annoyed.
"Think of it as a farewell gift." he said with a small smirk.
"When will you be returning?"
"How does the week after never sound to you."
"You were once one of heavens brightest angels what happened to you?"
"What happened was that I waged a war, lost, and suffered the consequences, happy? Now if you don't mind I'm leaving." When Lucifer turned to leave, a sense a realization came over him "Your afraid of me aren't you?"
"What makes you say that?"
"Because I didn't need to seal away my arcanum to come here."
"Yes." Ouranos simply responded. "Benefits of having a pair wings I suppose." Lucifer stated, "Look I know my earlier stunt doesn't put your mind at ease, but I have no interest in taking over or destroying Orario, I'm growing quite fond of this city." Ouranos let out a small sigh, "Very well, you may leave." Lucifer nodded and left, he made his way back to the front of the guild, waving goodbye to Eina, and exiting the guild. As he left the guild he had one thought on his mind, 'I'm hungry, I haven't eaten since this morning' "I suppose I can head to that food stand again." He said to himself starting his walk.
When Lucifer had left the room Ouranos called out, "Fels." "Yes, Lord Ouranos?" said a ghostly figure as it stepped out of the shadows. "For now keep an eye on him and his familia." "Very well." spoke Fels.
Wow that was quite a bit, ok I have some stuff to say, you can expect chapters to come out less frequently as I'll be trying to write longer chapters, the next chapter will begin around the same time as the actual series, next I'll be trying to figure out what I want to do with this series as I have introduced a few plot elements in this chapter.
