The end in the beginning ch.15

Kenji POV

When I left my daughters room that night, I knew I left things worse between us. I hated that things had become so strained between us. Yes, part of it was her fault for keeping this lie from us for so long, but the other half was my own fault for my stubbornness and to be honest my pride as a father. For the last twenty years I have loved Ikuko and we have two wonderful children from that love.

I simply wanted to keep protecting my kids as any good father would. I watched them both grow over the years and have even had rumors about me with a shot gun out there as a means to protect my daughter from suitors that weren't good enough. She needed to finish school first then mature with a job then I could see her having a boyfriend…I just needed time to allow my heart to accept that she was growing up at that rate.

To be able to let go and see her as a strong young woman and not just the child I raised. Hell, I know Ikuko would be excited to have grandkids. When the time was right for Usagi I could see it to. I could see her with a few kids and being a happy pre-school teacher. I could see all of that, hell I was even starting to like having Mamoru around and that was a big task for me to work with since he's older than her.

Yet I could see that he does love her and that their relationship matured her. She became more willful and her spirit only strengthened with him and her friends around. Its one of the reasons why I saw her friends as daughters to me to. They were…-are good young ladies who work hard in school and their own pursuits for the passion in life. I've had Makoto's food plenty of times, Usagi isn't wrong she's good at what she does.

Shoot when Mamoru was telling Shingo how badly some of those stupid stunts could go wrong, I was happy. I was thinking 'finally, someone can get through to my son' on a level that I knew as a father I couldn't reach. I hated that I couldn't reach him on it, yet I knew that there are certain things that teenagers will go to a family friend more to than a parent on. As parents its not a fault to us rather its us needing to accept and understand that while we don't have all the answers, even in the cases where we do, they need to hear it from someone else.

They need to hear it from someone who's seen it. Been through it. Mamoru for his time at the hospital has seen a lot so I was glad for his conversation with Shingo. I was actually starting to like the guy and even though I was still skeptical about his involvement with my daughter I was seeing the man she saw in him. I was starting to see why she fell for him and was preparing to accept him into our family one day.

Yet none of that happened. Not a single plan I had for her happened as I hoped it would. She's still in high school, has a job fine, and has a boyfriend which fine I'll deal with that since he's not some jerk and actually treats her right, but the senshi part…it's a lot to take in. to know that she willingly lied to us all this time out of a sense of what? Protection? I am the one who's supposed to protect my family…not my own daughter.

Not my first born. It's my responsibility to protect her, Shingo, Ikuko. When that monster came after us in the restaurant, I felt my protectiveness as a father and husband well up. I was looking for the quickest way out, yet I knew that when Usagi came out from the back that something was in her eyes that I had never seen before. A determination to help no matter the cost to herself and she moved around like I'd never seen before.

I was both amazed by her abilities as well as wanting to scold her for gaining the monsters attention. I feared for her life…that is until she transformed. When she did that my fears of her dying melted into a new fear. One bore from a father to his children. One that said, 'you're the child I'm the parent, I protect you, not the other way around'. The fear simply was 'you're putting yourself in danger on purpose'.

I knew once she transformed that all those fights beforehand, the blood on her clothes that she didn't realize was there, that all the times when things would go bad in the world and she was out there, I knew she was I the middle of it all. To be honest I was torn between being prideful that my daughter handled herself so well and beyond upset that she was out there risking her life for people she didn't even know.

So yes, on one hand it was incredibly commendable of what she was doing but at the same time, as a parent it was hard to accept that she was going out there and risking her life for others. I mean don't I still have a duty as her father to keep her safe? How am I supposed to keep her safe now? This new enemy wants to target my daughter for some reason, and I can't do anything about it, it bothers me and angers me a great deal.

I feel helpless in a sense and no parent wants to feel helpless regarding protecting their kids, this becomes especially true when I go into work the next day. I suddenly feel like I have most of the eyes on me as I make my way to my desk. I literally clock in when I get called into our boss's office. I don't have any current assignments that are pending for anything serious right now, so I don't know why I am unless it has to do with my daughter.

I sincerely hope it's not, but I won't find out till I speak with my boss. I get up from my desk and ignore all the strange looks I'm getting as I knock on our boss's door. "Come in." he greets me as I walk in, though I do decide to keep my distance. Our boss isn't one for being too personable as he usually is just a businessman. "Sir." I greet him as he says, "Close the door." I turn slightly to shut the door as I hope that I'm not in trouble for anything.

I can't think of a reason anyways. My editor's office isn't really big and feels even smaller when you couple that with the anxiety that beginning to build up within me. "So, it appears as if your daughter is the well-known heroine of this city, sailor moon." I sighed, my anxiety slightly dropping now that I know what this is about. I just hoped that this wasn't going to go in the direct I had a feeling it was going to go into.

Plus, he beginning to look at me as if I had kept this from him. Though to be honest, even if I knew I definitely would have kept this from him as well as anyone else in the office. It was too important not to. Not to mention that while I had developed friends here that knew me and my family from holiday parties, I wasn't close enough to divulge that particular secret. This only reminds me that I may have been feeling too harshly against Usagi when she was simply doing the same thing herself.

Her efforts were to protect us and perhaps I let my parental feelings cloud my judgement of her actions in this. "Listen, sir…I'll tell you the same thing I told the cops, I didn't know." I tell him in all honesty. His smile confuses me, "Your funny…because I don't believe that for a second." Before I can feel upset by his accusations when I honestly had no real idea he adds on, "As an editor in chief you should have seen that coming."

I go to try to say something only to realize that perhaps the reason why I didn't see it coming was due to all my late nights and evenings spent at my job. Did my own need for a successful promotion, one that I landed of course come during the time when Usagi gained this knowledge herself. I think about the timeline and realize that during all those mysterious events she was out there fighting evil.

I missed so much of it because I was to busy at work. She hid it well because I was head long into my work. I suddenly felt like a bit of a failure as a father. Maybe if I'd seen this coming, I could have stopped her from taking on this gargantuan responsibility. I'm unable to dwell in my thoughts much longer as my boss says, "However, I can forgive that professional blunder of yours on one condition."

I already have a feeling on what he wants, the Cheshire grin on his face is a bit of a tell all to what he has planned, and I already know I'm NOT going to like it, "Get an exclusive on your daughter and the other senshi." I don't think I've ever been able to control or prevent my eyes from bugging out before yet somehow right now as my boss gives me this seemingly ultimatum, I prevent myself from acting as outraged as I feel.

Only my professional demeanor prevents me from this, "You can obviously be in control of what content is published, then once I go over it myself, we can then be the only leading paper out there that has the most there is to know about the senshi." His face is that of someone who has the goose that laid the golden eye and someone in a sense he's absolutely correct. It's the grin that makes me want to deck my own boss.

To want to exploit my own daughter and her friends for a financial profit makes me sick. My fatherly instincts of what I can and can't do to protect my daughter…daughters come back into full swing. This I can protect her from. At least this I can do something about and not be stuck on the side lines for. I listen to him as he keeps going, off in his own little world about how he thinks this will go for him.

He's in near glee as he leans back into his leather seat and smirks, "We'll be top rated. It could really do a lot to further your career here." He thinks he has me, yet this only makes me want to fight harder for them all. Especially after all they've done for us. Finally, I can protect my daughter and her friends again. Rejuvenated I tell him, "Sorry sir but I will have to decline and ask that nothing be printed regarding her." He arches a brow at my words.

"Nothing with her name or anything like it. I don't wish to subject my daughter or the rest of my family, let alone the rest of the senshi to what's going on." I feel confident in my professionalism and in the fact I'm just glad that I didn't act out as I wanted to. I know my boss can be a bit of an idealist, but this is definitely too far. I'm sure and hopeful that he'll see how bad this could get for us all.

Well at least personally. I watch his smile drop from his face, "I don't think you know what your giving up here." He tells me as he politely begins to advise me, almost as if he were a parent trying to NOT sound like he was reprimanding a child. It was a little unnerving. "Your daughter is a news sensation." He gets up from his seat as he walks around to the other end of his desk as sits on it in front of me.

It now feels like a power move. I've seen it before on others I've interviewed beforehand on. His body language is easily telling me that he's in charge and I'm nowhere near in charge. "Has been for a while now. She's bigger than when Princess D was here years back. You've got two choice's Kenji…either make it happen or you might just end up back where you started here." The threat was clear as he smiled a fake one.

Any feelings of class I had towards him went out the window as he got up to sit right back down in his seat, "Remember, there's always another reporter here who WILL do the job I ask of them regardless of your being here. Might want to think about that." The thinly veiled threat was precise as I knew how good my fellow co-workers were and uncovering things or getting to the bottom of whatever they were tasked with, so I did my best to not snap at him and walked out of the office knowing I had an important decision to make.

Usagi POV

After I wake up from the barely there sleep, I had gotten from talking with my dad I message the girls that I wanted to meet them at the temple that night. I decide to spend the day with mother and try to see how's she's doing with all of this. It takes some time but thanks to our previous talk it's easier to communicate with her. I know it'll be harder with Shingo since he's got his own pre-teen drama to deal with to, but I have hope.

Once the day flew by, thanks in part to baking cookies and some other treats, the evening rolled around with ease. Dad had yet to come home and merely messaged mom that he'd be at the office late. I couldn't help but wonder if he was avoiding me. Just because a parent loves you doesn't mean they approve of what you do or want to be around it. Having the house nearly surrounded didn't help matters either.

When I was up in my room, he came home but by the time I got downstairs to talk with him he was already holed up in his study. Mother gave me a 'give him some time' expression before I sullenly went back up to my room. I wanted to be there for dad, but it seemed for now I had to work this out without him. Soon enough midnight rolled around, and I was to wired to even feel tired, so I jumped out and left my parents place to the temple.

I needed the run anyways. The cool air felt like a brush of freshness on me as I relished in it as I never had before. Once I made it to the temple, I already saw Rei there and Ami. I could tell the rest of the girls were inside, so I let Rei lead me in as I saw all the girls. The outers to. "I knew this continued presence would happen." Haruka was the first to speak. I knew she meant the media footage being done on me.

It would only be a matter of time before all of us were exposed if we didn't wrangle things in. I knew that as much as anyone. "Listen if you need a scape goat then don't blame them it's my fault. I'm the one who messed up and transformed in a public venue." I tell her, prepared to take the heat for this. It was my fault after all. That's when Haruka winced and sighed making me wonder what we were missing.

"It's actually not…not completely." It shocked me and the others as well. Haruka was pretty stickler for faults and who was responsible for what so for her to say it wasn't made me wonder what else she knew. "You were forced into a situation by a real cunning bitch." Her voice was laced with venom towards the end. Almost as if she knew her. I couldn't help but wonder how if she did as Rei asks, "You know the mystery princess?"

The laugh that Haruka lets out is like she's saying, 'how absurd!' without saying it. "Well, we know OF her but we've never spent more than a few minutes in the same room as her." This is definitely a shock to us as none of us recall her at all. Mamoru barely recalled her from the very select few times he had to deal with her presence and her father's to so to know that they met her was something big in my book.

"Anything else was through only through hearing Queen Serenity talking to the Queen of earth about her. I didn't connect the dots earlier since we only met her once during the silver millennium." I nod understanding that as it would be difficult to recall someone you only met once in your life and it had been a THOUSAND years ago that you had met them, so I conceded that she wouldn't initially recall her.

"It was right before the prince proposed, we were sent down…" she indicates between herself and Michiru who held her head up a little bit higher. At this point Mamoru dropped in, giving me a short kiss as Haruka quips, "Your late." He nods, "Looks like you were in the middle of a conversation." He says trying to get the conversation back on track. She ignores this but does in fact tell us more.

"Anyways we were sent down to assure the royals on earth that even the outer solar system planets were in league with the silver alliance and were welcoming the earth as part of the group. She and her father were there. They were a tiresome two that's for sure." I could see the clear distain she held for her and her father and at this point I couldn't blame them. Not after my own encounter with her so far.

Makoto speaks up next, "What did they do?" she looks towards her then to us, "I'll get to that in a second, what's important is her back round, or what we remember at least." We all nod knowing we need this information, "But not here, I'll show you guys you'll need to transform though. We're going on a small trip." To that end knowing this we all transform and use sailor teleport to the destination that outers take us all to.

It looks a lot like a large farmland. It stretches out further than what I can see in the fark right now and nearly has an eerie presence to it. That's when I look in the direction of Uranus and Neptune and see a small rock formation present. We all walk towards it and the closer we get the more oddly formed it looks. "It looks like an abandon mine." Mercury notes as we all walk inside. It smells like algae which tells me there's water present in here, yet I can smell that there's another scent that sets off warning bells in my head.

Before I can figure out what it is, I can feel Mars behind me ready to look for a torch to use for light as the further we walk in the darker it gets. I can already sense why no one comes in here, the creep factor is HIGH, the smells alone send out red alerts and I can tell the further we go in the more lost it feels like were getting. Plus, the further we go in the deeper I feel were getting, like were slowly going downhill.

We go deep inside of it and just when Mars is ready to use her powers to light it up Uranus looks back to her and Jupiter, "Try to avoid using your powers in here, especially you Mars, this place is full of methane gas, even a little spark will ignite." Now I know why that other scent made the warning bells go off in my head. "So why not de-transform?" Mars asks as we continue to walk further in.

Trying to keep together despite the darkness as Ami has her computer out to get a mapping of the place as we go inside. Uranus directs us through the right tunnels as Mercury keeps it logged into her mini computer. "Cause as senshi we can withstand the fumes more easily than as civilians." Mars realizes this and agrees. As we get further along inside, I feel like no one but us has ever been down this way.

At least not for an incredibly long ass amount of time. "Why do I get the feeling that were the first people this far down in here?" I say more than ask. "Cause…" Mars walks up and feels with her glove along the walls till she hits one that looks slightly off shaped compared to the rest, "This area is magically sealed off. I can feel it, its old magic. Very old." This only solidifies that it means were getting closer to our target.

Mars uses her own priestess powers to try to remove it. "The power is old and good…I need to channel someone to amplify my own powers so that I can take this magic down, at least long enough to have it destroyed." Jupiter goes up to her and places her hand on her shoulder as Mars uses it to send a small shockwave into it. "Its down but not for long." Mars says as she stands back. "Mercury." Uranus nods for her to use her powers.

She freezes the door as Venus used her love chain to smash into it hard enough to send it exploding. "Next time try to avoid setting off a spark. I'd rather not find out if were resistant completely to an explosion going off in a mine." Uranus's warning to Venus isn't lost as she says, "Were in aren't we." As we all step through the now decimated door, we see what looks like the remains of a small village.

Towards the back of it we see a small castle. In todays stance it looks about the size of a small mansion. We are all truly amazed by this as we marvel at how this place looks abandoned yes but preserved also. Its remarkable. I myself am stunned and intrigued. I can see the scientist in Mercury coming out as she's taking everything around her in. almost as if she were a kid in a candy store.

"This is incredible. Unprecedented even. A whole village underground and cut off from civilization. Untouched over the generations." I look over to see her touches different things, carts with hay in them, different pieces that she's both fascinated in wanting to touch them and scared to touch at them at the same in fear of what it might trigger. "You hear stories about these places…" she looks like she's marveling at all of it.

I can help but give a small smile to the scientist within her getting to see something like this and be one of the very few people to see it in who knows how long. If this were under different circumstances, I could see her trying to take pictures and all yet this was not that case. "Very few researchers and archeological diggers even get close to finding hidden treasures like this. This is rare indeed."

"This is pretty incredible." Jupiter admits while Mars seems to be feeling for energies still and looking amazed herself at the discovery we've made, "Remarkable." She mutters unable to help herself. This discovery is a part of the history of earth and while we've been to kingdoms before this one is the one of where our newest enemy came from. There's so much to learn about her here its unmistakable.

"The sheer volume of treasures that can be discovered down in here are so vast. I could spend days just looking all over everything and cataloging all of it. I mean some of these artifacts look older than the scrolls from Egypt. Trying to date it would be difficult but highly rewarding." Mercury notices as we all notice that. "Reika would have a fun field day in here." I can't help but comment as Mercury says, "Reika would have the best time of her life investigating this place." I see how even she's getting into it.

She touches a clay pot that she looks over and nearly caresses it, "I'm stunned. I hope she and I both get a chance to really get into investigating this place. This isn't even my specialty but the rarity of a find like this is incredible." She tells us. I smile before I can no longer contain it, "How does a place like this stay off the radar for so long? How has it NOT been raided before? Surely there are other archeologists who have found harder to reach places before." I ask as Mercury gets a bit serious again.

Not like it truly left her, but she did get reasonably distracted as we all are in our shock of how this place stayed looking as if it stepped out of time. "It was the dark magic. It didn't just block it from people but made people not want to go in and go looking. Like a warding of sorts. It also seems to have placed it in an infinite loop so that nothing would fall apart." Mercury says as Jupiter asks, "Fall apart?"

Mercury looks to her, "There are many things here that shouldn't still be in their original state. The hay for example. That should have been turned to dust if not been turned to nothing at this point. Yet it's still here. No, the dark magic that blocked that door also preserved this place. Just makes one wonder one thing…" we looked to her in question as she looks to us more serious than before.

"What happened to all of the people. This city looks like it was once vibrant yet in its current state it's an ancient ghost town." This question makes us all wonder till I suggest, "Maybe something or someone drove them out." Mars glances towards me, "Something powerful and dark. Something that they feared and ran from. The walls are practically dripping with it inside." Now she looked uncomfortable.

That's when she looked towards the castle, "It seems to get stronger the closer we get to it." Now we know we have to go inside.

We all nod as I look towards the castle and wonder what treasures we could use against this princess in there. "We should go there." I suggest. We start to walk towards it only to have Mars grab my arm to stop me, "What if she's there? This is her territory; we need to be smart about this." That's when Neptune jumps in, "While true we do need to be smart about it, however, this is the last place she wants to be in." I saw how Neptune looked at the castle. Her expression was that of annoyance.

Yet it was also filled with knowledge that we needed to go in. "She's wanted to escape this place and its mundaneness the moment she saw the kingdom that Endymion lived in. It was no longer good enough for her. She wouldn't come back here unless it was a last resort. It became beneath her once she saw what he had." Mars nodded realizing this fact as we all walked towards it though I can tell that my fiery friend wants to put wards up as a defense just to be safe and I'm not opposed to it at all.

"While were walking why not give us a history lesson." Mars insists as Uranus smirks briefly before starting, "Apparently the princess of this land that she came from was known for its involvement in the dark arts." We all take this in as Mercury follows it with, "Makes sense since the entrance was covered by it." Uranus agrees as she continues, "She was born into royalty from there as you can see and knew only wealth."

We approached the steps of the now looking even bigger castle as Jupiter, Mars and Venus used their powers and strength to open the wide large doors, showing us a rather large foyer. An entry level for guests. Cobwebs were all over yet there didn't seem to be any living thing here. I looked over to Mars and saw her glancing my way. She felt no signs of life. Her powers as a priestess did come in handy at times.

"Her father was an arrogant ass of a man who felt he was superior in every way. Not sure if that was something he felt naturally or something he was taught to believe. No one really knew as his parentage is unknown. In any case, he taught his daughter to be the same way. So, when she set her sights on the prince…" Uranus looks and gestures to Tuxedo Mask who merely looks to her, "She felt she would be a perfect match." He couldn't help but to role his eyes at this unknown princesses' assumptions.

"Obviously that was not the case." Uranus added, "This is the part that's necessary to this little story, a rumor spread out from here that they, the daughter and her father, were the ones that called Queen Metallia to earth from the sun when Queen Serenity came to earth as she offered the earths king and Queen peace in the form of becoming a part of the silver alliance." This catches all of our attention as we stop looking around.

Even Luna and Artemis looked shocked by this new information, "This region however, which had pull from other villages nearby which are gone now as you can see…" I did notice that as this village was all by itself. I began to wonder now if the people ran or were decimated by the power that came through here. "They rejected the ideals that Queen Serenity had for peace favoring the father's want for wealth and power as it would gain them the same thing as they saw it." Venus looked towards her.

"Are you telling me that having wealth over peace was all it took to get these people to do what I think your going to tell us they did?" Uranus nodded as Venus looked angered. When she looked to us all I had a feeling I knew exactly what Uranus would say next, "So they called for a great source of power to come help them get rid of her to so that they could use her power and take the silver crystal for themselves."

Once the words are out of her mouth, I can't help but feel a wave of nausea hit me. The war that followed once Queen Metalia gave Beryl power…the lives that were lost. I turned a more hardened gaze towards Uranus and Neptune, "So when Beryl came around, it was all because of this princess who brought Queen Metalia to earth?" though it was less of a question and more of myself that needed confirmation on what happened.

It had never occurred to me that Metalia was summoned here. We all thought that she woke up and found her way to earth and turned Beryl when she caught her at a moment of jealous weakness. Now though…I see Uranus nod at me, "Yes, sort of…" she looks back out the door as we continue to walk inside. "When Queen Metalia arrived here the people realized she was too powerful to be handled, so they left." I could see it now.

Once her arrival happened the people who knew that great evil had just made its home here regretted their decision and ran before things could get too ugly for themselves or their families, though in their cases it was a smart move to leave. A powerful being of that magnitude is way too much for any mortal human to handle. I wondered how many stayed thinking that they would get what they bargained for when reality of what actually happened was so much worse than they thought it would be.

"So, the princess and her father gathered the few people who were powerful enough in their own right to use the magic to bind her away. It required obviously more magic to seal her rather than to call her forth. So, they hide her away in a cave that they felt no one would dare enter." I couldn't help the dry chuckle that hit me as I realized how this princess is the reason why the war all that time ago happened.

Uranus ignored my dry chuckle and went on, "Well until a jealous Beryl found the cave and released her to freedom on the notion that Metalia would give her the power she desired to make the prince hers and grant her the throne she desired." I felt like destroying something in here but resisted, "Where is this cave?" my thoughts were initially to bury the princess in it, but I wasn't sure if that would work.

"We tried looking but it seems Metalia wanted to ensure that there wouldn't be a place big enough to contain her energy so to speak so when she was released, she effectively destroyed it." Neptune fills in as I feel myself getting agitated by what were learning. "By this point the princess of the lands had already been rejected by the prince and was plotting her own revenge against him for it." Tuxedo Mask stepped forward now.

"She was planning to do what exactly? Assassinate me?" Pluto spoke up again, "No, when she spoke to her father afterwards, he made it sound as if it was Serenity's fault." She motions towards me, "Right cause I'm the evil bitch not her." I snap, unable to hold that back as I'm getting more upset by this. I know the girls feel it to. We may have been reborn into this life but so many other lives were lost due to this…evil princess.

"He put the idea in her head that Endymion's rejection of her was based on you putting a 'love spell' of sorts on him. That it wasn't true love and that she needed to 'save' him from you're influence." Pluto looked to me as I felt the nausea grow stronger within me. It seems this princess was lied to because her own father couldn't see how Endymion fell in love with me over her. Though I don't think he saw it as a lie, I think her own father truly believed it as he does sound like the type to be that way.

He'd rather believe his own falsehood of lies over the truth that right in front of him. Tuxedo Mask then steps forward, his hand to my shoulder for support as he speaks, "So she was told that the only reason why I rejected her was because I was being manipulated?" Pluto nods, "Sadly yes, even her father didn't believe any man could reject his daughter." Mars huffed at hearing that, "What kind of father would think that way?"

"One who cares more about power, wealth, control and domination. His daughter was the key for him to gain that. If he convinced her of his own ideology, then she's be a perfect conduit for what was right. She was bred since birth to believe anything he told her." Neptune said as Jupiter questioned, "Still doesn't explain how a father would believe his daughter wouldn't be rejected by a suitor."

That's when Venus said, "Unless, he was so high up on his own horse that he couldn't see that his training his daughter to be identical to him was the main reason why she was rejected. He didn't want to admit he'd failed as her father in that regard. He couldn't accept her failure to gain Endymion's attention because that would mean it was a failure of what he taught his daughter. That he was wrong, and he couldn't handle that."

Uranus nodded in agreement, "So when your past self did choose Serenity over her, it enraged him that the daughter that he trained to be the princess he felt was right for you was rejected by you. It was like you rejected his ideals as your parents rejected them as well. He deemed the royal family at that point weak and not worth of your positions in the royal court." Things made more sense now.

O couldn't help but shake my head at all of this, "So really he egged her on to do all of this. He manipulated his own daughter for his personal gain." I have never before felt the need to despise a father…till now. She might have actually been a decent person if it HADNT been for him. "It would seem that way in a sense but it's not completely accurate." For a moment I was wondering if she could be redeemed but the expression on Pluto's face spoke of something else, something that suggested redemption wasn't possible.

"You see she already had narcissistic issues before she ever met the prince. From what I saw of her the few times and form seeing things through the time portal, I believe in some ways she felt she deserved better than the prince." That had us all nearly rolling our eyes at it. I could even tell Jupiter wanted to laugh at the narcissistic princess's way of thinking. "He was more of a stepping stone to what she really wanted." I knew exactly what that was to, "Power. She wanted more power and Endymion was her ticket to it." I finished.

The outers agreed with me. It's when Venus interrupts that we really begin to think, "That doesn't explain how she's here now. It's been over a thousand years." It actually is a valid question. One that I definitely want to know the answer to. "We did some digging into that as even we couldn't figure out how she was here. Turns out that this land that her father owned and essentially was in his mind's eye the king of…" we see Uranus roll her eyes at it as she puts quotation marks around 'king'.

"The ownership was passed down for a while through different people and got sold off into sections over time. This was the only section that the records on it were lost as the land was told to have been swallowed up in quake hundreds of years ago. We think that the other members of the community had access to the records during that time and forged what really happened to keep the dark magic that brought Metalia here to lie in solitude forever." I had to admit that's one way to keep a darkness at bay.

Pretend it was never there so that no one would mistakenly give her freedom again. "That would explain the residual energy I'm detecting. This place is haunted from whatever happened when they seal Metalia away and the dark energies keep it as if time stopped moving. An infinite loop." We realize now more than ever what were dealing with, but Venus's question still remains unanswered, however we have to find out more.

So, we continue to walk inside as we see the throne room. Decorated and ornate it looks nice enough but holds a stench of privilege and snootiness as far as I can sense. Its as if my own princess feelings are telling me how uppity these people were and how much different we are then her. "How are these still standing? They should be dust." Mars asks as she touches the slightly smaller throne.

"Same as the outside, I guess. The place seems to have dark energy here as a protective cover." Mercury answers, "Like if she ever needs to come back, she can." Mars suggests as Mercury agrees with her. We're all looking around more. Mercury heads off into the records room as we each take a look around to see if there's anything of use. Uranus and Neptune join Mercury as I take to following them to.

The rest take a look around to be on guard as well. Even Tuxedo Mask is beginning to see this place for what it is now. A home for death to come to. Its at least a half an hour later when Mercury comes forward with very old pieces old paper that look like their ready to become one with the earth again. "We found some of the original scripts of what was owned then the birth records and deaths." That's when Uranus pulls some papers herself out, "Let's see what we can piece together." I watch her nod as the go over it.

"Her father's death was recorded by the nearby towns people but hers wasn't. The scripts instead speak of a night where she called on the dark arts herself, desperation is said to be what drove her and made a deal to give her soul away in exchange for immortality to get even with her enemies in the next life. It appears that this happened when Beryl's armies were taking over the kingdom on earth." This is a stunned revelation to us all.

"So why not take advantage of the fall of the earth kingdom?" Venus asks, as Uranus explains, "Cause by that point Endymion had made his way to the moon to fight against the brainwashed people alongside Queen Serenity's army." Venus realizes this, "Till he was dead she wanted to have him next to her, willing or not." Neptune adds on, "We think part of her knew that the war would decimate the kingdom's preventing her from having a kingdom to rule to begin with. The dark arts that she had in her gave her visions as well from what we read up on."

That's when Jupiter voices, "So she willingly gave her soul away just to get even with Usagi for getting Mamoru's attention? In the past? What kind of bat shit crazy crap is that?" that's when Pluto adds on, "There's more. According to the research the magic that she used would keep her in hiding and asleep far from earth till her nemesis, you Usagi, were reborn so she could have her revenge. Upon her return she would have more power than she could imagine making her possibly our strongest and most worthy advisory to date."

I'm truly stunned by this, but the discussion is far from over as Mars asks, "Then how is it we haven't seen or heard of her till now?" which gets Mercury to add, "Cause depending on how far away she was it would take her years if not decades to travel back here to earth to carry out her plan." Pluto nods to this bit as she herself adds on another piece to this ever-changing puzzle that were in now.

"The one stipulation to her deal with the dark arts was that she would get one year and one year only to claim the earth throne as hers and make the earth prince her king. If she would be unable to do that the powers that she holds would be stripped from her and she would experience the worst possible death known to man. If she succeeded, then the dark arts that gave her the power would infuse the world with its essence and essentially turn this earth into nothing more than a vile wasteland."

I can't help but nearly whine this out, "Why does every villain that comes here want to turn a beautiful world into a wasteland?!" yet there's no answer cause in all those previous cases the villains were nut jobs that didn't care what happened as long as they got what they wanted and ruled. It was an endless cycle of dark stupidity that made them think that making the world into darkness was the right thig to do when there wasn't NOTHING in the darkness to survive, not even themselves…only death.

"Well in this case…" Pluto decided ignores my small outburst and continues with, "Which is why she's trying to expose Usagi here and now." That's when Mars jumps in, "Usagi will be so pulled into the media spotlight of trying to avoid people that this princess can slip in and take what she wants." Uranus agrees, "More than that, she wants people of earth now to see her for how she sees her. A villain that took everything she wanted from her." I can't help but sigh at this as I had no idea that this princess felt this way about me.

I knew that something was off with her during our meeting but this? "It's a deception trick." Venus jumps in, "Even after everything we've all done?" I ask Pluto as she tells me, "This princess has deluded herself into seeing you as the villain when she herself has and will do whatever she feels is necessary to get what she wants." I can hear Venus scoffing at the mere notion of this.

"Great so our new enemy is a mental head case. Great." I turn to her and can't help but add on, "What have our enemies NOT been mental head cases? Beryl was dripping with jealous and refused to let go. Wiseman was a sociopath and didn't care who he hurt as long as everything was enveloped in 'nothingness' even killed Diamond and Sapphire to do it. Pharaoh 90 wanted to end our world so he could live in it and even attack his strongest minion Mistress 9 when he was trying to arrive."

I would have mentioned Ann, Ail, Nehellenia and Galaxia but they were redeemed and saved, the others were not. Venus concedes to this point as Uranus steps forward, "I'm not sure if you guys understand how screwed this could all get for everyone." I look to her, "This princess want's Usagi's head on a pike, metaphorically speaking…" she amends though I have a feeling this princess would like for that to be literal to.

"She wants Mamoru as her personal play toy and she wants the kingdom of earth as hers, she's already incredibly powerful, the only thing standing in her way is all of us. What we need to do is destroy any resources she has. Find where the source of her power comes from in here, hopefully…that way we can undo the magic on her and bury her in this place." We all agree to this plan of attack.

Yet I can't help but ask, "Where would it be though? We're not talking about an object here. She called upon the power to herself so were talking about either a plea she made to call on the magic or if she used a powerful book to call it." Seeing my point, they all become curious as to how to make this happen, "Then we should look for a book that could have had the incantation to do this." Mars suggests.

Though Uranus seems to have different plans, "I don't think we're going to find anything here. If she does have it, it's going to be kept in a secret confidential location that she knows won't be found. That no one else can gain access to." I accept this as it makes the most sense. The girls soon follow suit as we start to leave out. Feeling like we've learned a lot yet were still left in the dark on how to handle this.
