Okay, that last chapter was really rough for me. So, I decided to section my work. I originally thought to just write and get to key plot points when we get there but that obviously failed miserably considering how exhausted I was. So, to make it better for my health, I've decided to make these chapters shorter. I sincerely apologize for doing this, please accept it, even though you have every right to do otherwise.
The capital was packed.
That's what Yuno thought when he came to it, luggage in hand. It was 6 months since he got his grimoire, and he was confident that he will become a magic knight. Then, afterwards, he'll become Wizard King, and make it so that poor people don't get harmed anymore. Simple.
As Yuno walked around, he tried to look for the magic knight exam sight. While doing this, he noticed a red head carrying around about eight kids. Yuno sighed, that takes me back he thought.
It has been 6 months since Asta left. To be honest, Yuno thought he was just having a hissy fit. He'd get mad, someone would come get him or maybe he'd just come back himself and everyone would just move on. Sure, losing Sister Lily was hard, but they saw plenty of people die from starvation before so Yuno got used to it. Asta should have got used to it too. Apparently, Yuno was giving everyone too much credit. Himself included.
He ditched those incredibly depressing thoughts as he got to the colosseum. However, he noticed a bounty board on the side of the street. Most bounties Yuno never heard of before. The Black Rose, The Red Riot, The Crimson Raider, Cheetah, The Desert Fool, Sir Metal, Sista Feminista, The High-Speed Devil, The Lioness, The Butcher, The Sniper, and the list goes on.
The colosseum is just like the capitol: packed. As Yuno went to the stage, he could hear people gawking over his four leaf grimoire. Of course they were, Yuno is literally luckier than they are. It's only human nature to look up to someone higher than them. Wait, what am I thinking? Why is Yuno sounding so much like a tool?
Anyways, the 9 magic knight captains came to the stage, announcing what they have to do. Part one was pretty easy for Yuno. He just had to fly a broom as high as he possibly could. He did and from the looks of things he went really high up. The highest in fact. The second test is making a sculpture out of his magic. He did it easily again. If this is all that it takes to become a magic knight then this'll be easy. I'll probably get into the Golden Dawn! Yuno excitedly thought. But then came the third test.
The third test was a combat test. Pick a partner and fight them. They'll be judged on how good they fight, not on if they win or not. I guess that makes sense. If someone had healing magic then they wouldn't be able to fight back as much as someone with metal magic. The knights would be missing out on a great healer.
Yuno started looking for a partner, when he finally found someone. He had relatively normal clothes, and blond hair.
Yuno approached him, "Hey"
The man turned, "What? Do you want to fight?"
"Yes"
After a few moments, the man laughed, "Oooohhhh, I like you! What's your name?"
"Yuno"
"Well, 'Yuno', I'm Sekke Bronzeyard, and I'll happily be your partner!"
"Ok."
After a few matches, it was Yuno's turn. Then, he got ready to fight.
"Begin" shouted the Golden Dawn captain. And with that, Yuno activated his grimoire. Sekke did the same.
Sekke then surrounds himself in what appears to be ice. It looked like a bubble, with spikes sticking out. "Behold! Your defeat is inevitable, as my bronze magic is impenetrable! You might as well give up, since any magic that you use against this will be bounced right off!"
"It doesn't look like bronze" Yuno stated, "It looks like ice"
"Why you…" Sekke growled. How dare this brat say something that is so clearly untrue! I suppose I must teach this boy a lesson. Not like he can do anything about it.
Then, Yuno used one of his favorite spells. "Weind Magic: Towering Tornado"
"You must be an idiot! I just said your spells will just hit you instead. Besides, it isn't even coming out!" Sekke shouted in laughter.
"You might want to look behind you," Yuno said.
Sekke stopped with a questioning look, and then a terrified look. There was a tornado inside his bubble? How is that possible? Before Sekke could answer however, the tornado engulfed him, and Yuno just won.

As the test reached its conclusion, Yuno felt confident that he would get into the Golden Dawn. He has a four leaf clover, took down his opponent in one spell, and flew his broom higher than anyone in the test. So, when it was his turn to come up, he wasn't surprised in the slightest when all of the captains raised their hands for him.
"It would be an honor to join the Golden Dawn!"
And with that, Yuno is now a magic knight.
Allllrighty then! I'm finally done with this chapter! Sorry for the hiatus! I was just too busy with school to squeeze in some free time. But, now that I'm in this limbo period where I'm just doing busy work, I figured that I could finally get back into this fic! AS a side note, those bounties are actually all references! Try to find them all! Some are really easy *cough* Red Riot *cough*. Some are easy if you've seen the show before, and some are kinda hard but will still be somewhat easy if you've seen it. Except for one reference. If you get that reference, then I'll give you a shout out. You'll also get a shout out if you got all of them and listed where they are from. Happy Hunting!
