Chapter 7
I left Izzy with Letty and walked back into the main area of the clubhouse to return the first-aid kit.
"Thank you, sweetheart," Bishop said, as I handed it over to him, "is she ok?"
"Not really," I replied, "she's sleeping at the moment. Izzy is with her."
"Thanks for taking care of her," Bishop smiled at me. I nodded.
"No problem. That's what family does, right?" I asked and he nodded.
"Speaking of family, I got word from Happy earlier. He should be down in the next few days," he told me.
"Oh wow, ok," I responded, feeling suddenly nervous. I felt a protective hand on my back and I didn't need to turn around to know it was Angel. Bishop looked at the two of us, nodding once before walking over to Hank.
"Can we talk?" Angel asked quietly and I nodded, allowing him to lead me outside, away from listening ears. He stopped by the steps, sitting down. I allowed him to pull me onto his lap.
"I'm sorry if Adelita scared you this morning," he said and I snorted.
"She didn't," I told him bluntly.
"Then what's wrong?" He asked, sounding genuinely confused. I twisted in his arms so I could look up at him.
"Is there anything between you and Adelita?" I asked, "and please don't lie to me. I saw the way she looked at you and how she put her hand on your arm." He met my gaze steadily.
"There is absolutely nothing going on between me and Adelita," he told me. "I admire her. She's brave, standing up to Gallindo and fighting for the people that get kicked around. And before I met you, we flirted a few times. But nothing happened. She's broken chica, and even before I know you existed there was nothing between us. She's never gonna be normal…. Never gonna have a normal life. I feel sorry for that, I do. But what I want is a girl who is down for my family, my club, but also knows where the line is. Where to stop. Adelita… she's too far gone, man. She kidnaps kids for fuck sake." I opened my mouth to interrupt me but he carried on regardless.
"But I'm not into you because of anything to do with Adelita. I always thought that, living this life meant I could never have something normal, you know? It was always just gonna be late nights at Vickie's, with girls who mean nothing to me, or I was gonna end up with someone who is just as fucked up as me. But then I met you. Beautiful and kind and honestly? A little bit bad-ass when you want to be. But you're also a good person and you ain't been fucked up by this life. And I'm torn Cariño… I don't wanna fuck you up by dragging you into this. But, at the same time, I don't wanna be without you. So no, there's nothing going on between me and Adelita. There's just me, realising I've fallen the fuck for you, and not knowing whether to hold on tight or push you away before I hurt you." I could see the turmoil in his eyes as he looked at me, and all I could do was put my hands on his face and pull him to me, putting everything I felt for him into that one kiss.
"You can't push me away," I whispered against his lips as we pulled apart, "because I'm not going anywhere. You're a good man, Angel Reyes, with a good heart. A heart I've fallen for. I'm choosing this life, with you, and no matter what is thrown your way, I'll stand by you. I know you think you need to push me away from all this… but if Happy's my brother, something tells me this life is how it's going to be from now on. I'd rather spend a day in this life with you, than an eternity of life without you." Angel picked me up, pushing me against the wall of the clubhouse and kissing me with everything he had.
"I love you," he told me, when we broke apart. "It's always going to be you. Please never ever doubt that." I grinned.
"I love you too," I whispered, laughing as he picked me up and held me close, nuzzling my neck. "Now you just have to teach me that in Spanish." Then it was his turn to laugh.
"Te quiero or Te amo," he answered, sounding them out slowly for me. "They both mean I love you. One is just… deeper love than the other." He said, frowning as he tried to explain it in a way I would understand. We were sitting back on the steps now, his arm around my waist, holding me to him.
"Oh… and which one do you feel?" I asked quietly. He looked at me, his left hand cupping my face.
"Te amo, mi amor," He whispered, leaning forward and kissing me gently, taking my breath away.
"Always?" I asked and he nodded.
"Siempre," he told me, smiling.
"Siempre," I repeated back to him, earning me a grin and another kiss.
"I trust you," I told him, "and I know you have to work with Adelita and help these people. I don't want to be one of these clingy girlfriends but…"
"You're not being clingy, you're being defensive of what's yours," he told me and I looked at him, surprised. He shrugged. "I get it. I wouldn't like it if a guy was touching you. Guess it works the same way. I'll make sure she knows not to do that shit again." I nodded, happy that he understood where I was coming from. "So, we good?"
"We're more than good," I told him, smiling. "Though I might be sleeping out here on the porch tonight. Letty is in my bed." Angel laughed.
"You can come to my place," He offered, raising his eyebrows suggestively. "I share a place with Coco, but something tells me he's not gonna be back tonight." I frowned at that.
"Will he really kill his mom?" I asked and Angel sighed.
"Wouldn't you? If someone did that to your kid?" He answered, more a statement than a question.
"Shit," I whispered, shaking my head. "I'd like to see your place. But I should probably stick around in case Letty wakes. Izzy and I promised we'd be here if she needs us. Rain check?" Angel nodded.
"We'll grab a spare dorm then," he agreed easily, standing up and taking my hand naturally. I grinned.
"You're staying then?" I smiled and he rolled his eyes.
"If you're staying, I'm staying," he told me and I grinned. "I know, when did I become such a sap?"
"I kind of like it," I laughed, walking hand in hand with him back into the clubhouse.
After checking in on Letty and seeing her sound asleep, Angel and I spent the rest of the night together. After demolishing 3 pizzas with Gilly and Izzy, we decided to call it a night and headed to the spare dorm. As soon as the door closed, Angel pulled me into his arms, unzipping my dress in the process and dropping it to the floor. I giggled as he swore, taking in the sight of the new sexy lingerie I bought with Izzy and Letty earlier that day.
"See something you like?" I teased, echoing his earlier question to me the night before. My question was answered by him picking up and lowering me on to the bed, where he began kissing up my thighs as he dragged my panties down my legs. My breathing was hitched as he teased me, turning into a load moan as he devoured my core with his tongue, kissing and sucking on my clit before burying his tongue into my hole. He tongue fucked me for several minutes as I moaned under his ministrations, before he replaced his tongue with three fingers, setting up a fast rhythm as he sucked on my clit again.
"Fuck, Angel, I can't hold on," I moaned, panting before screaming in pleasure as Angel bit down on my clit gently. I came hard, with Angel lapping at my juices before turning me over to lean on all fours. I moaned again as he entered me roughly from behind, grabbing my hips and pulling me into him over and over again.
"Fuck Hope, you feel so good," he panted as he thrust into me. I moaned at how incredible it felt to be dominated in this way. He leaned over me, putting one hand gently around my neck and pulled my body up so my back was flush against him, whilst still maintaining his rhythm. I moaned loud at the new angle as he hit my sweet spot over and over again.
"Fuck, don't stop, please don't stop," I begged, and he responded by squeezing my neck, reminding me he was in control this time. He pound into me rougher than he ever had before and, within seconds, I was seeing stars as I screamed his name and came hard.
"Fuck, Hope," he groaned and, two thrusts later, he came right along with me. His hand left my throat as he pulled out, both of us panting. He immediately pulled me into his chest as we both lay there, catching our breath.
"Damn," I whispered, "that was hot." Angel chuckled next to me, stroking my cheek.
"I didn't hurt you, did I?" He asked and I smiled, shaking my head.
"I've never… done anything like that before," I admitted shyly, "but I kinda liked it."
"Kinda?" He asked, grinning cheekily and I whacked him playfully.
"Ok, I really liked it," I admitted and he smiled, kissing me passionately.
"You're mine," he said possessively, wrapping his arms around me.
"I certainly know that now," I teased, snuggling into his embrace, feeling content and sleepy.
"I want the world to know it," he whispered, as we both drifted off to sleep.

The next morning we left the dorm together, grabbing breakfast with EZ, Gilly and Izzy. I noted that Coco hadn't returned since yesterday. After breakfast, the guys headed to Templo at Bishop's request, whilst me and Izzy went to check on Letty. We found her sitting up in bed, looking stressed.
"Hey sweetie, how are you feeling?" Izzy asked her.
"We bought you some of Chucky's breakfast," I added, showing her the plate of food. She smiled at us, but didn't take it. She shifted awkwardly, looking nervous.
"Is my dad back?" she asked, and we shook our heads.
"What's wrong, Letty? Are you in pain?" I asked, seeing she was distressed. She looked nervous again, but shook her head.
"You can talk to us," Izzy said, as we both sat down at the end of the bed. Letty looked at us both, biting her lip before she nodded.
"I lied," She whispered, and I looked at her, frowning.
"What do you mean?" I asked her, and she sighed.
"Celia didn't do this to me," she confessed. "I did it to myself." Izzy and I looked at each other in shock.
"What the hell are you saying?" I asked her roughly. "Was everything you said a lie? What would you do that?"
"No, it wasn't!" She burst out. "Coco dropped me off home and gave me some cash. As soon as he left, Celia grabbed me and took it off me, telling me he was just going to leave me and I had to get my twat out into the street and earn my keep. It's not the first time. She invites guys round… sometimes they want her. Sometimes they want me. And she lets them. I couldn't take it anymore! Coco said he didn't have the room for me yet but I figured he would let me stay here, if he saw what she had done." She was crying by the time she finished, and I wasn't mad in the slightest. I pulled her into my arms and held her tight.
"Why didn't you just tell Coco the truth?" I whispered and she looked at me like I was mad.
"He was already pissed when I did porn. You know how humiliating it would be to tell him Celia sold me?" She cried and I held her again. "I just wanted her away from me. But now he's gonna kill her. He's not answering my calls or texts. Please, you have to help me." Izzy and I looked at each other, both knowing what she said was probably true, and it was likely already too late.
"Ok, here's what we do," I said, thinking fast. "Stay here with Izzy. I'm gonna talk to EZ. I'll see if I can get him to check on Coco." They both nodded, Letty thanking me as I headed out of the dorm to look for EZ. I found him out in the lot, working on one of the bikes.
"Morning, Hope, everything ok?" He asked, as I approached.
"I'm not gonna beat around the bush, EZ, I need a favour," I told him bluntly. He took one look at my serious expression and stood up.
"Ok, what's up?" He asked, wiping his hands on a rag.
"Letty lied," I told him quietly. "Celia didn't do that to her. She did it to herself."
"Jesus, fuck!" She swore, clenching his jaw in annoyance. "Why the fuck would she do that?"
"It's not her fault!" I instantly defended Letty. "If I tell you, you have to promise to keep it to yourself. Can I trust you?"
"A lot more than you can trust her," he responded bitterly, but nodded.
"Her mom has been selling her, Zeke," I told him and he swore again. "She took all the money Coco gave her and told her to get her twat out into the street because he wasn't coming back, and she wouldn't be welcome unless she paid her way."
"Jesus," he whispered and I nodded.
"You can't tell Coco. She can't bear the thought of him knowing, but she needed a way to get away from Celia. She did the only thing she knew to get out," I explained and he nodded, looking at me.
"You know he's gonna kill her, right?" EZ said, referring to Celia. I sighed.
"I have a shitty feeling he already has," I said. "Letty is a mess. I need you to find Coco, and stop him doing something stupid, if he hasn't already done it."
"Fuck," EZ exclaimed again before nodding, heading to his bike. "I'll go to his mom's place, see if he's there. Please, keep Letty here." I nodded, thanking him, and watched him leave the lot.
Walking back into the clubhouse, I joined Izzy and Letty at the bar, telling her that EZ had gone to find Coco. She smiled, thanking me, and we sat drinking coffee, waiting for the guys to finish in Templo. After about half an hour they came out of Templo, Angel and Gilly immediately coming over to me and Izzy. He kissed me, and I smiled as I watched Gilly put his arms around Izzy.
"Where's the prospect?" Bishop asked, looking around.
"He went to get some pain meds for Letty," I said quickly, covering ourselves. "We're all out."
"Shit, Chucky must've forgot to restock after Creeper got shot," Taza commented and I looked over at Creeper in surprised. He grinned, putting the collar of his t-shirt down revealing a scar there.
"Shit," I mumbled and he laughed.
"Well, we need him here for the meet later. Find Coco and your prospect," Bishop ordered Angel, who nodded and stood up to make the call. I put my arms around his neck as Bishop and Taza pulled away, making it look like I was just going to hug him, but I whispered in his ear "Ez's with Coco," and I buried my head in his neck. He squeezed me gently, letting me know he'd heard me and then leant in for a kiss. The look in his eyes told me he would be asking questions later and I nodded minutely.
Whilst Angel headed out the door to call Coco, I text EZ asking him what was going on. It had been over an hour and we had had no word from him, and Letty was getting more and more anxious. After a few more minutes, I watched as Letty quietly excused herself and walked out into the lot. Izzy and I exchanged glances and both got up and followed her. We found her in the office, asking Chucky for a ride.
"You need to stay here, hun," Izzy told her as we walked into the office. She turned to us with a scowl.
"If she dies, this is my fault," she told me, and Chucky looked between us, a worried and awkward smile on his face.
"No it isn't," I told her firmly. "She's a terrible fucking mother to you. You did what you had to do to survive." She rolled her eyes.
"I'm going to Celia's," she said stubbornly. "You said you're my friends… so are you coming?" I took a deep breath, knowing EZ and Angel were going to kill me later.
"Yeah, I'm coming," I told her, pulling my keys out of my pocket. "You're directing."
"I'm coming too," Izzy said boldly, surprising me. I looked at her confused and she shrugged. "I don't like this… whatever this is. But Letty is our friend." I nodded, walking towards the door. It was settled.
It didn't take long to get to Celia's apartment. We had to run after Letty as she bolted up the stairs, banging on the apartment door. We stood in the stair well, watching as the door finally opened, revealing EZ, not Coco.
"Hey," EZ said calmly.
"er… hey," Letty responded, looking into the apartment.
"Sorry," he apologised, walking out of the apartment, pulling the door shut behind him. "I was taking a shit."
"Ew," Letty said, whilst Izzy made a vomiting face at me in silence. I held in my grin, with a horrible feeling that EZ was doing everything he could to stop Letty going in the apartment.
"Coco wants you back at the yard," he told her.
"I thought he was here," she said, looking confused. "Why does he want me back there?"
EZ pointed to his prospect patch, smirking.
"I don't ask questions," he replied, smiling at her.
"Did you tell him? I know Hope must've told you something, otherwise why would you agree to help?" She asked.
"I didn't get a chance ," he responded, purposely avoiding her second question. "How did you get here?"
Letty stood there awkwardly and Izzy & I cringed, knowing we were about to be discovered. EZ looked around the corner, scowling when he saw us looking guilty.
"Maybe you guys spending a lot of time together isn't a good idea," he smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"Haven't you heard? We're the good influences," I joked, but he didn't laugh.
"All of you, go back to the scrapyard," He told us, looking thoroughly stressed. "I'll be right behind you!" He shared a pointed glance with me, which told me enough to know I had to get Letty out of here.
"Come on, Letty. I'm sure Coco's back at the yard now. Bish needed him at the table," I reminded her, and together we made our way back to the yard.
The guys were back in Templo when we arrived, but I pointed out Coco's bike to Letty, who smiled, looking relieved. She headed into the office, presumably to chill with Chucky until her dad was free. It was another blistering day in the Californian heat, and I heard a cheer from Izzy when she emerged from one of the storage sheds around the side of the building with two recliner chairs.
"I'm finally gonna get my tan on!" She declared, making me laugh. In five minutes we were laying out the front in bikini tops and shorts. I had to admit, it was much better than being in England, where no doubt it was raining right now. Or snowing.
We had been laying out there for a while when we heard some commotion as the guys exited Templo. Coco stormed out into the yard, with Gilly and Angel following close behind.
"What's that shit about?" Izzy asked, pulling up her sunglasses.
"I've no idea," I murmured, not liking the look of it. Coco was up in Angel's face and they seemed to be arguing about something. After a few seconds my curiosity got the better of me and I stood up, walking over. Coco spotted me when I was a couple of feet away, pointing at me.
"You don't think. You never do. You dance with Adelita your dick's going to get us into a shallow fucking grave," he spat, nodding toward me. "You better be careful before you lose that one too."
I looked at him, shocked, about to ask what we going on, when I heard Riz yelling from across the lot. I stood next to Angel as Riz squared up to him, less than three inches from his face.
"Coming to me first, that would've been the respectful play. But you had to be a bitch. Tell daddy, huh?" He taunted, but Coco spoke up.
"It wasn't just Angel," he sneered. "It was all of us."
"Yeah, we all took it to Bishop," Gilly backed them up, but Riz was still in Angel's space, looking pissed. I had had enough.
"Stop fighting!" I shouted, trying to step in between them before things got any worse. Riz put his left hand out, in an attempt to push me away, but he was stronger than I gave him credit for and he pushed me straight into the dirt.
"Don't fucking touch her, man," Angel yelled, pushing Riz 3 feet back and attempting a swing before Coco embraced him, holding him back from fighting. Gilly pulled me up, checking me over.
"I'm fine," I told him, and it was true. I didn't believe Riz wanted to hurt me, it was just the heat of the moment.
"Take it to the cage," Coco hissed in his ear, and they stood there as Riz backed off. He didn't even look at me, instead he spat at the floor by Angel's feet.
"You're all just a bunch of fucking pussies," he laugh, walking back to the clubhouse. As soon as he walked off, Angel turned to me, pulling me in.
"I'm sorry," I groaned, "I know I should've stayed out of it. I'm not good at this." All 3 guys surprised me by laughing.
"You can't hate on a girl for defending her man," Gilly teased and even Angel looked proud in a smug sort of way. I was just glad he wasn't mad.
"You know you're gonna have to kick the shit out of him, right?" Coco said to Angel, looking at Riz's retreating back.
"Yup," Angel said, his eyes darkening as his arms tightened around me. "No one touches my girl." I smiled, leaning up to kiss him.
"Well, if you're all done playing WWE, I'm gonna go back to sunbathing," I sang out, making them laugh again as they spotted mine and Izzy's little set up. They all grabbed a beer and sat down with us.
"You didn't feel like backing up your tag partner, here?" Gilly joked to Izzy, pointing to me as we all sat together. She laughed and shook her head.
"Gentlemen, one day you'll learn," she said, sliding her sunglasses back down, "Hope rarely needs backing up. She can hold her own when she needs to." I grinned at my best friend, winking at her, as we all enjoyed the afternoon in the Californian sun.
When the sun started to set, we went inside. Marcus Alvarez had shown up about an hour before, heading for the table. He was polite and very interested when Bishop introduced me as Happy's potential sister. Izzy and I entertained ourselves by cooking food for everyone, and we were just carrying it out into the clubhouse for the guys to eat once they were done, when EZ came in through the door.
He looked like shit as he showed respect to the virgin Mary statue before heading the bar, sitting himself on a stool and staring into space. I walked over to him quietly, going behind the bar so I was facing him.
"Are you ok?" I asked quietly and he just nodded. "Who are you trying to fool, EZ?" I certainly wasn't buying it.
"You're really good for Angel," he responded quietly. "I'm glad he has you." I frowned at the strange shift in conversation, but smiled at him. I could tell he wanted to be left alone, so I didn't say anything else. I raised my eyebrows in surprise when the Templo doors opened and he jumped a mile. Hank walked out first, calling EZ over and telling him that Alvarez's bike needed a new base gasket. For the first time ever, Ez stumbled over his words, seeming surprised that the bike was the reason he'd been called over. I then watched as he headed to the door, stopping to once again kiss Mary on his way out. Clearly something was up.
"That kid is walking a fine line between genius and fucking weird," Bishop commented, earning a smile from Alvarez as they joined the bar. As I was still standing behind it, I took some beers out of the chiller and popped the caps, handing them out.
"Gracias," Marcus thanked me and I smiled politely, grinning as Angel approached the bar wolf-whistling.
"Damn, the tender tonight is definitely a step up from Chucky," he said cheekily, winking and I rolled my eyes.
"Be careful, or you might be wearing your next drink," I replied, making Taza chuckle. I leaned up on the bar to give him a quick kiss before popping some more bottles for Coco and Gilly.
"Cage set up?" Bishop asked Hank, as he walked back in from outside.
"Yup," he responded, looking pointedly at Angel. "You ready to squash this shit?"
"I'm ready to settle this shit," Angel responded, and I looked between them all, confused.
"Come on, chica," Coco said, pulling me out from behind the bar. "Let's get you a front row seat."
"For what?" I asked, feeling suddenly apprehensive.
"That shit with Riz earlier. Debt's about to be paid," he explained and I felt sick. He led me outside to the cage, where people were starting to gather.
"So you're back on my team now?" I asked him, only half teasing. I was still a bit upset about his earlier comment in the day, especially after I had helped Letty. Twice. He had the grace to look a little embarrassed.
"Shit, sorry about that, Chica. Day's been fucked up, man. I didn't mean what I said," he said and I smiled, tapping him on the nose.
"We're good," I told him honestly and he smiled. "Now how worried should I be?" His smile turned into a grin.
"Angel will be fine," he said confidently. "No one will get seriously hurt. They just need to sort their shit out, so it doesn't affect the club down the line." I nodded, still feel anxious. I only felt a tiny bit better when Izzy and Letty came to sit either side of me.
Angel and Riz entered the cageand I held my breath as they started to fight. Within a couple of minutes, both of their faces were bleeding, and I was cringing in my seat. Everyone else was screaming, enjoying the show, but all I could do was wait and pray that Angel would be ok. I gasped, getting to my feet as Riz tackled Angel to the floor. They fought and, within a minute, Angel has gained the upper hand again. His fist went flying into Riz's face three times in a row before he kicked him in the ribs. Just when I thought I couldn't take any more, Hank fired his gun at the floor, signalling the end of the fight. I flew to the cage door, yanking it open as Riz and Angel embraced, their drama seemingly settled. Angel smiled when he saw me.
"I'm fine, Hermosa," he said, putting his arm around my shoulders, as I led him back to the clubhouse. "Stop worrying."
"Shut up Rocky," I responded, "I get to decide when I worry about you. Let me clean you up." I took him to our dorm room, where I spent the next few minutes cleaning his cuts and wiping the blood from his face. When I was finished, he looked a lot better, and I breathed a sigh of relief that nothing was permanently damaged.
"You know…" he said, pulling me towards him, "you make a pretty good nurse." I laughed before getting caught up in one of his soul-searing kisses. My hands trailed up his shirt, round his neck and into his hair, which I gripped gently, pulling myself closer to him. He groaned, leading us both towards the bed, never breaking the kiss. I gasped as he pushed me down onto the bed, moving from my mouth to my neck, where he nipped and sucked on my pulse point.
"We need to get back to the party," I reminded him, yet my hands went to his belt, unbuckling him and pushing his jeans down his legs.
"Then we better make it quick," he replied, pulling off my jean shorts and panties in one tug. He muffled my surprised but pleased moan with his mouth as he sheathed himself fully inside me with one thrust, before starting up a fast rhythm. I met each of his thrusts with my hips, moaning his name as he pounded me into the bed. Reaching down with his hand, he rubbed my nub, causing my back to arch in pleasure. I was close in a matter of seconds.
"Come on babe, you gotta come for me. There you go mami," he groaned as I climaxed, the same time he shot his load into me. I dragged his face to mine, kissing him passionately as he pulled out of me.
"Shit, babe, you're gonna kill me one day," he joked, panting as we both got dressed. I giggled, tucking myself into his embrace once we were decent. He kissed the top of my head before we both walked back to the party, pretending we didn't just have a quickie in under five minutes.
