Ch. 24
Raguna POV
Mist was freaking out too much about Erik and right after he left and I asked her if she liked him she bolted home yelling "I need an action Plan!" when she yelled that I turned to see if the crossing light was on and when I turned back she was gone...
'Oh well, if she decides to get together with Erik then they both would have to work that out.' I thought for myself remembering that Erik was afraid of Turnips for some weird reason.
Kin and I made it to entrance of the boss we just paused to make sure we were ready.
"Alright, sword? Check. Emergency Potions? Check. Safety gear on Kin? Check. I think we're ready." I said and then we opened the room's door.
once inside, like last time, the roach was hanging on the ceiling.
"Care to come down here?" I yelled and soon enough it dropped in front of us.
I drew my sword and then waited for it to make it's first move.
"Kin. remember, it's spit has poison. try not to get hit by it again." I reminded my silver wolf and she barked showing she had acknowledged what I had said.
the Roach indeed tried to spit some poison at us and Kin and I scattered to different sides of it, trying to split it's defenses.
"Take this!" I yelled as I rushed with Fire magic charged on my sword trying to increase the cutting power in it.
the sword made contact with one of it's legs but it didn't cut too deeply, instead the Roach just kicked me away as if I was just some annoying insect...
"Hey, how dare you treat me like a bug?" I yelled at it and then started charging some lightning magic on my sword and split it into its dual blades mode.
Kin Attacked trying to create an opening for me and she started biting and clawing at one of the legs. this made the roach drop and then I rushed in for the attack like Kin had.
since I had lightning magic on my swords the cutting power was even greater now.
"Take this!" I said and started slashing at it.
The Roach started shining gold again.
"That was quick. I think you're either under pressure or we've weakened you enough. Man, having a weapon really makes a difference." I said and then waited for the next attack of the roach. it started spitting the high pressure water at us and both Kin and I obviously had to dodge every attack, otherwise we would have been cut down.
"Kin watch out!" I yelled as Kin almost got hit by some poison that the roach shot along with the water.
Kin managed to dodge the poison barely, but in the distraction she got too close to the water and got a cut on the side
"Kin!" I yelled and ran to get to her. "Are you ok?' I asked and saw that she was bleeding pretty badly.
"I have to hurry here." I said and charged lightning on both my swords.
the Roach rushed at us and spat some poison too.
"Try to get me." I said and rushed in too. 'is do or die, I have to finish it in this move to get some help for Kin.' I said to myself and right when both the Roach and me were face to face I dodged under the Poison as well as under the Roach and kept my swords upwards cutting it all across the belly and right when I got out from under the Roach I used a raising slash cutting it's back side and then it disappeared off to the first forest.
"Kin. are you still ok?" I asked Kin and she just whined. "Don't worry. I'll get help quick." I said and used the return spell back tot he surface.
I hurried to the Green Ruins trying to catch up to Mr. Kain but he had just left.
"Man. I need to get to Cinnamon quick..." I said to myself. "...I hope this works." I said and walked out of the ruins.
Once outside I started thinking of Cinnamon's place, the front door to her place...'Return!' I said to myself and just like I had hoped the Return Spell took me to her place.
'Thank you god!' I said and rang the door bell.
"Who is it?" Candy said
"Candy. Is Cinnamon home? I need help quick!" I said and right away both Cinnamon and Candy walked out the front door.
"What happened?" Candy asked
"School dungeon Boss." was all I said and right away Cinnamon uses her Healing Magic. after a few seconds she finished
"She'll be ok now." Cinnamon said and after a couple seconds Kin got up and started running all around the yard and right away to Cinnamon and started licking her face.
"Kin calm down." Cinnamon started saying "Stop that it tickles." she said and then the two just calmed down and Kin just laid on Cinnamon's lap
"Thanks for that." I said to Cinnamon
"Anytime."
"do you think maybe you can teach me the Healing magic? it would help in case we can't reach you for some reason." I asked
"I could try. but just like with you and lightning magic I created this one and i don't know if You'll be able to use it." Cinnamon said
"I see..." I said thinking about the magic. "Well, then don't worry about it. maybe like my Lightning Magic, your Healing Magic is your specialty and I wouldn't try to take it away from you."
"You wouldn't be taking anything away. I'd be glad to try to teach it to you." Cinnamon said
"Well...We can give it a try." I said and then we walked into her house as Candy stayed playing with Kin.
once in her room she got a notebook from her bookshelf and handed it to me.
"I wrote pretty much all of the notes on Healing Magic on that notebook. maybe if you read it it'll be a better explanation." Cinnamon said and sat down in front of me.
"Alright." I said and started paging/reading through the notebook.
once I made it to the fourth page it started having "you try" scenarios.
"Ok, so first I have to think of how severe the injury is...and then I concentrate my mana on the palm of my hand..." I said following the steps but it wouldn't work.
"I guess I was right...sorry Raguna." Cinnamon said sounding a little sad.
"Don't worry about it. you've thought me Fire Magic and helped me create my Lightning Magic. what more could I ask of you?" I replied
"Thanks Raguna. you're so kind..." Cinnamon said and lean in and pecked me on the cheek. I felt that I went as red as a tomato. "What's the matter Raguna?" she asked
"Well...that's the first time we share...a kiss, even if it was on the cheek..." I replied a little fidgety
"Oh Raguna. You're so silly." Cinnamon said and gave me a hug, which I happily returned. "Well, since Healing Magic didn't work. How about learning some other Element?"
"Ok. what should we go into now?" I asked
"Well...to be honest. I'm scared of the results, but maybe Water magic would be good." Cinnamon said
"Why are you afraid of the results?" I asked
"Water conducts electricity. if you're not careful you could end up zapping yourself with your Lightning Magic." Cinnamon explained
"...True..." I said "...but I could also use it to increase the strength of my Lightning Magic if I can learn to use it properly."
"Yeah...that's true..." Cinnamon said and then she got a couple fishing rods from her closet. "Well then let's go."
"Where to? I thought we were going to learn Water Magic..." I said
"And what better place than near water." Cinnamon said and both of us walked out the door and towards the river.
