Chapter 28

Raguna POV

"Well that was fun…" I said and then Cinnamon nodded her head happily.

"Well then I'm guessing is nearing that time. Where do you want to have lunch?" I asked Cinnamon and then she pulled her phone out and started typing.

[Some Junk food sounds nice. I've recently wanted Pizza.] I read from her phone.

"Then Pizza it is." I said and we both walked towards downtown's restaurants

After entering a Pizza shop I was familiar with I went up to the counter.

"Sure no problem. What size and what toppings would you like on it?" the guy at the register asked.

I suddenly smiled at a certain memory. The time I didn't make it to the Free Pizza Lunch Special and Cinnamon shared half of it with me it was a Pepperoni and Pineapple pizza. I smiled at the memory and turned to the guy and waved him to get closer.

"Can we get one Personal Pizza with Pepperoni and Pineapple toppings?" I whispered to him trying to keep it a secret from Cinnamon.

"You sure that's enough?" the guy asked

"It'll be plenty." I replied to him and Cinnamon just looked at us without minding the fact I had kept our order "secret" from her

"Alright then, so, what size drinks will you have?" the guys asked

Cinnamon pointed at the small cup and so she grabbed a small soda and I got a medium soda.

"Alright, your total comes up to 8.50 Gold." The guy said as he handed us our cups and then I handed him the money.

"Here's your change. You're pizza will be ready in about 10-15 minutes. I'll take it over to you." the guy said and Cinnamon and I filled our cups with Soda and took a seat on a corner of the shop.

"I'm sure you'll like our order." I said to Cinnamon and she typed something on her phone

[I remember the time we shared a Pizza when the Pizza smell came to me.] Cinnamon typed

"I remember that. It feels like so long ago." I said

[Maybe we should have woken you up shouldn't we?] Cinnamon typed again

"Is ok, it was my fault. Besides, when I go to sleep in class I sleep like a log. Is actually hard to wake me up…or so I've heard." I replied

[How do you know that?] Cinnamon asked

"The guys in class were trying to wake me up a couple months ago. They even called Erik, my best friend, to try and wake me up. Not even he knew what to do. He even tried non-stop nonsense talking right next to my ear at a volume that apparently was heard from the gates of the school. I don't know if it's true. But if they got Erik to try that then I must have been out cold." I explained

[Well, if it happened maybe a kiss could wake you up like in the stories.] Cinnamon said

"That only works on girls" I said getting embarrassed at the idea.

Cinnamon lightly laughed at my reaction and soon after the Pizza got here.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. Here's your Pizza." The guy that was at the register said as he brought our Pizza over.

"Is ok." I replied and he placed the Pizza down on the table in between us.

Cinnamon's eyes widened and then smiled happily.

"Have a nice meal." The guy said and took his leave.

"You like it?" I asked and Cinnamon typed something on her phone

[I Love it] she said

"Well, we better get started before it gets cold." I said and we started eating.

Once we finished our small Pizza, that even thought was "Personal" sized it was actually about 14 inches in diameter, both Cinnamon and I were full and happy with our meals. We picked our things up and walked out of the Pizzeria then she started typing something in her phone

[Can we go home? I wanna get some of the work given to us done.] I read from her phone and so I started walking in the direction to her house but she didn't follow.

"What's the matter?" I asked

[Can we go to your place?] She shyly typed on her phone.

"I know I'm going to sound like a total Jerk and inconsiderate brute but…Why?" I asked and she quickly started typing.

[I feel afraid without you. This morning the only thing calming me down was that I knew you would come to my room first thing in the morning.] She typed and I couldn't help but turn red from reading that.

Cinnamon and I both got to my house and walked right in.

"We're home!" I called out into the house and my mom walked out from the washing room.

"Welcome back. I thought Cinnamon was going home today." Mom said

"…Short, yet long story." I said and she just nodded yes.

Cinnamon and I went into my room and we got some packets out from our bags. The teachers took the liberty to put some work into our bags so we wouldn't get behind in our classes. Cinnamon and I worked on these packets, which included work from English, Math, Science and History. We got our entire Math done within an hour and we started our English packet second. Half way though it I saw how Cinnamon was rubbing her eyes.

"You tired? We should take a break." I said and looked at the time. We had been working on the English packet for about 3 hours straight.

"In fact maybe that's enough for the day." I said "if we work on these again today maybe later would be better." I said and she just nodded.

Cinnamon and I walked to the living room and sat down to watch some TV. After a few minutes I felt my arms a little sore and wanted to give them a stretch.

"Cinnamon. Do you mind if I go out for a bit? I feel like stretching my arms." I asked her and she just nodded a yes knowing I meant going to a dungeon and exercising a little.

Cinnamon stood at the entrance as I was getting ready to leave and when I was about to open the door…

"Going out son?" Mom asked with Dad following close behind her.

"Yeah, going out for some exercise to stretch my arms." I said

"Mind if I go with you? The farm didn't really give the burn I was expecting for today." Dad asked

"I don't mind." I replied

"I'll go get my sword." Dad said and walked upstairs

"We can have some bonding time." Mom said to Cinnamon and she just smiled in return.

Dad showed up after a couple minutes and Cinnamon and Mom waved us off and we went to the closest dungeon, the Green Ruins.

"Is been a while since I last came here." I said

"Has it really?" Dad asked as we walked down the staircase in the entrance of said Ruins.

"Hey, if it isn't Raguna, haven't seen you in a while." I heard a familiar voice.

"How you been Dan?" I asked the punk of a scientist

"Been doing nothing but eat books trying to understand these ruins, I still got nothing." He said

"Don't hurt yourself there." I said teasingly

"Who do you think you're talking to?" Dan said and playfully punched me on the arm "So, who's the Old man?"

"Old man?" Dad repeated a bit irritated

"Oh, sorry about that, this is my Father his name is…" I started

"Ragna Strife!" the three of us heard a voice and then Dad drew his sword and blocked a wooden sword with the flat end of his sword.

"What's the matter Kain? All those books and research messed with your muscles or something" Dad said teasingly to Mr. Kain

"Not at all. I just thought I'd get you back for the last prank you played on me."

"P-lease. You know that last "Prank" as you call it was your idea. You said that whenever we got a call from our girlfriends or mothers to make a girl voice and fake that you were having some sort of intimate relationship with them." Dad said not sounding ashamed at all.

"But did you have to remember that time?" Mr. Kain asked

"I know I'm gonna regret this later, but…What did you do Dad?" I asked

"Well as I said, many years back he got a call from Cari and then I started making sound like a girl having sex with him. The next day in school Cari chewed his ass about it." Dad said "The most impressive part was that she didn't believe when I said it was me who made those sounds."

"Yeah, she almost broke up with me that time." Mr. Kain said

"…" Dan and I just watched in silent as my Dad and Mr. Kain kept arguing.

"Um…dad, maybe we should go?" I asked him

"Right." Dad said and turned away from Mr. Kain. "Now if you'll Excuse us. We're gonna take down a boss." Dad added and we walked further into the dungeon.
