Happy Halloween Everyone! Themusicmaniac here!

I hope you are all having an amazing day! Thank you so much for your thoughtful reviews and your follows.

As it stands, it seems I have a couple of questions that would best serve for answering out of story:

katmar1994 and Guest: There is a new character next chapter. I won't tell you who because... spoilers! But, it will be a few chapters before we meet Darkwing. I want to take time to explore some other characters and establish some more background behind Let's Get Dangerous. I've always thought of Valerie as more of Young Scrooge/Goldie height. There aren't really college age characters in the series, except maybe Fenton? A little taller than Lena, but not as tall as DW.

Tompotter38: I'll have to admit it's a bit difficult to juggle three universes. Thank you so much for the reminder! I really appreciated your review. Thanks!

SciFiGirl253: Thank you so much for reviewing the story! I really appreciated the encouragement early on. I haven't been on the site before and realized that I need to have patience with this story, and post even if no one reads it, because it's about having the courage to post, not how many people read it.

Thank you also to the other Guests for your reviews, and always, enjoy!

"Bon- Bonkers?" I said in disbelief, as he walked towards me.

Bonkers is an orange bobcat. He has black spots, and a striped tail. He was wearing a blue police hat and jacket and shining a flashlight in my direction. It kind of hurt to look at, actually.

"Why yes, that is my name. And a quite nice one indeed." He paused, thinking. "But how on earth do YOU know my name?"

"Uh…" I didn't really have an answer for that one.

"Who are you?" He asked, stepping towards me in a menacing curiosity. I knew that he wouldn't hurt me. He's Bonkers. He's goofy, he's sincere, he's… unsure of my innocence.

"Bonkers, trust me, I know that this looks bad, but I wasn't just running from that lab, I was escaping!" I stepped back, looking for a possible explanation. Or if the conversation turned sour, a way out.

"So you were escaping!" Bonkers pointed his finger in my face in an accusatory manner.

"Yes!" I said, nearly in exasperation.

"I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!" He exclaimed, bouncing up and down around me. "You seemed injured when you were running too...maybe from an injury sustained from breaking into the lab." This last part was whispered, but I heard it. He suddenly stood straight up and his behavior changed completely. "So what did you steal from McDuck labs you mischievous miscreant?"

"NOTHING!" I threw my arms into the air and my head back, exasperated. "I stole NOTHING from McDuck labs, Bonkers. Will you just listen to me?"

Bonkers was a little shocked at this outburst, and scanned me once more.

"Okay, I'll give you a chance." He crossed his arms, and gave me a skeptical look, "But I'm watching you, missy! One step out of line, and… SNAP!" He cuffed one of my hands, and I yelled out in surprise, "You're coming with me to the big house!"

"Bonkers!" I yelled, trying to pull my hand out of the cuff, "Why did you do that?"

"What?" Bonkers said innocently, "It makes good comedy."

"Comedy?" I was getting really irritated at this point, but checked myself. Besides, I had just jumped out of a building and escaped a lab. It was then that I noticed a FOWL agent (who're called Eggmen for their weird, egg shaped helmets) searching the bush that I had fallen out of, and turned to Bonkers.

"You know what, can we move a little bit that way?"

"Why?"

"I'll explain in a minute. Please?"

"Okay…" Bonkers said, a little hesitantly.

"Just trust me." I said, pleading with my eyes.

"Why don't we head to the park a couple of blocks over?"

"No, that's too in the open…" I said, looking around. "How about the bridge?"

"You mean that big bridge leading into the city?"

"Yeah, that one!" I said, smiling.

He thought for a couple of seconds before he shrugged and said, "Why not." before unlatching my handcuff from my hand. He started to head towards the street when I tapped his shoulder and pointed at the Eggman.

"Who's tha-"

"SHHHH!" I pulled him away from the roadway into the alley. "They're looking for me, and they're bad!" I whispered.

He seemed confused, but let me lead him down the alley. When we got out the other side, I said, "That's one of FOWL's Eggmen."

"He doesn't look stupid to me." Bonkers replied, and I stared at him for a second, before almost facepalming.

"Not Egghead you egghead! He's a foot soldier for FOWL." Bonkers' face scrunched.

"What's FOWL?" He asked, and I realized that there is likely no reason he would know what FOWL was. Unless the police had caught onto it, and they probably hadn't, because SHUSH was working on that kind of thing.

"The Fiendish Organization for World Larceny." I said, checking for any threat before I determined it was safe to go out into the roadway. Bonkers walked beside me, fully attentive to the conversation. "And they're after me because of Taurus Bulba's new invention."

"Woah woah woah stop the presses!" Bonkers said, stopping in the middle of the sidewalk. "Dr. Taurus Bulba as in the Bull of the Year, the top St. Canard Scientist, the one that's working on a crazy new invention? THAT Taurus Bulba?"

"Yes." I said, continuing to walk towards the bridge. I didn't like being in the open. Bonkers ran up to me, speed walking backwards in front of me as I walked.

"But he's an amazing person! An upstanding citizen! How could he be involved with an organization like that?" Bonkers questioned, looking almost distressed.

I sighed and looked at the bridge.

"His new invention… it's an interdimensional portal."

"An interdimensional portal. Then…" Bonkers started saying some unintelligible math jargon and drawing some numbers in the air. He gave a loud gasp and I nervously looked around to see if anyone was watching us. "Are you saying you're from another dimension!?"

"Yes…" I said, a little unsure. "I know it sounds a little crazy, but I believe it was unintentional. When I came through the portal, he was yelling for a Dr. Waddlemeyer."

"Dr. Waddlemeyer… That sounds familiar."

"I didn't trust Bulba at first. He reminded me of a villain from a TV show in my dimension."

"You didn't trust him because of a TV show?" Bonkers asked, "You should know not to trust everything you see on T.V."

"Well he looked exactly like him! Had the same name, same body, same almost everything! He even had an invention named the Ramrod!" I said, shrugging, "He almost charmed me, but then he gave me tea with sleeping drugs in it."

"He drugged you?" Bonkers asked. "I wouldn't expect Dr. Bulba to do that."

"I didn't see it coming either." I sighed, "I woke up in a medical room, I'm assuming one of their labs. Looked kind of like a doctor's office." I shrugged, looking down at the sidewalk. "I didn't know what would happen next, so I crawled up through the vents. I heard Bulba twice. Once he called FOWL to ask them to find me, the next time he was talking to Scrooge McDuck to schedule a visit in two weeks."

"How did you get out."

"I reached the end of the vent system." I hugged my left arm as I continued, "I didn't know how else to get out so I jumped." Bonkers winced. "I got lucky. I landed in a bush, and rushed into the alleyway to distance myself from the building. That's where you saw me."

"So you're saying that Bulba accidentally pulled you from another dimension, then he kept you hostage, and you were escaping from the lab." He said skeptically, "But why?"

"I… don't know." I whispered. "I think it has to do with the nature of the Ramrod. There must be something that I know that he doesn't want anyone else to."

We were both silent for a little while. Bonkers seemed to be thinking about my story, I was trying to process everything that just happened. A couple of days ago, I was sitting in Archaeology courses, and now, I was walking on the streets of St. Canard with Bonkers.

This was insane.

"Bonkers?" I asked quietly.

"Yeah?"

"Do you believe me?"

"I...don't know." He said hesitantly.

"What?"

"It's just your story… Other dimensions? Drugs? Where's the motive? Why would Bulba do that? He just seems so…"

"Nice?"

"Yeah."

I continued walking forward, trying to figure out what to do. I wasn't even sure I could call Darkwing Duck at this point, much less trust anyone else. Bonkers didn't even seem to believe me, and I couldn't call Gosalyn…

Wait, where WAS Gosalyn? If Bonkers is here, and if Bulba is a scientist, she could be different from the original show too!

And if Waddlemeyer went missing at the same time I came here then maybe his address is still in the book. If he wasn't there, maybe Bonkers would believe me!

"Hey Bonkers, I think I might have proof of my story?"

"Well, let's see it then."

"Well… it's not a thing, it's a person."

"Okay?"

"If Bulba was searching for Dr. Waddlemeyer when I got here, then he wouldn't be at home, right?"

"Right?"

"So, why don't we go to his house and see if he's there?" I said, as we reached the bridge. "If he answers the doorbell, then you can take me right down to the police station and question me. But if he's not, then you should help me investigate what Bulba's doing."

"I guess that doesn't seem to do any harm." Bonkers thought, "As long as we JUST ring his doorbell…"

"But how do we know where his house is."

"Oh, we'll just use the yellow phonebooks."

"Wait… St. Canard still uses the yellow address phone books?"

"And your city doesn't?"

"Nope."

"1321 Beakway Ave. St. Canard, Calisota! It's all right here!" Bonkers beamed. I frowned slightly at this. If Waddlemeyer's address is THIS easy for us to find… how much easier is it for Bulba or someone else to find. If Gosalyn hasn't already had a guardian pick her up from her house, she could be in danger!

"We should hurry." I said, "I'm getting tired."

We started walking back towards the city, Bonkers leading the way as my tired vigilance started to slip.

What I didn't notice was the figure leaning by the bridge.

"FOWL high command?" He said, tapping a communicator on his shoulder, "I've found the girl."

OOOoooo! Underrated Darkwing character alert!

Thank you all for reading and See ya all next time!
