Jesús: "Well I'm back with another update. I know I promised, or at least hoped to make, a longer chapter for this one, but I might fall short from my expectations. Truth be told, I'm having a little trouble moving the story, specifically the current drama, forward. This is my best attempt, so without further ado…let's get to it…" [Disclaimer] "…I don't own RF or any of the Anime/Manga/Videogames referenced in this story. Ch. 46

Cinnamon and I stared at the girl, Rosetta. Rule that prevented students from having part time jobs? When was that instated.

"Um…What are you talking about? There's no such rule in the school is there?" I asked

"You dare doubt me? I'll have you know that not only do I know every rule in the handbook, I helped write the newest iterations of them." Rosetta said proudly puffing her chest out.

"Isn't that a job technically?" I pointed out.

"Quiet! For your behavior I could have the both of you thrown into detention or even expelled." Rosetta said

"Cause that's not abuse of authority. Look, we didn't know of this rule. If we go and have a talk with the principal I'm sure we can all figure something out." I tried to reason.

"I agree, but since school comes back in session tomorrow I'll have you both go there tomorrow morning. If you don't show up, your punishment will far more severe." Rosetta finished and stomped away.

"What's up her butt…" I said and looked over to Cinnamon, who clearly wasn't ok.

I wrapped an arm around her trying to calm her nerves, but as soon as I did tears started flowing from her eyes.

"We're gonna be expelled…" Cinnamon said in disbelief

"No we're not…" I said and placed a proper hugh on her.

"We won't be able to hang out with the others any more. And Dad will probably have me break up with you because you agreed about us getting jobs…" Cinnamon was starting to enter Hysteria.

"Hey Cinnamon, calm down please. I won't let that happen. If your dad even thinks of breaking us up, I'll give him a proper challenge. Dad told me he used to fight, I'm sure he'll take it." I said half-jokingly.

I walked cinnamon home and the whole way she kept repeating 'We're gonna be expelled' over and over. When we got to her house, her mother answered the door and after seeing Cinnamon she freaked out thinking something horrible happened. I talked with her and Mr. Kain about what happened and the two of them just kinda shrugged it off.

"Cinnamon is always been one to quickly think of every possible outcome. She probably noticed many more negatives than positives…" Mr. Kain said

"is she gonna be ok though?" I asked honestly worried.

"she'll be fine. She just needs to rest for a while. Tomorrow, you two should go to the principal's office as you intended, maybe something can be done even if you have to quit your jobs."

"right…" I said and just stared at the ground.

I returned home with my mood slowly getting worse and worse. Once I got home I made it to my room and just threw myself onto my bed.

"I can't believe this is happening…" I said to myself. From my laying position I saw my "Linker" helmet. "…I could really blow off some steam…"

I grabbed the Linker Helm and laid flat on my back on my bed.

"Full Dive." I said activating the device and entering the game.

Once inside I saw the hub town where I last saved. I opened my stat screen and started seeing how I was doing.

"Level, 67. Str(Weapon equipped) 1452. Spd 623. Def 847. I guess I'm ok for a takedown…" I said to myself and started heading for the mission board.

In it I find a quest for the subjugation of a monster by the name of Ba'al. the monster was Humanoid but had the "power of destruction" with the special ability of causing insta-death if it hit its opponent. The quest was recommended for minimum parties of seven people, but we had managed to beat it with three in the past. I traveled to the spawn area of Ba'al, an abandoned mountain side mansion, and looked for the monster. Once I found the location I got ready.

"Here we go." I said to myself and drew my swords.

I rushed quickly but quietly into the mansion and made my way though the many halls and stair cases to reach the Ba'al's spawn location. I cut and stabbed at any other monsters along the way just to get them out of my way. I finally reached the exact location and the Ba'al was standing at the center of what I would describe as the ballroom of the mansion. It looked upwards at the sky, which could be seen though a large window on the wall.

I took a second and decided to give myself a bit of an advantage. I picked up a random rock I saw laying on the ground and threw it across the room. When the rock hit ground it drew the attention of the monster and that was my cue. I rushed right in and stabbed my right-hand sword into the monster's left side. The monster let out a cry of intense pain, and instantly threw a punch at me. I jumped back avoiding the attack but leaving my second sword behind.

"Damn it!" I said and held my sword in a ready stance.

The monster pulled the sword out from its side and threw it across the room in the oposiote direction of where I was.

"Great."

The monster Roared and then rushed in at a speed that, if I wasn't used to battle by now, would have been blinding. I blocked the attack by clashing his right fist with my sword, but it sent a second attack with its other arm. The only think I could do to not directly take damage was try to redirect his attack. I threw a kick that connected under his wrist. My kick redirected its attack towards his right arm and it made contact with his arm. Instantly its right arm turned to stone and then started crumbling as if it was made of dust.

"So that's how it works…" I said to myself and quickly pulled an item from my inventory. "Take this!" I yelled and threw it to the ground.

The item exploded into a bright flash of light. A flash bomb, Cinnamon had me buy them in case of the need for a distraction. I sued the opening to land a couple slashes and then ran off to pick up my second sword. The Ba'al quickly regained its focus and rushed after me.

"do-or-die!" I yelled and as I grabbed my sword I jumped at the wall. I kicked off the wall and stabbed both sword into the Ba'al and pinned it to the ground. "Let's end this!" I yelled and pulled one sword out and slashed it across the neck "Killing" it and finishing my mission.

I returned to town to turn I the mission and even though I was only on for about 20 min. I decided to log out…

-back IRL-

I opened my eyes and found my parents standing next to my bed.

"What?" I asked

"Kain and Cari called, they told us about what happened." Mom said

"We were wondering how you were taking it, but noticing how the battle against that monster went…" Dad said pointing at the monitor of my desktop.

"Yeah well… I think I'll be fine. Is Cinnamon I'm worried about." I answered.

"Sorry son, but honestly…considering your battle just now. I don't think your all that ok. You're usually far more level headed. I mean, you did use tactics and the such, but that was a really risky battle." Dad said analyzing my previous battle.

"Everything will be ok. Even if you two do get expelled, we won't hold it against you guys." Mom said

"When did that rule get added anyway?" Dad asked referring to the "Students can't work" rule of the school.

I can only hope that it won't be too bad. I'm sure Cinnamon and I can do fine with detention, but she seemed really freaked out at the possibility of expulsion.

Jesús: "Like I said not as long as I'd like this one to be. I think I'm figuring it out, but it's still difficult to both find time to type and the words to properly write the chapter with. Anyway, leave a review telling me what you think and I'll see you guys next time.
