omake/extras—

1: when Grey buys things

(At Izumi's and Grey's apartment)

Delivery boy: hi, I'm here to deliver this package to Grey Nakamura.

Izumi: What's all this?

DB: purchases he made online last week. Can I get a sign, please?

I: (frowns from the huge size of the box) Did he do online shopping without me? Yeah, hold on a sec. What did he buy?

DB: Uh,(looks At list) Grills, tongs, wooden spoons, spatula—

I: Barbecue items?

Db: (continues) bleach, lighter fluid, ammonia, gasoline—

I: !? What the—

DB: —And (frowns for a bit) Plutonium?

I: (shouts to grey who is in his room upstairs) WHO DID YOU KIDNAP THIS TIME, GREY!

Grey: (meanwhile, shoving an unconscious person in his closet) oh shit.

2:No need to walk anymore. Part1

(Classroom, the girls talk among themselves)

Ashido: you're so lucky, Izumi. You got yourself a gentleman.

Izumi: (confused and startled and terrified) a gentleman...Kacchan is?

A: what!? No! I meant Grey! Why would you think it was Bakugue of all people!?

3:No need to walk anymore. Part 2

I: If you mean him being all nice, then you're mistaken. some of it is part of his playboy act. Like I said, he's a player.

A: but he walked with you to school this morning!

I:...yeah? And?

A: It means he waited for you outside your house and walked all the way to school just to be with you!

I:... (she's blank, she stares. She wants to say, "we live together, and we have no choice but to walk with each other" but can't say anything as she doesn't want people finding out.)

4:no need to walk anymore. Part 3

A:isn't that romantic?

I: I still don't understand what…

A: ah, Izumi you're so dense! Izumi, listen carefully. Grey walks to school with you because he chooses to do so. If he didn't, he'd use his quirk to reach school faster.

I: (realizes) oh god.

A: see? That shows he's willing to carry the burden with you and—

I: we don't need to spend on traveling expenses after all!

A:...huh?

I:Why didn't I think of it before, of course. With Grey's quirk, we can even avoid the press. Thanks, Ashido-San! (She leaves to tell Grey)

A:...what just happened?

(Note: Since then, Izumi and Grey didn't need to walk to school anymore. Also, even Grey had forgotten about his own quirk, so Ashido's assumption was way off)

—flashback, morning, hours before she fought against Katsuki and won, Izumi's room—

The moment she awoke, she was blind. Her emerald bright eyes were now silver grey in color. Everything she saw was pitch black.

"Are you serious?" She hissed, annoyed. "You gotta be kidding me." She set up, but didn't bother feeling scared, or have a panic attack.

Although waking up blind was a new experience for her, being blind was not. This was one of the symptoms of her sickness. She'd experience one of her 5 senses being stolen away temporarily once a month. And whenever she lost one of them, she'd have to take her medicines to shorten the experience. This was a normal routine for her.

Izumi shifted a bit so that her feet touched the cold surface of the floor, she stretched her arm to where her desk was vaguely located, looking for the medicines. Her hand kept tapping on the wooden surface from left to right. She growled, annoyed. Where in the heck did she leave it? Was it a little more to the top?

Suddenly, out of nowhere, she vomited on her blue All Might night shirt.

Her entire body froze. What the hell?

It didn't feel like a big amount came out of her mouth, but she couldn't help but worry if she ate something weird last night.

She frowned at herself when she licked her lips and sniffed the air. Her eyes widened. It was the smell and taste of iron.

It was then Izumi realized she vomited something worse than barf. Blood. Her blood. Panic and fear rushed through her veins.

She tripped and nearly stumbled when she hastily moved but remained upright. She touched the wall, then walked sideways until she felt a wooden door. Yes, the bathroom! She shut the door and locked at it. She reached out desperately into the darkness, searching for the sink and immediately vomited more blood when she found the sink bowl.

God, being blind and facing this crisis. The absolute worst combination as she didn't know If she made more of a mess on her way to the bathroom and the floor. How many minutes did it pass from the moment she awoke? 1-2 minutes? She'd have to keep track of the time right. It's crucial.

She vomited more as time went by. This had got to be her 10th? 12th? She didn't know. Even when her eyesight was returning, making the grey slowly transcend to green, she didn't care. The time. She had to keep track of how long she was experiencing this.

Izumi panted heavily,

"Izumi?" The sudden knock at her door startled her. "Are there? Breakfast is ready."

"Coming," god she sounded dreadful.

"Kitty? Are you sick?" Shit, Grey's voice sounded uncertain.

"I'm...fine," she looked at her own blood that stained her nightshirt. "I...I'm experiencing something that every woman experiences once a month."

"Uh, shit, okay." She heard retreating footsteps.

Huh, Weird, she was spurting out blood, yes, but not from where people expect.

Izumi kept a few secrets from Grey. This was one of them. Grey was aware of her sickness, and what she goes through. But this particular symptom was not in his knowledge. Compared to experiencing deafness, or blindness, or CIP, this symptom actually hurt her. Normally, if one vomited huge amounts of blood, it meant something was wrong with the stomach, or there was internal bleeding inside the body.

But she didn't have either of those. Nothing was torn or scarred, and there was no internal bleeding from the inside, either. But she still had to experience this, just like her other symptoms.

Frankly, yes, her medication was to shorten the experience of her sickness, but the main part of it was to prevent "this" from occurring too frequently. Unlike her other symptoms, she doesn't vomit blood once a month. But rather, the timing was too unpredictable. Sometimes it happens once 3 months pass, sometimes after 2 weeks.

Anyway, it seemed that the vomiting was over. Now she'd just have to hold out a little longer. Another 14 minutes. And it'll all be over.

She curled on the bathroom floor, hugging herself as though she was protecting her stomach. Her bare legs and arms felt cold, but she couldn't do anything. She was in pain. Her body was drenched in sweat as her stomach and insides were burning like hell. The pain was agonizing that her eyes were squeezed shut. Her nose was still sharp to know that her entire bathroom smelled like iron.

Just a little more, and it'll be over. She should try to be calm, not put more stress on herself as she'll spurt out blood again. Hold out a little more, just another 9 minutes. It'll be over.

It'll be over.

—current timeline, night, precinct, interrogation room (this is just a random "getting a confession from a criminal scene" where Izumi is a little badass, you can skip this if you like )—

Grey and Izumi sat side to side, interrogating a suspect before them.

Izumi wore the formal white long sleeve blouse that was also styled as a v-neck that exposed her collar bones. The blouse was tucked tightly into her black pants, followed by black high knee boots at the bottom. The black diamond stud earring, that was only pierced on the right side, glinted from the light. With no device planted at her neck, her long green wavy hair was styled in a half up and half down bun, like her mother. Her emerald eyes were dull and glazed while her face, powdered with makeup to hide her freckles, was was her mask, her poker face. Her work clothes and make up were additional things that made her look more mature to get people to take her seriously.

Grey, on the other hand, wore a dark blue formal suit but with no tie, letting his collar bones show as well. The dark jacket was left unbuttoned, showing the white shirt being tucked tightly into the pants. He didn't bother hiding his grin, amused by the suspect looking nervously at the both of them. Unlike Izumi, his demeanor wasn't emotionless nor cold, but he was equally intimidating as anyone can tell there was something sinister about him from his twisted smile.

"This is crazy," a 24 year old suspect cried to Izumi and Grey who were questioning him. "I told you already, I was in class when Mr. Fugo was killed."

"Nobody remembers seeing you there," she countered with a fact.

He hesitated. "...I sat in the back."

"The naughty kids always do." Grey remarked, still grinning.

"Listen, there's obviously been some kind of misunderstanding." the guy really had the guts play defensive when it's clear who killed their victim.

"Was this a misunderstanding as well?" she slided a paper to him across the table. "It's a signed statement from the super admitting that he took a 6,000 yen bribe from you to allow you into Mr. Fugo's apartment."

"I…" his lips wobbled. "Look, it was my Mr. Fong. He manipulated me."

She glowered, but controlled herself to not shout. "No. That is just a lie. And you know what else is a lie?" she stood slowly, bending forward so that he could take a good look at her face. "Your name. Yamada Shinko isn't your name, it's your roommate."

"Pretty smart using his identity to land a good pay job." Grey said as she sat back down. He chuckled to himself. " Well, I guess it'd be pretty tough to get hired after having two felony counts of counterfeiting now, isn't it, Shima-san?" the older man looked at Grey in panic when he said his first real name.

She placed a file on the table. "You've got quite a rap sheet, Mr. Yuno." she tilted her head as her left cheek rested at the back of her hand. "Hmm. One more strike, and you go away for a long time. Which is why you could not let Mr. Fong call the cops when he found out the truth. So you shot him."

"Think you're gonna pin this murder on me?" the man stood, growling at them. "No way. You don't got jack."

Well, it's true they couldn't find hard evidence to prove that this son of bitch murdered his boss, however…

Izumi pointed at the super's signed witness statement. "Read carefully," she said in a low voice, "You bribed the super, twice. And the second time was when you discovered Mr. Fong had a heated argument with his neighbor hours before you killed him. So you planted the gun in the neighbor's apartment to frame him." She got up, taking the file and statement as she went to the door,

"Swing and a miss," Grey stood with her, leaving the interrogation room. "Strike three. You're out."

The slammed shut.

the man shook his head in dismay. His life was over.

-Precinct, 10:37 PM, Izumi's desk-

Izumi stretched her tired muscles as she sank back to her chair. "Another case closed." Thank god she finished her homework back at school. She hoped Grey did the same. Now that she thought about it, she hadn't asked how his classes were going. Last she checked, he said his homeroom teacher didn't like him, which meant he knew Grey personally if he bore that kind of grudge against Grey.

"Yeah," Grey handed her black leather jacket.

"Thank you,"

"So you wanna eat out tonight? Or just grab donuts and have that for dinner?" then he quickly said, "no police stereotype intended, of course."

Before she could say a word, a deep voice behind them called, "Detective Angel, Detective Devil." They looked back, and so did everyone else. Some cops held their breaths and froze in fear as the captain of the precinct strided past them.

Midoriya Ookami Daiki was a large 40 year old man who was feared by people mainly due to his appearance. A werewolf, or the big bad wolf, people called him.

His head and body was of a pure black wolf with piercing sea green eyes. His height was over 195 cm, the same as Endeavor. His voice was deep and rough, it was enough to scare the crap out of anyone who met him for the first time. Thick smell of cigar was always coming from either the dark green trench coat he always wore, or from his thick black fur.

"I'd like to speak with the two of you in my office,"

-Captain's office-

"I heard what happened today, your principal had called me earlier and was thankful to the two of you for what you've done behind the scenes." He looked at Izumi, "Angel, the principal has considered your offer and agreed to tighten security. Good job." He looked at Grey. "Devil...thanks for calling."

"?!" Was the teens' reaction.

"Though it would have been a lot faster if you had used your quirk as a shortcut for my men." The older man added.

Izumi looked at Grey incredulously. She mouthed, You had them drive all the way to School?

You said call them, not teleport them, Grey mouthed back.

She raised a brow while giving an unamused look. She mouthed, I was suffocating in the crowd when Kacchan and Todoroki-kun had me cornered.

He blinked. "What? You didn't tell me that," he said aloud, and she rolled her eyes and looked away.

Midoriya Ookami Daiki had cleared his throat to get their attention. "Anyway, back to the main subject, we still have an unidentifiable culprit on the loose. As your captain, Detective Angel, I advise you to keep your eyes and ears open for the next couple of days. As your uncle, Izumi, I want to keep an eye on you personally."

She stared at him unamused. "As your niece, Uncle Daiki, I can't allow you to follow me to school tomorrow. Stalking is Grey's menial, unimportant job, not yours."

"Hey!" the tanned boy protested. Izumi raised her hand, gesturing to him to stay quiet.

The wolf captain grunted in agreement in response. "I'm aware. But I cannot help myself from feeling disturbed. U.A has the best security and safety system compared to other schools." Yeah, she thought the same. " Their stronghold even supasses the precinct as the media, from time to time, sneak into our offices through the trash shoots. Yet somehow, someone managed to slither in as though they were robbing a third rate bank."

Grey nodded. "Well, we'll do what we can from the inside while uniforms are stationed out. If something's amiss, we'll give a call."

"Yes...now, Changing to a personal subject. " he looked at her. "Honestly speaking,Izumi, your aunt and I find parenthood troublesome, and we still do. I am sure you were aware of that as you do not have any cousins from our side."

"That's a little blunt and random, don't you think, Sir?" Grey stated as he sweatdropped. The captain looked at him, unamused.

Izumi cleared her throat. "Grey, sorry, privacy please,"

The tanned boy looked between the two of them awkwardly. "Right," he left the room.

"However," he continued, "after what happened to your mother, the two of us swore to do our best to raise and protect you. We … I admit, weren't the best figures for you as we were fixated with our work."

"I understand, uncle." she smiled at him warmly. "It's okay. It's not your fault. I knew your situation so I tried not to stir much trouble."

"You were and still are a smart child, Izumi. But you still deliberately make foolish decisions from time to time, especially whenever it comes to your health, or if it involves that boy who's ruining your life."

"Kacchan didn't...ruin anything, it's not his fault. He turned out like that because he...doesn't remember…"

Her uncle sighed heavily, running his furry hand through his head. "You keep saying that, but I disagree. Ever since his quirk manifested, his surroundings had slowly been shaped, forcefully or not, into his likening and preferences. If the villain didn't attack him, he'd still, either way, be the same guy as he is now…"

Izumi opened her mouth to protest, but no words came out. She didn't want to argue an argument she couldn't win. Not against the same man who took care of her in her mother's stead, trained her immensely to a professional cop, and taught her all the skills she needed to survive in this cruel world.

"...I'll take my leave tonight," she said, and turned her heel. Right before she could touch the door knob, she heard him say.

"And another thing...your doctors contacted me a few days back. I hear your medication increased again?"

Izumi froze . "Yes?" She swallowed, then looked at him over her shoulder. "It happened just yesterday. When I woke up that morning, I found myself blind. I took my medicines right after my sight returned before going to school. I…I experienced the symptoms again during the afternoon, CIP. but it lasted much longer than expected. It should have been between 5-7 minutes, but it exceeded over 15."

She waited for his response so that she could leave. Silence for a few heartbeats, then—

"Izumi, please continue your medications with the previous dosage. There's no need for you to increase it again."

What?

"The symptoms of your sickness, without medication , only lasts between 10–30 minutes, sometimes over 45. but the significant part of it is that you don't experience pain within yourself. You don't suffer."

She immediately turned to his direction in panic. "Uncle Daiki!"

"Izumi," he said with a sturn growl, and that shut her mouth "You and I know well enough that a little too much of something isn't good for someone, and in this case it's your body. It is already unpleasant enough to know that whenever you take your medications, you fail to sleep at night." he looked at her earnestly before sighing heavily, shaking his head. He went to his desk and took his cigar from the box. "I am aware you do not want more people to notice you are sick, but an overdose of those drugs would get you killed. Especially considering how strong they are. Do you understand?"

She stared at him before turning away, biting her lip. "Yes uncle."

He opened his office window, after he lit his cigar. "Good…" he looked out for a few heartbeats, inhaling the cigar and blowing out smoke outside. "Now...has "that" happened yet?"

Ah...crap.

She hesitated. "...yes…" she replied. "I...that morning when I woke up blind, I had also experienced "that" at the same time."

"When was the last time it happened?"

"10 months back ,a few days after the Sludge incident. The doctors noticed the warning signs in advance, and asked me to stay home for a couple days for precaution."

"And the timing comparison from back then and yesterday?"

"Exactly 43 minutes." She bit her lip again. "The pain was...it wasn't too bad."

"Sugarcoating isn't going to do you any good, Izumi." She flinched when he easily saw through that lie. "Has Grey noticed yet?"

She sighed, relieved about that part. "No, it was a close call yesterday when he called me for breakfast, but I managed."

"I see...you are dismissed."

She bowed to him respectfully, and left the office in a hurry.

Forget dinner.

She just wanted to collapse in her bed and sleep now.
