Two goblins skidded into the great hall. The teachers who were distracted by a loose troll were of course not there. Adventures always seemed to happen when the adults - or at least authority members - were not around.

Normally, two goblins would have no chance against hundreds of students. That was ignoring the fact that the second goblin was currently holding a Muggleborn hostage. Most Purebloods seemed not to care because of that and the Muggleborns were not close enough to properly form a plan. All in all, it appeared that Sally-Anne Perks had no chance of rescue.

Fortunately - or unfortunately depending on how you looked at it -, this was discounting a certain Doctor. Said Doctor took a measured breath because she needed to think of a plan, dammit! Before she could get a chance to really formulate one, the goblins started speaking.

"Where is the Oncoming Storm? I challenge you to a duel! Once you are defeated, no goblin shall ever have to fear your name again? Come 'Doctor' or we will kill your companion!"

"All right! All right!" The Doctor said holding her arms up as if in surrender. "Just let the girl go!"

"Not a chance!" the goblin replied nastily. "Your heads will look good on my wall."

"Our wall" his fellow goblin cut in almost nervously.

"Yes, yes our wall." the goblin replied dismissively. He then drew a long sword and pointed it towards the Doctor. "Come on then!"

"Nobody" the Doctor warned "In this universe or any other gets to threaten children in front of me without repercussion. I'm giving you a warning, run."

The goblin lunged at her with a sword and she parried with the nearest thing nearby - a spoon. He withdrew his sword slightly and attempted to come at her from the other side but yet again she was able to deflect him. Dodging out of the way, she let his sword pierce where she had been a second earlier and took the opportunity to body check him. He stumbled backwards before quickly regaining his footing.

He then proceeded to swing his sword in an arc through where her stomach had been but she was quick to leap diagonally back out of the way. He lunged at her again but she was able to get behind him this time and pushed him once again forward. He swiped once again but he was getting sloppy now and the momentum of his swing carried him around. She tried to trip him over but he was too stable to fall.

Once again he tried to skewer her but this strike was much faster than the others and he managed to shatter her spoon.

"I liked that spoon!" she complained to no one in particular as he held his sword near her chest "It's time Oncoming Storm. Soon you shall be but a tale."
