This isn't strictly between the Arkham Batman (drawing almost entirely from Arkham: Origins. I know. I'm sorry. Kinda. Not really.) and Mortal Kombat, but they're definitely integral to the story and the two franchises contain some of the biggest players. Another important thing to note is that Batman and Mortal Kombat won't even have the most chapters. Others are just as imporant.
