When they arrived at the beach house they unpacked all their things and ate some sandwiches. Once it got dark Richard set out a blanket on the sand. Rachel and Richard laid on the blanket in the dark watching the stars, counting them, telling stories, wishing on them, making pictures with them. They were out there hours just listening to the ocean waves crash against the rocks and letting the stars and the moment they were having together be permanently implanted in their head forever. They never wanted to forget this peaceful moment, they did not have much of them so they never want to let go of it. When Richard turned to look at Rachel he saw laying her head on his chest she was sound asleep. He picked her up bridal style and carried her to her room in her cabin. When he tucked her away in bed he kissed the top of her forehead. When he was out of Rachel's room he went and got the rest of the bag out of the car, one of those bags being Rachel's backpack. Once he set her backpack on the floor some things tumbled out of it. Richard groaned to tired to pick everything up that fell out but one thing caught his eye. A zip-loc bag of small white pills. Richard knew right away that Rachel was getting them illegally and that they were not prescribed to her. Richard sighed and rubbed his eyes figuring out that was probably what her and Jinx were arguing about. Richard text Jinx and told him that he found the pills. Richard learned that Roy was the one supplying her with the pills and that she had been taking them ever since the police took her from Richard's house on Christmas. It was Roy's Christmas present to Rachel, something to take away the pain. Richard slammed his fists not the table after reading about the illegal substance the Rachel was taking. Richard decided he wouldn't confront Rachel till after their trip was over not wanting to ruin it and he was hoping the Rachel would tell him on her own, but he knew she wouldn't.

In the morning Richard woke up to the smell of pancakes, eggs and bacon.

"Wow everything smells so delicious, what's the catch?"

"There is no catch, Cant I just do something nice for my boyfriend." Rachel said walking with a plat of food toward Richard and gave kiss a peck on the lips. The sat and had a nice breakfast together, Richard trying to forget what he discovered last night. he was trying to hide his anger, his disappointment. "So what do we have planned today?" Rachel asked eager to start the day.

"I was thinking we could go the board walk, play some games, go on some rides, eat some carnival food."

"That sounds great let me go get dressed." Rachel jumped up from her chair excitedly and left to her room to change.

"Hey Rachel?"

"Ya?" She called back to Richard from her room.

"Do you have anything to tell me?"

"No" She laughed coming out of her room looking at Richard like he was crazy. "Why? Is there something I need to tell you? Rachel began combing her purple hair.

"I guess not, Its just you and Jinx seemed like you guys were getting into it yesterday."

"Oh that... That was nothing you know how Jinx can be sometimes." Rachel let out a small fake laugh, bur Richard kept his stare on her, and Rachel noticed. "Richard, what's wrong why are you staring at me like that?" Rachel walked up to him and put her hand to his face to bring him down to her height to kiss her, but Richard pulled away. "Geez what is wrong with you?" Rachel turned and sat on the couch to put on her shoes. Richard stayed where he was leaning on the door frame moving his hard glare from Rachel to her backpack. When Rachel put on her shoes, she stoop up excitedly ready for the day, but she noticed Richard staring at her back pack. "My backpack." Rachel said whispering to herself. She moved swiftly and fast and grabbed it. Rachel looked at Richard and she could see daggers in his eyes. She left his stare and threw her backpack in her room. "Are you ready to leave?"

"Ready when you are."

"Good lets leave." Rachel said walking past Richard who still stood in the doorway. The car ride was awkward, Richard knew that Rachel now knew and Rachel knew that Richard knew about her drug problem, but no one was going to say anything. No one wanted to ruin the trip. The awkwardness finally fades away when they reached the boardwalk. Both did what they could to pretend their last minutes at the cabin didn't happen, but they did.

"We both no one what going on, so lets just talk about when we go back home and try to enjoy our time here. Okay?"

"Okay." Rachel nodded not wanting to look at Richard's eyes.

"Hey, look at me." he reached for her chin and tilted her face up. He kissed her on the lips. "I love you, and I'm going to be there for you everyday for the rest of your life, so please stop hiding stuff from me. I want to help you."

"I know." Rachel whispered as a tear went down her cheek. Richard wiped the tear from her cheek. "Richard?"

"Yes."

"I love you too." Richard smiled down at her and kissed her again, and took her hand.

"Come one lets have some fun now."
