Bonus Chapter: I Wish to Thank You on Christmas

Dear Readers,

How are you guys enjoying this Christmas? I hope you are enjoying it as much as me. Shikikan is giving me a present this Christmas. I can't wait to unwrap the gift he will give to me. I went out shopping with Enterprise to find a gift for Oliver. He has treated me so much over the time we have been together. I have gotten him a gold quartz watch this year. I asked the shop to have a message etched in the back of the watch so it can be more personal. How do I afford this? I "borrow" money from the navy. I asked permission of course. They agree of course because of the success of what Oliver did not only to them but the world. I etched this message in the watch knowing someday one will replace him. Someday he might retire or even someday he decides to settle down and have a peaceful life. The thoughts of him leaving me is kinda sad. Every time I think of him leaving me makes my heart ache like it was shattered into a million pieces. Should I confess to Shikikan? Will the ache go away if I did? I'd like to know from you people. If you think I should I would do it during New Year.

I have folded the paper and placed it in an envelope. This should do, I think. I then left it on the table so I could send it later. I went to gaze at the gift I bought for him. I hope he likes it. I went down to the dorms to help the others prepare a party. It was a Christmas party for the whole island. Just hope those tiny, menacing manjuus don't eat everything there. I went to meet up with the others. I was in charge of the surprise, Akashi was in charge of the games and prizes, Enterprise was in charge of being Santa and the exchange gift event. I don't know how that came to be but I won't judge.

This year we plan to surprise Shikikan with a music performance. I will be singing and playing rhythm guitar, Cleveland on the drums, Ayanami on the keyboard, Littorio on bass, last but not least Tirpitz playing the lead guitar. We have been practicing for a few weeks now with some guidance by Nimi and Akashi. (A/N: I kinda shot myself in the foot here because of the music probably not in the era. Forgive me for this inconsistency but due to this I can give a more pleasurable experience.) We will be singing Christmas songs such as Let it Snow by Frank Sinatra. I really hope Shikikan loves our performance. I checked everything to make sure everything is in place. Tomorrow is the big day. I will show him what I can do.

The day came with a blur and it was already sunset. It is quite cold today. Looking back ever since Oliver took charge life was never the same. His enthusiasm is highly infectious. I looked once again back in the sky before closing the balcony and preparing to go to sleep. I'm quite nervous but I will still give it my all. I then closed my eyes and went to sleep.

(Author's Note: Now that you think about it there aren't many pajama skins in the game aside from Long Island and if you count Laffey. I need more skins.)

-knock knock- huh who is there? -knock knock- I went ahead and jumped out of bed and walked to open the door still half asleep. I saw a frantic Enterprise in my doorstep looking like she was gonna die. "What is wrong?" I asked her. "The preparations are ruined and everything is a mess." she said, trying to catch her breath. I turned pale as I heard the terrible news.

I rush to the hall to see what can be and what cannot be salvaged. "How did this happen? I said to Enterprise, who just arrived in the hall. She looked at me and sighed, "The Manjuus passed by and checked it then one trip and the rest is history." Why was the door open? Did I forget to lock it? Shit, I made my own downfall. I fell down to my own knees and cried. What am I gonna do now? The program will start in 3 hours. "I will fix this somehow." I said. "No!" said Enty, "We will fix this together." she continued. We then began to work

We worked for the next three hours non-stop to fix the pandemonium that was caused by the Manjuus. It was almost time and to be honest. It still looks terrible. I started crying again harder and louder this time. I then heard an all too familiar voice. "Are you ok Gangut?" he said. "I am sorry, Shikikan. I tried to make a surprise Christmas party but everything is ruined" I said, still sobbing. He looked at me not with a furious glare but one with sincerity and joy. "No worries. Why don't I help you?" he asked. "Would it be fine?" I asked back. He looked at me and nodded. "Thanks." I said softly.

Together with the entire Azur Lane, we set up the party back to its former glory. Although we delayed it, it was worth it. We had an opening ceremony followed by games and more. It is finally time.

I walked up on stage and grabbed the mic. "This performance is for Shikikan, who has been here with us since the start of Azur Lane. I am really thankful for all that time. We will sing a bunch of songs that we learned over the few weeks." I said. I got the guitar and waited for Cleveland's cue. We enjoyed the rest of the night and even got to laugh at Santa Enty. Safe to say it was pretty fun. Oliver is really a kind guy. I really am thankful. I fell asleep not realizing that I was laying down on Shikikan's lap.

"Sweet dream, Gangut.", I think I heard him say. Best Christmas ever.

Final Remarks: I kinda crammed this on the last day. Although it kinda is rushed I hope it is fine. Thank you guys and have a merry Christmas. Peace out.
