Chapter 96: Gate of Death!
Land of Wind- Fye vs Gai
Gai coughed and spluttered, the surge of chakra spurting and churning inside his body. He grinned weakly and croaked, "You…and…I…are going to die…together!"
All was left was a bit of sand being curled around where he should've been.
"WHAT?!" Fye exclaimed, aghast and disquieted, but he quickly calmed down and thought, 'No need to worry. Susanoo will protect me!'
Gai pitched up in front of Fye's Susanoo. "Sekizo! (Evening Elephant)" Then, he created a vacuum of pressurized air which bears the appearance of an elephant's leg. However, with Gai's fist against Susanoo, which managed enough to knock Fye away along with Susanoo.
Although, Fye was not harmed, he could see a dent on Susanoo's ribs. He managed to stop on the ground on way and shot a glare at Gai. He was really irritated.
'I've never been humiliated to this point before! How can someone like you be stronger than me and give me trouble?! Damn you to hell!' Fye gritted his teeth in irritation.
Enraged, Fye raised his both blades up, in which Susanoo mimicked him and raised its blades up as well.
As soon as the giant black Susanoo pointed both flame blades up to the black clouds. The black clouds were absorbed and turned them into black flames. Sunlight shone on the ground, the blue sky revealing itself. "Kuroi Hono Kogeki! (Black Flame Attack)"
Then, the black Susanoo swung both blades, hurling the black flame towards Gai. "Crumble into nothingness, but an ash! Burn in hell!"
However, Gai disappeared right before the flame hit the sand.
KABOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Fye stared in shock at the massive smoke that erupted from the explosion and snarled – looking for his combatant. "How is this possible?! Susanoo's flames can go between 400 and 800 MPH, and Gai's able to go beyond that speed at this short range?!"
Gai showed up in front of him and gave out a quick punch, which looked like elephant's leg again, to Susanoo's ribs, cracking it.
Fye cursed himself that he allowed Gai to damage yet another Susanoo's ribs. He attempted to deliver another attack, but the taijutsu master prevented him by assaulting him with three more punches that resembled an elephant's leg.
Finally, Gai delivered a final punch to Fye's Susanoo, and it was too strong enough to break through Susanoo, in which he dispelled Susanoo.
'WHAT?! My Susanoo… No one can destroy my Susanoo, but he…' Fye was aghast. Then he realized that Gai's punch did not stop and continued towards him. 'He did not stop! Is he going to destroy every single bone of my body? DAMMIT!'
At last, Gai successfully broke Fye's ribs with his mighty fist. That dealt a critical hit on his ribs. It greatly damaged his ribs, and it even damaged his entire body. He could feel that his spine was broken. Everything in his body was utterly destroyed, thanks to Gai's five combo punches.
Fye spat out blood from his mouth and hissed, the blood splattering on Gai's face. "Damn you to hell!" He gritted his teeth. It was bestrewn with blood. He took too much internal damages. It nearly killed him.
Gai chuckled weakly, "He… He…"
Fye and Gai both fell to the ground afar from each other. The injured Uchiha struggled to move his head, but managed to stare at Gai. "Damn… you! How… Dare… YOU!"
Gai was lying face-down, and leisurely moved his head up to look at his opponent. "You… are not dead… yet?" He groaned, slowly staggering to his feet, but convulsed.
This time, he successfully got up and croaked, "Then… I have to…" He started to limp towards the immobilized Fye. "…Kill you… Fayre…"
'Damn it! A-Am I… Am I really going to die this time?' panicked Fye.
As soon as Gai spotted one of Fayre's blade lying on the ground, he decided to pick it up. Then he limped towards Fayre slowly again, as he held the blade in his right hand and clenched his guts to suppress the injury. Since Gai activated the final gate, his heart still pumped faster and blood was still running out. He knew he was going to die soon, but he had to do it before he breathes his final breath.
'Shit! I can't move anymore!' thought Fye. His mouth twitched into smirk and slowly closed his eyes. 'Looks like I'm going to join you, Niisan. I can't avenge you…'
Flashback Began- Before Third Shinobi World War
Fayre was Chuunin at the age of seven. He was truly a genius, and was able to take the rank of Chuunin at the age of seven. He graduated the academy at the age of six. He first activated his Sharingan at the age of six as well. He was promoted from Genin to Chuunin at the age of seven. He was an amazing genius!
In fact, he was promoted to Chuunin today. He heard that Kakashi was promoted to Jounin today. He disliked Kakashi but he gave an ovation to Kakashi for being promoted to Kakashi at the age of twelve. He was also an amazing.
Anyways, he stood facing Obito, and they would smile at each other. Obito was with his team. He never liked his team because a dead-last was in his team and fangirl in his team. Fangirl would always fawn over Fayre, and dead-last would always put them in danger every mission!
Obito smiled, "I'm going to the war! I have to meet up with Minato-sensei, Kakashi, and Rin-chan. Because I'm going to save the world and I will be the hero! Then I will become Hokage!"
Fayre frowned, with the tears out of his eyes. "Please don't die…"
Obito immediately hugged him. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine. I won't die! I'm not going to die until I become Hokage! I already told Rin-chan that I'm going to be Hokage someday and she's watching over me!"
Fayre looked up at Obito. "Rin? Why do you like her?"
Obito moved back from embrace and puzzled at him. "What?"
"Why do you like her? You said almost as if she cared about you! You said she watched over you, yet she's not! She's always watching over that bastard Kakashi!" asked Fayre with a disappointed look.
Obito was taken aback by Fayre's bold statement. But he recovered and chuckled, as he put his hand on Fayre's hair. "You're only a kid. You wouldn't understand a thing about love. One day… You will understand once you find a love. Besides, you better go prepare for the war."
Fayre then smiled and nodded, "Right..." Obito and he would stare at each other for a while. "Umm… Fayre, do you know you're late for the meeting?"
Obito widened his eyes and grabbed his own hair in panic. "OH, SHIT! I AM GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE MEETING! BYE, FAYRE!" With that, he hurried on way to the meeting with Minato, Kakashi and Rin.
Fayre smiled. 'I will make sure that you become Hokage! I will make sure!'
After Third Shinobi World War
Fayre and his teammates approached the gate of Konoha together. They were saddened, for their Sensei had died protecting them from Iwagakure Shinobi.
His Sensei died because of his useless idiotic teammate that rushed into the battlefield without any second thought. Fayre had to jump to save the idiot, and then the idiot and he had to fight them. He hated how useless his teammate – the fangirl watched the battle between them, instead of joining the battle! He hated the teammate. He considered the transfer. Anyways, while the idiot and he fought them, one of Iwagakure Shinobi almost killed them, but their Sensei sacrificed his life by defending them.
Witnessing the death of the shinobi, Fye seethed with rage, and killed the entire Iwagakure Shinobi with the famous Uchiha technique, Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu!.
He cursed them for their uselessness, but at least the war was over.
As soon as they entered the gate of Konoha, they saw Minato-sensei and Kakashi. No Obito or Rin. He wondered why Obito was not there. He hoped Obito did not die at all, so he had to ask Minato-sensei.
"W-Where's niisan?" asked Fayre. He hoped that Obito would be fine somewhere. He did not want Obito to die after all.
But… the response shocked Fayre the most.
"Sorry, Niisan. He died…" replied Minato.
Fayre widened his eyes in shock. 'No way! He… He died? NO! It can't be possible!'
"And Rin died too… I'm so sorry.' Minato commented again.
He didn't care about Rin! Obito was all he cared about! His most precious person to him in the whole world was Obito and his older brother just had to die! 'WHY?!'
Fayre carefully examined Kakashi, and what he noticed was that Kakashi possessed the Sharingan in his left eye. He was bewildered. Why Kakashi would have the Sharingan?
'Kakashi isn't an Uchiha! Why does he have the Sharingan?!' Fayre clenched his fists and growled under his breath. 'WHY?!'
Suddenly, realization dawned on him. 'That's it! That's Obito's Sharingan! It has to be! Obito probably activated the Sharingan for first time, and Kakashi killed him so he could steal his Sharingan for his own benefit! It has to be!'
He clenched his fists tighter and started to boil with rage. He began to imagine a what-if scenario in his mind.
What-If Scenario
Kakashi widened his eyes in shock. 'His eye…' What he saw was that Obito finally activated the Sharingan for the first time.
Obito smirked. "At last! I activated it!" He glared at the bunch of Iwagakure Shinobi, and weaved the seals. Then he huffed his breathe before releasing the giant fireball from his mouth towards them. "Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu!"
The great fireball engulfed all Iwagakure Shinobi.
Obito gave stunned Kakashi a thumb-up and grinned.
"Your Sharingan!" shocked Kakashi.
"Huh? I activated Sharingan just now? So that means I'm closer to surpass you! See? I told you! I did it!" excited Obito.
Kakashi saw an Iwagakure shinobi that sneaked up behind Obito and shouted, "Watch out!"
Just before Iwagakure shinobi could assassinate him, Obito suddenly ducked his head down and slit his throat with the kunai, killing him in the process.
"Don't underestimate an Uchiha!" boasted Obito. With that, he turned around and approached injured Kakashi. "I did it!" He extended his hand to Kakashi who grabbed it and got up.
However, Kakashi stabbed the kunai into Obito's guts. He chuckled evilly, "There's no way you're going to surpass me!" Then he pinned Obito against the tree.
"K-Kakashi?" stammered Obito, perplexed.
"Hehe… Your Sharingan will be mine!" laughed Kakashi sadistically. He reached his hand for Obito's Sharingan.
"NO! NO! NO!" screamed Obito. He screamed all the way to heaven.
Back to Reality
Fayre finally lost his temper and snarled, "YOU KILLED MY BROTHER! YOU BASTARD!" He then activated his Sharingan eyes and charged towards Kakashi as he picked up a kunai from his pouch.
Kakashi did not move at all and still remained stood, frowning.
Fayre thrust the kunai towards Kakashi, and aimed for the head. Before he could touch Kakashi, Minato pinned him down to the ground and strangled his arms together.
"LET ME GO! He killed my brother and took his Sharingan away!" screamed Fayre.
"Enough, Fayre!" demanded Minato. "Kakashi never killed Obito."
"THEN HOW?!"
"A ginormous rock fell on him and crushed the side of his head. Kakashi and Rin could not save him because they were not strong enough to lift it."
"THEN THEY LEFT OBITO TO DIE?!"
"Stop it! Don't let your rage blind you!" Minato insisted sternly.
"It's all of my fault." Fayre could hear that Kakashi muttered under his breathe.
Fayre did shut up, but he did not stop to let rage blind him. He allowed the rage to consume him, as he glared up at Kakashi. 'I don't care what anyone says to me. I know you're the one who killed Obito! One day… One day… I swear it one day! I'm going to kill you and avenge Obito! NO MATTER WHAT!'
Flashback Ended
Fye then opened his eyes again and saw young Obito who walked towards him. "Niisan…" He closed his eyes and reopened it, realizing that it was only a hallucination, because it was actually Gai. He was still limping very slowly towards Fye with the katana.
'That's right. I did say that I would kill Kakashi and avenge Obito! I also did say I wouldn't die until I achieve my ambition.' Fye reminded himself.
Gai was groaning as he was limping towards the bruised and battered Fye. Suddenly, he felt that his body was starting to burn, and fell. He pushed up and groaned in pain.
'Damn it! It's starting already? I can't die yet… not till…' Gai grunted, and used the katana as his support to get up. He remembered how he first heard about Lee and first met him, and how he spent time with Lee together, and how he witnessed Lee's battle.
Flashback Began
"Come on, do your best, guys! I'm going to add an additional 200 laps!" Young Lee shouted enthusiastically.
"Are you stupid? You can't become a ninja!" one of kids mocked him whilst running around the laps together.
Lee frowned. "I can!"
"A guy who can't use ninjutsu can't become a ninja," A kid in a blue shirt behind him said.
"I can!"
"Actually, it makes no sense why a guy like you is in the ninja academy…" A kid in white shirt with a red circle in front of him said bluntly, scoffing, "…when you can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu and possess below average taijutsu."
"Do you know what you're called around here?" The kid in blue shirt asked.
Lee knew what it was coming and put his hand on his ears, as the trio kids shouted very loudly, "Hot-blooded!" Every kids repeated few times, in which it led Lee to run away very upset.
"Hey, Lee, get in line!" demanded the Academy sensei. "Hey, Lee!"
Inside the building, Kakashi leaned against the wall, folding his arms, and Gai watched Lee running away. Gai smiled, "Is that the rumored hot-blooded dropout?"
Kakashi nodded at Gai. "He resembles someone, doesn't he?" Gai looked at him, and he shrugged. "Especially his eyebrows…"
'Rock Lee… A guy who can only use below average taijutsu, eh?' Gai smiled.
Later
"369, 397, 398, 399, 400. 401, 402, 403…If I can't finish kicking this log 500 times…I'll have to do 1,000 squats!" Lee repeatedly kicked the log, and a bark of tree had already ripped off. "413, 414, 415, 416…"
Gai wandered through the forest, only to find that Lee was still kicking the log.
"417, 418, 419, 420…"
"Someone was here before me." Gai muttered to himself.
"421, 422, 423, 424…"
Gai hid behind a tree and watched Lee kicking the log.
"425, 426, 427…"
Gai sighed, 'I guess I'll come back later.' With that, he left the area.
Later on, Lee would squat up and down. "1,000 squats! If I can't do them, I'll have to do 2,000 punches! 795, 796, 797, 798…" He already wore off and panted heavily, but he would've to endure it and still squat up and down.
Later that night, Gai come back, but Lee was still there, so he had to hide inside a bush, watching him intently. . He was baffled to witness Lee's endurance. 'He's still at it?'
Lee repeatedly punched the log, and it was already dented. '2,000 punches! If I can't do them, then I'll have to skip 2,000 times!'
The thing that further enhanced Gai's confusion was Lee's blood bestrewn bare hands.
After A While
At the roof of Ninja Academy, 12-years old Lee, Neji, and Tenten with their hitai-ate on would sit on the bench, as Gai would stand against the pillar. "Okay, you three are now promoted to Genins today. I want to hear what your goals are."
Tenten was already pumped up. "Me! Me! Me! Me! Me!"
Gai smiled, "Okay, Tenten."
"I want to become a really strong ninja like Tsunade-sama, the legendary female ninja." Tenten declared.
Gai nodded and looked at Neji. "What about you, Neji?"
Neji leaned his arm on the bench and sighed. "I don't want to answer."
Suddenly, Lee raised his hand. "Me! Me! Even if I can't use ninjutsu and genjutsu… I want to prove that I can still become an excellent ninja! That's everything to me!"
Gai smiled at Lee. 'He has nice eyes.'
Neji scoffed.
Lee quickly got up and pointed at Neji, scowling. "What's funny, you! I'm serious! Even if I can only use taijutsu, I will carry out my job as a ninja!"
Later
Lee landed on the forest ground and tried to run, but Neji got in the way and began attacking him with his gentle fist. Lee successfully dodged Neji's gentle fist several times. However, Neji managed to land a hit on him, and delivered a flurry of gentle fists to him, knocking him down onto the ground.
Lee's arms felt numb, and he struggled to push up hard. "Not yet… I'm not done yet…"
"Lee…" Tenten sighed. "You really don't get it, do you? You can't beat him. Neji is a genius, unlike you."
Lee glanced over his shoulder at Neji and frowned. "A genius? What is a genius? Even if I have no talent, I will surpass a genius with hard work! That's everything to me! That is my way of the ninja!"
"It's useless, Lee." Neji snorted. "No matter how much you try, you can't defeat me. This has already been decided."
"That's not true!" Lee shouted back. "That's not…" He could not say anything anymore. He was disappointed in himself. He knew it was not going to knock some sense into Neji anytime soon.
Flashback Ended
Gai still limped towards Fayre with the support of katana, almost as if it was cane. 'But you never gave up. That is because you kept working hard, Lee.'
Flashback Began
Late in the afternoon, Lee was skipping using a rope, and he seemed to do the exercise every day, according to his panting and sweating. "If I can't jump rope 1,200 times in a row, I'll have to kick a log 2,000 times. 1,116, 1,117, 1,118…"
Suddenly, Lee accidentally tripped over the rope and hit his head pretty hard on the log. Luckily, Lee still had consciousness. A tear came out of his eyes as he sniffed and groaned in pain.
"Lee, are you taking a break already?" Gai asked, jumping behind him. He was smiling at Lee, like he was proud of him already.
Lee stood up, and wiped his tears off as he cleaned the dirt off his clothes. "Gai-sensei, what do you want?" With that, he began kicking the log, because he failed to accomplish 1,200 jump rope times in a row. "If you want to talk to me about my failure in the last mission…I have apologized to you already."
"Lee, it is true that you are different than Neji. You cannot use ninjutsu or genjutsu, nor are you a genius in taijutsu." Then he smiled even more. "But, Lee… You are a genius that has the power and potential to exceed Neji."
"If you're trying to make me feel better out of pity, please stop." Lee sounded pretty displeased.
Gai chuckled, "No, I'm not saying this out of pity at all. Because you are…" Lee stopped kicking the log and began to listen to Gai. "A genius of hard work."
Lee widened his eyes in shock and softly hugged the log. "Is that really true?"
He began to weep. "I have come to this point believing that… If I train two or three times more than Neji, I can become stronger. But recently I started to think that maybe I can't match up with a real genius… Wondering if hard work really pays off… I wanted to find out, and I challenged Neji to a fight many times, but the outcome has always been the same. I am no match for him at all! Even during missions… my legs still shake. I think that no matter how much I try, I can't become any stronger. I'm scared of that… What should I do…?"
"There is no point in working hard if you do not believe in yourself." Gai said with a disappoint tone.
Later that night, Gai and Lee would sit on a boulder next to each other, watching the lake. "Lee, you are very similar to me," said Gai.
"The eyebrows?" asked Lee.
"No, it's not only the eyebrows. To be honest, I was a dropout when I was young, too," admitted Gai.
Lee looked in shock at Gai. "You?"
Gai smiled. "But now, I am in the lead in my matches against the elite genius, Kakashi." He then grinned proudly. "It's because I worked hard. Even if you can't use ninjutsu and genjutsu, you want to prove that you can still become an excellent ninja, right? That's what your way of the ninja is. It's a good goal. IT's a good goal worth working hard for."
Lee sniffed.
"So all you have to do is believe in your path, and run through it." Gai looked up at stars in the sky. "Become a strong man so that I can smile proudly when I watch you." He patted on Lee's hair. "Got that, Lee?"
Lee nodded and said, "Yes, sir!"
Flashback Ended
Gai panted heavily, as he continued to limp towards immobilize Fayre.
'I'm so proud of you, Lee! Thanks to you, you've become a strong, and I'm able to smile proudly when I watch you. You were able to beat Sasuke, the rookie of the year, with your hard work back then. You easily defeated Choji at the preliminary. Even though you lost to Gaara… you decked him pretty hard. I was so happy I found you! All the times you and I have spent together… I couldn't be more than happy to thank you! Please… don't lose your Springtime of Youth! Keep training, Lee!'
He was limping closer and closer to Fayre. 'To me… You've already surpassed Neji!'
Then Gai turned the katana down and pointed the edge of the blade at Fayre, and pulled it up. "Sorry, Fayre. As I said before, I have no choice but to kill you."
Fayre widened his eyes. You could see that there were red veins in his eyes. It looked like he was in panic mode right now.
Gai was ready to kill him. He was going to kill him with his own katana. He did not want to kill him, but he had no choice. Fayre had gone insane! As long as Obito's dead, there was no way to knock some sense into Fayre. That's why he had to kill him. He had no choice!
Just right before he was about to stab Fayre to death, another katana suddenly pierced through Gai's chest, opening the gap in the hole. Gai stopped thrusting the katana as he stared at his own chest in shock. He dropped the katana to the ground and staggered backward, but managed to stay on his feet. He glanced behind him and there was no one behind him. He wondered how the katana got to him.
Gai did not understand why. There Fayre was immobilized on the ground. He heard the laughing and it was coming from Fayre. He looked back at Fayre who was still injured on the ground.
HOW?! No one was holding the katana, yet it somehow pierced him through the chest! Finally, Gai realized it. 'Unless…'
Fye continued to laugh at Gai. "Hehe… Y-You fool…! Despite me being immobilize right now… I still have my eyes… you idiot… I have Mangekyo Sharingan! It's—" He coughed up another blood. "It's a technique that I can control weapons, even if I'm being immobilized. Once I contacted any weapon with my eyes, I can manipulate it within my mind as long as I already contacted it with my eyes…. Think back… When you fell while walking to me, I already contacted the katana behind you before you got up! I already won the moment I made a contact with the katana… What's more… You're dead… while I'm still alive… Heh!"
It was finally time for Gai now. He could no longer see Fye, as his sights faded into dark. He could no longer feel his body. He could no longer feel the pain. He could no longer feel everything. Only remain is his thought. He was sure he was lying on the ground right now. He knew he was going to die in a second. He felt nothing. No pain at all… No feeling at all… All his thoughts were that matter right for a second, at least. 'Goodbye… Lee…' Now, his thoughts are finally disappear. He breathed his final breathe, as his heart beats its final beat.
Fye watched Gai until his death. He merely laughed at Gai's foolish move. "It's you who died… not me… I am still alive… Haha!"
But every time he talked, he coughed more, and blood would come out of his mouth. He realized he needed to stop talking, or it would hasten his death. He needed to stay alive. Coola needed him to stay alive. He needed to avenge Obito.
'What will you do…? You had no brother, so I've killied your best friend, just as you've killed my brother… You're next, Kakashi! Haha!' He laughed, and laughed, and laughed till he fell down, unconscious.
Land of River- With Lee and Tenten
Lee was carrying Tenten as a piggyback, and was running on his way to the Land of Fire. They'd just entered the Land of River like five minutes ago. He would go even further, but he had a bad feeling so he decided to stop and turned around to stare at the distance where they left Gai to fight Fayre.
"Gai-sensei…"
He somehow had a feeling about Gai. He did not know why, but he began to worry about his Sensei. He knew Gai was really strong, but yet he had a bad feeling about that.
"Lee! What's wrong?" asked Tenten, who was still on his back.
"I have to go back!"
"What?"
"I have to go back! I think Gai-sensei is in danger right now. I have to go back and help him," said Lee.
"Wait!" Tenten cried. She looked rather worried. "We can't go back!"
"I have to! Gai-sensei is in danger right now! If I am not going there…" Lee started to sniff, as the tears came out of his eyes. "…Then it would be un-youthful for me!"
Tenten frowned. She always knew Lee since Team Gai was first formed. He was known to look up to Gai for a long time. That's why he wanted to save him now. But this time was not the time.
"No…" Tenten denied. "We can't die… just yet. Remember what Gai told us back there?"
Lee frowned. He also remembered what Gai told them back there.
Flashback Began
"You guys can't die. Please report what just happened here to Hokage-sama. I will stop him," explained Gai.
Lee frowned, "B-But…"
"Lee…" Gai grinned over his shoulder at Lee, and gave him a 'nice guy' pose. "Don't worry about me! It's still springtime of youth for us… especially you! So don't worry about me! You both just can't die… not yet! Just go!'
Flashback Ended
Tenten still stared at Lee's sad face. She knew he was very concerned about Gai. By the look of Fayre's strength, she somehow had a feeling that Gai was going to die also. But she knew that Gai asked them to leave, so he could sacrifice his life, trying to stop that Fayre guy.
She sighed. "He didn't ask us to leave, so he could give up his life in vain, because we came back, only to die. He asked us to leave, so he could sacrifice his life to protect us, and also try to stop that Fayre guy."
Lee was too stubborn to listen to her and bared his teeth in sorrow. "But—!"
"Do you want him to die in vain, idiot?!" Tenten scowled.
Lee widened his eyes in shock. He finally realized it. He finally realized that Tenten was right. If they were to come back there, they would die, thus making Gai's dying in vain. That is, if Gai were to die right now. For some reason, he had a hunch that Gai might die just now.
Tenten sighed. She knew she just had to wake him up. There was no going back. They had to report no matter what. Gai ordered them, and she understood his intention. Lee was as oblivious as always. That was just like him after all.
"Lee-kun… I've heard from the messenger this earlier morning." Tenten cleared her throat, and was anxious to tell this to him. He glanced over his shoulder at her, waiting for the response. He looked so eager to hear from her. "Team 7 recently have returned two weeks ago."
It was like he'd been slapped in the face. "What? You mean Naruto-kun, Sasuke-kun, and Sakura-san have returned?" he said incredulously, astounded.
Tenten nodded, "Yes. They have returned. Not only that, they've also told the Hokage that there are some magical called the Dragon Balls, which can grant any wish you desire. So, that means we can revive the dead."
"Is that true?!" asked Lee in shock.
She gave out a heavy sigh. "I don't know if that's true. That's why we have to go back to Konoha and report what happened and find out if Dragon Balls are true. If that's true, and if Gai died, we can bring him back to life."
"Then…" Lee realized. "That means we can also bring Neji back to life!"
Tenten smiled. "That's right! Only if that's so true!"
Lee pumped his fist up and shouted excitedly, "YOSH! THANKS TO YOU, TENTEN, I GOT MY HOPE UP! I SHALL CARRY YOU ALL THE WAY TO KONOHA WITHOUT ANY BREAK! THEREFORE, I WILL GO THERE AT FULL SPEED BEFORE MIDNIGHT!"
Tenten sweated nervously. She knew what he was planning to do. She widened her eyes comically. "WAIT—!" Before she could say any furthermore, Lee immediately sprung at full speed onward Konohagakure.
"AHHHHHH!" Tenten screamed all the way to heaven. Poor her. She would have to deal with it for almost 15 hours at the distance between Land of River and Konohagakure. Right now, it was still between 8 or 9 in the morning. Lee had to have monster stamina to be able to run at full speed for 15 hours!
After all, Lee still inherited "Springtime of Youth"!
Mt. Myoboku- Naruko vs Guure
On mid-air, Naruko panted heavily and glared at Guure. It was very frustrating for her to start with. She barely touched Guure! He casually swatted her like she was a toy or something. That really pissed her off! How could a henchman like him be so strong? She'd taken some thrashing. Luckily, she was getting healed faster because of Kyuubi inside her.
She growled. "Dammit!" She charged towards him, and threw right hook at Guure, who ducked down easily. "W-Why, you!"
Then she roundhouse kicked at his face, but he also blocked it. She hissed, as she teleported by his side before throwing a straight punch at his face. However, that was also futile, since he caught her hand with ease, and let it out after.
No matter how many times she tried to land a hit on him, he would just either dodge or block. It was really frustrating for her to do that. She glared at him. She hated his guts. She wanted to hit him so badly, but he would not let her! She was already pissed off. She thought he was always weakling, but she was very wrong!
"You bastard!" Naruko screamed before charging at him and delivered a barrage of punches and kicks at him, who was constantly evading and blocking his attacks.
While Guure was dodging or blocking, he remained stoic calm and said, "Two minutes left… Don't you have anything better to do besides doing this pointless action? You're useless."
Naruto said nothing, except snarling at him. She raised her hands and clasped her fingers together, forming the double axe-handle. Before she could do anything, Guure kneed her in the stomach, doubling her over. She groaned in pain as she immediately moved away from him.
As soon as she moved her head up, Guure suddenly appeared in front of her and punched her further away into the sky. Then, he appeared above her and dropkicked her on her stomach, knocking her away back to the ground.
"Dammit!" That was all Naruko could say. However, before she could land a fall, she could feel that something just tangled around her ankle and dragged her to Guure, only to find that his tongue was tangling around her ankle. "Get off, you bastard!"
"1 minute and 30 seconds left…" Guure reminded her again. "If you're not going to do something useful, consider this a warning." He delivered another hard punch to the face, drawing blood from her forehead.
She glowered at him as she clenched her fists. "You bastard! Do you think I care what you think about me?!" However, it was only to be punched in the guts by Guure. She gritted her teeth in pain.
"That's another warning. I know you're not weak." Guure simply said. "Come and show me what you're really capable of, Naruto."
"How many times do I have to tell you I'm not Naruto?! I'm Naruko, dammit!" scowled Naruko. She somehow managed to kick the tongue away to free her. With that, she glared at him and crossed her fingers. "Taju Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"
Suddenly, a massive shadow clones were surrounding Guure from anywhere! Jiraiya, and toads dropped their jaws in speechless. They could not believe what they were seeing. There was like billions of Narukos! They knew Naruto/Naruko had an amazing chakra reversed, but they never knew that s/he could perform billions of Narukos!
However, Guure was not baffled at all. He was very calm, and scoured around him at Narukos. He was concerned after all. There was no way to get out of this situation. But he was not really panicking. He already knew how to defend himself from this many people. He had dealt with billions of people that came at him at once before on different planet.
Despite the current situation, he still announced the countdown. "1 minute left..."
Naruko punched into her palm and grinned, "You can announce the countdown all you want to, but this is over! I'm going to destroy you right now! You better be prepared for it, datteboya!"
All of them started to charge up the Ki in their hands. Guure was not even afraid. He would just watch them as they were charging up the Ki in their hand. He sighed, shaking his head at Naruko's struggling.
Then they thrust their hands forward, as they fired the blast at Guure, causing a medium explosion.
Kaboom!
Naruko grinned at the medium dust that kicked up surrounding him. "All right! Let's do this!"
With that, they rapidly fired a barrage of Ki blast from everywhere at Guure, causing multiple explosion.
KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOM!
They continued to fire the barrage of Ki blast at him non-stop, and kicked up the dust as well. The dust became larger and larger every time Ki blast was thrown at Guure.
KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOM!
While Naruto continued to throw more Ki blasts, Jiraiya and others were watching on. They were still at disbelief when Naruto was able to create billion clones. They assumed he could produce a hundred clones, but they shocked that Naruto was able to produce billion clones.
Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom!
Narukos threw some more Ki blasts at the dome of massive explosion. She and all other clones hyperventilated, as they raised their hands up together. They formed an energy sphere, as they were growing bigger and bigger. Energy spheres turned yellow and blue back and forth.
Then they screamed before hurling energy spheres towards Guure. Once it was inserted into the dome of massive explosion, then dome of massive explosion expanded even more!
KABOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Not only that dome of massive explosion expanded bigger, it also caused an earthquake, as winds blew even stronger! Trees were cut off and fell down to the ground. River was flowing faster, as the wave came over the land. Rocks crumbled, as they flew away anywhere!
Luckily, Gamabunta, the Chief Toad, sheltered Jiraiya, Fukasaku, Shima, and Gamakichi to prevent them from being knocked aside from the strong wind with his giant hands.
"That's how they fight?" asked a stunned Jiraiya.
"Pretty much, yes," replied Fukasaku.
"This kid just got a lot stronger, isn't he?" Shima smiled proudly.
"It's shame that he never summoned me," scowled Gamabunta.
"Naruto is so cool!" exclaimed Gamakichi.
Narukos already dispelled thanks to being caught in the explosion. She lowered herself to land on the ground, so she could save Ki energy for a little bit. Not to mention she wasted a lot of Chakra because she produced too many clones. It took almost all of her Chakra.
She smirked. "How's that?" She was hoping that it already got him.
However, it was unfortunate for her because as soon as the massive dust cleared, Guure was still alive!
"What?!' cried Naruko.
Apparently, Guure was using Ki shield to protect himself from the Ki blasts, including massive explosion. He stared down at stunned Naruko.
"Dammit!" growled Naruko. Jiraiya and others were surprised that Guure was able to defend himself with Ki shield from so many Ki blasts.
Suddenly, Guure vanished!
"He disappeared?!" shocked Naruko.
Then he appeared out of nowhere and grabbed her neck, as he lifted her up and glared at her. "30 seconds left…"
"Arghh…." Naruko was choking, as she struggled to get it off. She tried to kick around, but it was in vain.
While Guure continued to choke her, Naruko suddenly puffed in smoke, and he thought that was a clone, but instead, Naruko turned back to her regular form! Naruto was back!
Jiraiya gulped, "Oh, crap!"
Guure narrowed his eyes and glared at Naruto. "I was right after all. I knew it all along… that you're Naruto."
'Shit!' thought Naruto.
"Do you honestly think I'm that stupid? Did you think I would have believed that you're Naruko? While I was at my full power, you were holding back your power. You've disappointed me," ranted Guure angrily.
A statement Guure had made truly shocked Jiraiya and others. Jiraiya clenched his fists as he raised it at Naruto and shouted. "YOU IDIOT! You're getting cocky, aren't you?!"
Guure strangled Naruto very tighter, which made the blonde ninja to gag more. "Not only that I hate liar, I also hate a fool like you. You're playing with me, even though you claimed you could beat me in less than five minutes, you would not mind to play with your enemy, do you? You pretended that you're weaker than me, so you could manipulate my feelings, and I would be so proud that I'm more powerful! You choose to suppress your power instead of going full power. Had you went full power, you would have destroyed me faster.
"However, if it wasn't for Coola's order, and you did not go full power, I would have destroyed you in an instant. Your strategy was to make me think you're weaker and buy some time so I could be such a foolish to believe that you're indeed weak. When time is about to run out, you suddenly power up to full power and destroy me. That's your strategy, isn't that right?"
Naruto stared deeply at Guure for a while. Then his mouth turned into arrogant grin.
Guure held back his frustration, and somehow managed to keep himself calm. "15 seconds left…"
"That's right!" Naruto grinned. "That's my strategy, datteboya!" Suddenly, he powered up, which forced Guure to hand off of him.
Guure drifted his foot on the ground to stop himself and looked up. Naruto already powered up, and spiked up the blue aura around him.
"10 seconds left… Do you think you can kill me before it's up? Time is ticking, Naruto," warned Guure.
Naruto grinned. "Sure thing!"
At the blink of an eye, Naruto appeared in front of Guure and delivered a hard kick to the guts, as Guure's eyes bugled out. Then, he kicked the frog-man square in the jaws, sending him flying away into the sky.
Despite Guure being knocked aside like a rag doll, he managed to form a mouth on Naruto. "5 seconds left…"
Naruto soared above him. "Shut up!" He scowled before punching straight to Guure's face harder. That really did hurt him so badly, but he was able to endure the pain. Regardless, that punch still sent Guure back down onto the ground.
Guure muttered, "4 second left…" He groaned as he began to charge up some odd red glowing energy in his right hand. Even Jiraiya and Fukasaku noticed that.
'W-What's that glowing thing?' wondered Jiraiya.
Naruto scoffed down at Guure, as he was still floating above the sky. 'All right… It's time for me to use my new technique and destroy him! Ki-Chakra combination technique!'
Naruto gripped his right arm with his left hand and pointed it down at Guure. "Orenji Kagayaki! (Orange Sparkle)" He actually created both Chakra and Ki into one attack! A flame of orange sphere, in which looked like firework, glowed inside his right hand. He was not flinched by flame or electricity either. He glued his eyes at Guure all the way.
Since the orange sparkle was too heavy, he had to use his left hand to lift his right arm up. "Here goes!"
"One second…" said Guure, still lying on the ground, as he still charged up the red glowing thingy.
With that said, he suddenly zoomed towards Guure at sonic speed. Jiraiya and toads could not see him at all. In their eyes, he was like invisible to him at the moment.
Guure could barely see Naruto zooming towards him at sonic speed. He was going to point the red glowing in his hand at Naruto, but he decided to against it and dispelled it.
With a second left, Naruto appeared next to Guure and thrust the orange spark in his right hand at Guure. 'With this technique, it should kill him in an instant, no matter how powerful he is! What's more, I can use it against Coola even if he's more powerful than I am!'
Jiraiya witnessed that Naruto was thrusting it at the enemy. 'You really achieved Ki-Chakra combination in less than a month. From what I've heard, Minato achieved Ki-Chakra combination in five years! You did it!' He was truly proud of Naruto.
'I see… By the look of his technique, it looks new and well-executed technique. That must mean this is his first time to use that type of technique. Sorry, but…' thought Guure.
Naruto screamed before slamming the orange sparkle onto Guure's chest, causing a massive explosion.
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Guure's body was completely destroyed!
Orange dome of explosion expanded bigger and bigger. It was truly tremendous Jiraiya and others ever witnessed! Not only that it caused massive explosion, it also caused tremendous fireworks that Jiraiya and others have witnessed! Fireworks were very beautiful. Despite the sky being bright, fireworks were more visible because it was very dark.
"Amazing!" amazed Jiraiya. Shima and other toads were also speechless.
Though, Fukasaku was amazed at Naruto's new technique, but he looked rather thoughtful. 'What's that red glowing thingy? Why did he dispel it and let Naruto to take over him?' He anticipated for a while, but suddenly, he finally realized it. 'T-That's it!'
Of course, when massive smoke finally went gone, Naruto would just walk over to them and grinned cheerfully. "I did it! I finally used Ki-Chakra combination technique! It took a lot of chakra and Ki from me! I'm so exhausted!" He stumbled back and fell, but instead on his butt. He gave Jiraiya a thumb-up and winked at him.
Jiraiya returned the thumb-up as well and smiled. "You did it… You just killed him."
"Yeah! Datteboya!" cheered Naruto.
"Heh… Perhaps I should make you some foods," said Shima, as she walked back to home.
Naruto and Jiraiya sweatdropped and gulped nervously. They did not want to eat some disgusting foods!
"No…" Naruto and Jiraiya glanced around at Fukasaku in confusion. Fukasaku sighed. "Guure is not dead."
"WHAT?!" shocked Naruto and Jiraiya.
"No way! I could swear I just killed Guure!" exclaimed Naruto, waving his hands over angrily.
"That's what I thought, too." Fukasaku sighed. "But the guy you fought entire time was Medas."
"What's Medas?" asked Naruto.
"Medas is a clone technique that can only be executed by Froggers." Fukasaku began. "Froggers have the ability to release any size of clones of themselves. However, once they executed Medas, those clones have new technique which can exhaust the opponent's energy. Not only that they have new technique, it also have a side-effect. Like every cloning technique, Ki was divided for each clone they created. For example, if he created one clone, it would be divided by two. If he created two clones, it would be divided by three."
"WAIT A MINUTE! Guure said it himself that he's using a full power right now. Does that mean…?" interrupted Naruto.
Fukasaku nodded. "Yes, that means that clone was using a full power, which was divided by the original's power. In other words, that Medas you were fighting whole times was using of half-power."
"That means he's provoking you to use your full power on him, plus he had you to think that you're closer to Coola's level since you thought you had surpass his henchmen," said Gamakichi.
"Also… earlier, when you used your Ki-Chakra combination… I noticed that Guure's hand glowing red thingy, but he decided to against it. Do you know what that means?" asked Fukasaku.
Naruto shook his head in response.
"That technique was very lethal. Supposedly, he would use this technique against you, and you will die…"
Naruto widened his eyes in shock.
"You just went reckless and he predicted every single of your move in the end after all. Since he was ordered not to kill you, he decided not to perform that technique against you. He allowed you to destroy his Medas. He allowed you to kill him, so you could claim that you've won. But in reality, you've lost," finished Fukasaku.
Now, Fukasaku's word stunned Naruto even more. Naruto never was been humiliated before, and it frustrated him that Guure made a fool out of him. Well, he should have learned his lesson when he first fought Freeza with his new Sennin Modo. But he did not and chose to play with Guure at his half power.
Jiraiya placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder and sighed. "Naruto… I told you not to show off too much. Don't get too cocky next time, all right?"
Naruto looked down at the ground and frowned.
Jiraiya gawked up at the clouds in the sky. "Just like Guure say… You're predictable now."
With Guure- Somewhere
Guure stood behind a frog statue and opened his eyes, sighing. 'You've lost, Naruto. Only if you weren't blind enough to charge at me on front assault, you would have won. Besides, if I used that technique against you, you would have died in an instant. In the end, you're predictable Naruto.'
With that said, Guure disappeared out of trace.
With Fye
Guure teleported next to Fye and stared down at him with no expression whatsoever. "There's no excuse for you to be beaten up like this. Therefore, it's your time to die right here and now."
He raised his fist up and charged up the Ki around his fist. He glared down at the unconscious Fye. "This is my chance to kill you. I know what you were planning since day one. Die!"
With that, he lunged his right fist down at Fye, but only to be blocked by someone with a large basket. "What?!" He took a good look at the defender and it was Paradox.
Paradox shot him a glare and snarled, "You bastard! What are you going to do to this harmless guy?!" Then he bashed Guure away with the large basket.
Guure immediately stopped his feet away from falling and simply looked at Paradox, emotionless. He looked around, only to find that Coola was standing not too far away. He wondered if the battle with Sunagakure was over. Also, it seemed that Coola simply watched them arguing and did not intend to intervene into their argument. That would mean he allowed it.
"Why did you stop me? Why did you save him?" wondered Guure. "He's the weakest link in this group. Why do you insist to save him?"
Paradox placed the basket on the ground and snarled, "That's because he's my friend!"
"You considered him a friend?" Guure asked, surprised, but immediately returned to his emotionless state. "Interesting. Despite argument you got in with him every day, you still claim him to be your friend? Are you aware of his conspiracy against Coola-sama? Are you also aware that Fye's hiding the fact that he knew where Naruto lived?"
"No! Fye would never do such!" scowled Paradox. "Where did you get that idea that Fye's planning to conspire a thing against Coola? And… How can you tell if Fye's hiding from us?!"
"Does that matter? I can tell that by just looking at him. Besides, what's inside the basket?" asked Guure.
Paradox hated Guure's guts! What's more, he hated how Guure chose to change the subject. He scowled, "That's Gaara inside the basket! We're boosting the Ki in him, thanks to Fye's experiment! But that's not the point! Don't change the subject! If you KILL my friend, I will KILL you! I don't care what you think about him, as long as you have no evidence!"
Paradox swore that he just saw something he did not like. Guure finally showed his evil smirk for the very first time!
Kilometer away from Sunagakure
This battlefield was filled with a lot of corpse and it seemed that there was no survivor. Wait! There was one survivor who was crawling on the ground.
It was Temari! She was crawling towards Kankuro's corpse.
Her tears leaked from her eyes. She could not believe what she had witnessed today! She had witnessed that Suna nin was wiped by Paradox with no problem at all! Paradox played with them too much and killed one by one. She also witnessed her Father, Sandaime Kazekage's death before her eyes. When it went out of control, every Suna nin would charge at Paradox for the revenge, but he killed them in an instant. At least until Coola's done with Gaara. There were only few survivors that time. They were shocked to discover that Gaara choose to join Coola's forces!
Flashback Began
"WHAT?! What did you say, Gaara?!" shocked Kankuro angrily.
"Shut up!" Gaara scowled.
Kankuro was taken aback by his brother's comment. He was always afraid of his brother, because of the monster inside him. He remembered when he was young, his brother transformed into the monster form and killed his best friend. That's why he never liked Gaara since that day!
"I will join your forces for only two reasons. One; I want to kill Hinata for humiliating me, and two; Mother wants to kill the Kyuubi that possessed in Naruto. However… On one condition..."
Coola folded his arms and smirked. "Oh, what is it?"
"Leave that blonde girl with the fan out of this. I don't care if you kill my brother or everyone, but don't kill my sister," said Gaara coldly.
Kankuro and Temair were shocked that Gaara would betray them. Now they were shocked that Gaara did not care about his brother, but he would care about his sister!
"YOU MONSTER!" Kankuro screamed angrily. "Not only you betrayed us, you also betrayed our planet!"
Then he picked up the bandage "doll" behind his back, revealing that it was his puppet. Next, he sent his puppet towards Gaara.
"Wait!" cried Temari.
But it was too late. Just when the puppet was about to hit Gaara, the sand suddenly came up in front of Gaara and blocked the puppet's attack.
Kankuro growled. "Dammit!" He knew there was no way to get past Gaara's absolute defense. Only four people who were able to bypass his defense were Rock Lee, Hyuuga Hinata, Paradox, and now Coola.
Suddenly, a fist slammed through his back, as Kankuro coughed up the blood, which shocked him.
Paradox removed his fist from Kankuro's back and laughed. "Too bad! Your little brother has already made his decision." Obviously, Kankuro passed away to the ground.
Temari cried, "Kankuro!"
However, Paradox suddenly disappeared and reappeared behind her to chop her in the neck, rendering her unconscious.
Flashback Ended
That's what had happened to her. She was unconscious, but the next time she woke up, she more deaths, and there's no Coola, Paradox, and Gaara around them.
She was sobbing on her dead brother – Kankuro's corpse. He did not deserve to be betrayed by Gaara and died.
"I swear I will avenge you," said Temari softly. She recalled what Coola told them earlier that they already destroyed three villages so far. But with Sunagakure villages destroyed, it now made four destroyed villages. It would mean that Coola and others were heading for Konoha right now, or so at least she thought.
She stood up and put her fan behind her back, glaring at nowhere. She finally made her decision. She was going to Konoha and would warn them about Coola and others that they're going to Konoha next soon.
With that, she began to head towards Konoha ASAP before Coola could arrive there!

Vegeta: (Pick the Present Box up and he opened the box, only to find that it's food.) What?! You're giving me food?
Me: Oh, c'mon! There's no need to be a prick! I heard Saiyans love food, so I made it for you! Look over there! There's more foods for you!
Vegeta: Hmm... You're right. Saiyans love food! (Eats all of them so fast less than five minutes!) I've been wondering... What's this food made of? It's so delicious.
Me: (Grins) Yup! I cooked them. Amazing, right? Anyways, I mixed flour, breads, onions, some vegetable, worms-
Vegeta: (Widens his eyes in panick) WAIT! Did you say WORM?! WORM! WORM!
Me: (Mischievous smile) Yup! It's also made of worm!
Vegeta: Y-You will pay for it! (With that, he hurries to vomit in the bathroom. Little did he know that he will suffer for a while until he made his next appearance on Team Z .)
Me: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I GOT YOU! PAYBACK'S A BITCH, AIN'T IT?! Man, you got owned! (Turns around and gave peace out sign) PEACE! Merry Christmas! Yes I know it's late, but nonetheless MERRY CHRISTMAS!
