Chapter 122: Beyond The Limit!
Age 763, December 1- Konohagakure, Land of Fire, Element- Rock Lee vs No One (Tenten)
"And… YOU ARE IT!" The voice echoed for the final time before it silenced, and nothing could be heard again afterward.
That moment when the group besides Lee realized that Tenten made her next move, so they all immediately went into defensive stance to ensure that she would not kill one of them, even though it may not be possible.
The question is… who is 'it'? Who did Tenten target this time?
"Get ready!" Shikaku commanded.
"Damn it!" Inoichi's eyes pupil rapidly moved around, desperately attempt to spot the stealth user. "Where is she?!"
"Calm down, Inoichi." Shikaku whispered. "She won't kill any of us here. Not this time. Not on my watch."
"I know. But she's toying around with us!" Inoichi grumbled, still looking for her. He knew the strategy, but it was never time where he can relax around. Relaxing around will get him killed. Shikaku knew that, so that's why they all were still cautious anyways.
"She increases her level of stealth, so that I can't spot her anymore." Anko said, still looking for the stealth user. "And if I do, it will be too late by then, anyway. Damn that bastard!"
Rock Lee was still at loss after witnessing Tenten's death. No Neji. No Tenten. And even no Gai. All of them died to protect the planet Element. But he realized there was no time for him to mourn them as of this moment. He still had to protect the planet. "I guess I better start now…" Lee muttered to himself. Because the timing is ticking, so he had to follow the strategy before the 30 seconds expired as soon as Tenten revealed herself again. With that, he started taking his weight off his legs.
"DIE!" The voice screamed. Everyone else turned their attention to where the voice was. The voice was next to none other than Mitarashi Anko!
"Anko!" cried Inoichi. Shikaku remained silent, waiting for the event about to be folded.
Rock Lee just began clenching his fists and he mumbled something to himself.
Anko immediately noticed the silhouette of the stealth user, but she realized it was too late because Tenten was about to plunge her kunai into Anko's stomach. "Oh, shit!" She quickly tried to back off, but much to her futile.
The plan did not go as they all would hope. Before all their eyes, Anko was unable to defend herself, as the kunai plunged into her neck, leaving his throat exposed, bleeding.
"ANKO!" cried Inoichi in dismay.
Shikaku gritted his teeth with regretful for his own failure. "Dammit!" His failure of the strategy just costs another life right here.
Obviously, Tenten soon revealed herself just right after striking another person, as always. With her grinning manically ear to ear, she began to gloat at the strategist. "Pathetic! Do you think your strategy will works if you hope for the best? And did you hope that I'd go after Anko and I would fail the second time again? I do not fail second time. I learn from the failure and strive to overcome and success on the second attempt! You think me a fool?! Thanks to your failure, this chick's body is mine!" She looked at the wounded Anko, as she licked her lips around in some twisted way. "I like your body. Your body is so perfect! So sexy! I could stay in that body all my life! Better than the one I inherit right now!"
"You monster!" Inoichi yelled, clenching his fists in a rage.
Shikamaru's strategy had completely turned into the nightmare…
For Tenten, that is…
Anko was smiling for some reason. "Perhaps next time you best not underestimate us."
"What?" Tenten knitted her eyebrows in confusion. What did she mean by that? And why was her voice suddenly different now?
Not too long before she found out why, Anko magically let bugs flying out of her body and began swarming Tenten!
"What?!" Tenten cried in shock, immediately killing them with a quick release of his flame Ki. She jumped back after dealing with all bugs. She looked at Anko who transformed into a horde of bugs. But not just her, Shikaku and Inoichi also dispelled into the horde of bugs, too. "What's going on?!"
But they were nowhere to be seen! "Damn it! Where are they?! Where have they disappeared to?! Cowards, show yourself!" She scoured the area, but there were none of them in the sight. She was beginning to be very frustrated. She cursed herself for not seeing through them due to her overconfidence. She was too overconfident because she assumed there was no way they could beat her due to her stealth. But she just realized now that they figured out her stealth's weakness, too! "DAMN IT!"
"In this ninja world…" Tenten quickly looked up at where the source of a voice was, on the top of the destroyed building. It was Shikamaru who spoke, along with Inoichi and Anko. So they were hiding over there for some quite time recently. "…the shinobi has many rules in order to survive. Rule #73, 'A shinobi must never show any weakness.' You exposed every weakness of your stealth technique. Rule #41, 'A shinobi must always be aware of every situation they are in.' You did not, and therefore; you completely forgot about Shibi." Not too soon, Shibi would reveal himself next to them.
'Crap!' How could Tenten forget him?! 'Damn! I was so fixated to kill them so much that I completely forgot about him! There was one more person on their side! How long has he been hiding, though?'
"You make the mockery of me, didn't you?!" Tenten growled, her rage started to subside. She hated falling for the trick. She was outsmarted by the strategist, but she was not going to let it aside. "When did you have a time to hide?!"
Shikaku smirked but let Inoichi to answer it for him. "When you were busying fighting Lee and Tenten, we were able to have enough time to scout your weakness. Once we discern your weakness, Shibi began cloning us, while we moved to remain hide without you noticing us."
"Not all so mighty warrior you are anymore, eh?" Anko boasted. "Fooling around with us was your downfall. Plus, there's something you know about the Elementians, especially ninjas."
"Do not underestimate ninjas." Shibi started the sentence for Anko. "That's because no matter how strong you are, once your weakness is exposed, you must adjust in accord to your weakness, so you can overcome it."
Tenten glowered at them. "Damn you! Even if my weakness has been discovered, I don't need them to kill you anyways! I can kill you weaklings with my other powers anyways! You are no match for me, after all!"
Her petty threats were not enough to make them finch, but only to make them smirk even more, especially Shikaku.
"Oh, I forgot to mention one more rule." Shikaku smiled down at Tenten. "#Rule 1: A shinobi must always be made awareness of their surroundings all the time. That's the number one key to the survival."
Tenten was taken aback by the another set of rule stated by Shikaku. "W-w-what do you mean?"
Shibi cleared his throat before began, "What he means is—"
"Behind you!" By interrupting Shibi, Inoichi pointed her finger at something behind Tenten with a smile what seemed like a victory.
By the time Tenten realized, it was too late. Her eyes widened open, as she slowly turned around, only to find Rock Lee, but it looked like he was beginning to power up. 'Shit! I was so caught up in my negative emotional that I forgot about him, too! Tch, I might have to use them then!'
There was a visible chakra of blue that released from his body, but not only that, his light skin turned into a dark skin and his pupils disappeared! Now eyes were all blank white! The rocks left over from the fragment of building beneath him flew around his body.
"WHAT?!" Tenten was nervous. She had no idea what he was up to. But according to her vessel's memory, he had used Hachimon (Eight Gate) before back in the Chuunin, but it only went up to Tomon (5th Gate of Limit). Later, he would end up injuring his legs and unable to stay as a ninja for a while until Tsunade healed his legs. "You fool! Are you going to risk your body again just like that?! Do you remember what happened to you last time?!"
"Unlike you…" The outline of green aura glowed all around his body, as the earthquake increased over time, so did the wind that bellowed over Tenten. "Even if it takes me to defeat you by all means… then yeah, I am going to sacrifice my body to protect the people I care about! I will not allow any of my friends to die any longer! All my comrades died to protect this planet! Now it is my turn to protect this planet, even if I am going to die!"
"Heh…" Tenten scoffed, starting to giggle. "Based on my vessel's memory, I don't think you're capable of going past the 5th gate! In other words, at that level, you're still no match for me! I haven't even showed you guys my full power, after all! However, you might be giving me a hard time, but I'm up to every confidence that you are no match for me! I've taken over thousands and thousands of bodies, so the more body I inherit, the more powerful I've become!"
"That's why I'm going beyond the fifth gate!" Rock Lee revealed, much to everyone's shock.
That was not what Shikaku expected. The plan was for Rock Lee to go all the way up to 5th gate. Rock Lee did have something trick up in his sleeves left.
"You what?!" Tenten's body started to tremble. "It's impossible! No way someone like you could be possibly going beyond that! If you go beyond the 5th gate, you will just be throwing your entire body!"
Rock Lee did not respond back, but finally screamed the name he had been waiting to release for long time now. "Keimon! (The 6th Gate of View)" The size of his chakra aura grew exceptionally bigger, nearly overwhelming Tenten and almost knocked her off her feet.
However, she was strong enough to not let the powerful wind to knock her off, while shielding her eyes with her arms from the possible dusts or pebbles. She managed to peek at her opponent, only to find rocks, pebbles, fragments of destroyed building, etc. flying in a vortex around his body.
'What is this? Why am I feeling such an enormous power from him?! It's almost as if it comes from the Ki!' Tenten thought, sweating profusely down on her forehead. 'Impossible! It is Charka, but it is so powerful that I almost mistaken identify it as a Ki!'
To think she would be this scared. A simple earthquake like that should not terrify her, yet she was terrified! But at this moment, she refused to let an Elementian to terrify her, so she tried to compose herself by thinking she still had a chance, despite being overwhelmed by Rock Lee.
Once she calmed down, her lips curled upward into a smirk. "I'm not scared. Even if you somehow surpassed the 5th gate, you're still no match for me!" She burst into a laughter. "Bring it on, Lee! Give me all your best!"
While still powering up, Rock Lee had collective thoughts about her teammates about he let them down at this moment. 'Tenten…'
Flashback Began
"GET AWAY, TENTEN!" cried Rock Lee, which finally caught her ears.
In her reaction to Lee's warning, she knew something was not right either. Flash bombs probably wouldn't protect her, so she started to step back…
But it was too late… flash bombs flashed.
Tenten gasped all of the sudden. She felt something pushed into her chest, and somehow it started to bleed from her chest and her mouth. How? She had no idea, but her question would be answered once Hana became visible and there was sword already plunged through her chest.
That moment she knew she was already screwed up. Her face paled in terror. This was it. She was going to die. No one could save like that, not especially after the sword was right through her chest.
"TENTEN!" cried Rock Lee, trying to run to Tenten, but his legs would not buckle no matter how hard he tried.
"Heh…" Hana chuckled, taking a pleasant of killing Tenten. "Your trick won't work on me twice. I won't be blinded by your little trap again."
Tenten's eyes started to blur slowly. That indicated that she was going to die. Her body would soon become a numb. Before her eyes could black out, she looked up at Hana's face, and it turned out that Hana's eyes were closed.
'She knew?!' That was Tenten's final thought before her eyes were engulfed into the darkness. Her body became lifeless, as Hana took notice of it.
Hana smirked before removing her sword off Tenten's chest, as the lifeless body fell to the ground. Not long before she took a good look at her enemies.
Rock Lee looked like he had seen ghost or something.
Flashback Ended
'I am so sorry, Tenten. Only if I could protect you.' Rock Lee thought, as he moved on to his next teammate. 'Neji…'
Flashback Began
Neji shouted, "One hundred and twenty-eight strikes!" He delivered a powerful palm strike to Fye's chest, doubled him over. Fye threw up the blood from his mouth, and fell backward to the ground, seemingly dead.
Neji panted heavily, "It's over…" He glanced on his right at his teammates, and smirked. "He's dead… I have disabled all of his Chakra points."
Rock Lee cheered, "We did it! You are a genius, Neji!"
Neji sighed, "No, it's thanks to you, Tenten-san, Lee-san. If it was not for you, he would not be dead now even if I used this on him." Then he looked down at Fye. "You weakened him and I seized the opportunity. His fate has already been decided."
'Fayre…' Gai was shocked. He did not know what to do when he returned to Konoha. How would he take this news to Kakashi?
Neji looked at his teammates again. "This is his fate. His fate decided that he's dead today. It's his fate…"
Suddenly, a voice laughed hysterically, "You mean this is your fate?!" Gai, Rock Lee, and Tenten were baffled at the voice.
"What?!" Neji turned around, only to be stabbed in the chest by Fye's new sword.
"Neji!" Rock Lee and Tenten cried.
A sword opened the wound in Neji's chest and caused loss of blood. Not to mention Fye also pierced Neji's heart. Right now, Fye already stood, and had his sword through Hyuuga's chest.
Gai, Rock Lee, and Tenten had witnessed a tragedy event today! They could not believe what they had witnessed! They were pretty sure that Neji had disabled all of Fye's Chakra points. IT should have killed him.
Fye's lips curled into a dark smirk. "I'm done warming up!" Then he laughed, "This is what I mean when I said! Teamwork is what kills you. This is also what kills Obito-niisan!"
Neji coughed up the blood, as his hitai-ate fell from his forehead and revealed the bird cursed seal on the forehead. 'Can't be… no one can survive Hakke Hyaku Nijuhachi Sho!'
Fye laughed at Neji's shocked expression. "How does it feel to be slain by Uchiha, Hyuuga? I'm sure you already wondered how I survived your petty attack."
"It was the needle all this time. It is called Chakra Point Restore! Once it's injected in my body, it will restore all of my Chakra. But not just that, it also healed my entire wounds!" Fye declared, laughing. "Now, then…" He slowly pulled his sword away from Neji's chest.
Lee cried, "Neji!" He immediately ran and rushed to his teammate.
Tenten was baffled, and Gai still did not know what he should do. In fact, he was still in shocked that Fayre was still alive, and how Neji was killed easily!
As soon as Fye removed his sword from the chest, Neji kept coughing up the blood, as he fell towards the ground slowly. On the forehead, the cursed seal started to activate gradually. It signaled that his life was fading away slowly. He turned his head and spotted Lee who was still running towards him.
Neji's grim mouth turned into a smile. 'At least I can see my Dad… I'm dying here… Don't die… Rock Lee…' As soon as his body hit the ground, the cursed seal on his forehead immediately disappeared. Moreover, he died with a smile.
Rock Lee arrived on Neji's side, but he just realized that he already dided. A tear streaked down his cheeks. He cried, "Neji!"
Flashback Ended
Rock Lee blamed himself for his rival's death. 'We were not using enough teamwork. That's what caused your death.' And finally, he moved on to his final comrade. 'Gai-sensei…'
Flashback Began
Fye charged towards Lee and Tenten, and then pulled his sword up before attemping to sword his sword. Lee and Tenten's face paled in terror, as the sword swung at them. However, just as the sword was about to strike them, a boot to the face, knocked Fye away.
Rock Lee and Tenten widened their eyes in shock. "Gai-sensei!"
"Go!" Gai commanded his surviving students.
"Huh?" Lee and Tenten asked in confusion.
"I said go." Gai glared at Fye who managed to get up. "You guys can't die. Please report what just happened here to Hokage-sama. I will stop him."
Lee frowned, "B-But…"
"Lee…" Gai glanced over his shoulder at Fye, and grinned. He gave him a 'nice guy' pose. "Don't worry about me! It's still springtime of youth for us… especially you! So don't worry about me! You both just can't die… not yet. Just go!"
'Despite all this, he's still cheerful…' Tenten was astonished.
Lee was shocked at first, but then he began to smile. He then stood up and returned the grin and thumbs-up. "Gai-sensei! I SHALL NOT DIE! I SHALL CARRY TENTEN ON MY BACK TO KONOHA! IF I CAN'T, I SHALL DO THE HANDSTAND WALKING! YOSH!"
Gai yelled, "LEE! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! THAT'S MY BOY!"
Lee yelled back, "GAI-SENSEI!"
"LEE!"
"GAI-SENSEI!"
"LEEEEEE!"
"GAIIIII-SEEEEEENSEI!"
Fye and Tenten both sweat-dropped on their head.
Tenten sighed, "Lee-kun! Let's go!" Rock Lee refused to leave, so she had no choice but to grab his ear and dragged him away.
Rock screamed with the final echo. "GAAAAAAI-SENSEI!"
Flashback Ended
'Gai-sensei…' Rock Lee still did not know if Gai was still alive or not. But since Gai never returned, so it was safe to assume that Gai was dead already. But that was the last time he saw him, and he regretted that. Only if Tenten and he stayed, maybe together they would have beaten Fayre altogether. 'But this will be last time I let someone die!'
"I will protect everyone!' Rock Lee screamed, exploding his Chakra across the battlefield. "You won't kill anyone any longer, No One!"
All of the sudden, all fragments around Rock Lee were scattering away, and a group of fragments were flying towards Tenten. Raising her arms to block them, but with a simple blink of eyes, Rock Lee was all but gone.
"W-what in the world-?!" Tenten did not waste her time to scan the area thoroughly, but all he could find was other Elementians on the roof. "Where did he go?!" To think the table had turned around on him, especially when he used the stealth to his advantage the whole time. But this time, it was Rock Lee's turn, but how he disappeared? He had no idea!
She then was greeted with the hard fist right to her face, sending sprawling across the ground, in which created a shockwave. She was tumbling across the ground really fast, approximately 500 feet away.
'He's too fast! Faster beyond me! How is this possible?!' Tenten tried to figure out what really happened. Even if Rock Lee was using the 6th Gate of View, there was no way he could possibly be beating her! She refused to accept!
She was still knocked away for additional 200 more feet before she managed to stop the huge knockback, as she back flipped onto her feet. "DAMN YOU!" She looked up to glare, only to receive a punch to her guts, knocked away for another hundreds of feet again.
She would have knocked away even furthermore if it was not for remaining buildings behind her. She would be smashed through at least 5 buildings before it slowed down her knockback. But she never landed, because she was kicked away to the sky.
"ENOUGH!" Tenten screamed, her body quickly became a balloon-like to force herself to stop knocking away. Shortly after, her body would return to normal. Thanks to her bukujutsu, she was able to float in the sky and glared down at Rock Lee. "Do you know when is enough?!"
'Tch… I was hoping to save my Ki in this battle, but I guess I got no choice but to use this technique.' Tenten thought.
"Heh…" Tenten wiped bloods off her mouth. "You will be surprised to find what technique I am about to use! Few of them you might know!" Then she bit his thumb to draw the blood before she picked up the scroll.
"Don't tell me!" Inoichi quickly realized.
"That was…" Anko murmured.
"…Tenten's jutsu." Shibi finished her sentence.
'Well… this was… unexpected.' Shikaku thought. 'Not only that she stole their body, but she also stole their techniques!'
"But I'm not like you." Tenten chuckled smugly. "When I steal their body, I make their techniques more powerful based on my power level! Did I forget to mention that the more body I have inherited, the more powerful I have become?!"
After slamming on her scroll, unsealing thousands of kunais and shurikens. However, they were just not original, but were enhanced with the Ki that glowed on the tip of these weapons! "Heh… What do you think of this? Impressive, right?! Even with your speed, there's not possible you can beat! You have to be really faster than light to dodge them all! And if you dodge them, there might be a chance that your teammates will be in the crossfire! Haha!"
She finished laughing, as she sent all of her kunais and shurikens down towards Rock Lee, who stood still over there.
"Now it will be good time for me to unleash this one…" Rock Lee murmured, as he clenched his fists. "Asakujaku! (Morning Peacock)".
So fast that his fists threw in a barrage so much that it started generating flames from his fists, unleashing the barrage of flames all over the kunais and shuriken, destroying each and every single of them. Every single of them would be engulfed in fire and then explode in mid-air, but none of them had come even to harm any of them!
"WHAT?! It can't be!" Enraged, Tenten screamed as she unleashed multiple of kunais and shuriken towards him again, but to avail, as they were all destroyed by the flames. She would send more weapons following by that, keeping him on his toes. "BULLSHIT! HOW CAN YOU DO THAT?!"
"FORGET THIS SCROLL! I AM GOING FOR ANOTHER TECHNIQUE!" With the flicker of her finger, all light swords emerged from the sky behind her, almost as if he was summoning forth his swords from another dimension. "Heh, how about this?! Long time ago, I killed someone for this one. I never used it, but in the situation like this, it comes in a handy. DIE!"
Light swords propelled towards Rock Lee, who recently destroyed the last kunai and shuriken. Lee realized that he had to keep doing that, but eventually, he would have to move forward or this would continue to keep up like that and he would be exhausted, then she would seize this opportunity to kill him. That he could not allow!
With this technique, he could move anywhere he likes. He realized he could not do damage with his Morning Peacock technique if he kept destroying everything but the enemy herself. He was grateful that Tenten was not exactly pay attention to him, so he had the advantage over her at this moment. Only the reason why she was not pay attention to him was because she was too drawn to the battle between her light swords and his Morning Peacock… or that was because she could not see him through multiple explosions every time the flames destroyed light swords one by one, so it kicked up the dust in between them.
Tenten's expression could be seen very frustrated and angered. Succumbed to her own anger, she screamed with a rage. "What can I do to finish you off?!" She decided to use the most common technique: the barrage of Ki! She threw the Ki blast one after one at Rock Lee, who kept releasing flames from his fists, destroying light swords one by one and the Ki blasts followed by that.
However, while he was doing that, he started pushing back by jumping towards Tenten who was completely unaware of the situation. She was blinded by her own rage. She couldn't think thoroughly, so she was too fixated on killing him for sure. She never even noticed that he was already closing onto her.
Although she started to wonder why the flames looked like they were getting faster and faster. It was almost as if Lee was closing on to her…
Wait a minute—She realized. If flames became faster, that means…
She was going to throw another Ki blast before she was interrupted by a barrage of punches and kicks. It was too late. There was no way she could defend right now. He was too fast for her.
He was all over her. With each barrage to all over her body, she sustained an increasing damage, and her clothes had worn out, ripping a bit of her clothes there. At some point, the tie around her buns were removed, allowing her hair to fall to her back. Other time where she lost her hitai-ate after taking a punch to her forehead. There were scratches all over her body!
'At this rate…' She growled. 'I am going to die if this keeps up like that! Dammit, I guess I have no choice then!' She could just defend herself against a ridiculous speed like that!
But she would not allow that ridiculous speed to stop her out of fear! She was going to endure it and find another way to overcome that and kill him right away! 'At least I have thousands of bodies to back me up.'
Sometimes, her stomach quickly tingled with the pain. Then her face, her arms, her legs, and back to her stomach. Even she could feel the pain in her back. He injured every single part in her body.
Her eyes started to blur. Sometimes, her eyes would black in and out. That indicated she was going to die, but she knew she could not afford to die right now. She wanted to carry out Coola's order, so she could get their attention. In her past, she never got attention from her squad or the organization or even Coola-sama. They never paid attention to her once in her life. Even her home world. They regarded her as an invisible person. They never regarded her in a good way only because she was very creepy. She killed so many people and she stole so many bodies, which was enough for everyone to stay away from her. But she did not understand why. She was trying to get their attention for years and years.
She was the third, youngest children of the family. She had oldest brother and sister, 5 years and 3 years older than her. Her Father was an AA in grief for her late Mother since she died giving a birth to the third child. Since her death, he continued to blame No One for "murdering" her Mom. Thus, Father had given her a beaten her whole life. Just for being in his presence, he abused her on daily basis and told her that she was a waste of atmosphere and that she should not deserve to live. To him, she was a monster. To make it worse, he taught her siblings that they should treat her like an enemy and he gave them an ok to hit her or whatever they do as they are pleased with her. He won't even care if they ended up killing her anyways. He told them they do this to honor their late Mom.
At the age of eight, her Dad was fired several months before she turned eight. He was fired because he continued to give his co-workers and his boss problems. He even took the rehab, but it did not work out for him. So, he was fired and because of that, he blamed her because she was the reason why he lost his job. Her siblings were onto it and hated her for it. One day, right after her Dad gave him a biggest beating of her life, he went straight to bed, but her siblings were unlucky. They wanted to give her the same beating as their Dad did, but she finally snapped and murdered both. First, she killed her brother by stabbing the knife into the neck. Taking a pleasure of doing it, she licked the blood and somehow took the form of her oldest brother's body which haunted her oldest sister. But her oldest sister gave in her own anger and tried to attack, only to be killed by the knife as well. Once again, she took the form of her oldest sister's body. She killed Dad in his sleep right after. She did not lick his blood, however. She refused to take the body of her Dad, because this body would remind her of her past life.
She started killing people just for spitting far less than cruel words at her, as well as taking many of their forms. She was diagnosed with the mental illness. However, despite being diagnosed with the mental illness, the judge had decided that she did not deserve to continue to live, so she must be penalty by death. She would be executed in two weeks' time. It never happened because Coola and his men attacked the planet and brought her in. Even though they killed many people, they still stayed away from her and treated her like she was a monster.
'No one pay attention to me. Not even Coola!' Tenten thought. 'All I want is their attention and treat me like most people. Why can't Coola-sama recognize me?!"
Now at the age of 16 years old, she completely forgot her first body. But she also even forgot her gender. Her memory was a just vague. She remembered most of cruel thing that everyone did to her, but all her memory of her original consisted a shadow figure. That showed how much she forgot about her original body.
'I can't die. I just can't die!' Tenten screamed in her thought, as she was glaring at Rock Lee who threw a barrage of flame fists around her body. 'Damn you to hell! I suppose I have no choice.'
With the finishing move to spare, Tenten started muttering in an odd language—Not the universal language that everyone knew—just before Rock Lee hammered down his fist right on the center of her chest, sent her rocketing downward.
Despite the life-threatening damage that was inflicted towards her chest, she managed to finish reciting words in an odd language right before her body hit the ground. The massive dust kicked up, surrounding Tenten's body.
"Is it…" Inoichi cleared his throat, as Lee landed. "…done?"
"It should be." Shikaku said. "No one can survive that move. Lee gathered enough strength to finish it off. With that move, it should be dead already."
"I hope so." Anko was keeping her eyes on the dust. "I have a bad feeling about this."
When the dust was about to clear, Shibi was the first one to confirm whether it was dead or not. "No. It's still alive." They double checked the diminishing dust, and it was true. The shadow figure just stood up inside that dust. They all were shocked that it was still somehow alive, even after that finishing move?!
Aside from them, the only trouble Rock Lee had was with himself. It turned out that breaking past the eight gates of his own limit was putting a lot of tolls on his body. He was already sweating so much and he was panting too much lately. 'Drat! I was hoping that I can finish it off. I thought if I finish it off with the morning peacock, it should have dead.'
'B-But how?!' Shikaku thought. 'Did I miscalculate again? Is there also another technique we were not aware about?' He feared that if the fight lasts even longer, then Rock Lee would be worn off, and No One would find an opportunity to finish them off all for once. He figured he will have to pay attention to No One how it managed to survive.
However, much to everyone's surprise, when the dust finally cleared, the shadow figure revealed itself to be Hana once again!
"What?!" That was all everyone could form words out of their mouth. Why did No One return to Hana's form?!
"Hehehehehe…" Hana chuckled to her own amused after seeing the expression on everyone's face. "I bet you did not expect this coming. And you probably want to ask me how I survive, right?"
'Did it transform back to its previous body, so that it could survive?' Shikamaru wondered. 'If that's the case, then when did it start transforming? It should take a while to return to its last body, just the same way as it did with new body.'
Not to mention when it returned to its previous body, all the damages done to its body were healed. However, its panting was heavy. He deducted that transformation to the previous body took a lot of toll on its body.
"I survived because I had to transform to my previous body." Hana began, her grin lifted. "The technique is called Return. It will only work if I lose a certain amount of bloods, then I may use technique to return to the previous form. It has pros and cons, though. The cons are that I lost some of powers. But pros… This technique heals every damage I received when I used it. It will appear to you as if I haven't started fighting yet! For example, my heart you inflicted heavy damage upon, it was going to stop beating if I didn't use the Return and obviously, I will die from it. Because I used it, my heart is now beating regularly again! I was so grateful that the body I inherited was a useless piece of shit anyways. The only good thing about Tenten is that her accuracy of throwing weapons and kenjutsu techniques. Therefore, I don't lose any speeds or strength, after all."
'However, when I used the Return, it does have the side effect. One time when I had to use the Return, I had to rest for a week to recover. This will be the first time I have to keep fighting even after I used it.' Hana thought. That one she did not wish to relay to outsiders. They had no business knowing about her side effect. If they knew about it, they would be taking advantage of her. Her only concerns were that they probably did not know about it but may still had upper strength over her anyways.
Good thing she already had a plan in the mind.
"Now you know that. But I have no doubt you're planning to beat me up until I'm at the last body. But may I remind you that I have over thousands of bodies? It is only a matter of time before you're completely exhausted and I will seize an opportunity to kill you all." Hana announced. "Now I will not go easy on you all anymore. Behold! Watch as I'm about to show you the most dangerous combination of all, in which I just added."
Her wicked grin turned up, as she closed her eyes, concreating all of her energy into her body, forcing some of her skins to emerge from its layer, forming her own clone next to her. Following by that, there would be two additional clones stood next to her. That was the total of 4 Hanas, grinning darkly at an exhausted Lee.
"Clones?! But it did not weave hand signs or something," said Inoichi.
"That's not Bunshin no Jutsu." Shikaku answered. "It's just other version of clone technique that it learned or at least copied from another world."
"Clones, however, should divide their powers in four." Shibi reminded them. "No matter where the techniques are from, they always divide their powers in a certain number of clones."
"That should be all right for Lee. If he can keep his toes on with these fours, he can kick their ass!" Anko spoke up.
"It may have more tricks up its hidden sleeve. We should not underestimate it for the time being. However, as it seems as they're divided in powers, they could have another technique that boosts their attributes." Shikaku pointed out. His companions nodded in agreement with him. He was right. There may be more to come, from what Hana herself told them. The combination she just mentioned, it could be dangerous combination, so they hoped that Lee would be alright.
As for himself, looks like he would have to figure out how to counter that person once again. It was seemed like it was an endless fight. It was tough than he thought. Started from Riley to this person. It was such a… "Troublesome…" He muttered quietly to himself.
"Hehe… How do you like that?! 4 against 1. It's too much for you, don't you think?" Hana taunted him, as all four crouched down. "Not to worry. This is just the first step to my combination. But right now, right here, you're about to witness the most dangerous combination I have ever came up ever in my lifetime! I don't think you will survive after this! Can you handle this?"
"That stance?!" cried Anko. She recognized that stance immediately as soon as they crouched down. "Don't tell me it is going to use Hana's jutsu?!"
Rock Lee was still panting heavily. his eyes were narrowed at the time, but he was nowhere close to unconscious, but that was the sign of him wearing out, though. He figured he needed to finish it as soon as possible, but how? He was no expert in strategist, so there was no way for him to figure out on his own. So, he could always count on Shikaku to relay his strategy to him anytime soon.
But anyways, he was glancing around at each of his enemy, just to be very cautious. He was not going to let them blindly ambush him. And he knew that stance. In other words, Hana was trying to outmatch him on the term of speeds.
"Words of warning: I modified this technique as my own Ki attack." Hana smirked, before calling out the name. "GATENGA! (Fang Rotating Fang)" Hana and her clones rolled faster enough to make themselves look like a buzz-saw like shape.
Then next moment…
Rock Lee was knocked away across the floor, while ended up having his tracksuit torn off, and blood scattered from his body. Apparently, there was a cut across his body, much to everyone's shock, including Lee himself.
'I can't see it! It is too fast! What's going on?!' That was all Rock Lee could think. 'I can't get distracted too much. I have to pay attention. I have to be faster than him!'
He spotted a buzz saw-like shape behind him, but it was too late to defend himself. That sharp thingy was enough to cut up his back, drawing some blood and sending him back.
Because it was too painful to deal with them, he closed his eyes in the pain, but failed to realize that he was missing what was going to happen next. Next thing he knew, he received a painful greeting right to his stomach, flying away into the sky.
This time, he opened his eyes, only to find the buzz saw-like shape waiting for him above. It was predictable after all. He knew that Hana would be waiting for him above. Only the problem was that he wondered how he could dodge it in mid-air.
'Ki…' That hit him. He remembered all the Elementians can learn the Ki by just looking at them firsthand. Just need to create a Ki to repel Hana, but would it be good enough? It should not hurt to test that after all.
'Let's see… I can't use Chakra.' Rock Lee looked at his hand. The time was ticking. He had to act now before it was too late or his body would come closer to Hana whom was waiting for him. 'Concertation on the Ki! Just draw all the Ki from the body alone. All the way into my hand, then let it go once it is up!' The way how they draw out the Ki was almost similar to Chakra, but he could only hope that he was able to draw out Ki, unlike the Chakra where he couldn't use ninjutsu.
And he did! He drew his Ki into the single point on his hand. He was amazed by the little energy sphere that was hovering above his hand.
His face became serious again. That was no time to celebrate his success at the time like that. 'Here I go. Let's put this to a test!'
Rock Lee puts his hand forward at the buzz saw-like shape Hana, immediately launching it at it. That went successful as Lee had hoped, it repelled it away. 'It worked?!' Apparently, that was how they counter Hana's technique, or rather No One's technique if modified as Ki attack.
Unfortunately, even when that Hana was repelled back, there was another Hana in the layer behind the clone, going around the repelled Hana and continued after Rock Lee.
"What?!" Rock Lee yelled. He did not realize that this Hana clone was used as a decoy. But when did other Hana have a time to go there? Did that happen right before he started gathering up the Ki?
He did not have enough time to react, as that buzz saw-like shape moved on to him, knocking him back to the ground.
Hanas were not done! All four came in the group after the knockback Lee following that immediately! Two from both sides and two from the above at the same time. They were really coming at him at once.
As soon as Lee came close by the ground, he immediately spun around and kicked the ground in order to hop off, just right as two Hanas from the sides narrowly missed him and collided their head each other, leaving them to stun. Then Rock Lee used both stunned Hanas as a springboard to handspring away, allowing two more Hanas to crash two stunned Hanas down. Because two stunned Hanas were crashed too much, they simply disappeared and transferred each to remaining clones.
After the landing Lee just made, he immediately took into a defensive stance, even during when a couple of Hanas were stunned for a moment there. He just needed a time to collect his breathe first. His aura was still there, but it was only a matter of time before his 6th of his eight gates diminished soon. He needed to finish this fight before it became too late. At least he knew he still had a speed over him. He allowed Hana to do few more damages to him too much. His eyes started to blur. He could not afford to let Hana damage him few more anymore. He needed to minimize the damage done by her.
"You really outdone me, didn't you, Rock Lee?!" Hanas were on their knees, as they smirked at the exhausted spandex user. "But we don't really need four to beat you! Just two will do anyways! Thanks to you, I am now faster!"
'Crap!' Rock Lee realized that he only helped it to restore its power back by getting rid of first two. Now that would mean they were faster than before. Hanas crouched down, displaying their wolves' grins. 'Here it comes!'
"Gatsuga! (Fang Passing Fang)" Hanas were rotating their bodies and flew all over Rock Lee. A couple of rotating fangs were flying around, creating a dust surrounding them, where speculators could no longer seeing them. Rock Lee apparently received several damages all over his body. They were too fast, so that he could not dodge. To be more precise, two of them were faster than four of them from earlier.
"Is there nothing he can do about them?!" Inoichi asked out aloud. "With the speed it has, even divided in two, that just made it more dangerous foe!"
"Say, should we help him? He could use a backup." Anko said, showing concerns for Lee. "At this rate, he's going to die."
"No." Anko and Inoichi looked down at Shikaku in shock. Why would he reject the idea of helping Lee out? "We can't. Not now. To analyze it, I must know what enabled it to perform the 'Return'. There must be more to it than just that."
"But still—" Inoichi was going to object, but Shikaku interrupted his sentence. He doubted that they would have witnessed that technique from earlier again, since it seemed that it required the user to be near death in order to perform one.
"Don't worry. He will be fine. We already saw how he was faster than it a while ago." Shikaku reassured his comrades. "He will be fine."
At the words of Shikaku, Inoichi chose to trust his words and let this aside, as he was watching the fight patiently. Nothing they could do but to watch and hope for the best, after all. When it came to Shikaku's strategies, they could always count on him to make the fight in their favor more successfully.
Hanas continued to barrel all around Rock Lee, as the smoke continued to rise. She tried her best to put as much as damage she could inflict on him. When she noticed that he was beginning to lose his consciousness, she prepared her next move for that, so she kicked him away and she stopped rotating before she quickly landed on the ground.
"All right! Time to kill you here!" A couple of Hanas, but other one henged into Hana's ninken and crouched down once again and then both combined into a double-headed wolf. "Jinju Konbi Henge: Sotoro! (Human Beast Combination Transformation: Double-Headed Wolf".
Then they began spinning extremely rapidly towards their target. "Goroga! (Fang Wolf Fang)"
Granted, Rock Lee was able to prepare for that moment. He noticed that they were very reliable on Inuzuka's techniques right now. In other words, it was the speed they were counting on. To beat them, he must outrun them. He needed to build on his speed first.
He spun around to force stop his knockback and started running away from it, with the rapidly large vortex following him. Anywhere he went, it would always follow him around. Even if he tried to bait it into the remaining buildings, it would destroy through and continue its pursue after him. He even took a quick turn, the vortex would go in a curve after him.
However, as he glanced over his shoulder at the vortex, he noticed that it was gaining on him. At this rate, it would catch up to him. He could not afford to receive another heavy hit from this. But if he decided to jump, that should give him enough momentum to give it a surprise.
Lee jumped very far into the sky quickly. He looked down and it was as he just expected; Hanas followed up in only a matter of millisecond. Her reactions were god-like speeds now after all. But she was too blind to the surrounding, also. 'This is it!'
He spun around to give it a roundhouse kick. But it just missed short as the vortex suddenly stopped, revealing the grinning Hana right before her face, causing Rock Lee to widen his eyes. "You thought it will work on me?! I knew your attempt was to bait me into the sky, so you can have a higher ground. I have seen that strategy too many times in my experience. That won't work on me!"
Lee was ambushed by the Hana clone from the above, receiving an ax-handle smash right on the top of his head, sending him back to the ground.
'When did he get behind me?' Rock Lee gritted his teeth, as he looked up at Hana, who began powering up her aura. 'I need to switch gears. I have to go into an offense now.' The problem is, he needed to find something to counter. But he suspected it was going to be now, as seeing that it wasted time charging up. It was probably for the finish.
Hana puts her elbows up in front of her eyes, while bending her knees, along with her aura spiking up. "Now…" Hana laughed, watching Rock Lee still falling towards the ground. "…for the finish!"
Hana dove towards her falling opponent at such a high-speed, something that not even naked eyes could caught the sight of her. Her body was veiled in a spear-like aura. That was the technique called Flash Dove. When she used the technique, her speed had been increased over 2,735 km/h. Her speed was as good as the bullet, or even faster than it. That was the technique she learned when she took someone's form that she killed that person few years ago. There were also two requirements in order to make the technique very efficiently.
The opponent must be below the user within at least 300 feet
The user must be in the sky in order to begin diving.
'You're done! Besides few people, no one can ever stop my Fla—' Her thought was cut off, when she received a heel to the cheek. 'W-What?!' She gave a brief glance at the source of the boot, who happened to be from Rock Lee himself. 'H-How…?! Can he see me?!'
Once she took a good look at him again, his eyes were closed. 'His eyes… are closed?! No, it's just that he can't see me. He must have assumed the timing of my attack…' His teeth gritted in frustration. '…or he learned how to sense the Ki. Well, it is not surprisingly, considering that he used a bit of Ki blast earlier.'
The force of his boot knocked her away at a great distance. Although her knockback may be very fast, but that was not good enough to knock her guards off completely. As soon as she stopped her knockback, she looked up only to find that Rock Lee was nowhere to be seen. She was at loss of words. Lee was just right there last second! How did he disappear so fast?!
Little did she know, she was ambushed by a fist in the back, causing a wounded damage, which made her scream in the pain. Once again, after receiving a punch to the back, she was sent flying away uncontrollable.
Her eyes were closed, but at this moment, she just opened eyes, only to be startled by Lee's sudden appearance right before her very eyes. All she saw was the red face with a blank white eye. It was a nightmare for her because she knew she could not stop him. He already gained the momentum. It's safe to assume that he would not stop him anytime soon.
Lee knocked her down with the headbutt to the forehead. There was even a blood leaking from her forehead. Before she realized what was going on, her body was tossed up back at the sky with a couple of boots to her back. Followed by it, there was another fist punch to her back, sending him flying away once again. Next, he delivered a headbutt to her face, sent back down to the earth. Like last time, there was a double kick to her back, sending her sprawling to the sky.
'I can't…' Hana grimaced, as she received the fist punch to her back once again. 'I can't stop…' Headbutt to her face and followed up to it, double kicked to her back. 'I can't stop him!'
She now realized that she was going in the cycle in a triangle style. Rock Lee had repeated the same three attacks. But she had lost count how many times she had gone in the cycle. Maybe 7 or 8 times? But Rock Lee kept pressing on that attacks. She had no idea where she was right now. She felt nausea and dizzy already so much that she lost the sense of direction. Was she above or below? Every time she wondered where she was right now, she was knocked away immediately. It was almost as if his attacks were faster than her thoughts.
Now she just sensed that she was going to die soon, considering after a huge amount of damage she took. That damage was too much for her to sustain her life—or to be more specific, that body she inherited. 'Damn you! I really like this body!' She did not want to go back to Takeo because she liked Hana's body, but she had no choice. It was only a matter of time before her body finally gave up.
Once one more again, her forehead throbbed after the headbutt that knocked her back down to the ground, but before she could hit the floor, several bandages wrapped around her body, pulling her back towards him. 'What?!' Hana screamed internally. 'Is he going to finish me off?!' Without any thought to proceed, she immediately chanted some odd language, just like she did when she returned to her previous body back then.
However, her action could not remain unnoticed. Shikaku had been carefully analyzed her for a good while there. He took a notice of the chant in her odd language. 'This is….?' He just began to suspect that it might be Return technique. But that was not enough. He wanted to pay attention carefully first. If his deduction was correct, then he may have figured out how to end No One.
Right as Hana completed her chant, there was a flame that enveloped around Lee's fist, driving it through her chest. The damage was done too much that the hole formed in her chest, as she coughed up the blood. Her pupils dilated, shaking. It became grey for a second, before it started changing colors.
After taking the hit, she was sent smashing to the ground, as the dust kicked up, covering her body.
'Did I get him?' Rock Lee thought as he landed. He would stare at the dust and wait for it to clear. He was hoping that the fight ended right here, right now. At this rate, his power was going to subside anytime soon.
"No. It's not over, Lee." The voice was suddenly implemented in his head.
"Shikaku?!" Rock Lee replied with a surprise.
"Before he transforms back to his previous body, he always recites words through his voice in order to be able to use the technique." Shikaku explained. "That's how he is able to cheat death twice."
Rock Lee furrowed his eyebrows. He never noticed that, because he was too busy trying to finish No One off. To think No One wielded this power to cheat death. "What do you suggest? His voice is as fast as my speed. He will turn back before I can end him."
"The voice." Shikaku immediately answered. "The voice is its main weapon. Without the voice, you take away its only ability to use all forms of technique."
"You mean?!" The realization dawned on his face. Come to think of it, he recalled that every time No One used the technique, it always recites words on its own language. He thought it was odd at that time. That also includes its stealth.
"Without the voice, it becomes weak fighter. You must mute him. Disable his voice, then beat him!" concluded Shikaku.
"Damn you! Damn you to hell!" This time, it was young boy's voice. The dust had cleared, revealing it to be Takeo once again. "Why do you keep insisting to kill me? You should know I will keep using The Return as long as I'm alive! For you… heh…"
Takeo placed his palms on the ground, as he stared at Lee with an evil grin. At this moment, Lee finally noticed that Takeo was speaking in his own language.
'He's reciting words?!' Rock Lee thought. Whatever Takeo was doing right now, he must be on cautious. Knowing Takeo, that guy probably had thousands and thousands of stolen techniques.
"Ya think you can keep up with me? It's only a matter of time before your so-called Hachimon wears out." Takeo chuckled, releasing his power through the ground towards Lee.
Lee looked down at the ground. It was a yellow lightning that spread towards him. That was another stolen technique. Just before it jumped out of the ground towards him, the green spandex user leapt off away, but only for the lightning to materialize Takeo right by him!
Although it caught Lee by the surprise, just in time Lee landed and disappeared before Takeo could catch him with the fist. He reappeared just a bit far away from him, but as soon as he did that, he saw another lightning hurling towards him.
It was at high-speed, but Lee was able to counter it with one of his own high-speed technique by evading it. Unfortunately, behind him, the lightning turned into Takeo again.
"What?!" Rock Lee turned around, only to find a fist propelling at his face. His eyes were widened at another layer of speed to Takeo's stolen technique. How many speed techniques did it steal? Now the speed came with the lightning this time.
The fist slipped through him, as Lee disappeared again and reappeared another several feet away.
He was able to counter them with his own speed, thanks to his Hachimon. But still, if he could not figure out how to move on with the attack, it may be too late for him, since his Hachimon was going to run out soon. He must find a way to end him for once and all. How exactly would he plan to mute Takeo?
It had been a while since he activated Hachimon. Considering it had been long enough and he used a lot of technique during his jutsu, at this rate, it should be exhausted soon. If he won't do something about it, his Hachimon would expire, and Takeo would defeat him. And knowing that he was about to run out of Hachimon, so if he happened to use one more technique, it would have subsided immediately.
'Then I must stake all on this one technique! A technique that can defeat him.' Rock Lee thought. The second he found the opening; he was planning to use the technique on it!
The lightning shot towards him, and Lee crossed his arms in attempt to block it, but it never came in a contact with his arms. Before he even knew it, he received the sole of the boot right under the chin, sending him upward to the sky.
He managed to stop himself from being knock back with the help of little Ki. He was flinched at the scattered lightning balls all over him, but soon realized that they were not aiming at him but left over all over the sky to surround him.
"What?" He was astounded to find all lightning balls over the sky. "W-What is this?!"
"So I can do this!" The voice startled him, as the lightning sphere suddenly materialized Takeo, who showed him a huge grin. "It's time for the payback, for what you did this to me before!"
Takeo used the similar pattern that Lee used on him before, but instead of triangle, he began attacking Lee in a circle at such a high-speed using the lightning speed! Every time he moved through a lightning ball to strike Lee, he moved through another lightning ball!
Lee screamed in agony, as it was cutting a skin of his body open. Bloods flew up every time his opponent made a move. But this time, he finally realized it. He figured it out. He figured Takeo's current technique out.
'He relies on lightning ball to carry him through anywhere. He was not moving at a light speed on his own, but the technique moved him instead!' Rock Lee thought, while sustaining the pain for every new cut on his skins. 'Before he began moving, the lightning ball always glowed. That's where he went to next.'
Afar from the battle, Shikaku, Inoichi, Anko, and Shibi were watching the battle in a silent. All of them worried about Lee. All they could do was to count on Lee right now. Because if Lee was done, then they were done, too. The only thing they could do was to watch in silent, although frustration was shown on Inoichi and Anko's faces.
Takeo moved to the last lightning ball as he materialized himself above Lee, knocking him down back to the ground with the double-ax handle. Followed by it, he fired another lightning ball at Lee.
Lee landed his feet on the ground, only to find the lightning ball floating in front of him. As soon as it glowed, he immediately put his arms in a cross. Right as he crossed his arms, he would feel the boot that shoved him away.
His feet skidded away for few meters before he puts it to a complete stop. Another lightning ball swooped past him. His pupils casted aside to the lightning sphere.
Takeo recited words in his own language, forming a twin lightsaber in each hand. Both glowed very red. "This is one of my favorite technique. I am going to slice every single body part of you and sell them for a high price. To someone who has an ability to reattach your body part and turn you into a robot-like! You might be useful in Coola-sama's force!"
"GAME OVER!" Takeo laughed.
"You're right…" Rock Lee muttered. His hands switched to fingertips as he waved it around to behind him. Bloods were spilled all over. What he poked was the throat of his opponent! He poked the hole in Takeo's throat!
"Arr… agh…" Takeo held his throat, trying to cover the blood as much as he could. But no matter how many times he tried to say something, his voice would not come out. His whole body were shaking and his pupils dilated too much in panic. He knew by losing his voice, he could no longer casting any techniques. After all, he was required to recite words to cast the technique.
Shikaku grinned. "He did it!" That moment he knew this fight was over. There was nothing No One could do about it.
Inoichi was astounded to see that Rock Lee was able to pull it off. "How did he know where it went?"
"He figured it out! It needed to go through the lightning ball in order to perform a high-speed technique. Whenever it glowed, it appeared there. Because it was so obvious, everyone can figure them out." Shikaku smiled. "That's also another Shinobi Rule: don't let them figure your move out easily!"
"It is…" Lee swiftly kicked Takeo square in the jaws, sending him high into the air. "GAME OVER!"
'Damn it!' Takeo grimaced, watching as his body took off high into the air. Not even he could stop this knockback himself, so all he could do was to think about the surprise attack by Lee. 'I can't use a voice anymore!' Rock Lee followed up behind him. 'What?!'
Lee wrapped an opponent with the bandage, so that way Takeo could not move or escape. Once they both reached the peak of the initial kick's arc, he turned them both upside down and began spinning and propelling headfirst towards the ground.
'I get it!' Realization dawned on his face, as he could not escape from his enemy's technique. That must be a finishing move. 'By disabling my voice box, I lose my ability to recite words in order to cast any techniques. All includes the most important technique that prevents me from dying: Return! Without the voice, they all gained the opportunity to finish me off completely. I cannot use Return. That was a brilliant strategy you pulled off! But…'
His grimace lips suddenly curled up into an evil, maniac grin. 'I, too, have a trump card that I ever hoped to never use it in my lifetime. If I am going to die, then I might as well take you out with me!'
Takeo's body glowed too bright out of nowhere, catching everyone by a surprise. 'There is only a technique that I actually learned on my own, aside from Transform and Return! The technique that doesn't require me to recite words in order to make it work! This is a technique that allows me to concreate all my Ki into the whole body. As a result, I am going back to my true body!'
"I thought he can no longer use a technique since Lee disabled his voice?!" asked Inoichi in shock.
Grimaced, Shikaku clenched his fists, as his teeth gritted in a panic. 'I did not expect this. Just a slight miscalculation, but who would assume that our enemy have one more technique? Without the voice, no less!'
"Oh, no!" Anko recognized the move in No One. "HE IS GOING TO BLOW UP! GET AWAY, LEE!"
Shibi remained stoic. Despite being stoic, not even everyone could tell that he was actually worried and very anxious. He never thought that their opponent could wield such an ability to self-destruct!
However, Lee paid no mind to whatever No One was planning to do. If it was a self-destruction technique, then he must do what he needed to do. 'I'm not going to run.' He was not going to let it go. He did not plan to escape, because it could be also an escape move. To bait an opponent by thinking he was going to blow up, it usually worked as an escape move.
Shikaku knew that as well, so that's why he did not yell at him to get away. All he could do was to prepare for Lee's possible death.
As Rock Lee continued to drive both his opponent and himself towards the ground, Takeo's head slowly titled around, so he could see Lee's determination eyes. 'He's not going to escape. I can't tell if he is very brave or he is incredibly stupid. Fine! I am going to take you down together with me, as my plan originally intended to!"
The bright white completely enveloped his whole body: head to feet; and his eyes glowed dark red. 'I'm sorry that I am forced to make a choice, Coola-sama. But I'm thankfully, for you to give me a second chance in life. I'm given a chance to kill and steal a lot of bodies. I really enjoy them all, especially female genders. They're the gender that I enjoy the most. I don't know why, but it does feel like my body is just a fit for female. It's much easier to move in these forms.
'In a parallel universe, I feel like I can beat them. And I won't die. But in this universe, because I use this technique, I will go back to my true body and die with it. I mean, that's the only way I can take this guy down by self-destructing! This is my farewell, Coola-sama!'
Before he completely blew himself up, he also sent out a thought to Rock Lee. "So long… SUCKER!" His body became a balloon-like, as it exploded right before Rock Lee's shocked, the bright light enveloped Lee away along with No One!
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
"LEEEEE!" That was all Lee could hear before all darkness filled his visions.
