Because awesomeness deserves acknowledgment. I know it's just a silly fanfiction, but you said some seriously awesome things that made me want to update, so you deserve to be acknowledged.

I apologize for any errors, I totally did not bother proofreading this, I just wanted to get out an update. Please beware of EMO!jack. He's rampant.

:27:.

Jack stared out across the wide expanse of tundra. He gripped his staff and forced himself not to grind his teeth in irritation. He was upset, undeniably irritated by his previous run-in with Pitch. There were a lot of things running through his head, none of which he was particularly happy about. Most notably, he hated how right Pitch was.

Jamie was too old to believe anymore. Jack was actually surprised at how long he had lasted. It had been years since his peers had begun teasing him about his firm belief in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. It hurt to think that it had taken the Nightmare King to finally bring down such a strong believer. Sophie had been his first, even before Jamie had seen him cause a flurry in his bedroom. Sophie had seen and trusted him even before she could properly talk. He loved the two of them like family, and he never wanted to let them go. The past couple of months had been terrible, having to try and pretend like it was alright that his best friend no longer acknowledged his existence. He'd been okay with Sophie for a while, but a lover wasn't the same as a best friend. He missed Jamie, and he missed how human the boy had made him feel.

Without him he just felt empty and alone.

He felt like he'd lost his purpose. He'd spent so long telling himself it was all okay, but it wasn't. He was broken and hurting, and Sophie's pretty face and kind words couldn't fix this problem. For the first time in a long while, Jack felt alone. He felt utterly and dejectedly alone.

Another swing of his staff and snow cascaded purposefully out, away from his staff in a sweeping heap. It was unsatisfying. He wanted more out of existence than being the Prince of Winter. He wanted some meaning behind his life. He wanted to be human.

"Why?!" He shouted hatefully at the moon.

"Why did you do this to me? Why couldn't you let me die?!" Venom laced his words as he spouted curses to the moon.

"If you care at all, make me human again!" He threw his staff and it hit a tree with such force that ice shards exploded from the impact.

"I don't want to be like this anymore. I can't…" His voice eased out to sobs of furious sorrow, and the moon watched in silence.

Jack Frost exploded once more in fury, sending up cascades of jagged ice as if he hoped to pierce the moon. After several fruitless waves, he gave up and collapsed back on a snow drift.

"I can't… I can't lose them all over again…" He mumbled miserably before darkness took him and he drifted off to sleep.

"Oy! Wake up, mate!"

A sharp smack across the jaw jarred Jack out of his troubled nightmares, and he stared up at Bunnymund in shock.

"What's your goddamn malfunction?!" Jack spit out hatefully.

"I honestly don't give a shit 'bout your problems, mate." Bunny ground out spitefully. "We got bigger problems than you!"

Jack groaned and rolled over, pulling some snow with him as he moved.

Bunnymund grabbed his ear and forced him upright as he shouted in pain.

"What's your deal?!" Jack screamed in fury.

"Sophie's missin', ya fuckin' hob-knocker!" Bunnymund hissed at him and Jack's eyes widened in shock.

"What do you mean she's missing? It's only been a few days…" Jack knew he was wrong even as the words left his mouth, but he prayed Bunny would agree.

"It's been a few goddamn weeks! While you were here mopin' about yerself the rest of us have been workin' overtime tryin' to fix this goddamn mess you got us into!" Bunnymund roared in his face and Jack flinched.

"What..? I just…" Jack tried in vain to defend himself.

"You've been sleeping for feckin' months! You know how hard it was to find yer sorry arse?! Get up!" Bunny was furious, and Jack scrambled to his feet as Bunny pulled on his arm.

"Winter's been going goddamn haywire since you decided to take a damn breather, and I can't find my sweet little ankle-biter anywhere!"

Bunny's words were muddled chaos in Jack's head, and he struggled to understand exactly what was going on.

"What?! Wait… Where's Sophie?!" Jack finally managed to mumbled through his sleep-addled brain. Bunny smacked him open-palmed against the side of his head.

"She's gone! She's feckin' vanished! Nobody's seen her at all! We can't even find Pitch! All we can figure is Pitch got to her, and took her somewhere we don't know about!" Bunny wrenched him bodily from his comfortable den in the snowbank.

Jack reeled for a few moments as the words sank in, then he dashed across to the pine tree and began digging. After a few minutes, he wrapped his hands around his staff and gritted his teeth.

"Good feckin' luck, mate. You think the rest of us haven't tried Jamie?" Bunny flipped him off, but Jack snarled and took off into the air.

Jamie had just popped open the toaster over when the door slammed open behind him. Letting out a whoop of surprise, he dropped the hot pocket and spun to stare at the door.

Something cold dribbled down the back of his neck, and he spun to nothing behind him. Rubbing a hand against the back of his neck, he let out a soft curse and bent to pick up his pizza pocket. When he straightened up again several words glared at him from the glass of the oven door.

"Look at me, Jamie."

He let out a yelp of terror and dropped the hot pocket again, this time losing it to his own boots as he scrambled backwards in terror. Turning to run, he tripped in the doorway and glanced up to see the words "I'm done playing games" on the livingroom window.

It was snowing inside the house by the time he got to the stairs, and his mother came barreling out of her bedroom to see what the ruckus was about. She stopped and her eyes widened in shock as she realized a soft winter storm was occurring inside her house, and Jamie stared at her in horror.

"What's going on?!" He shouted out in panic.

"Jack Frost wants to talk." appeared on the window in the dining room.

His mother read it aloud, and Jamie paled.

"What did you do?!" Jamie's mother bellowed at him from the top of the staircase.

She wasn't afraid, she was agitated. She glanced back and forth, her glasses steaming up from the drastic temperature changes happening inside the house. Stumbling a little on the stairs, she was knocked back as Jamie exploded onto the landing in panic. Ice began creeping up from the foot of the stairs and encased everything it touched.

"What is this?!" He yelled in terror as snow fell heavier around them.

"Can't you read?! It's Jack Frost! He's come to freeze us to death because of your awful grades!" Jamie's mother screamed as she slapped his shoulder.

"Stop being ridiculous! Jack Frost isn't real, he's a myth! Clara told me all about him!" Jamie kept insisting, and his mother grabbed his ear and wheeled him around to see the ice-coated house.

"Explain this! Please!" His mother hollered in his ear as Jamie stared wide-eyed and dumbfounded at the suddenly ice-coated hallway.

"Jack Frost… He's not real… He's…." Jamie heaved a sigh and Jack settled down before him with a heavy look on his face.

"He's what?" Jack bit rather harshly. Jamie's mother sucked in a breath and held it, and Jamie himself reeled back and slammed into a doorframe.

"You remember me, don't you? You remember all the things we used to do together?" Jack sounded bitter, and he stepped forward a bit aggressively. Jamie tried to jump back, but only succeeded in slamming sideways into a door and falling over.

"All those times they said it was Jack Frost. It was me. They were talking about me." Jack turned his heavy gaze on Jamie's mother, and she shied away from Jack in utter terror.

"What do you want?" Jamie managed to stammer out, and Jack turned his icy glare on him.

"Sophie. Where. Is. Sophie!?" Jack bellowed at him, and Jamie stared back at him in shock.

"Who?!"

Jack dropped his staff in horror when he realized the weight of Jamie's words.
