Chap.4

Hey guys,Ive been looking forward to writing the next few chapters as it really encapsulates what sparked the idea of this fic. Kenny is my favorite character and deserves some respect. I also feel that Heidi gets hate for all the wrong reasons. I'm also gonna adding in some elements of Heidi's personal life that we were never clued told in on in the series. Hope you enjoy.

Heidi was feeling better now. Of course she wasn't totally over it. Cartman left scars. But thanks to Kenny she now understood that she was capable of healing properly. She was standing a little taller both mentally and physically to. She wasn't looking at the ground. Instead she was looking forward to her destination.

Heidi entered the restaurant and noticed the restaurant was maybe at 10% capacity. She noticed that the employees were working hard. After the buff Kenny gave her,she felt inspired. She put her school work on hold and headed towards the kitchen.

Heidi entered and began to greet all the workers who were practically family to her.

The first person she saw in the room was a young Latin women with curly black hair pulled into a pony tail. Then a young white man with short blonde hair. And in the back organizing something with a clipboard was a young African American man with a shaved head.

"Hey guys." Heidi states in a positive tone

"Hello señorita Heidi."

"What's krakin"

"Sup Heidi"

"Would you guys like any help."

"Ummm we aren't at near full capacity...agin."

"Well what about closing. I can pick all that up."

"I don't know if yo pops will be cool with that."

"Don't worry,I'll tell him I got it. That way you guys can leave early. I'll make sure you can." Heidi said in an innocent tone

The workers were happy to hear this. And not just because they got to leave early. But because they noticed the drastic change in Heidis personality pre and post Cartman. They were happy to see her go out of her way to do stuff for others. And with a positive vibe to boot.

Heidi took her beanie off to ensure that she didn't ruin it in anyway. She put on a spare apron and headed towards the sink to wash dishes.

"So senora, what's with this change in character?" said Marta(the Latin women).

"What? I love you guys. I'm more than happy to do it for you guys" Heidi said.

"I mean, with the attitude. It's good to see you having the go getter attitude,no? Did you do something? Did you meet someone?"

Heidis mind automatically went to the moment she hugged Kenny. She blushed a little bit just thinking about it. But there was more to it than just physical interaction with a handsome young man like Kenneth McCormick. She felt like someone told her what she needed to hear rather than just telling her she made mistake. That she should have just walked away. But that wasn't in her charcter. Kenny both understood and completely respected what Heidi had tried to do with her time with Cartman. And he didn't know her nearly as long as the people she was working with now.

"Well I huh…"Heidi stuttered

"I see,it's a young man?"

"Well..uhhh...maybe not"

"Is it...a young lady? If that's how you roll now,we love you none the less."

"NO! It's not a young lady. I just made a friend with someone and found something I didnt expect."

"Ooo I see."

Hours later, the staff is clocking out. They say their goodbyes to Heidi. She mobs the table and cleans the tables with effeciency. She makes sure that all silver ware, platters, and cutlery are washed and ready for tommorow. She begins to think about what Kenny must be doing right now. Was he at the building across from her? He's a minor just like her so he has to be doing basic stuff like she was doing. it's funny how that all works she thought. How can someone be doing something so similar,so close, be somebody she never even had a conversation with?

After finishing her work, she put the apron back where she grabbed it and put her beanie back on.

She was quiet happy with the job she has done. She thought she'd go and inform her dad about the great job she'd had done.

She walked into his office. He appeared to focused on something. He was going between writing something down and looking back at a computer.

"Hey daddy."

"Hey sweetie."

"I would really like to tell you something that I think you'd really enjoy."

"Umm can it wait sweet heart,I really need to take care of this."

"But dadd-

"Please Heidi,it's really important. We'll talk later,alright?"

"But aren't I important to you? And it could eliminate stress form what your-

"Heidi I just need to do this. Please"

"I really worked hard to-

"HEIDI! If I don't take care of this right now,we are FUCKED. So please, not right now. Ok?"

Heidi now understood what the problem was. The restaurant had a bit of rough start and needed a bit of help proliferating. So had a lot on his plate from providing for his family to ensuring that people got the pay they deserved.

Heidi held her head low and nodded.

"Ok...thank you." said

Heidi proceeded to walk out of the office. She began to cry. Not Harding sobbing, but out of a disappointment. She wasn't upset with her father. She really couldn't be. He was just trying to ensure that the family and his employees had a stable income. But,still. She had worked hard today and felt like she had come along way from the way she felt this morning. And she wanted to convey that to her father.

Heidi looked at a ladder that headed up towards the roof. She had used that a lot especially with the way she felt recently.

Heidi climbed up the ladder and open up the hatch that led up to the roof. She began to walk towards the edge of the building and she looked down.

"Yeah right"she thought

Heidi knew that her existence meant something to people around her. She also wasn't that dramatic. Although her interaction with others today would beg to differ.

She looked up at the stars in the night sky. She began to recognize how bright they were. How she could never truly make out the colors they were. She also noticed how they seemed so close yet so far away. She was about to sit down and admire the stars when she felt something touch her back. She spun around with suprise and began to hear a gruffly voice when she lost her balance.

"You shouldn't stand that close to-

She began to fall. She could feel the blood rush through her body. She thought that this may be it. She closed her eyes and braced for some sort of impact when she felt something grab her and pull her back on the roof. That something pulled her in to its chest.

Heidi was still in shock from almost falling to her death that she didn't notice how close she was with person who had saved her. She soon turned her attention to the face of her savior. It was a hooded man with a his mouth and eyes were visible. She had no idea who this was. The only thing she recognized was the question mark that was stuck to the top of the his head.

"What I was gonna say was that you shouldn't stand that close to a ledge. But now you know that for yourself, don't you" mysterion said

It finally happened. The legend himself has made his entrance into the fic. I really hope to have the next chapter to be a bit shorter so I can skip the fluff and be able to make Kenny and Heidis relationship go past basic friends. Feel free to critique and review. Hope you all have a good day.
