Chap.5

Hey y'all,hoping you are doing alright. Hope you are enjoying the fic so far. I do t think there is a community dedicated to this pairing so I may need to make one for it so people have a place to find it. And if there's other KennyxHeidi stories out there,they can have place to be found. I havent found any so I'm just hoping for future writers to get in on it. Now sit back and relax because this is where shit gets juicey.

Shortly after ending his time with Heidi,Kenny began to walk towards Craig's house. After a short journey, he arrives at the tuckers house hold. He knocks on the front door. A tall blonde woman answers the door. This was indeed the Craig's mother or as Kenny knew her,the bush master.

"Hello I'm here to pick up my sister,Karen." Kenny said

"I'm sorry, Craig,his sister and her friend went to Tweek s house."

Kenny had forgotten that his sister wasn't just accompanied by Craig and his sister. But also by Craig's boyfriend Tweek.

"Alright thank you."Kenny stated

"No problem."

Kenny began the march towards Tweeks house and began to lament on what happened with Heidi. He did want her to open up to her but he didn't think that she would so quickly. He was happy for her, but he didnt want her to go about anything without feeling that she was ready. Kenny now guessed that she had been ready for a long time.

From all the actions she had taken with Cartman,Kenny knew Heidi was an expressive person. That's why her sad,introverted expression was really throwing him off. He was always into girls that were outgoing like that. Sure,he didn't mind the nice casual girl. But the outgoing property meant that they didn't care about what others thought.

"Why did I just equate her somebody I would be into?"Kenny thought

She was nice girl but the ramifications and complications it could have on his friend group could be catastrophic. And that's not including Cartman(if he even cared). And who knows how protective her friends are. There just seemed to be too many negatives.

Kenny began to let go of these thoughts as he arrived at Tweeks house. He knocked on the door. Craig was the one to answer.

"What's up man?"Craig said as he stared at Kenny.

"I'm here to pick up Karen."

"Alright I'll go grab her."

Kenny waited at the door way. Eventually his one and only sister walked out with all her things.

"Thanks agin man." Kenny said

"Ya,no problem. You still owe me 25 dollars by the way."

"Didn't know,know you were charging for babysitting…"

"Not for that,for Peru."

Kenny stopped dead in his tracks. And looked at Craig with a blank expression. He thought when he was revived,that the whole pan flute pandemic was lost to the reset his deaths always seemed to cause. Did Craig somehow rember? Did others?

"Wait Craig,did you-

And before he could react Craig closed the door.

"What were you gonna ask him Kenny?" Karen asked.

Kenny was just left in shock. He needed answers. Not just from Craig,but from any others. He quickly rebuffed this thought and turned his attention to Karen.

Kenny grabbed his sisters hand.

"It's nothing important. Let's just get home."

And with that,the McCormick siblings walked home. They came home to find neither of thier parents. They were either intoxicated or working. Kenny was hoping for the ladder.

Kenny's night proceeded with him and Karen watching tv and working on homework. Shortly afterwards,Kenny scrounged up some food for Karen and himself to eat. The ended up with some pop tarts. After ensuring he and Karen had all their school work done,Kenny noticed that his parents weren't home at their usual time when his father came crashing through the door. It made Karen jump.

His father had a beer his hand so Kenny just assumed he was in another drunken stupper. He stayed close to Karen as his father was unpredictable in this state. He had the abilities to hold his father back thanks to training as mysterion.

His father went up to them,Kenny ready to defend if he needed.

He gave them both a hug. Kenny didn't see that coming. He was just grateful that it wasn't violence in anyway. Karen seems grateful as well.

He let them go after a few seconds and points at them.

"You little shitssss are aa pain in my ass"

He then proceeds to move Kenny out of his way to his bedroom and fall asleep. As stated before,unpredictable.

A few more hours pass and hadnt come home from whatever work she had. It was soon bedtime. Kenny proceeded to tuck Karen in and ensure that she had fallen asleep.

Although thier parents really failed to be parents, they still loved thier children and wanted the best for them. It just sucks that it has to be this way. And that the town has a preconceived notion that they are nothing more than the white trash,poor people.

Kenny didn't have to help out at city walk tonight so he could do whatever he wanted. It was a mysterion type of night. Kenny quickly went into his room and changed into his trademark outfit. He hoped out his window and went around the back.

But before exiting the premises, Kenny made sure that Karen was still sleeping safe and sound. Kevin was there to just incase anything went down.

Kenny left the other side of the tracks and went to the outskirts of what is down town South Park.

He quickly found an open alley where he could scale a ladder to move around town without being spotted.

He began to run along the roof tops before stopping just incase he heard or saw something distressing. He planned on making his way to the police station to see if they may have needed his help. He stopped when he saw a figure of someone standing on the of one of the buildings. Kenny's mind assumed the worst(as per usual). He ran as fast as could. But as he got closer he noticed the more defined parts of this person. And that it was a she. She was looking upwards at the night sky.

In order not to disturb her and potentially suprise her,Kenny decided sneaking up on her was the way to go. He approached very quietly.

He tapped her and began to speak to her in the voice of his alias when she began to fall backwards.

Without any hesitation,Kenny anchored his foot to a lip in the ledge and grabbed both of her hands so he pull her into his chest.

He than began to recognize the girl. It was Heidi.

"What I was gonna say was that you shouldn't stand that close to a ledge. But now you know that for yourself,don't you." Kenny said in a rough voice.

Heidi was in absolute shock. It was combination of her almost faling off and dying. And the fact that she was in front of south parks one well known vigilante.

"Ooooo uhhh well...you shouldn't go about sneaking up on people"Heidi said

"Well I kind of have to. At least for what I do"Kenny replies.

They were both still locked together. Kenny recognized this sooner than Heidi and broke apart from her.

"Well mam is it anything I can help with?"

Heidi was surprised to hear this.

"I mean most people only stand near ledge if they intend to…"Kenny began to say

"Well I'm not like most people. I was just enjoying the night sky. I'm perfectly fine. It's kathardic for me. I'd rather be alone right now. So you can go back to running around in your spandex."

"Spandex?" Kenny thought to himself

First of all,he couldn't even afford spandex so ha! The jokes on her. Second,this really erked his hide. As much as he tried to resist the need for praise,he hated ungrateful people. Not because of how great he thought he was or it was a requirement on the victims part,but because he'd always seen the more fortunate people around him complaining about what they didn't have. He barely had anything and he was thankful for what he did have. Kenny believed if you have something,you should appreciate to the best of your abilities. You should just blow it off because it's inferior in any way.

"Alright listen here, I'm no bad guy. But I could have easily just ran by and you wouldn't have even noticed. Then you would have fallen and be paralyzed for the rest of your life. So just show a little respect,alright?" Kenny said with an attitude.

"Respect? Your the reason I almost fell! All you did was clean up your own mess!"Heidi retorted.

Kenny was shocked at how fast she countered what he had said.

Heidi gave him a bit of glare and then turned her attention back on the stars.

"Thanks anyway…"Heidi said in a soft voice.

As Kenny aknowledged this,he turned around to make his way to the police station.

"How do you do it mysterion?"

Kenny quickly looked back at Heidi who was still looking up at the stars.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean...how do you handle everything. You have the burden of the entire town on your shoulder at times. You play an invaluable role. How do you keep going? What keeps from not staying in bed in the morning?

What motivates your drive to be...to be a hero?"

What does motivate Kenny? There have been times that he just didn't get up. His life was practically on loop with the exception of it getting to certain points. He thought about saying something like hookers to just mess with her. But this needed to be serious.

"Well it doesn't start with how I handle anything. It starts with why I handle anything. For those who around me. Others go before me. And if they are happy and healthy,then I want to secure thier happiness. They keep me going." Kenny said in a low voice.

"If you ever feel like giving up...don't. Because once you do,that's when you'll lose what really matters."

Heidi turned her attention to mysterion and noticed the stoic look on his face.

"If I give up on myself,then I would be giving up on people I love right?"

"But only yourself, it's up to you to determine that your the one with the strength to do what needs to be done"

"I understand"

Kenny then smiled and nodded. After a few seconds Kenny turned away from Heidi and got ready to leave.

"Wait!"

He stopped agin.

"Ya?"

"Thanks myst...genuinely"

Kenny had never heard that one before. Most people just refered to him as mysterion when they interacted with him with the exception of Karen calling him guardian angel. To Kenny,Myst sounded like the nick name of someone who was mature. And kind of sexy. Kenny dug it.

"No problem."he said as he waved her off with two fingers.

Kenny was about to start his journey to the police station when agin Heidi called agin.

"Hey wait."Heidi said

This time, Kenny faced her with a slight tweak in his brow due to being slightly annoyed.

"What?" Kenny said

"Can I get a selfie?"Heidi said with her phone in her hands.

"Hahaha..haha..no."

Kenny then pulled some fire crackers from his ultility belt an lit them off. Heidi was blinded by the light and by the time they were over,mysterion was gone from view.

She was a bit bewildered but she understood why he probably didnt want his picture taken. Heidi checked her phone and it was around the time she and her family would leave the restraunt. She had been up on the roof for longer than expected. She began to climb down the ladder and enter the inside of the restraunt. She saw her father locking some stuff down.

Heidi followed her dad outside where he locked the doors. They walked to truck.

They both entered with Heidi taking the passengers seat and her father obviously in the drivers. Neither one of them had said a word since Heidi came back in.

Her father started the truck and started driving when he spoke.

"Sorry I yelled Heidi,I just got a lot going on with keeping the business on it's feet."

"It's okay daddy. I understand"Heidi said

"Thank you buddy. I appreciate that."

A few seconds passed when tried to change the conversation.

"So what did you want to tell me?" said in a concerned voice.

"Ooo...well I helped out today in the kitchen. I also told everybody they could leave early if they wanted. I did I all the closing chores."

"Ooo really...that was very nice of you Heidi. Guess I also I hired a few bums aye." said in a joking tone.

"Hahah ya."

"Welp,I really appreciate you lending a hand in the business. Hopefully, It may be in your hands one day."

"Ya, Hopefully"Heidi said in a cheerful tone.

There it is ladies and gents. The intial interaction I envisioned for this fic. I hope you all enjoyed reading it. I plan to really get more into the other initial I had for this fic in order to build an insane climax. That and it would allow to develop a lot of the other characters such as Cartman, Karen, and others. Feel free to critique and review. Hope you all have are having a good day
