Chap.20

Hey guys, hope you are all doing well. We are entering the endgame folks of this part of the story. I don't have a scheduled date for when it will all end or anything. But I can't wait to write it. It's all connected. Anyway, I hope you all would consider reviewing and/or critique down below. I hope you all enjoy it.

A few days had passed since Heidi had set foot into Kenny's home. They continued the normal routine of talking. But for Kenny, that wasn't enough.

He loved hanging out with his friends. And sometimes Cartman. But, there was just something inside Kenny that kept telling him to be with Heidi. To talk to her and be around her.

But he did make a promise to his friends. And he was gonna keep it. And Kenny was fulfilling that promise by walking home with them.

It was the usual thing with Cartman normally instigating the conversation. Bull shit or not, Kyle always had something to say. Stan and Kenny just added in when they felt like it. Karen and Ike normally stayed to themselves or had gotten another means of getting home. But both siblings were around today.

"Ya the birthday cake ice cream really slaps."Cartman said

"Really...well coming from your fat ass, that isn't surprising."Kyle said

Cartman shook it off. His mind was more focused on the potential of ice cream tonight.

"Eeehhh...I'm not the biggest fan of ice cream cake.."

Kenny added

"Trust me brah, you'll dig this shit man. It's totally different." Cartman followed up.

This was the first time since their little confrontation that Kenny and Cartman had acknowledged one another.

Karen noticed this and hoped it would mend their relationship somewhat.

The boys and their respective siblings continued to walk until they arrived in front of Cartman's lime green house.

"I'll see you guys later."Cartman said as he made his way to his door.

"See you later fat ass."Kyle said

"Bye Cartman."Stan added

"Later."Kenny said

Ike's vocabulary wasn't very developed and knew that his brother didn't have the best friendship with Cartman. So he never really spoke to or acknowledged him.

"See you tomorrow Eric."Karen added

"Later chief."Cartman replied

Kyle and Stan looked towards Kenny. They could tell that their friend was less than thrilled to see his little sister interacting with his frenemy.

Cartman walked into his house and the other boys made their way down their neighborhood.

First Stan and then Kyle and Ike.

As the McCormick siblings walked, Neither one spoke. Karen knew it was a bit of a reach to say something to Cartman and have Kenny not react.

She didn't like being at odds with her brother. Kenny had always been there to catch her and take care of her. The least she could do was respect his wishes and not acknowledged Cartman around him.

But Cartman had shown her kindness and wasn't afraid to speak frankly in front of her. Karen's age and her economic situation had normally made people hold back on speaking how they felt in front of her. Even Kenny frequently did so in front of her. The person she trusted with anything.

But Cartman didn't care and spoke frankly. It made Karen feel trusted and accepted by someone. Maybe he wasn't the best in terms of being a "good" kid, but he didn't need to be for her. Karen just wanted someone who was honest.

Still, She should at least find a compromise with her brother.

"I'm sorry Kenny…if it upset you"Karen said

Kenny looked at his sister with a confused look. He was upset that Cartman was "cool" with Karen. But he had other things on his mind.

"For what?"Kenny asked

"For saying goodbye to Cartman. I know you don't like him. But…"

Kenny smiled at his sister. Of course Kenny never trusted Cartman. Especially after Kenny had found out the truth. But Karen was her own person. Kenny knew that he wouldn't always be around to protect her so he had to trust that her judgement was good enough on her own.

And it didn't help that Cartman also tied to Heidi and could prove to be problematic if Kenny ever decided to get with her.

Kenny was also very self aware. Although he had still made time for her, he began to see that he may be focusing on Heidi over Karen. And he never wanted Karen to feel like she didn't matter.

"It's...it's okay Karen. Just be smart like I know you are. And make your own decisions."Kenny told his younger sister.

Karen smiled in relief. She didn't want to get in an argument with her brother.

"Okay Kenny, I promise."Karen said

"Good girl."Kenny replied.

With everything out on the floor, Karen felt much better. The McCormick siblings made their way home with little dialogue between the two.

Mainly because Kenny couldn't really focus on anything else besides what he was gonna about the whole situation.

The pair arrived home to find nobody else. Kenny assumed his brother was out bulls biting as per usual. His father was either working, passed out drunk, or out getting drunk. And his mother was probably doing something similar.

Kenny needed time to think. He was way too focused on Heidi and needed an outlet or a nap.

"Hey Kare...I uu...need to take a nap for a little while. Wake me up if you need anything,"Kenny said

"Ya..of course..Sleep well Kenny."Karen responded

Kenny began to walk to his room when he realized something. Kenny walked towards Karen and gave her a hug.

"I love you Karen..Just know I do what I do because I care about you."Kenny said

Karen was surprised but had no problem returning her brother's love and care.

"Of course, I love you too Kenny."Karen responded

Kenny broke the hug and smiled. Karen smiled back.

Kenny then made his way to his room and fell on his bed and just stared at his ceiling.

"What the shit am I in?"Kenny thought to himself.

"How would it even go down? Would I just ask? Would there have to be rules we would need to set? And what about Cartman? Fuck..what about Kyle? I know he said he was cool, but still. We should respect his feelings, right?"

Kenny rubbed his temple.

"Fuck."Kenny said to himself

The only question that Kenny could find an answer to kept ringing in his head. Was he in love with Heidi?...Ya.

He just couldn't stop thinking about her. The way she smiled, the way she would wink, the way she would laugh, the way she would play with the ends of her hair when she was embarrassed.

Every little thing, Kenny loved it all. It was Heidi. The Heidi he had grown to love.

Kenny rolled onto his side and stared at his wall. With his finger, Kenny began to write something on the wall. H.E.I.D.I

It wasn't actually on the wall. But it was ingrained within Kenny's subconscious.

"Fuck!"Kenny told himself.

"What makes her so different? I've liked girls before and I never went through this soppy shit…"Kenny thought

Kenny decided the best way to deal with this was just to close his eyes. Kenny rolled back onto his back and shut his eyes. He uttered one last word…

"Heidi.."

(Several hours later)

Kenny woke up with a dry throat. It kind of stung at first and made it hard to breath. His lips were also a bit chapped.

"Gotta hydrate more often" Kenny said to himself

Kenny got up and took off his signature jacket. He felt a bit warm and didn't want the coziness of his jacket to put him back to sleep.

Kenny tuners and looked out his window to see that sky was dark and that stars had fallen into the sky.

Kenny really needed to time his naps. It was time he could hang out with Karen or his friends.

Kenny got up from his bed and headed towards the restroom for a quick visit to the toilet and maybe a quick mouthful of water from the faucet.

After glugging down some water that came out of a questionable faucet, Kenny decided to check in on Karen.

She hadn't woken him up for any reason so Kenny would have to assume that she had eaten already. At least he could hope. Maybe she was awake.

Kenny knocked on his sister's door.

"Kare? You awake?"Kenny asked

He received no response.

Kenny opened the door only to see Karen sleeping. There was no sign of Kevin.

Kenny smiled knowing that Karen was safe. But he was a little disappointed in himself. Even without the stress of what could happen with Heidi, he still had many other responsibilities.

From his friends and city walk, to Karen and Mysterion, Kenny still needed to balance his time. And throwing Heidi in too the mix just made it more chaotic. But, maybe Heidi could help.

Kenny thought it was best to let Karen sleep. He closed her door and looked down the hallway.

He saw his father sitting in his signature chair and drinking a beer. His mother was laid out along the couch. Both just watch tv. They seemed harmless enough.

With Karen asleep and his parents at peace, Kenny decided it was Mysterion time.

Kenny quickly went to his room and put on his gear. After veiling his hood over his face, Mysterion exited his room through his window.

As per usual, Kenny peeked in on his sister ok last time to make sure she was alright(y'all know the drill.) He also peeked in on his parents. Still not fighting, a nice change of pace for Kenny,

Kenny then made his way to downtown South Park. This time he passed by the bus stop that he would go to with his friends.

Like any other kid, Kenny would do what you would have to do in the face of any sign or anything within jumping distance.

With his left hand Kenny jumped up and slapped the street crossing sign.

Kenny smiled at his own stupidity.

After which Kenny headed into downtown. He stayed in the shadows and went into the signature alley he always went down and climbed up the ladder that led to the top.

Kenny began to traverse the rooftop. As he vaulted around, he began to recollect that he was forgetting something but he couldn't remember what.

"MYST!"Someone yelled out.

Kenny stopped dead in his tracks. He looked around for who had uttered those words.

After a quick one eighty, Kenny looked to see that a girl with brown hair and wearing a red beanie had called his "name". A name that made him feel a certain kind of way.

Kenny turned to Heidi and gave a peace sign.

"Sup."Kenny said in his gruff voice. Kenny got ready to leave. He couldn't let her distract him.

Heidi followed her arms and pouted.

"Come on Myst. Is that all? I know you are busy and all but I have got stuff to tell you."Heidi said

Kenny looked at Heidi with intrigue. He decided to indulge. He really couldn't help it.

With much athleticism, Kenny scaled down the roof. Heidi was still impressed with Mysterion's skill.

"So what is it?"Mysterion asked.

"Myst...we are closer than for you to ask a question like that. I'm not one of your criminals."Heidi said

Heidi grabbed Kenny's hands to reassure him. Kenny felt bad now.

"I'm..I'm sorry. How's it been?"Kenny questioned in a more genuine way.

"There. There's the Myst I know. Well...I did what you said."Heidi said

Heidi let go of his hands.

Kenny had a hard time thinking about "what he said". Kenny's mind settled on one thing. He then smiled at Heidi.

"Well, I never told you to be useful to someone. That was all you Heidi."Kenny followed with

"Still, if you hadn't been there and shown me the way, I wouldn't have been able to find my way."Heidi said

"Nonsense, I'm just some Joe Shmoe. You're the real hero."

Heidi giggled. She didn't expect a goofy word like Joe Shmoe to be in Mysterion's vocabulary. It kind of reminded her of someone else's way of speaking. Heidi couldn't pin down which person it was.

"Well...here...I wanna give you something. Just stay here real quick."Heidi told Mysterion.

Heidi then turned and went into the building. Kenny was never really rewarded for his heroism and he didn't expect any in return. The only thing he needed was to guarantee safety of innocence.

Kenny began to think about how impressed Heidi was with abilities when scaling down the side of the building. Maybe he could get in another way.

Kenny noticed a gas pipe on the side of the building. He thought up an idea and ran towards the pipe.

After a minute or two, Heidi came back out with a grocery bag. She looked around looking for Mysterion.

"Myst...are you there?"Heidi said aloud

Heidi looked around trying to find Mysterion.

"Did he leave?"Heidi thought to herself

She knew he had a responsibility to the city but she didn't think he was the type to vanish. Did she scare him off?

"Don't do this to me Myst…"Heidi whispered to herself, clenching the plastic bag to her chest.

Heidi began to scan around the alley in desperation. She was feeling worried.

Out of nowhere, something large dropped in front of Heidi. She was about to scream before she noticed what it was.

It was Mysterion who had pulled off a generic superhero landing.

"Nailed it."Is what Kenny would have said.

But there was only one thing Kenny could think of at this moment.

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK! My FUCKING KNees!"Kenny shouted

Heidi put the bag down and came to Mysterion's side. He was hunched over and started to fall on his butt.

"Oo my god! Are you okay? Do you need me to call someone?"Heidi said with concern

"No...I just need a second. They make it look easy and painless in the movies. But it fucking destroys your knees."Mysterion said.

Kenny had failed to realize how much distance he had gotten by scaling the gas pipe. He wasn't as high as the rooftop. But you definitely don't want to jump from those heights, especially when trying to do superhero landings.

"Are you sure that you're okay?"Heidi asked

Kenny got up. He also kicked his legs around to make sure they still worked. His knees did ache a little but it was nothing he couldn't shake off.

"Ya...I'll be fine..just gotta remember not to do that again."Mysterion said as he stretched out.

Heidi was relieved. She didn't want to have to treat Mysterion and half to call an ambulance. She wasn't the best blood and gore.

Heidi then developed an angry look on her face.

"Well good. I thought you ditched me and then you went and pulled that stunt. And almost hurting yourself in the process. Shame on you."Heidi stated

Kenny smiled. Heidi sounded like such a mom.

"My bad. I was just trying to be impressive."Kenny responded

"Well, don't be impressive. Be smart."

"Alright, I will."Kenny said

Heidi walked to and grabbed her bag. Kenny was confused. He expected something smaller. Or something a bit more metaphorical.

"Here, hope you don't plan on doing much tonight. Heidi said as she handed Mysterion the bag.

Kenny opened the bag and peered inside of it. It looked like there was a tortilla or something. Kenny was yet again confused.

"It's rye bread. We had some left over. Couldn't think of much else."Heidi said

Kenny closed the bag and looked at Heidi with a smile. It was pretty obvious Heidi couldn't think of much in the moment. But Kenny appreciated it none the less.

"It's weird considering how long I've seen you. I feel so connected to you but I know so little about you."Heidi followed up

"Well...I unfortunately have to keep it that way."Mysterion said

"It's okay, I understand."Heidi said

Kenny felt that it was a bit unfair that he knew who Heidi was and she didn't know was under the mask of Mysterion.

"I appreciate that thought though. It's nice to feel appreciated. Thank you."Kenny said

"Well, I appreciate you and everything you are so…"Heidi said, not realizing how much of a fan girl she may have sounded like

Kenny blushed. Heidi did as well. Not in tally from the words she had said but the feelings she may have had for Mysterion.

Even though she knew so little, couldn't help it. She did indeed find interest in the caped vigilante.

Upon realizing what she said, Heidi grew embarrassed and felt the need to apologize.

"I'm sorry! I just-uu...didn't know how to properly word my appreciation."Heidi said frantically.

"It's okay. It happens to all of us."Mysterion said, trying to compose himself.

The air was now awkward. Kenny figured he'd change that.

"So...your friend doing better?"Mysterion asked

"Ooo..ya..I was able to help him. He had to deal with some stuff with my shitty ex."Heidi followed up

"That's unfortunate. Was he jealous?"Mysterion asked in order to conceal his identity.

"No, they had pre existing issues before I was even in the picture."Heidi followed

"Ooo well...hope they can realize what they are doing has effects."

"Yes. I do too."Heidi said

Kenny really needed to find a solution to this whole Heidi situation. And one where Heidi didn't get hurt.

He didn't give a rats ass about Cartman. And since Kenny was immortal, it doesn't really matter what happened to him. Unless of course, everything where to reset and he could lose his time with Heidi.

The best outcome is that they keep Cartman in his place and Kenny could somehow get with Heidi. But that was easier said than done.

But not impossible. Seeing as Kenny and his friends had accomplished many feats of incapability before in their lives, maybe he could pull this one off.

Kenny needed to think. Think of a way to solve this issue. It was a good thing Heidi had given him the bread. Now he had an excuse not to go around being a vigilante. The weekdays normally lacked crime anyway. The officers in South Park needed something to do.

After an awkward pause, Kenny decided it was time to leave.

"Thank you for the bread, but I think I need to go now."Mysterion said

"Alright be safe out there."Heidi responded

"I shall."

Kenny began to turn away when he felt something grab his right arm.

"Hey what the-

Before he could utter another word, Heidi planted a kiss onto Kennys cheek.

After giving Mysterion his goodbye kiss, Heidi let go of his arm.

"Promise me you'll be safe, alright?"Heidi said

Kenny put his hand on his cheek. Heidi had really caught him off guard.

"Myst?"Heidi said

"Oo-Oo ya. I promise."Mysterion responded

"Seriously! I mean it."

"Alright. I promise. Cross my heart."

Kenny noticed the vulnerable look on Heidi's face. It was the same one she had made all those times before.

Heidi was within about a foot of Kenny. There was a full moon out and it made Heidi's face glow and made her features stand out.

Kenny couldn't help but think about what it might be like to have more than just a kiss on the cheek. He would be lying if he said that the temptation was there.

Kenny knew it was wrong. To try and steal a kiss from her would bring shame to his moral code.

"Okay…"Heidi said

"I'll see you around."Mysterion said

"You as well."

Kenny made his wall to the wall of the alley way and began to scale it. He made it to the roof.

His knees still hurt a little. But Kenny was still able to get around.

It was hard to vault and get around while carrying goods around. This is one of the reasons Kenny didn't upgrade his gear and outfit. That and he really couldn't afford it...financially.

Kenny looked around for a place to stop and indulge in Heidi's gift. He noticed the moon light reflecting off the water at Starks pond.

Kenny figured that place would be good as any. After taking his time to get down off the roof nearest the pond(in order to not jack up his knees any further),Kenny made his way to the nearest bench.

Kenny took a seat. He then took off his hood and removed his mask. Kenny also took off his gloves. It wasn't cold enough to wear them. He didn't need people walking up and questioning why Mysterion was on the bench with a bag. He looked like a homeless person.

Kenny looked at the pond. The moon was so bright that it made the lake reflect a shade of alabaster white. He then looked up to see the moon hang with the stars. Looking so close but so far away.

Kenny smiled at the beauty of it all. The sky and the lake. It reminded him of Heidi. Kenny's smile turned into a frustrated frown.

Kenny ruffled his hair.

"Fuck...what the shit am I gonna do?"Kenny said to himself.

Kenny took the hands out of his hair.

Out of nowhere, Kenny felt a sharp pain like someone had thrown a small stone hit the side of his head. But it wasn't the pain that hurt. It was the stinging feeling almost like someone tried to burn him or something.

Between fucking up his knees and this, he should have just shot himself and restarted.

"Hope you aren't just planning on sitting there like some ass sucker."Kevin said

Kevin walked up to the bench. Kenny was rubbing the mark which was just a little blob of grey on the side of his head.

Kevin took a seat on the opposite side of the bench.

"So what's up Mystrogen? Find any bad guys tonight?"Kevin asked

"It's Mysterion and no. Also, what the fuck? Couldn't just say hi like a normal person?"Kenny responded

"Eee..we both know that our family is far from boring."Kevin followed up.

"Sure...when did you start smoking?"

" Maybe a little less than a year ago. Only really do it with my buddies."

"Damn, reminds me of when dad smoked."

Kevin rolled his eyes. He didn't like being compared to his parents. Even if it was by his own brother.

Kevin decided to change the subject.

"So, what shit do you need to do?"Kevin asked

"Shit?"Kenny questioned

"Ya, you seemed all bent out over something before I came over here."

Kenny knew he was lucky at that moment. It was just him and his brother and they could just talk. And he was offering his help no less.

As soppy as it sounded, Kenny did wish he had his brother around to talk to and be around. Instead of relying on what little life advice his parents gave.

But because of that, Kenny had some hang ups. And now was the time to address them.

"No."Kenny said

"No what?"Kevin responded

"No...you can't just expect me to be open with you after all the times you've been secretive with me."

"So what? I have my own shit. I don't need to tell you."

Kenny snapped. He knew that was all bull shit.

"We all have our own shit Kevin! We all have to deal with it. And you expect me to sit here and listen to you help me with mine? When you won't even come home sometimes? When you go days, almost weeks without speaking to me or Karen. Fuck No!"Kenny said with much intensity.

"O my bad Ken! Sorry I don't want to rot in that shit hole with the rest of you. That I actually have a place to go."Kevin responded

Kenny furrowed his brow in anger at his brother's response.

"That's the fucking problem! You ditch us to be stupid with your friends! And leave Karen all alone with our parents. Parents who know have no control of themselves when they aren't sober!"Kenny said

"Ooo grow a fucking spine Kenny! I was dealing with that shit when I was younger than you. And none was there for me and grew up and out of it. Don't be so weak!"Kevin followed up with

"I'm FINE! It's Karen that suffers! I've had to step up and be the oldest sibling! The job of trying to hold everything together. But that's not my job! It's yours! Instead, you act like our shit head parents and ditch us every night!"

"Get down of your fucking high horse! You're no better than ME! You might as well be my little doppelgänger! You did all that shit too until you saw what it did to Karen! You are Me! And you're gonna be just like me!"

"Well then, if I'm you, then your dad! You fucking up just like him and gonna end up just like him!"

"Don't pull that lame shit on me!"

"What's the matter? Don't like being like him?!"Kenny said in a mocking way

"SHUT THE FUCK UP KENNY!"Kevin replied with rage.

"WELL IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE HIM, STOP ACTING LIKE-

Before Kenny could finish, Kevin turned toward him and landed a punch on Kenny's right cheek. It made contact right under Kenny's eye.

Despite the force, Kenny managed to stay seated on the bench.

Kenny could feel the pain from the punch. It was definitely bruise worthy. But it was the surprise that shook Kenny more than anything.

As someone who had chosen the way to the fist of the way of words, Kenny knew it could just get too frustrating to talk it out. Sometimes you needed to punch it out.

Still, he really didn't expect his own brother to do it.

"I'm not. Like. Him."Kevin said, still surprised at his own action

"Well like I was about to say, then stop acting like him."Kenny replied

A little twinge kicked inside of Kevin. It was telling him to hit Kenny again. Kevin resisted the urge.

Kenny accepted one simple fact in life: the only thing that never changes is change. Although his immortality seemed to bend that rule, it still held true.

From the town he lived in to his closest friends, everything changed. Fads came and went. People would come in and out of his life. And years would pass(however slowly.). But the one thing that never really seemed to change was the home he came to. His parents still fought and did any number of drugs. They would forget about Kenny and his siblings from time to time. Although he had seen them in many different ways, they were still the same family he had always had.

That held true until this very moment. A moment where his brother had hit him. A moment that showed that they had all changed right in front of his eyes without him ever noticing. Kenny could now see that his family had changed so much that he could see his brother change into his own parents.

Neither McCormick brother could help but be silent. A line had just been crossed that they never knew was possible. And one that neither one of them would accept.

Kevin knew his brother was right. He was failing in the same way his parents had done. To the point he wasn't even able to have a genuine conversation about his own faults without it getting physical.

Kevin wasn't just gonna leave though. That would be proving his brother's point. Then Kevin remembered a little something Kenny had said to him when he caught Kenny sneaking out as Mysterion.

A few minutes had passed. Kenny was looking at the lake and had his hand pressed against his cheek while Kevin just looked up at the stars.

"So, how was your day?"Kevin asked out of nowhere.

At first Kenny was confused and surprised. His face showed that. But then it clicked.

"It was fine. Just dealing...with some shit."Kenny said with a slow exhale. He really didn't want to sound like his brother in this instance.

A few seconds passed with Kevin not responding.

"It's a girl, isn't it?"Kevin asked

"How did you-

"It's always a girl."Kevin followed up

Kenny couldn't help but agree with his brother.

"So what about her man? Is she out of your league? Is she dating someone? Does she like someone else?"Kevin questioned

"Well, it isn't any of those things. It's just her ex is a real asshole and it's made it so hard to go forward with her as we don't want to worry about that kind of thing."Kenny said

Kevin folded one of his legs over the other.

"Are you friends with the guy?"Kevin said

"Well…"Kenny hesitated to say

Kenny really didn't consider Cartman his friend. At least not anymore. There were times he really wanted to be able to call Cartman his friend. They had been through so much together and Cartman had proven to be helpful. But, he kept growing more and more evil as well. Especially since he had been aware of Kenny's immortality all along. But it would probably be better if he told him Kevin that they were friends as that would lead to a less hostile situation between himself and Cartman.

"Yes."Kenny answered

"Well, if he wasn't, I was gonna say you should lay down the law and let him know what's gonna happen if he doesn't respect your wishes. But since he's your friend, I would say to just talk to him and hope he understands...even if it comes to blows."Kevin said. Feeling a hit awkward saying the last part.

It wasn't gonna be that easy nor was it ever. But, hearing Kevin's life advice was still nice.

Kenny developed a smile.

Kevin decided to keep the balm rolling and distract from what he had done.

"And what about your girl? Would she need some console as well?"Kevin asked

"Your girl"Kenny thought. Hearing someone say like that Heidi was gonna be with him in that way felt weird. But also felt...exciting.

"No, she'll be fine. She would probably be happy if it ended in a peaceful manner."Kenny said

"That's good."Kevin followed up

"Ya, thanks man."

A silence fell between the two and neither one of them did not know if they should apologize first.

Kevin decided now was the moment where he would prove himself as the older brother.

"Sorry Kenny...that I punched you. I just got caught up in the heat moment. And I guess it's not easy for me to hear."Kevin said

"It's okay. Sorry that I called you out so abruptly man. I was just frustrated."Kenny followed up

"It's alright. You were right anyway. I just got so caught up from wanting to be different than them that I thought being away from them would solve my issue. I never really figured that it would be that bad for you and Karen. I guess by not wanting to be them, I inadvertently turned into them."

Kenny looked at the ground. He had no answer for Kevin.

He decided he could only do one thing.

Kenny got up and placed his gloves and mask into the bag with the rye bread. Kenny turned to his brother and offered him a fist bump.

"Well it isn't too late to change Kev. Come home man."Kenny offered with a smile.

Kevin was reluctant but caved. Kevin met Kenny with a fist bump. He got up from his seat on the bench and began walking with his brother.

Kevin hasn't noticed the bag at first. Did Kenny have drugs?

"What's in the bag?"Kevin asked

"It's rye bread."Kenny responded

"What the fuck is rye bread?"

The two McCormick brothers made their way home Kenny had to assume what the bread was so special.

Chapter 20 finished. I think I've done it. One thing I have noticed is that most fanfic writers give up on story or no longer have time to write one. Everyone has their own reasons and I respect them. But it seems that there is some sort of Chapter 10-18 chapter hump they need to get over to properly finish the story. I was originally gonna make the interaction between Kenny and Kevin a lot less hostile but I'd figure that we all get mad once and a while. And felt a bit more realistic in terms of tension and hang ups. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter. I hope to publish more soon. I also hope you would consider reviewing and critiquing down below. I hope you all have a great day(or night based on where you live.
