Chapter 3

Carla POV

Carla was getting worried. They had walked a few minutes, but Wendy hadn't caught up with them yet. She was fidgeting with her paws.

"Hey Carla," Happy asked seductively while walking next to her. "Would you like a fish?" He tried to hand her a fish, but she swatted it out of his hand. "What? You don't like fish?"

"Stop trying to flirt with me you imbecile," she scolded him. He shrunk away to talk to Lucy. "Besides, its been a couple of minutes, and Wendy isn't back yet."

"Yeah, it's been like ten minutes already," said Gray.

"Do you think something happened to them?" asked Sherry. Natsu stopped moving, and began sniffing the air.

"No, they're right behind us," Natsu frowned. "I want to smash something already!" As if to confirm his statement, both Makoto and Wendy ran up to the group. They were panting and sweating buckets.

"Wendy!" exclaimed Carla. She ran up to her tired girl. "What happened? Are you hurt?"

"Um, we sort of ran into an Oracion Sies member," Wendy said weakly.

"You what!?" exclaimed Erza. "And you defeated them?"

"It was mostly Makoto," replied Wendy. She seemed a little uncomfortable to talk about the fight. Is Wendy hiding something from me? Thought Carla.

"I didn't do that much," said Makoto. A huge shadow appeared overhead, distracting everybody.

"What's that?" asked Lyon as he looked up.

"Christina," said Eve proudly.

"Blue Pegasus's magic bomber!" announced Hibiki. He turned to the group. "Okay, lets split up and look around." Before anyone could move, multiple explosions appeared on the Pegasus, and it careened down into the Woodsia.

"W-what just happened?" Wendy asked scared.

"I don't believe it," said a dumbfounded Hibiki. Natsu suddenly sniffed again, and got into a fighting stance.

"Somebodies come out of the explosion," warned Natsu. Out of the smoke walked the members of Oracion Sies. The woman named Angel looked pretty banged up and bitter. I wonder why she looks like that. Questioned Carla. Then Carla realized who Angel was staring at: Makoto and Wendy. Oh.

Normal POV

'The maggots have formed," said Brain.

"We saw right through your plans!" taunted Angel even though she was banged up.

"We defeated Jura and Iychia already!" said Gemi.

"Impossible!" exclaimed Lyon and Eve.

"I didn't expect you to reveal yourselves," said Erza. Natsu and Gray smiled.

"I can hear you," said Cobra.

"Now that you've come to us-," started Natsu.

"-We don't have to find you!" finished Gray. Natsu and Gray charged at Brain.

"Racer, destroy them," ordered Brain.

"Okay," said Racer. He zipped out of view, and reappeared behind the two boys and kicked them in the back. Everyone charged at Oracion Sies, except Makoto, Wendy, and the two cats.

"Wendy," Makoto said as he grabbed her wrist.

"What?" asked Wendy.

"I think their target is you," said Makoto.

"W-why?"

"I have a hunch." Makoto gestured for her to hide behind a nearby rock, then activated his armor. By the time he turned back around to face Oracion Sies, all the other wizards were sprawled on the ground.

"Geez, they lasted longer in the anime," he muttered to himself.

"So, you're the man who defeated Angel," said Brain.

"What about it?" asked Makoto.

"There's something special about you," said Brain.

"I can't hear you," added Cobra.

"So we're taking you with us," stated Brain. "Hot Eye."

"Money makes us stronger!" Hot Eye said. The ground under Makoto's feet turned to quicksand and Makoto began to sink.

"Magic Barrier!" yelled Makoto. "Spatial Manipulation Mode!" The ground solidified and he stopped sinking.

"What!?" Hot Eye gasped.

"I will have do this myself," Brain sighed. From his staff came out two beams of green energy and formed into hands. They grabbed Wendy and Makoto and began dragging them into the staff. They struggled to break free.

"Wendy!" yelled Carla as she chased after her.

"Carla!" Wendy yelled back. Happy grabbed Wendy's hand.

"What?" said Happy in confusion. Soon, Happy, Wendy, and Makoto were sucked into the staff.

"I have no need for these maggots," he said shot a barrage of green beams at the mages. He turned around, and began vanish.

"Sherry!" yelled Lyon as he grabbed Sherry.

"Lucy!" said Natsu as he covered Lucy.

"Rockiron Wall!" yelled Jura and reformed the earth to block the beams.

"Jura!" yelled Sherry. "You're okay!"

"Let me at them!" Natsu yelled in anger as be began to run into the forest. His scarf was grabbed by a flying Carla and he tumbled to the ground.

"We can't defeat them by running randomly at them," said Carla.

"She's right," said Jura. "The enemy is stronger than we anticipated."

"We need to regroup," stated Ren.

Happy POV

Don't hurt her!" exclaimed Happy. "She's just a little girl!" Brain simply picked him up by the head and began to squeeze. Ow, I hope Natsu saves us quickly. thought Happy. Then he realized they were in Oracion Sies temporary base.

"Stop!" said Wendy's muffled voice. Brain smiled and tossed Happy back on the ground. She crawled over to him to make sure he was okay. "Are you okay Happy?"

"Yeah, I'll get you out of here!" he said bravely.

"You mean Natsu's going to get us out of here," said Makoto. He was tied up into the wall.

"Be quiet!" said Happy.

"Stop fighting!" Wendy wailed. They clammed up.

"Hey Brain," asked Racer. "Who's the girl?"

"Is she related to Nirvana?" asked Cobra.

"How about you assholes shut up?" said Makoto in a serious tone. "Wendy, now!" Wendy closed her eyes.

"Sky Dragon Roar!" she yelled as a blast of wind knocked all of Oracion Sies backwards. Midnight noticeably stayed asleep. She could do this the entire time? Thought Happy. She said she didn't know any offensive magic!

"Oh no you don't!" said Racer as he ran behind Wendy and jabbed her pressure points.

"Uh!" Wendy said as she grunted in pain and fell to the ground.

"It looks like we're going to have to tie her up too," said Cobra sighing. A few minutes later, Wendy is tied up next to Makoto.

Normal POV

"Well that went well," muttered Makoto. Then he turned to Wendy. "Not because of you of course, its just my planned sucked."

"Hey Brain, mind answering my question?" asked Cobra.

"This little girl uses sky magic," Brain said.

"And?" asked Racer.

"She has healing capabilities," said Brain.

"A little girl, impossible!" exclaimed Cobra.

"Smells like money!" said Hot Eye.

"Now we can revive him," stated Brain.

"Revive who?" asked Happy. He wanted to know who it was.

"Racer, bring him here," said Brain.

"Okay, see ya," said Racer, then sped out of the cave opening.

"The rest of you except for Midnight, continue searching for Nirvana," said Brain.

"If we revive him, won't it be irrelevant?" asked Angel.

"Who are you talking about!?" asked Happy.

"Just in case, he doesn't release Nirvana," replied Brain.

"Who do you think he's talking about?" whispered Wendy.

"I have a feeling it is somebody who you owe," replied Makoto.

[One Hour Time Skip]

"Got him," said Racer. He heaved a massive metal coffin down.

"Good, you will now heal this man," said Brain.

"No, I would never!" exclaimed Wendy.

"Oh, but you will," said Brain as he revealed the coffins contents. Wendy and Happy gasped. "This is Jellal, and he knows where Nirvana is."

"You can't!" exclaimed Happy.

"But he saved me," whispered Wendy.

"What?!" asked a surprised Happy.

"Happy," said Makoto. "Let her decide if she wants to revive him or not."

"But Jell-" started Happy

"Let her decide," snapped Makoto. Happy opened his mouth, then closed it. Why is he so keen on letting Wendy decide? Happy wondered.

"I-I-I'm sorry," Wendy said. "I h-have to. H-he saved me."

"Midnight, unite her," Brain ordered. Midnight opened his eyes and got off his magic carpet. He walked over to Wendy and cut the ropes binding her. She stumbled toward Jellal's lacrima poisoned body and concentrated.

"Natsu, Wendy!" a voice called. Is that Natsu? Thought Happy.

"That's Natsu!" said Happy.

"Racer, go deal with him," said Brain. Racer nodded and ran outside.

Light blue pads suddenly appeared on Wendy's hands and she hovered them over Jellal's body. The lacrimas lines began to fade.

Natsu POV

"You idiot!" yelled Gray. "Do you want to give us away?"

"I was just-oof!" said Natsu. He was kicked in the back and all the air in his lungs went out. He looked up to see Racer in the tree. Seriously, when will this guy quit? He thought.

"I got this, go find them!" yelled Gray.

"You think I'd let you go?" said Racer as he raced down the tree. "Woah!" He slipped on a sheet of ice.

"Let's go Carla!" said Natsu, then turned around to find her unconscious. "What?" Natsu sweatdropped.

"Go, I got this!" yelled Gray as he formed a ramp to the bottom of the waterfall. Natsu grabbed Carla and jumped on the ice, riding it like a roller coaster. Carla screamed the entire way down. Once Natsu stopped at the bottom, he keeled over. He felt sick, then remembered that he needed to rescue Wendy, Happy and…...Makoto?

"Happy!" he yelled. "Wendy!" After a few seconds, he heard Happy's voice coming from an opening on his right. It was supported by bamboo stalks. Well that was easy. He said to himself. He ran inside, tailed by Wendy, only to come to an abrupt halt. What?! he thought. It can't be; I know he died! Wendy was crying on the floor next to the blue-haired man. The mystery man turned around.

"Jellal!?"
