Chapter 5

Lucy POV

"Umm, what happened to you?" Lucy asked tiredly. She still didn't fully understand what she was seeing. Why is Carla flying with Makoto? What happened when we left? Then she realized that Natsu was floating away.

"Hold on, I'm going to get Natsu," she said. Lucy waded through the water and grabbed his shaking hand. Come on, you got this Natsu!

"Um," said Makoto's voice. "You might want to reconsider your actions," Lucy looked up, and her face drained of all the color. Where had these rapid come from?

"Woah!" she yelled as she was dragged downstream with Natsu groaning on the raft. The raft skipped like a rock along the water. Lucy grabbed Natsu by the head and noticed they were about to fall into a waterfall.

"Look up!" yelled a voice. Lucy glanced up to see Makoto wearing some kind of armor and Wendy with Carla hovering over them. Makoto lowered himself to Lucy's level.

"Take my hand!" He exclaimed over the sound of the rapids. "I'll fly us up." She nodded. Even though Lucy had barely known Makoto, she trusted him as a Fairy Tail Wizard. Lucy grasped his hand, and Makoto strained to fly upwards.

"Jeez Lucy, what have you been eating?" he asked.

"I AM NOT FAT thank you very much!" she protested.

"Wendy, get to Mystogan!" yelled Makoto before they fell over the side of the waterfall. Why Mystogan?

Erza's POV

How am I going to face Jellal? Erza thought as she ran through the woods. Erza wondered how he was alive, but she trusted Natsu enough to know Jellal is alive. She could be hostile, be nice, or be like a stranger. She mostly focused on running towards the towering beam of light.

A few minutes later, Erza crashed through the tree line and found herself in a small clearing covered in rocks. A few feet in front of her, stood the man himself inspecting the light.

"Jellal?" she whispered. Jellal turned around, with an extremely confused look on his face.

"My name is…Jellal?" he asked. He lost all of his memory?! Erza took a step forward.

Stay back!" he yelled as he charged an energy beam.

"Don't hurt her Jellal!" said a voice. Erza turned her head to see Wendy with tears in her eyes with her hand extended towards Jellal. "She's your friend!"

"Friend?" he said this word as if it was foreign.

"I am Erza," stated Erza. She hoped her speech would help him remember. "I was your friend, but you turned mad, hurt your friends. You killed Simon, and if you are implying you forgot all for this, I will ram a sword through your heart." She waited for his reaction. Suddenly, tears began to form in his eyes.

"W-what did I do?" he sobbed.

Lucy POV

"Huh?" asked Lucy. She looked at her clothes to find they were changed. "When did I put these on?"

"I put these on since your previous clothes were inadequate," said Virgo standing by the river bank.

"Virgo!?" said a surprised Lucy.

"I also put clothes on Natsu," said Virgo gesturing to Natsu. "For the other one, he's been waiting for you to wake up." She nodded to Makoto with his armor on leaning on a tree.

"Ugh." Said Natsu. Lucy noticed that something changed.

"Hey, did the laser change color?" asked Lucy.

"Yes, while you were unconscious," explained Virgo. After hearing this, Natsu growled, then sighed.

"Thanks Lucy, that was a close one," thanked Natsu.

"What's with this?" asked Lucy. Natsu never acted like this.

"You really don't see that he likes you?" asked a dumbfounded Makoto.

"Could you not say that?!" she exclaimed.

"Anyways, we should go toward Nirvana ourselves," said a serious Natsu. A sudden shuffle could be heard from the trees.

Normal POV

Sherry stumbled out of the treeline. She had a glazed look on her face

"Sherry!" yelled Lucy. "You okay!" An uncomfortable silence ensued. Makoto muttered something under his breath.

"Finally," said Sherry. "I found the Fairy Tail Wizards." She raised her hands, but nothing happened. "Wah-oof!" Gray tackled her to the ground.

"What is wrong with you?!" yelled Gray as he restrained her.

"You killed Lyon!" she yelled in pain. As if on cue, Lyon, bruised and battered all over appeared behind them. The moment Sherry saw Lyon, her eyes widened and collapsed onto the ground. She lay there, a black energy flowed out of her and went to rejoin the main light in the sky.

"What was that?" asked Lyon.

"Nirvana's energy," said Makoto grimly. The ground suddenly began to shake. "Looks like it's about to blow any minute."

"Uh, what are talking about?" asked Lucy nervously. The ground began to crack.

"uh oh," said Gray. The ground burst upwards, rising like a dormant beast waiting under the ground.

"AHHH!" Lucy, Gray, and Natsu screamed. Makoto activated his jetpack and rose upwards. The three wizards were stuck on the leg of Nirvana as it rises. Makoto floated over and helped them up.

"Let's go!" yelled Natsu. The rest of the Fairy Tail wizards roared in agreement and began sprinting up the side of the leg. Makoto flew next to them. The small group zips up, leaving a mountain of dust behind them. Groan! The legs began to move, and everybody gripped onto the stone. Natsu developed a face of sickness.

"Come on!" demanded Gray. "Pull it together!"

"I got this," said Makoto casually. He ran over and grabbed Natsu's arm. Then he flipped him off the side of the cliff.

"W-what was that for?!" asked a flabbergasted Lucy.

"Just wait," said Makoto. As Natsu fell, a sudden streak of blue and white appeared and flew under Natsu. Natsu stopped falling and began to ascend. "Ok, I'm going to go with Natsu. You two go in that hole."

"Right!" said Lucy as she and Gray ran into Nirvana. Makoto wasted no time in racing after Natsu.

Cobra POV

"So this is the ancient relic?" muttered Cobra in awe. Sure the six of them had dreamt of this for years, but he never actually thought this was going to happen.

"Look at the world before me," gestured Brain to come over.

"As long as I stand upon King's Summit, I can move Nirvana to destroy Caitshelter!" announced Brain. He summoned a ring of yellow control circles. A sudden sparkle appeared in the sky.

"Huh?" wondered Cobra.

"Hahhhh!" yelled Natsu as he flew down at max speed into the main circle. It shattered into dust and faded away. It's him again! "Fire Dragon Roar!" yelled Natsu as a jet of flame blasted towards Brain. Brain looked shocked but had enough sense to put up a barrier.

"Cobra!" said Brain. "Stop him!". Cobra stepped onto his snake and launched into the sky. He punched Natsu in the face. Too easy.

"I'm not letting you near Brain," stated Cobra. Natsu's face suddenly contorted into a grin.

"Let's finish this!" he grinned and lit his hand. He flew forward, with his fist aimed for Cobra's face. Oh no, you don't! He waited until the last second, where Natsu switched directions and tried to hit his snake. Cobra kicked Natsu in the side of his body, and he was sent tumbling away.

"Ugh," coughed Natsu. "That hurt." He looked back at Cobra and grinned. So, you'rere enjoying this? Wondered Cobra.

Happy shook his head "Yeah, I was really dizzy." Cobra laughed and ordered Cubellios.

"Go, Cubellios!" The snake hissed in agreement and launched itself at Natsu. The duo followed Natsu, who threw fireballs at them to knock them out of the sky. After a few minutes of flying, Natsu stopped to survey the battlefield.

"I threw so many of them," said Natsu. "So I normally would have hit him at least once."

"Maybe you missed?" asked the blue cat.

"I already told you, your attacks can't touch me," said Cobra exasperatedly.

"Oh yeah?" challenged Natsu. "Then listen to this!" He flew at max speed, to only be smacked in the face by Cubellios's tail and slammed into the ground. Cobra frowned, annoyed this is all the famous "Salamander" didn't have anything else to offer. Then he noticed that he could still hear their thoughts. He motioned for Cubellios to follow Natsu. A few seconds later, he popped out from behind Natsu.

"This running is making all of this more exciting!" Cobra exclaimed as his snake bared his fangs.

"Ahh!" yelled Natsu and Happy as they jumped away. A few seconds later, Cobra could hear something.

"-hide right here and sneak attack him!" finished Natsu.

"Aye!" replied the talking cat. Stupid. They really don't get it, do they? Cobra chuckled. This was going to be more fun than he anticipated.

Brain POV

"Yes," muttered Brain. "You are much different from the others."

"How?" asked the boy in the white armor as he slashed his sword at Brain's staff. Brain jumped to the right and used his magic to blast the boy off Kings Landing. That fight was tougher than expected. Brain hadn't realized how powerful, if untrained the boy was. It had taken a while for him to break free of the boy's blocking magic. He was going to capture the boy after Caitshelter was obliterated. Brains smiled and laughed. He summoned the command circle. Nirvana took a step forward.
