Sequel to "Setting The Course": After a sneak attack on Earth by the Romulans, Enterprise leaves for deep space, searching for answers but they may find more than they expected to. Expect some hard SF and TnT romance along with a bit of military action.

Enterprise docks with a new species, and First Contact appears to go well. But not everything is as it seems. (Will be a return of OC Evelyn Jacobs from "Difficult Friendships", now an Ensign.)
