Chapter Nine: C-Rank Disaster – Bandits in Fire Country Cont.
The bandits who were carrying the limp and bound red-head clone walked down the road, and looked excited.
"The boss will surely reward us wonderfully for bringing this one in."
"Yeah!"
"Although... Should we give her a 'try'?"
"Are you a fucking idiot? The camp is so close now, and if we do the boss will realize that she is deflowered."
"Oh, right."
Akane growled, her blood almost boiling as she prepared to run forward, but Kakashi held a hand on her shoulder while they trailed from the treeline.
"Calm yourself Red... Don't act rashly." Kakashi had a hard look on his face as he watched and heard the bandit's conversation.
"How can you say that?" Akane demanded.
"Years of careful schooling of my emotions Red... Akane, listen. If you go there attacking right now, we will ruin any chance of catching the camp off guard."
"Sensei is right. It is only a Clone, and it would dispel anyways if they tried to do such a thing." Ryouken said as he jumped to the next branch.
"Yeah, and I would dispel it myself before it got that far." Was Naruto's response.
Kakashi nodded in his own agreement. "Your team is here for you... Let's go. I will want you to scout and tell me an approximate number of bandits once we reach their camp."
"Yes sensei..." Akane said after a few moments of silence, and the group of ninja's continued to jump through the trees.
(Almost half an hour later)
"We're finally here Chijin."
"Yeah... Hey Kobai!" Iyashii called out. "We're back, and we brought a new plaything!"
One of the guards on the wall of a large encampment looked over, and grinned widely. "Oh nice! Lemme open the gate. Take her right to the boss for his first dibs boys."
Chijin and Iyashii grinned at each other, and as the gates opened they walked in quickly.
"A large camp... There is more than thirty people here easily." Kakashi mused from his spot sitting on a tree branch with a pair of binoculars.
"Yeah... Are you sure it was wise to have Akane actually go around with her hair color?" Ryouken inquired from where he stood next to the silver-haired Jonin.
"She can handle herself, and besides. The Henge is a useful technique to temporarily hide your own hair and eye colors." Naruto pointed out from where he stood on a branch below the other two.
"So explain why you're a clone and your original actually decided to trail her?"
The Naruto with them paled. "Uh... He... Wanted to make sure that she was safe."
"A wise decision from your original." Kakashi stated. I do wonder how long until he realizes the original purpose of that technique for espionage missions... Oh well.
(With Naruto and Akane)
"You know I can sense you anyways right?" Akane asked quietly.
"Yeah I know..." Naruto said while moving closer to keep up with the natural redhead, except her hair was currently dark brown from a Henge. "But we are better off travelling in pairs right? Safety in numbers."
"True enough... This camp is huge though. The reports of maybe thirty bandits were wrong." Akane stated after they completed a half circuit around the camp.
"What do you mean?" Naruto asked.
"Well... The size for one." Akane gestured around. "And the fact I feel at least one hundred people inside. We should be careful... As Genin that many bandits might be more than enough to take us out. Kakashi-sensei has a better chance as he knows more jutsu and has experience with it I think."
"Oh." Naruto frowned before nodding.
"Anyways, let's go back to Sensei and Ryou-kun and tell him this." Akane started moving faster around the camp, leaping from tree to tree with speed while masking her steps using chakra surrounding her feet.
Naruto followed as well, and it only took them a few minutes to regroup and he held his head a bit after dispelling his clone with sensei and Ryouken. This is getting weird... I get memories that aren't mine... Am I imagining shit? Perhaps you are a loon. Damnit Kyuubi!
"What did you find out Red?" Kakashi asked.
Akane took a deep breath. "The reports of thirty strong is wrong, flat out." She said. "By my estimations, and the range I can manage to use with my sensing... I estimate there is at least three times that estimation inside of the encampment sir."
Kakashi frowned in surprise. "That's... A lot. Did you find the prisoners?"
"Yeah, they were being held at the back of camp under guard I think." Was Akane's answer.
"I think my clone dispelled. I don't feel it being active anymore." Naruto then shuddered.
I don't wanna know what he might have felt with that. Kakashi thought, before nodding. "Are you three ready?" He asked before Naruto had time to sink too much into the way he still shivered. "Because they are now alert if your clone dispelled."
"Ready?!" They all shouted.
Kakashi nodded. "I'll move first. You three are to work together in order to take out as many bandits as you can. This is your first mission where you could kill someone... Do not falter if you can help it."
"In the bag." Naruto said with a smile.
"GOD DAMNIT!" A large man with muscles upon muscles, and dark brown skin, cursed as he slammed a table with a fist that was the size of the torso's of most men. He turned to the two subordinates Chijin and Iyashii. "You fools! Do you know what that was?!"
"Umm... N-no?" They squeaked together, hugging each other in fright at the sight of their boss looming over them and holding a large cleaver with jagged waves and notches missing from near the handles.
"That was a Shinobi Clone technique of some sort. You were followed!"
"S-sorry Hidou-sama!"
Hidou growled. "Warn the camp!"
As the two cowering and sniveling men before him were about to leave the tent were going to leave, they heard the sounds of shouts followed by a crash as several men flew into the 'room'. Their bodies were marred and full of shuriken and kunai, and they were already dead.
"They're already here..." Hidou muttered, grabbing a second cleaver of equal stature to himself as he lumbered out of the tent. Let's see how these Shinobi handle themselves against all of my men.
(With Ryouken, Akane, and Naruto)
The three Genin were in a tight formation to watch each other's backs, kunai held in each hand as they worked on blocking and defending against the uncoordinated attacks of the large group of bandits.
"I thought you said there were only a hundred or so!" Naruto shouted as he spun his kunai during a block, letting it twirl in the air from the momentum while he moved his fist to plow into the chest of the unfortunate marauder. If viewed in slow motion, rippling could be seen flowing across their skin as their mouth and eyes opened in shock before they were propelled away with incredible force and bowled more bandits that were starting to swarm the group.
"Well sorry if my count wasn't accurate because I was trying not to get spotted by their sentries!" Akane shouted back while she flung her palm out and sent a wave of flame from the palm-point, alighting several bandits as they screamed in pain while running around trying to put out their fires.
"We need to separate and handle as many as we can. Their convergence is harder to work with if we can't use our full spread of techniques." Ryouken stated. "Sensei told us to work together, but it'll get us killed." He then blocked a strike from a sword, grabbing the handle and twisting the bandit's arm before striking them in the temple with a sharp jab from his knuckles. It didn't take much to drop the man, and with a kick her turned and sent them flying away.
(With Kakashi)
The silver-haired Jonin spun and kicked at a man trying to sneak up on him, before flinging two shuriken in order to ensure a kill. He twisted and landed, using a three-point stance as he swept his arm out and buried a kunai into the foot of one of his approaching foes. There are so many... He realized. He moved back to a standing position, and jumped into the air to flash through several hand seals after throwing a rain of shuriken. "Ninpo: Shuriken Kage Bunshin!" (Ninja Art: Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique)
The wave of twenty shuriken multiplied into two hundred. The deadly metal hit many of the Bandits below, clearing a large wave of men from attacking his students. They're safe for the moment... Are they splitting u-
Kakashi couldn't finish that thought as he was slashed through the midsection by a cleaver as large as his body. But he quickly managed to substitute with a log and with a Shunshin appeared in front of his opponent. Hmm... That's not good...
"You must be a Shinobi sent for my head." Hidou growled as he held his smaller cleaver in his left hand, pointing it at Kakashi. "I'll give you credit for surviving my attack using no hand seals. Who are you?"
"I won't answer that if you don't know me. But you are Hidou Ashikaga if I remember correctly." Kakashi crossed his arms. "Weren't you a dropout at the Konoha Academy?"
Hidou blinked before squinting down at Kakashi in recognition. "You must be Kakashi of the Sharingan then. I heard a lot about you." He then grinned darkly. "I'll slash you to bits, and then deal with those brats."
Kakashi shook his head. "I'm afraid I cannot let you do such a thing. You'll fight me alone." He then blocked a strike from behind himself, and with a quick movement a kunai was buried in the unfortunate man's forehead while killing him.
"You won't have much of a choice." Hidou rushed towards Kakashi, who's eye widened in surprise before he leaned back to dodge the slice that was aimed at his head.
For his size... He's fast. Kakashi pulled out a kunai as he then rolled away. Rushing forward, he moved his hand to attempt to stab Hidou in the side with the sharp knife.
Only for the large man to angle his cleaver to block the strike, turning to lash out with a heavy kick that sent the jonin flying back.
Ugh... Strong opponent. He's also just fast enough to keep up, despite having no real skill. He might have washed out, but there is no telling what he knows now. Kakashi twirled the kunai in his hand to let soar into the air a bit, flashing through some hand seals. "Doton: Doryuuheki!" (Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall) He shouted as the earth began to rise between himself and his opponent. He turned the earth below himself into fine sand before burying under it. I better end this fast if I can.
Just as two cleavers slashed through and decimated his wall.
"Where are you Hatake, my cleavers sing for your blood." Hidou taunted, looking around with a glare. "Well, if I can't find you..." He turned and looked towards his next target. The blond haired kid who was in the center of his men alone while deflecting multiple attacks while countering with high speed. Rearing his hand back, he was about to throw his smaller cleaver.
Only for Kakashi to erupt from the ground below him, landing a powerful strike to their jaw. Doton: Ressenga! (Earth Release: Rending Drill Fang!)
"Heh... That tickled."
Kakashi gasped in surprise as a cleaver went through his chest, only for a puff of smoke to signal the log he was replaced with.
"Tch.." Hidou reared his foot up before slamming it into the ground. A small shockwave of chakra erupted from himself, but it was enough to stumble Kakashi from his attempt to move up behind him.
"Crude... But effective." Kakashi stated. I'd rather not use the Sharingan on this opponent. He isn't really that strong, but their strength is an issue.
"Stop stalling and let me kill you." Hidou snarled as he turned and charged at Kakashi.
Kakashi vanished in a Shunshin, appearing above Hidou and descending with a kunai ready to pierce their skull.
Seeing the inevitable approaching, Hidou flung his wrist out and threw his weapon away into the air just before Kakashi landed on top of the man and killed him with the descending strike.
A scream pierced the air, making the Jonin look up with his face paling while hopping off of Hidou. No!
(With Ryouken)
Ryouken decided to remain where he was after Akane and Naruto jumped away to distract more of the bandits. He looked somewhat bored as he looked to either side while they looked wary now. "Finally decided to take little chances?" He asked. If they attack together... That would be bad.
One of the bandits let out a shout before charging, moving to swing at Ryouken with his sword. Ryouken waited until nearly the last moment, before stepping into their reach with a sweep of his right foot to close the distance. He pushed his left elbow out, knocking the forearm of the bandit to stop the momentum. Bringing his right palm up, he slammed it into the bandit.
Who flew away with the chakra enhanced blow to crash into five bandits before lying still.
"You're a monster!" One of the men shouted.
Ryouken tilted his head, looking at that man. "A monster you say?" He asked quietly. "I'll show you a monster..." He began forming hand seals with exaggerated slowness. "Snake, Rat, Dog, Dog, Boar, Dragon, Bird, Tiger," He stopped being slow when they charged all at once, forming the rest of the seals as quickly as he could. Ram, Horse, Dragon, Ox, Hare, Rat. While holding the last Seal, he spoke while they all jumped at once. "Meiton: Sho Kageyari no Eidan (Shade Release: Many Shadow Spears of Decisive Judgement)."
With the Chakra properly moulded, black inky spears of shadow erupted from the one at Ryouken's feet, piercing through all of his attackers. They even looked like intricate naginata, with white designs along their blades that were stained red with blood.
That was close pup. You shouldn't have antagonized them while speaking your Hand Seals.
Doesn't matter now, I made sure they wouldn't kill me. Ryouken stared at the bodies as his dark tendrils withdrew back into his shadow. He frowned at the bloodshed, but shrugged.
Then he froze as he heard a scream of pain, looking in the direction it came from.
(With Akane)
Akane moved away, standing in a circle of men.
"Look at this hottie. Let's keep her alive guys."
"Yeah!" Many of the bandits agreed, showing perverse grins as they leered and jeered at the red-headed Genin.
Akane let out a heavy exhale, before she formed the Ram seal. "Henge: Kai!" Her qipao melded and flowed, shrinking and reforming in a quick liquid motion towards her back. Soon there were two sheathed tanto revealed, positioned at the small of her back. Her leggings turned out to be a full body black suit, hugging her form while also preserving modesty well enough. Kneeling slightly, she gripped their hilts and drew them.
"Shit, she has swords?!"
Akane let a smirk cross her face. Then she jumped with an explosive flaring of Katon chakra from her feet. With great speed, she slashed through the man while flipping her body, and then planting her feet on the falling dead body's back, she jumped towards the next in order to begin attacking and flowing through with rapid and quick slashes. Her speed was enhanced with the use of her Katon chakra in explosive bursts.
It was over quickly for her, her opponents were soon dead. While she returned her weapons to their sheathe, she bit her thumb to draw blood along the wood of the sheath. With a pulse, her qipao began to extend and surround her body again over her clothes. It took on the color it was before. "Phew..." She looked down, closing her eyes for a moment while feeling the dull throb at the back of her mind. Naruto-kun and Ryou-kun are both fighting still... I'll go check on Naruto. She then opened her eyes and ran towards the blond's location, who was fighting the closest to where she could feel her sensei and a strong life. Her eyes widened in shock at what she saw flying towards the blond in his blind spot, and rushed forward as fast as she could. Hurry...
(With Naruto)
Naruto quickly ducked under a punch from a bandit, and retaliated with a fierce kick that blew him away. "Gotta do more than that to handle me you idiots!" He shouted, spinning into a hand stand in order to jump into the air and throw some kunai. He winced as he saw several of them fall, dead. Focus... He told himself.
As he landed, he turned and blocked a sword strike from one of the taller bandits, who looked surprised. "How?" They asked in disbelief.
"I drank my milk growing up." Naruto quipped, before turning to stab the man in his leg and kicking him away again.
"Attack him at once!" The rest of the bandits shouted, however Naruto grinned.
"Howbout nah?" He formed the crossed finger seal. "Tajuu Kage Bunshin!" He shouted, and with massive puffs of smoke more of his clones appeared and began to pummel the rest of the bandits attacking him. He tilted his head and looked over his shoulder at a shrill whistling sound. What is... Oh, balls. He closed his eyes instinctively as a large menacing cleaver twirled through the air. He grunted as someone kicked him in the chest, and then flinched at a loud and familiar scream of pain. Something warm and wet landed on his face. Huh?
(With Kakashi)
"No!" Kakashi shouted as he watched Akane quickly move in front of Naruto, taking the strike of the cleaver to herself while trying to push him away. He moved into a run as the remaining bandits charged towards the injured Akane and Naruto, who stared with shock on his face.
Ryouken moved to follow, drawing several kunai and preparing to throw them.
(With Naruto)
Naruto stared with wide eyes as Akane stood in front of him, swaying slightly as the cleaver remained stuck in her hip and almost all the way through her body. "A-Akane-chan?" He stammered in shock.
Akane coughed weakly. "Naru-kun... S-should've paid more..." Then she fell to the side, blood pooling around her as her eyes closed.
Naruto felt as if the world began to slow, time meant nothing. Tears were falling down his eyes as he viewed the scene before him. No... No... "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He roared in anguish, red-orange chakra bursting from around his body while he moved onto his feet quickly. His eyes became red, pupils now slits with dark hatred while he turned towards where the cleaver came from. He noticed the startled and fearful bandits who had hesitated with his roar, along with Kakashi and Ryouken who faltered as well off to the side. He noticed the dead body of the leader, and the similar cleaver still held in the large man's hand. He turned on the other bandits, and let out another roar of agony. "I'll kill you all!" And with a near instant movement, landed in the center of them. His hands took on a claw-like shape, and with a single swing he sent large crescent blades around that shred through the men and tents like they were made of flimsy paper.
(With Ryouken and Kakashi)
While Naruto raged, the Jonin and Genin landed next to Akane after quickly jumped to her.
Checking her pulse, Kakashi sighed. "She's alive... But weak..."
"What do we do? If we remove the cleaver, she'll die of blood loss. If we don't, she still could die." Ryouken inquired, looking slightly pale.
"We leave it and wrap her up with as many bandages as you can... I need to stop Naruto somehow..." He pulled out a large amount of cloth ribbons coiled around a tube of cardboard.
Ryouken nodded, accepting the bandages and beginning to work on wrapping Akane's wound up while being careful not to jostle her too much.
(In a nearby village)
A man with long white hair sat in a tree, giggling perversely as he stared through a set of binoculars while peeping into the hot springs and watching the women inside giggle and talk about their days with each other. Gold, pure g- He felt a stirring across his senses, and looked over his shoulder. That's... The Kyuubi's Youki... Which means... He paled. Naruto...
He jumped from the tree and after a few hand seals, pressed his hands to the ground. "Kuchiyose!" He shouted, as a large toad appeared below him.
"What is the deal Jiraiya, why have you summoned me?"
"No questions this time please Gamabunta... Hurry that direction. We are needed that way!" The Seal must be acting up... But he isn't in Konoha. He could be on a mission...
"Alright, alright. Hold on." Gamabunta started leaping and jumping, crossing the terrain rapidly. "It'll take a few minutes."
(Back with Kakashi)
Kakashi paled as he watched Naruto turn to face him. "Naruto-kun, please... Calm down. She'll be okay." I have to keep him concentrated on me, he almost destroyed the hostage tent and I don't want him to have that blood on his hands when he comes to.
Naruto turned his baleful red eyes upon Kakashi, his form surrounded with intense red-orange aura of the 'chakra' that was the Kyuubi. Slowly, a large tail began to take shape from the flowing writhing mass, then a second one shortly after. Four long tails flowed and swayed behind him, showing the level of power and strength that was flowing through his body.
Not good... I can only stop him up to the second tail with my tag... Kakashi thought, raising his headband to reveal his Sharingan. And not a moment too soon, as he reacted and dodged the sudden strike from the blond.
"You liar! She's dead!" Naruto bellowed. "And you aren't Kakashi-sensei!"
Shit, he doesn't actually recognize me like this... Kakashi thought as he focused all of his energy on dodging. However he frowned when he noticed Ryouken forming several hand seals, but he continued to dodge while his student did what he was doing. Maybe he is helping... Must've wrapped Akane up quicker than I expected.
Ryouken stood with his sunglasses removed, and Meiangan active and spinning while he inhaled. Banrai... I'll need you to mould and shape your chakra for me after I use this one. Very well. This is an unexpected development.
"Meiton: Kokuei Rensa!" (Shade Release: Dark Shadow Chains)
Kakashi looked shocked as he saw the ground quake below Naruto, and darkened chains of an unknown nature erupted from below to surround and cling to Naruto's arms and legs, and one even wrapped around his neck.
Ryouken panted slightly. Now... I know Banrai. "Hiton: Kashoku Ori!" (Light Release: Bright Light Cage) He shouted while a spectral cage of light began to form, blazing with burning radiance as it surrounded Naruto. He was sweating, and his eyes were burning from the effort he was putting in. The two techniques fused together, shadow and light melding into an enclosure while he focused on restraining the raging Naruto. The dark shadows mixed with the bright light, resonating in such a way that was normally impossible to understand without the spinning Dojutsu he wielded. Meianton: Amatsu Soutei (Light-and-Dark Release: Heavenly Binding). He thought, almost starting to sway but he continued to hold his will over the chakra. The Kyuubi is stronger than I thought... Banrai observed. Yes... Much more than I realized... You know this won't last very long right?
Before Ryouken could come up with a reply to Banrai, he stumbled slightly as the earth shook, which took up a large amount of chakra just to keep his Heavenly Binding in place against Naruto. A large red toad had landed on some of the tents, flattening them completely. The man on top jumped from his position to land near Ryouken.
"Naruto..." He whispered with sadness while watching the blond struggle against his restraints. He held his hand up in preparation, focusing his chakra before looking at Ryouken. "Release the jutsu Tatsujin boy... You'll burn yourself out."
"But..."
"Just do it." Kakashi managed to say as he moved to where Ryouken was. "He's a Sannin, and is much stronger than either of us." He was nearby? I'll chalk it up to pure dumb luck.
Nodding, Ryouken released the technique and slumped to the ground panting.
The moment he could, Jiraiya moved forward to land his fingers against Naruto's stomach. "Gogyō Fūin!" He shouted. And then winced as the clawed hand was almost in his face, before it stopped with Naruto closing his eyes.
Almost immediately, the Youki surrounding Naruto dissipated, and he fell forward into unconsciousness.
Jiraiya caught Naruto, carefully laying him down on the ground. Moving his shirt to check the seal, the Toad Sannin let out a gasp of shock. "This... It's damaged..." He sounded baffled.
"Damaged?" Ryouken asked while moving closer weakly, grunting as Kakashi helped him move. He observed the Eight Trigram Seal on Naruto's belly, and saw what should be a black design was a mottled gray and light white in places. It is damaged... How did that happen?
"Yeah... We'll need to repair it before I lift the Five Elements Seal I placed on him. Otherwise, it could kill him."
"I see. Here, take Ryouken for me Jiraiya-sama. I'm going to get my other student." Kakashi said.
Jiraiya blinked, but grabbed Ryouken to help him sit down nearby while Kakashi moved away to gingerly pick up Akane.
"Okay... If I may ask. What the fuck happened here?" Was Jiraiya's question to Ryouken.
"A disaster..." Ryouken said. "This was supposed to just be a mission to fight some bandits and free their hostages..."
Jiraiya nodded, and looked over at Kakashi before gasping. "Is she..."
Kakashi shook his head. "She's alive, but we have to hurry to Konoha. I fear we won't make it in time if we walk, but tree hopping like this will cause her wound to worsen."
"With that cleaver... You're right." Jiraiya sighed. "I'll take you all back to Konoha, just make sure to keep the girl stable as much as possible."
"You're going to make me do all the work aren't you Jiraiya?!" Gamabunta demanded, since he hadn't been dismissed.
"You're damn right I am." Jiraiya picked Naruto up over his shoulder, and with an arm around Ryouken's waist he hopped up on top of the large toad with ease.
Such strength... Ryouken realized, startled. And a Seal Master if I'm not mistaken... Jiraiya of the Sannin.
After using one hand to form a seal, he created a Clone of himself before Kakashi jumped up carefully, taking gentle and short leaps up the side of Gamabunta's body before he settled down on the head of the toad and cradled Akane in his arms carefully so she wouldn't move.
"We should hurry. Bunta, you know where Konoha is."
"Right right... Hang on!" Gamabunta shouted as he began hopping away from the wasted bandit camp.
Kakashi's clone let out a sigh and went to where the only standing part of the camp remained, and worked to free the hostages. "Everyone, you're free now. Follow me back to Aokusa, I'll keep you safe."
(Back in Konoha)
"How are they?" Ryouken asked Kakashi who just left the hospital room he was in.
Kakashi looked down at his student, sighing softly. "Naruto is fine... Just out of it and won't be waking up until Jiraiya looks at his seal." He paused. "Akane had it worse... If that cleaver hit just a few inches further past her hip, it would've damaged her spine. As it is, the healers believe she'll make a full recovery in a couple weeks." He rubbed the back of his head. "I have a report to go file... Stay here if you want."
Ryouken nodded, and promptly sat back down on the bench near the rooms that were almost adjoined. Naruto was to his left, and Akane to his right.
Kakashi stood before the Hokage, blood marring his uniform and looking down after he just finished being debriefed.
"Kakashi-san... Your students are alive, and as it is the mission was just upgraded to a B-Rank with such a dangerous opponent." Sarutobi sighed as he rubbed his face. "Akane saved Naruto without being asked to, you cannot blame yourself for what would've been her own sacrifice. The only thing I have to say is you should've stayed personally to return the villagers to their homes instead of leaving a clone."
"I know Hokage-sama... But..."
Sarutobi nodded. "But I know your history. Luck was on the side of your team... And they all should have learned a valuable lesson to take from what happened, as harsh as it sounds. You should be ready for them to come to you after they have recovered... Each of them has most likely made their first kills today, and I am surprised that none of them froze up. I'll chalk it up to the instinct to survive considering how outnumbered you all were."
"I understand."
"Go home Kakashi, get some sleep. Report back here tomorrow morning."
With a nod, Kakashi turned and left the room.
Sarutobi lit his pipe and puffed slowly on it, before looking towards the window.
"You always know when I am coming sensei." Jiraiya said as he moved to sit down on the window after opening it.
"Jiraiya-kun. A pleasure as always." Sarutobi said with a small, emotionless smile.
"If it weren't for the circumstances... It was only luck that I was so close by that the Koga child made it."
Sarutobi nodded. "And you restrained Naruto-kun's transformed state..." He looked at his crystal ball. "I readied the medical corps the moment I saw Akane get injured, and I was sure that it would've been for naught if Naruto kept his rampage up..."
Jiraiya nodded as well.
"How is the Seal?" Sarutobi asked after a few moments of silence.
"It was damaged, but I do not know what from. It allowed too much of the Kyuubi's chakra to leak out, so when Naruto became enraged he went full on berserk in an instant it seems. It'll take some time for me to fix it... And I was thinking of using the Tatsujin kid to help me. He understands more than I realized about Fuinjutsu."
Sarutobi chuckled somewhat. "Looking to take on a new apprentice Jiraiya?"
"Not really at the moment, but a student is a welcome endeavor."
Nodding, Sarutobi puffed a few more times on his pipe in contemplation. "Indeed... Stay in Konoha for a few weeks at the very least please Jiraiya. I think it is time to at least let the boy know you are his godfather."
"But the Elders..."
"They can deal with it. We know it was Danzō who was the reason you were forbidden to even see Naruto while he was growing up. But now that you have met him, there is nothing they can do now." Sarutobi leaned back in his chair. "After all, I've been slowly reclaiming the power I lost to them with their machinations."
Jiraiya started to laugh. "Alright sensei. I'll let the brat know when he wakes up after I repair his Seal."
"I know you will. Now, let's go catch up. There is this nice restaurant that I frequent with Naruto-kun on occasion. The ramen they sell isn't actually bad at all." Sarutobi smiled as he saw Jiraiya's face take a moderately perplexed look.
"But why Ramen?"
"If you're to understand your godchild, best to know his passion." Sarutobi sagely stated before he and the Sannin left his office.
Alright, two Chapters ready for you all. Ended up splitting the teased Chapter thing into two, making it the way it is. Before I added this A/N, there were 10k words according to my Word Count on my OpenOffice Program. Please leave a Review if you wanna.
