"Hey, Dewey?" Webby called as she cracked the door to the boys' room open. She found him sitting on his middle bunk.

"What's up, Webbs?" he wondered. His body was sprawled out over the bed, his feet dangling. On his back, he looked at his phone, scrolling through the latest It list sensation.

She took in a deep breath. "I need to know what happened to my parents," she let out.

He sat up, setting down his phone. She now had his full attention. "What are you saying?"

"Dewey, I need your help," she said.

"I don't know about this. I mean, what if we find something we don't want to?" he questioned. He climbed down from his bed. He came to meet her, folding his hands nervously.

Webby could only assume he was thinking of his mother. She took his hands and squeezed tight. "Come on, Dewey! You're my best friend! Haven't you ever wanted to find the truth?" she pleaded.

Dewey looked down at her hands. He bit his beak in thought, then his eyes met hers. He nodded. "I'll help you Webby. We'll find the truth together," he smiled warmly at her.

"Do we have any clues to go off of?" he added.

Webby pulled her knife from her skirt proudly. Dewey had to jump back to keep from getting cut. "This!" she declared.

"But we already found the thing hidden in there," Dewey said.

She shook her head. "We didn't find the lead. Look!" She gave the blade to him to examine. On the very bottom of the hilt, it read Vanderquack.

"What? It's just your last name," he said, tilting the knife in his hands.

Webby held up a finger to correct him. "Ah! Not just my last name! It's the mint!" she smiled.

"Buh?"

She rolled her eyes. "The brand," she reworded.

"Buh."

She dragged him off to her room to get her laptop. Soon, the faint clicking of keys could be heard from Webby's room. Dewey looked over her shoulder as she searched up Vanderquack on her laptop. After a bit more research, they soon found it.

"Look at this! Vanderquack knife forgery," he pointed.

Webby smiled. "Well, then that's where we have to go," she said. She clicked on the link, finding the website.

An address was displayed on the screen. "It's all the way in Mouseton," Dewey frowned, gazing over the map.

Webby kept her spirits up, tracing the map roads with her finger. "That's not too far. It's just..." She counted on her fingers. "A week away by car," she said disappointed. Dewey bit his beak.

Then a lightbulb went off in his head. "Hey! How far is it by plane?" he asked, bouncing to his feet.

"I don't know how to drive a plane," she said, confused.

"It just so happens my best friend is a bit of a pilot," Dewey smirked.

Webby saw what he was getting at. "How are we going to convince Launchpad to take us to Mouseton?" she wondered.

Just then, Launchpad poked his head in the door. "Hey, Dewey! I have to make a delivery to Mouseton. Want to come?" he wondered. Dewey jumped up, then shot a told you so look at Webby. She rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Yes! Can Webby come too?" he asked.

Launchpad nodded. "Sure! Let's go!" he said, and went on down the hallway. Dewey and Webby followed after him. They fist bumped.

...

"Alright, Mouseton! Here we come!" Launchpad exclaimed, starting up the plane once they were all seated. The cargo was loaded and they were all ready to go.

Dewey and Webby smiled to each other. "Did you write down the address?" Dewey wondered.

Webby nodded, holding up a slip of paper. He gave her a thumbs up. They were sitting in the back of Sun Chaser next to each other.

Dewey took her hand. "Webby, I'm sorry for hesitating to help you, when you were so eager to help me find my mother," he said, and embarrassed pink on his cheeks.

"It's okay. I guess it is a little scary to think about what could've happened to them," she said. She smiled at him warmly. "But I guess it'll be okay because I have you." He squeezed her hand in return.

Her face lit up. "So when we find my mom, do you think she'll be best friends with your mom? And then we can have play dates all the time!" she cheered.

Dewey raised an eyebrow. "Webby, we live together already."

"Oh, right."

The duckling in pink leaned back in her chair. "What do you think my parents are like?" she thought out loud. "Do you think they'll like me?" she wondered.

Dewey bit his beak. He didn't want to bring her down, but they didn't even know if her parents were alive. Nor the reason why Beakly never spoke of them. But despite thinking that, he said, "Who wouldn't like you? They're your parents! Sure they will."

She smiled at him.

Suddenly, the plane shook violently. "Gah!" they yelped. The plane speaker went off. "We seem to be having some sort of turbulence, heh, heh," Launchpad said. Dewey glanced out the window. It wasn't turbulence, but a plane he knew all to well. "It's Don Karnage!"

"Attention Dewey Duck and company! This is the dread pirate of the skies, Don Karnage! Prepare to be boarded!" a loud voice from the ship behind them boomed.

Dewey and Webby exchanged a look of shock. "Don Karnage is attacking us!" she exclaimed. Launchpad tried to get a hold of the controls, resulting in more shaking and chaos.

Suddenly, a giant hole was blown into the side of the Sun Chaser. "I think they might mean business," Dewey gulped.

Webby slid down to the stomach of the plane with the rope ladder. Dewey climbed down after her, and they stood in fighting positions. "Launchpad! You find a way to land the plane safely. We'll take care of these pirates!" Webby said, determined.

Several pirates boarded the plane, Don Karnage at the front. "So, we meet again, Dewey Duck," he smirked.

Swinging his sword around, Don Karnage went for Dewey. The boy in blue jumped back.

"Dewey!" Webby called. She knocked down a pirate and passed their sword to Dewey.

Taking hold of it, he defended himself from Don Karnage. The clanging of metal swords rang through the plane.

The Sun Chaser shook a few times as a pirate started attacking Launchpad in the cockpit. He tried to dodge the swings while piloting. After Webby had taken down two pirates she climbed up the rope ladder to help him. But the pirate that had been attacking him noticed Webby. In one slice, he cut one half of ladder. She was swung back on the rope. She held on tight, but slipped. When she tried to regain her grip, Webby got a rope burn.

Wincing in pain, she shook out her hand. It didn't help that it was the same hand she had cut before. The wound opened up again, letting blood run down her hand. Without caring about whether or not it would stain, she wiped the blood on her skirt and climbed the rest of the ladder.

Webby came face to the face with the pirate. With her good hand, she pulled out her dagger. The pirate snarled at her while Launchpad readjusted the plane, causing everyone to slide a bit. The pirate pressed up against her. Doing a flip, she kicked him in the face, knocking him to the stomach of the cargo plane.

Breathing heavily, she glanced at Dewey, who was struggling to hold back the wolf captain. She ran over to him and slid between the two, defending Dewey from a blow. There was a loud clang of blade against blade, and sparks flew. She held her knife tight in her hand. He growled at her, unable to push her back with his blade. Together, Dewey and Webby fought back against Don Karnage. Webby landed a kick while Dewey swung with his sword.

"Ha! I've beat you once and I'll beat you again!" Dewey taunted.

"Well, actually you've beaten him twice, but the second time was more Louie than you," Webby corrected.

Don Karnage went at them angry. He threw his sword at the blue dressed Duckling. "Dewey!" Webby exclaimed. She lunged forward, knocking both her and Dewey to the ground. The sword landed inches away from them. They let out a sigh of relief. Webby went to stab Don Karnage with her knife, only to realize she had dropped it. Don Karnage kicked her away to the ground.

Webby landed on her foot weird and let out a yelp of pain. Dewey arrived at her side. Don Karnage let out a snarky laugh, picking up Webby's knife from the ground.

"You seriously thought you could fight off the great Don Karnage with a tiny dagger?" he teased. He studied the weight of the knife in his hand. When he saw the hilt, his eyes widened. "Where did you get this knife?" he questioned.

"My granny gave it to me when I was little," Webby said, rubbing her ankle.

Don Karnage smirked. "I've seen this knife before," he said.

Webby's heart skipped a beat. "You have? Where? When?" she bombarded him with questions. He simply tossed the knife away.

Then he raised his sword above his head. "Good bye, Dewey Duck," he said, readying to do away with the kids.

Suddenly, the plane turned sideways, causing everyone to slide around. Dewey quickly caught Webby in his arms and held onto the rails if the deck of the plane. Don Karnage slipped and fell into the stomach of the plane. The pirates began tumbling out of the hole they had made. "Curse you Dewey Duck!" the pirate captain called, falling out of the cargo plane. They watched as he released his parachute, floating down to the ground.

"All in a day's work for Launchpad McQuack," Launchpad said, turning the Sun Chaser to the right position once all the pirates were gone.

Webby frowned. "Wait! Where do you know this knife from!" she called after Don Karnage.

Dewey helped her to her feet, but she found her ankle was hurt. She winced as she couldn't stand. She hobbled over to a seat with Dewey's help. Dewey grabbed the first aid kit and helped her bandage her leg. But Webby's mind was on other things. How did Don Karnage know her knife?
