Violet: James how come your homeless? What happened?

Kevin: Violet!

James: It's ok she's curious. I had a great job and a beautiful place to live but that changed one morning when my work was burned to the ground by protesters causing everyone who worked there to lose their jobs. The fire was started by a lit cigarette that one of my coworkers had left and I took the blame because she was gonna be in major trouble if they knew it was her since she had previously gotten in trouble for the same thing. Which is why I lost my house and everything else I owned.

Violet: I'm sorry James I wish that didn't happen to you.

James: Me too.

Nick: Kevin can I talk to you alone for a minute?

So I was gonna continue with the part about James but I feel like mixing it up a bit. So I'm sorry in advance because this will most likely make you cry but I want to share something that's been lingering in the back of my mind for sometime. I hope you enjoy! :)

(Violet's POV)

Me: I'm so excited! Lily invited me to go with her and her parents to a concert on the beach. I was getting ready when the phone rang.

Kevin: Hey Vi Look I know we promised you could go with lily tonight but I'm not gonna be able to get out of here till after the concert is over. I know lily said she couldn't pick you up and I'm really sorry I'll make it up to you I promise.

Me: It's ok Kev I understand I'll just see if someone wants to watch movies with me or something.

Kevin: Ok have fun I'll see you tonight. Bye Vi.

Me: Bye Kev.

Well that sucks now I can't go with lily but maybe nick will want to watch a movie with me.

Me: NICKY! (He comes to her door)

Nick: What?

Me: Wanna watch a movie with me?

Nick: Can't. Selena and I are gonna be going to a baseball game. Starts at 6.

Me: Oh ok well have fun. Maybe Joey will.

Nick: Joe and Demi went to San Fransisco they won't be back till late tonight.

Me: Dani?

Nick: Took Alena over to her parents house and they won't be back till probably 9.

Me: What about Taylor?

Nick: She's at Peyton's. Something about breaking up with him.

Me: So I'm all alone tonight?

Nick: Call Jesse and Zac one of them might be available to hang with their favorite adopted sister.

Me: Oh good idea. Have fun Nicky!

I go into the front room and grab the phone and dial Jesse first.

Jesse: Hello

Me: Hey J it's Vi are you busy today?

Jesse: Hey Vi not really I finished at the studio last night so I have a break why what's up?

Me: Would you want to come have a movie night with me?

Jesse: Sure could Zac come too? He's at my house.

Me: Why's he at your house?

Jesse: Late night recording. He's helping me on one of my songs.

Me: Oh well of course Zac can come.

Jesse: Cool we'll see you in a few then.

Me: Ok I'll see you soon. Bye.

Jesse: Bye.

Me: NICKY YOU STILL HERE? (She walks into the kitchen)

Nick: Yeah why what's up?

Me: Jesse and Zac will be over soon. We're gonna watch movies.

Nick: Ok have fun and be good.

*knock knock*

Me: They're here! (She runs to the front door)

Nick: I Want To Talk To Them!

Me: Ok! Hey guys come on in. Nick wants to talk to you.

Jesse: Ok I'll go see what he wants.

Zac: Wait for me dude.

They both head to the kitchen and I go to the movie room to set everything up.

(Nick's POV)

Me: Hey guys what's up?

Jesse: I don't know you tell us. You wanted to talk to us?

Me: Yeah number one thanks for coming over and keeping her company and number two if she gives you any trouble you have complete permission to punish her. (Vi walks in)

Violet: I'll be good Nicky I promise.

Me: Yeah I'll believe that when I see it.

Zac: She'll behave. Now go have fun.

Me: Alright bye guys bye Vi love you. SEL LETS GO!

Selena: COMING!

She comes in dressed in all Giants gear (A/N: I know the boys are Yankees and dodgers fans but I this story they are gonna be giants fans.)

Me:Alright we are outta here. Be good Vi and I'll see you tonight. Late.

Selena: Bye Everyone.

(Back to Violet's POV)

Me: Movie time! I have picked as our first movie Mrs. Doubtfire.

Jesse: Ooooh a comedy... Good choice!

Zac: Jesse does some mean expressions of Robin Williams.

Jesse: Well yeah I might do them later but right now I wanna watch!

Zac: HaHa I love that part..

Jesse: We're his goddamn kids too.

[Miranda gives Daniel a dirty look]

Zac: [nervously] Heh heh, kids say the darnedest things.

Jesse: [sarcastically] Thank you. Any other choice phrases you'd like to teach our five year old, Daniel?

Violet: Wow you two play the perfect married couple.

Zac: Take That Back!

Violet: What that you two play the perfect couple... Yeah I don't think so.

Jesse: Just wait princess when this movie is over you are so gonna get it! We may give you a 5 second start. Just maybe.

Violet: Ooh I'm scared now.

Zac: You should be.

Jesse: Movies over.

Violet: Eeeep! ( Jumps up and starts running)

Zac: One...

Jesse: Ok enough time. Let's get her!

Zac: Violet You're gonna get it now!

They chase me through the house for a few minutes and I hide in a place I know they will never think to look... Inside the dryer. They spend the next hour looking for me.

Jesse: Ok Vi you win I give up! (He collapses on the couch.)

Zac: Yeah Vi I surrender come out please! (Also collapses on the couch.)

I climb out of the dryer and walk back into the front room.

Me: Wow you guys give up easily.

Jesse: It wasn't easily! We've been searching for an hour! We are tired ok.

Zac: Yeah Hun you are a really good hider. I'm exhausted from looking. What time is it?

Me: 7. So does that mean you don't want to watch anymore movies?

Zac: Depends on what movie.

Jesse: We should watch Charlie St. Cloud.

Zac: Ha ha... maybe we should watch Keith.

Me: How about we watch a tv show instead?

Jesse: Which one?

Zac: Ooh how about American Idol!

Jesse: Uh how about no? Let's watch Friends!

Me: No. What about summer land?

Zac: Oh god no I don't want to see me acting!

Jesse: Sure lets watch summer land.

Zac: (Hisses at Jesse)

Jesse: Awww is our little Zac afraid to see himself on TV?

Zac: Noooo I just don't want to.

I grab my entire summer land collection and pop the first dvd in.

Jesse: You have the entire collection?

Me: Yeah it was a birthday gift from my brothers.

Zac: Big fan huh? (Chuckling)

Me: (blushes) Maybe.

Jesse: Ooh it's starting! Shhhh!

Zac: Weirdo.

~~ Two hours Later~~

We had ordered pizza and watched four episodes when dani came home first. She was exhausted and Alena was asleep so she took Alena to bed and went to bed herself. Zac had turned the news on and I wasn't really paying attention until this name was mentioned that made my heart stop.

News reporter:* Lily Oliver and her sister were only 13 and 15. They were killed after...*

Me: Did she just say Lily Oliver?

Zac: Yeah Why?

Jesse: Vi you ok you look like you've just seen a ghost.

I started to have a panic attack it felt as if my entire world had just come crashing down all around me. I couldn't breathe. I just wanted someone to say it was a big joke and that lily was fine. I wanted someone to turn the clock back and make it unreal. I felt so helpless. I had dropped the phone and ended up on my knees. I wasn't crying surprisingly. I was just in shock. Major shock. So much so that I didn't even notice joe had got home or that he had pulled me into his arms and was trying to get my attention.

Joe: Vi.. Vi... VI!

Violet: It's...its... No..No...No.

Joe: What happened Jesse?

Jesse: Zac was watching the news and she heard the announcer say Lily Oliver and she asked if that's what the announcer had said and after Zac said yes she just became this!

Joe: What about Lily?

Violet: She's... She's g..gone. No..No..No.

Joe: Lily's Dead?

Zac: Does she know her?

Joe: Lily is her best friend.

Jesse: Oh my... Vi I'm so sorry.

Joe: Did they say what happened?

Zac: Their car was hit by a drunk driver. One girl was killed immediately the other died about 10 minutes later.

Joe: Do they know which one...

Zac: Yes but they're not saying who.

Joe: Can you call Kevin and tell him he needs to get home now. I'm gonna take vi upstairs to her room. I'll be with her.

Jesse: Yeah no prob.

(Jesse's POV)

He carry's violet to her room while I call Kevin.

*Ring Ring*

Jesse: Come on man answer your phone.

*Ring Ring*

Kevin: Hello

Jesse: Kev its Jesse I'm calling for joe.

Kevin: Hey what's up? Why can't joe call me?

Jesse: He's with violet. He's trying to calm her down.

Kevin: Calm her down? Is she causing problems?

Jesse: No she's hysterical. He needs you to come home.

Kevin: Why does he need me to come home and why is she hysterical?

Jesse: Well she just discovered something that she's not taking well at all. I'd rather you come home before we tell you more and he needs you to come home because he needs your help with the situation.

Kevin: Alright I'm on my way but I still don't understand why you can't just tell me now.

Jesse: You'll know soon enough. See you soon. Bye.

Kevin: Alright bye.

Zac: This night has completely changed in the blink of an eye. I feel really bad for violet. Should we stay?

Suddenly Nick and Selena walk in.

Nick: Why wouldn't you stay?

Zac: You guys are having a situation and I don't know if us being here will be beneficial.

Nick: What type of a situation? Did violet give you a hard time?

Jesse: No she was good. Her best friend was killed tonight she's not taking it well.

Nick: Lily? Lily's gone?

Jesse: Yeah her family was hit by a drunk driver.

Nick: Where is violet?

Zac: Upstairs with joe.

Nick: Selena can you get Taylor home?

Selena: Yeah sure

Nick: Thanks I'm gonna go be with violet.

Jesse: Kevin's on his way. He doesn't know so what do you want us to do?

Nick: Tell him and please stay I'm sure violet's gonna need us all.

Zac: Ok no problem.

Kevin comes running in the house as Nick goes running up the stairs.

Kevin: Ok someone explain what's going on.

Zac: Violets best friend was killed by a drunk driver.

Kevin: Lily? Lily's...

Jesse: Yeah.

Kevin: Where is she?

Zac: Upstairs with Nick and Joe.

Kevin takes off upstairs.

Jesse and Zac follow him.

That was really hard to write. I've always been told write what you know so I did. It's what happened to me only I was 15. I can remember feeling so alone even though I was surrounded by my siblings. Next chapter will be in her POV.
