[Sorry to butt in like this, but the System has patched a few errors.]

System Reboot Complete!
Welcome to the Naruto Gamer System Version 1.1
Eh? I don't really mind you cutting in. So what's new in the update?
[For starters if you look into your inventory you will see that the Skill Book for Henge no Jutsu is there now as well due to it being labelled as one of the basic academy three. As well as this, the System has noticed that you have yet to receive your third perk while you already have three negative traits. Thereby, you will be receiving a third positive trait as well. As compensation for essentially removing Gamer's Mind and replacing it with Extreme Personality, that Trait has been buffed as well. The Mokuton bloodline has also been buffed… as such your Master of Water has been upgraded as well. Finally, the skill Kage Bunshin has been nerfed.]
Thank you, System, for being so fucking nice. I am eternally grateful! You are the best System that a Gamer could hope for… thank you so fucking much.
Trait Upgraded
[Extreme Personality] [Offsetting Demeanor]
You constantly show exaggerated emotions, causing many to underestimate or dislike your personality; however, you can be serious when it counts… although you find it difficult to remain serious constantly
35% chance of people underestimating you
You are immune to mental debilitations
YEA LEZZGO! A much-needed improvement. Now I'll just be acting depressed instead of actually feeling depressed… I hope. Nice to see a bit of Gamer's Mind in the trait as well now; so I'm immune to people messing with my brain.
Kekkei Genkai Upgraded
[Bloodline: Mokuton]
Allows the wielder to use the fabled ninjutsu of the First Hokage himself
The surname [Senju] is permanently locked in
HP stat is passively increased by 50%
Auto HP regeneration during combat
CP stat is passively increased by 50%
Auto CP regeneration during combat
150% Mokuton proficiency, 50% Suiton and Doton proficiency
100% Yang Release affinity – LOCKED
Guessing Yang Release requires the BS-eyeballs as well. Nice to know that I can freaking use other elements now. I was kind of worried about going up against things like fireballs from a certain phoenix-wannabe douchebag…
Perk Upgraded
[Master of Water]
You possess absolute mastery over the water element, and as such you are able to draw water from the atmosphere
100% Suiton proficiency
CP consumption of all Suiton techniques by 50%
25% increased regeneration in HP, CP and SP while in contact with water
Same description but so much freaking better… Tobirama, I'm gonna be even better than you; you make a freaking water dragon with one hand sign, I'll make two dragons! I also have a 150% proficiency in Suiton now with the two different buffs from Mokuton and this one. Now, what's my final perk gonna be, System?
[This perk should help you a lot in your endeavours. It was given by a kind GM passing through after they saw your horrible traits and pointed out that the shop system is useless to you since you will be forced to spend all your money gambling. Enjoy this one.]
Perk Added
[Monster of the Mist]
1 X [Samehada] placed in inventory
STR stat is passively increased by 50%
END stat is passively increased by 50%
1 X [Kirigakure Kenjutsu] Skill Book placed in inventory
[Basic Taijutsu] Skill Book has been replaced with [Kirigakure Taijutsu]
1 X [Shark Summoning Contract] placed in inventory

[…Are you going to say something?]
I'm still processing this…
[Yes… well, how about you check your stats while you come to terms with how awesome the System is?]
I…I-I… yeah, I'll… uhm… I'll do that. 'Stats'
Player Name: Kadoma Senju – 千手板間
Level: 1
Race: Human – Shinobi
Kekkei Genkai: Mokuton
Rank: Mortal
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
HP: 445.5 – 27HP/minute (END X 1.5)
CP: 216 – 18CP/minute (INT X 1.5)
SP: 198 – 18SP/minute (WIS X 1.5
STR: 11 = 16.5
END: 12 = 18
DEX: 12
INT: 12
WIS: 12
CHA: 11
LCK: 10
Holy shit… this is real… I don't really know why I'm finding my new perk harder to believe than this whole gamer thing but I'm honestly finding this too good to be damn true… though the GM does make a good point; I'll have to rely on loot drops and gacha tokens if I want any of the good stuff since I will be losing my cash faster than I can earn it… what a troublesome trait.
Time to check out the rest of the good stuff. 'Inventory'
Kadoma's Inventory
1 X [Timber Wolf Pendant]
1 X [Henge no Jutsu] Skill Book
1 X [Samehada]
1 X [Kirigakure Kenjutsu] Skill Book
1 X [Kirigakure Taijutsu] Skill Book
1 X [Shark Summoning Contract]
Okay, let's learn the Henge first.
Learn [Henge no Jutsu]
[Yes][No]
'Yes'
I love how I can just learn everything by sucking books into my head.
Skill Added
[Henge no Jutsu] (Active)
Allows the user to transform into another solid form
50 CP per Henge
+ 1 CP per minute transformed
Oh, this reminds me, how was the Kage Bunshin nerfed?
Skill Variant Updated
[Kage Bunshin no Jutsu] (Active)
A tangible clone with the ability to use chakra equal to the amount used to create the clone (at max no more than half of the user's total reserves); when a clone is destroyed all knowledge gained by the clone as well as remaining chakra is transmitted to the original and any other functional clones
Chakra Needed for Creation: Total CP ÷ (Total Amount of Clones + 1)
1 CP per additional 5 seconds of clone existing
That is a pretty big nerf. I can see why Kage Bunshin is labelled as a Kinjutsu now though; I will actually die from chakra exhaustion if I try to abuse this jutsu. Damn… just how much chakra does Naruto Bullshit Plot Armor Uzumaki have? …Alright time to check up on Samehada… I freaking hate my mood swings.
Although, I'll observe it from the safety of being out here while it's stuck inside the dimensional prison which is my inventory. I am not looking forward to having an angry shark sword biting my arm off.
[Samehada] (Legendary)
A sentient sword utilised by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and is regarded as the most terrifying of all the Seven Ninja Swordsmen's blades; it also dislikes the element of fire as it is far too hot for its liking
Samehada cannot absorb ambient chakra
Total CP Storage: (CP X 20)
Total CP Drain per Second: Depends on Samehada's mood and how good the chakra tastes
Total Weight: (Current Stored Chakra ÷ END)
Requirements to wield effectively: STR must be higher than Total Weight
Partial Fusion Form Requirements: (Current Stored Chakra) must have more than half of the user's total CP; or the user is in danger of imminent death, in which case Samehada will transfer all its current CP into HP for the wielder
Complete Fusion Form Requirements: Samehada's wielding requirements exceed the user's STR; Samehada will then initiate the transformation automatically
Partial Fusion Form: Restores CP and/or HP by the amount of Current Stored Chakra; 15% chance of user going berserk – negated by Offsetting Demeanor
Complete Fusion Form: All stats X 20 until Current Stored Chakra is reduced back to zero (at max CP Storage the drain will take 20 minutes); 80% chance of user going berserk – negated by Offsetting Demeanor
Samehada is officially broken. I get a X 20 boost to all stats for up to 20 minutes? Plus it automatically prioritizes saving me if I'm dying. That is almost as overpowered as Boosted Gear… actually thinking about that, Boosted Gear doesn't boost one's HP though, does it? The most important question right now is will Samehada betray me as it did Kisame?
[No, Samehada will not betray you even if you encounter someone with stronger chakra than yourself. It is part of your third perk, plus the GM has bound it to your soul, resulting in it growing stronger alongside you instead of having a set Total CP Storage.]
Nice, on my back it goes. It's surprisingly light right now.
-50 CP
Samehada made a few rustling noises as it familiarizes itself with my chakra and its chakra signature becomes identical to mine… Hehehe, I'm feeling like a kid when Christmas came early but I can't bring myself to care. I have one of the coolest weapons in Naruto on my back purring like a kitten right now.
Now let's learn how to fight with Samehada while I'm at this.
Skill Added
[Kirigakure Kenjutsu] (Passive)
A sword style developed to suit any of the Seven Swords of the Mist and is compatible with techniques such as Silent Killing
Damage per Attack: 10% - 100% of ({STR + DEX} X Rank of Blade)
What does it mean by the rank of blades?
[Rank goes as follows: Trash, Common, Rare, Epic, Mythical, Legendary. Trash gives a 1 X, Common at 2 X, Rare at 4 X, Epic at 6 X, Mythical at 8 X and Legendary giving a 10 X boost.]
So following this I will be doing my Strength plus my Dexterity combined times ten? So right now my maximum output will be 285 and my minimum is 28.5… Samehada you're the best… Samehada growled in agreement from its perch my back.
Skill Added
[Kirigakure Taijutsu] (Passive)
A combat style complementing the sword style of the Hidden Mist
Damage per Attack: 100% - 200% of STR stat
15% chance of Critical Hit per attack
I feel so much more in control of my limbs all of a sudden. A 15% chance of critical hitting as a passive is immensely useful. I recall that I landed a critical hit on the Timber Wolf earlier; the question though is whether or not the critical hit was a one-off thing, a headshot or because I hit one of its vitals with a kunai.
[Dealing damage to one of the vital points of an opponents body will result in critical hits; the amount of the critical hit depends on the vital point in question. Hitting a spot on the body which causes instant death will result in exactly that; a critical hit which reduces the target HP to zero. Then there are the extra critical hit chances, where even just nicking the skin can cause immense critical hit damage. Be warned that the first two examples apply to the Player as well.]
So in other words, a combination of all three. This proves that this game is much better than other the other Gamer's I used to enjoy reading about back in my previous life in that if I bury a kunai in a guy's skull it will kill and vice versa. Other Gamer's have the Gamer's Body as a skill, so even if they get shot in the head it only causes a set amount of damage, whereas getting shot in the head will actually kill me. On the bright side, I have three different methods of causing crits. Not to mention that even if I do take lethal damage as long as Samehada has chakra it can just heal me right up again.
Now to get the Summoning Contract over and done with.
Sign the [Shark Summoning Contract]
[Shark Summoning Contract]
Summons members of the Shark Clan to aid their summoners in battle; weakness is not tolerated by any member of the Shark Clan, including their summoners
The Shark Clan does not require a test of worthiness; rather if a wielder proves to be weaker than their summon, they are devoured instantly
[Yes][No]
'Yes'
Skill Added
[Kuchiyose no Jutsu] (Active)
Allows one to summon creatures with whom they have made summoning contracts with
200 CP for infant summon
1 000 CP for juvenile summon
10 000 CP for full-grown summon
50 000 CP for Boss summon
That is a whole fucking lot of chakra needed for a fucking boss summon. Heck, even Kid Naruto needed Kyuubi's chakra in order to summon the boss toad, so why am I even surprised? As for the Shark Clan's Boss… I'm not summoning that thing anytime soon – I can see why Kisame didn't summon out even a full-grown shark summon in his fights, in the off chance he got injured enough the summon will turn on him in an instant… heck, even the toad boss could brawl with Shukaku, the goddamn Ichibi… no way am I even trying to summon anything beyond a juvenile until I'm sure I'm not over my head.
Oh… what's this? An extra item in my inventory?
[Timber Wolf Pendant]
A memento to never forget your vow; to be the strongest in order to achieve everything, but to never lose sight of your morals in the process
Samehada can now absorb all energies and convert into CP
Mokuton can now absorb all energies and convert into CP or SP
…I'm not an anime protagonist who can say that they'll never go back on their word, but I will promise this: I will become the strongest. Not just for myself and my own personal ambitions, but also for the people I have to cut down and hurt in order to reach my goal. But hey… even if everything I'm doing is all for myself, it won't hurt to help those within my reach as well, can it? So I guess my new life goal is simply to become the strongest and help those who are right in front of me. I'm not going to go around saving those people in poverty on the other side of the world, even if its perfectly within my capabilities, simply because I was always a selfish bastard… but even if it's hypocritical of me, I can't stand still when someone is in trouble right in front of me.
I'm not a great person, but I'm not necessarily a bad person either… I'm just an ordinary guy who was lucky enough to get a second chance, but either way, I'm gonna live life the way I want to live it. But the first order of business, of course, is to become so ridiculously overpowered that no-one will ever try to order me to do something that I don't want to.
Quest Added
[The Strongest One]
Objective: Become the strongest in a universe
Bonus Objective: Become the strongest in two different universes
Rewards: ~
Yea… one step at a time though… and did I seriously just declare that I'll beat everybody in Highschool DxD? Like Great Red, Trihexa and the ExE gods everybody?
[It appears that way, and before you ask, no, you cannot decline a quest until you unlock the Multiverse Travel ability and enter a universe other than your starting world.]
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK! I don't want to fight giant dragons fueled by dreams, chimeras embodying destruction or gods which can one-shot the former… FUCK ME!
Woo… deep breaths… In and out… alright, since it's already decided I can't just wimp out. Gotta take the baby steps first though, one challenge at a time.
[Nice. You have reached the end of the tutorial. You will now be deployed into the world of Highschool DxD in a body 16 years of age. How many years before canon do you wish to be deployed? Note: this heavily affects your upcoming quest.]
Unlike most self-inserts in fanfics, I have no desire to sit through high school any more than necessary… but I didn't actually get to graduate, so maybe that's something I'll have to do. So maybe five years before canon? This way I'll be 21 years old when the whole shitstorm comes, and I could probably just use Henge to blend in to finish my final year of high school – my mother would be on my case real bad if she heard that I skipped it.
[Alright then. Currently, you are already inside the DxD-verse, just a place not many beings ever visit. Complete this next quest and we shall speak again. Until then, farewell.]
Wait, what? That sounds kind of ominous.
Quest Added
[The Path to the Strongest]
Objective: Within four years become the Strongest Human
Bonus Objective: Challenge Vasco Strada for the title of Strongest Human
Rewards: ~
Oh shit… so I guess it's time to start the infamous training montage?
AN: Sorry guys, the US election was very distracting. Therefore this chapter may be really bad, and for that, I wholeheartedly apologize (though I will still burn your house down if you flame me – as per usual). If you guys see any errors be sure to point them out and I'll fix 'em quickly. Also, next chapter is of course a training montage.
