Chapter 6

"Yusuke? Yusuke, wake up. Please Yusuke, don't leave me!" Atsuko was kneeling at Yusuke's bed, shaking him, and he was stirring from sleep.

"What's the deal?" he mumbled.

"You're back. Thank goodness!" Tears of relief spilled from Atsuko's eyes.

Yusuke sat up. "Yes Mother, I'm alive just like yesterday," he picked up the clock next to his bed. "Don't normal people sleep at six am?"

"There's some exceptions to that rule," a voice piped up. Sakura appeared in the doorway. Woken by their mother's panicked voice, Sakura had clambered out of bed and headed for Yusuke's room.

"But I...but I had a dream that you asked to go away again because of me!" Atsuko bawled.

Yusuke looked at his sister, his eyes pleading with her to intervene.

Sakura sighed. "Mother, it's alright. We're all here. It was just a dream. Why don't you go to the kitchen and I'll be there in a minute to make you some breakfast?"

Atsuko nodded with the air of a sad child. "It was so scary," she muttered and left wiping her eyes. Sakura turned to her twin, who looked completely exasperated.

"She's done that every morning since I came back to life. Oh well, guess it beats being passed out on the floor,"

"Agreed," Sakura nodded. "Now get up. We're both going back to school today,"

Yusuke groaned. "Come off it Squirt, I've been up most of the night,"

She whipped Yusuke's blankets off him. "You're not skipping today. So get up, unless you want me to get the water,"

Yusuke glared at Sakura as he got out of bed.

The Urameshi twins' return to school was not an event Yusuke was particularly excited about. Nobody seemed overly thrilled that Yusuke had returned aside from Keiko, Kuwabara and Sakura. Even Takenaka had gruffly ordered Yusuke to first period, and he begrudgingly went to every class until gym class rolled around. Yusuke made his intentions to skip crystal clear, and he promptly vanished.

The burns on her arms had suffered from the previous day's escapades, but it meant Sakura was exempt from gym which was fine with her. Now that Sakura knew where Yusuke liked to slack off, she was making a beeline for the roof.

"Yusuke? You up here?"

The only answer was soft snoring. Sakura sighed. Yusuke was sound asleep, though how he could possibly get comfortable enough to do so on concrete was beyond her.

"Sakura! How wonderful to see you, dear!"

Sakura looked up. Botan was standing before her. "Oh hi Botan. What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you, actually," Botan smiled like sunshine. "See, I don't feel like we've been properly acquainted and I'd like to correct this,"

Sakura couldn't help but smile back. "Well sure, I'd be fine with that,"

"I have a rough grasp of who you are, since I got to observe you so much while Yusuke was fulfilling his ordeal, but since you're going to be working alongside him as Spirit Detective, I owe you a number of explanations. So let's talk. I'll tell you anything you want to know!"

Sakura tilted her head to the side. "Well, let's start from the beginning. What's a Spirit Detective? What do they do?"

"A Spirit Detective solves cases involving demons and apparitions that infiltrate the human race,"

Sakura blinked. "Does that happen often?"

"Oh yes," Botan chirped. "More than you realise. Yusuke isn't the first detective for this world, and he won't be the last. They just tend to be more undercover is all,"

"And what do I have to do with this?"

"You're twins," Botan said simply. "Two halves of a whole. The connection you two naturally share will be invaluable in this path. You had enough spirit awareness to see and talk to Yusuke when he was a ghost after just one dream encounter. Usually, that would be impossible for any human. Even Keiko wasn't able to do that. But you could. That's when I knew you were something special,"

"Would you mind explaining what you mean by spirit awareness and spirit energy? I've been hearing those phrases thrown around a lot,"

Botan pulled out her notebook. "In short, Spirit Awareness is being able to sense the presence of unseen spirits. Spirit energy is possessed by all humans and can be used as a powerful weapon by those who are spiritually aware enough to channel it,"

Sakura nodded slowly. This was starting to make sense. "Koenma said something about him getting cool powers,"

"Ah," Botan's face lit up. "It's a variety of detective equipment which he'll learn to use as his Spirit Energy grows. I've given him one already, it's called the psychic spyglass which can see through walls, clothing, you name it. It's in his pocket right now, I believe,"

Sakura glanced over at Yusuke. "Is that why he was out in the backyard with you at 2am?"

"Yes," Botan bristled. "And of course he immediately used it inappropriately,"

"Oh, so that's why you whacked him with your oar! Nice shot!" Sakura laughed. "Seriously though, I'm sorry about him. He's a complete pain sometimes,"

"So polite. How you ended up that way with your irresponsible mother and Yusuke's bad attitude is nothing short of a miracle," Botan shook her head in amazement. "Any other questions?"

"Yes," Sakura continued. "If I'm going to be helping Yusuke, do I get any of these powers too?"

"Well of course, dear!" Botan smiled wider than ever. "In fact, that's another thing I wanted to discuss with you. One of your powers has already been awakened thanks to your connection with Yusuke,"

"Wait a second," Sakura held up a hand. "You wouldn't happen to be talking about how I apparently read Yusuke's mind, are you?"

"That's exactly right! You certainly catch on quickly," Botan nodded. "Sakura Urameshi, I believe you are a telepath. Right now it appears you can only look into Yusuke's head, but with the proper training, who knows what you could accomplish?"

"I'm a telepath?" Sakura asked weakly. "But how?"

"Essentially, the ability lay dormant your whole life, but it stirred during your spirit encounters with Yusuke's ghost, and was awakened when you reconnected once he came back,"

"That seems awfully convenient," Sakura felt very uncertain.

"Well, not really. Human twins do tend to have some sort of bond. I suppose that the spirit awareness simply enhanced what was already there,"

Sakura's mind was being thrown on so many loops. "Can I learn to control it? Use it in other ways?"

"I believe so," Botan squeezed her hand. "I'm able to receive telepathic messages, so I should be able to assist in that regard. And if it's not enough, there are many contacts through Spirit World who would be more than happy to train you,"

"This is a lot to take in," Sakura admitted. "But considering my brother died and came back to life, I'll go with it,"

"I did what now?" Yusuke yawned behind them, waking up from his nap. "Kura? What's going on here? I thought you had gym class?"

Sakura held up her still-bandaged arms. "Thanks to these burns I don't. I figured I'd come hang out with you. Botan showed up to fill me in on some things. Apparently you have some new detective toy?"

"Huh?" Yusuke rubbed his eyes. "Oh yeah, the psychic spyglass. Here," he dug in his pocket and held it up. It was a tiny magnifying glass about the size of a keyring.

"Oh, that reminds me, I need to take care of those injuries," Botan giggled.

"What are you going to do?" Sakura asked.

"Just a little healing magic, quite standard in Spirit World really. Now hold still,"

Yusuke was looking over curiously. Sakura fixed him with a hard stare. "Back to class, bro,"

Yusuke opened his mouth to argue, but under Sakura's icy look he shrugged and went back downstairs.

Botan giggled as she focused her energy on Sakura's forearms. "Honestly, I don't know how you manage to keep him in check,"

"Sometimes it takes a power greater than I," Sakura smiled. "But occasionally I can get him to behave. Anyhow, d'you really think this'll work on my arms?"

"Why don't you have a look?" Botan unwrapped the bandages concealing the burns. Sakura gasped. Her arms were no longer traffic-stopping red, but a dark pink. The blisters had shrunk to less than half their size and the bloodstains had greatly diminished.

"Botan, wow! That's incredible! Thank you so much!"

"It's not a problem, sweetheart," Botan smiled and called for her oar. "It'll take another day or so, but you should be all healed in no time. Though I'd still keep the bandages on, if I were you,"

"I will," Sakura said gratefully. "And in terms of the telepathy, will you start training me as soon as possible?"

"Of course!" Botan laughed. "I should inform you, even though you can't talk back to me, I should be able to send you any urgent telepathic messages. But it won't be long until we can communicate more effectively!"

"Sounds good. Look, I should really get back to class, but will I see you again soon?"

"Absolutely, Sakura. Very soon. We have a lot of work to do," Waving, Botan took to the skies. Sakura took a moment to reapply the bandages to her arms, then headed to her next lesson.

She was approaching Class 2B when the sounds of shouting and struggling could be heard.

Mr Iwamoto's giant frame swept out of the room, dragging Yusuke along with him. "I think a visit to the principal is in order, Urameshi,"

"I didn't do anything!"

Sakura ran toward them but was stopped by an indignant looking Keiko. "Keiko, what the hell is going on?"

"Some items were stolen during gym class, and everyone's assuming Yusuke took them!" Keiko's eyes flashed with anger.

Sakura was so angry she couldn't speak. She stormed into the classroom where all her classmates were looking anywhere but her.

"Did I hear correctly?" Sakura growled. "You all just accused my brother of stealing?"

"We had our stuff before gym, now it's gone and he's the only one who skipped. You think that's a coincidence?"

"Newsflash, brainiac. I wasn't in gym either and he was with me the whole time!" Sakura shouted. "My brother might be a pain in the ass, but he is not a thief!"

"He's a thug, Sakura. You don't need to defend him. Nobody's blaming you for how he is," one of the boys said coolly.

"You're unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable," Sakura turned on her heel and raced from the room.

"Kura! Where are you going?!" Keiko called after her.

The door to Takenaka's office was shut, but Sakura could hear the racket inside.

"Get off me, lughead. I didn't do it!" Yusuke yelled.

"Don't LIE!"

Sakura burst through the door just in time to witness Iwamoto punch her brother in the jaw. Without hesitation, she flung herself between them.

"STOP!"

"Kura?"

"Miss Urameshi?"

Sakura breathed heavily. She saw Yusuke wipe away a trickle of blood from his mouth and clenched her fists. "Don't you touch my brother,"

"Don't you talk back to me, Miss Urameshi! Your brother stole from at least three students!"

"Mr Iwamoto! I trust you found evidence before punishing?" Mr Takenaka interjected sternly.

"Yes, all the evidence I need, Mr Takenaka," Iwamoto replied smoothly. "There was no trouble at school when he was gone and the minute he's back, look what we have,"

He advanced on Yusuke with a despicably arrogant expression on his face. "This poisonous weed was the only student skipping gym when the items were stolen. Must've learned that trick from your tramp mother,"

"Are you that dense?" Sakura snapped. "I wasn't in gym either, if you recall. Yusuke was with me the whole time. He never stole anything,"

Iwamoto shook his head in mock sorrow. "Conveniently skipping gym at the same time as your delinquent twin? I didn't want to believe you were involved, Miss Urameshi, but it would appear you've finally been poisoned by your brother as well,"

"Mr Iwamoto!" Takenaka admonished. "Sakura is a model student. Do you really believe she'd stoop to that?"

"A model student? Running in here and questioning my authority? Insisting her brother is innocent when she knows better than all of us what he's like?"

Yusuke stepped forward and pushed Sakura slightly behind him. "You can...do whatever you want to me," he seemed to be having difficulty talking due to rage. "But you won't drag my sister into this," he raised his fist. "And I won't let you lie about my mother!"

Yusuke swung towards Iwamoto's gleeful face. Iwamoto didn't even try to dodge. His look of pure triumph made a lightbulb flash in Sakura's mind.

She reached forward. "Yusuke, no! It's what he wants!"

"Hey, Yusuke! Sakura!"

Everything froze. Koenma popped out of thin air, floating above Iwamoto's lifeless form. Sakura had successfully grabbed hold of Yusuke.

"Let go, Squirt! Wait, Koenma?!" Yusuke stammered.

"Have I got a big case for you!" Koenma seemed frantic. "Three criminals have stolen the Great Artefacts of Darkness from my father's vault, made slush out of the guards and escaped to the living world!"

Yusuke blinked and pointed at Iwamoto. "Can't you see I'm busy with this asshole here?" He realised what he'd said and slapped his hands over his mouth.

"Don't worry about him, kids. Right now he can't see or hear us!"

Sakura glanced around. Nothing was happening. Even the colour seemed to have drained away from their surroundings.

"I think it's best if I don't question how this works…" she muttered wearily.

Yusuke relaxed, but only slightly. "Well anyway, can't you call back later or something?!"

"Stupid! This is much more important! If these stolen artefacts are used to their potential, the entire living world will be in a state of chaos and suffering. Lost lives, captured souls, and a bunch of other unpleasant things. Got it?!"

"I'm not going anywhere for some dumb theft case until I clear up my own, ok?" Yusuke snapped.

Sakura was starting to get dizzy from looking back and forth between her brother and the toddler.

"Well, there's your culprit right there!" Koenma informed the twins irritably, pointing at Iwamoto. "Take out your psychic spyglass and look into his left pocket!"

A bewildered Yusuke fished out said spyglass and did what Koenma suggested. He gasped. "I don't believe it!"

"NOW HURRY UP AND DO YOUR THING!" Koenma shrieked.

Yusuke turned to Sakura. "You trust me, Squirt?" Sakura nodded. "Ok. Now let go of my arm and let me take care of this, right?"

Sakura released him just as Koenma unfroze the moment. Yusuke's trajectory changed and he dove into Iwamoto's pocket, pulling out the missing items.

Takenaka crossed his arms. "An explanation, Mr Iwamoto?"

"Well come on, isn't it obvious?" Iwamoto sputtered, beads of sweat appearing on his forehead. "This master thief here has slipped it into my pocket! Yes...in fact I'm so mad about it I can't even look at him anymore!"

He turned from Yusuke, only to find himself staring directly into Sakura's livid face.

"Even by your standards, that's pathetic," she glared.

"Out of my way, girl," Iwamoto shoved past Sakura towards the door.

"Sir! You can't just let him get away with that!" Sakura looked at Takenaka.

"Leave it to me, Miss Urameshi," Takenaka was halfway out the door. "Iwamoto! I'm afraid we have more to discuss!"

"He really tried to set me up!" Yusuke sounded just as enraged as Sakura felt.

"That lowlife!" she spat.

There was a tiny pop as Koenma reappeared. "You've been freed from the charge. Now get to work!"

"Ok, ok, I'll get to it," Yusuke slammed his fist into his hand. "But before that, he pays,"

"That's not smart policy, Yusuke," Koenma scolded. "Assaulting a teacher when you've been set free,"

"He may be a toddler, but Koenma's right, bro," Sakura gently squeezed his shoulder. "You'd probably be expelled. Frankly, I think he was counting on that,"

"I can't just let him go like that!" Yusuke cried.

"Then attack him invisibly," Koenma suggested in an isn't-it-obvious tone.

"Give me a break. Do I look invisible?" snapped Yusuke.

"It's one of your new abilities. Try to take control of your Spirit Energy and then gather as much as you can into your right index finger,"

Yusuke looked at his right hand as small shiny particles began to gather around it. "Hey, it's getting warm,"

"Good. Now all you have to do is aim and shoot. Imagine the trigger in your mind and then pull it tight,"

Yusuke pulled his 'concentration face' and aimed at Iwamoto. A beam of bright light shot from Yusuke's hand and connected squarely with Iwamoto's back, knocking him to the ground.

Takenaka knelt beside him. "Iwamoto, are you alright? What happened?"

"It worked," Yusuke commented, astonished.

"That's your Spirit Gun," Koenma explained.

"My what?"

"A human being, as I've explained before, emits both body and spirit energy. While you were a ghost you became more aware of your Spirit Energy and can channel it into your finger. Sakura, you should be able to do something similar as well. It's far more powerful than a normal punch, but until you increase your spirit muscle, so to speak, you can only use it once a day,"

"This is all fascinating, but don't you think we should continue this conversation somewhere a little more discreet?!" Sakura hissed.

"Fair enough. You should come along too, Sakura. I'll need to brief you both on the case,"

"Wait a minute!" Sakura held up her hand. "There's only an hour left of school. We're going back to class to finish up and then you can take us any place you want,"

"I'm not going back after what they all said to me!" Yusuke snorted.

"And how much worse will it look if you don't come back?" Sakura rolled her eyes.

"Sakura, this is a very pressing case. We really can't afford any delays,"

Sakura sighed and took the stolen items from Yusuke. "Just give me two minutes to give these back, ok? Two minutes. I don't think that's unreasonable,"

"...Ok, fine!" Koenma said. "But not a moment more!"

Sakura raced down the hallway towards class 2B, but Keiko appeared halfway there. "Kura!" she said breathlessly. "What happened? Is everything ok?"

"Couldn't be better," Sakura replied curtly. She handed over the items. "Iwamoto took them. He was trying to set Yusuke up, that jumped up old…"

Keiko gasped. "Seriously?"

"I'm dead serious. Look, I have to get back to Yusuke and Takenaka. I probably won't be back at class today while this gets sorted, so could you grab my bag for me?"

"One step ahead of you," Keiko handed over said bag.

"Keiko, you are the greatest. Could you do me a favour and return these? Make sure they know who really stole them. If they don't believe you, Takenaka will confirm," she added darkly.

"You can count on me," Keiko grasped Sakura's hand. "Good luck!"

Sakura took her bag and hurried back to where Koenma and Yusuke were waiting. "Sorted. Let's go,"

"One minute, 38 seconds. I'm impressed. You'll be quite the asset," Koenma snapped his fingers and the three of them vanished, reappearing in an unfamiliar and dilapidated room.

Sakura looked around. "Where are we?"

"An old warehouse near the school, but that's not important right now. As I said, three weapons were stolen from my father's vault. Your chief concern will be recovering the items,"

Koenma shot a purple orb out of his hand. As he spoke, each of the missing items appeared as if on a TV screen.

"The Shadow Sword will make a monster from whomever it cuts. The Forlorn Hope emits a cryptic power at the full moon. And the Orb of Baast can capture living souls, especially those of children,"

"Cheery," Yusuke remarked. "Who came up with that one?"

"Understand, Yusuke, these artefacts were forged from darkness and prey on the weak and desperate," Koenma said seriously. "They were created eons ago by the universe itself and serve as a vital role in balancing life. But in the wrong hands, they can also destroy and tip the scale towards evil. Get them, kids. As living humans, you're the best chance we've got while they're on earth,"

Yusuke smiled and got to his feet. "Don't say anything more. You brought me back to life, right? Well, I'm guessing I can do something useful to earn my keep,"

"You look like you have something to say, Sakura," Koenma turned to the girl.

"I do," Sakura agreed. "You said something about me being able to use the Spirit Gun as well?"

"Ah, that's right. I did," Koenma nodded. "However, it won't be exactly like Yusuke's. Yours is the Spirit Blast. Make your hands into a triangle and focus your energy. See what happens,"

Perplexed, Sakura did as she was told while Yusuke looked on curiously. Heat began gathering in her fingertips. A magenta light gently pulsed in the centre of the triangle.

"Excellent! Now push that energy outwards!"

Sakura lowered her hands. "Actually Mr Koenma, I believe I'll hold off. You said earlier that Yusuke would only be able to use the Spirit Gun once a day for the time being? I imagine that rule applies to me as well. And if we run into trouble while looking for the artefacts today, I'd prefer to not leave us defenceless,"

Koenma stared for a moment before leaning back and roaring with laughter. "Brilliant!" he howled. "Absolutely brilliant! You certainly have more than enough brains for both of you, my girl,"

"Hey, I'm standing right here!" Yusuke protested.

"It's just common sense," Sakura went slightly pink. "Besides, Yusuke's a genius at fighting. I wouldn't have a clue,"

"Speak for yourself, Squirt. I haven't forgotten that black eye you gave me when we were 6," Yusuke muttered.

"It's in your hands, Yusuke," Koenma bowed to the twins. "Good luck,"

The uptown shopping strip was no more crowded than usual but that did nothing to cheer up Yusuke.

"All these rich kids...all shopping. How does Koenma expect us to find them in this mess?" the twins flopped down on a park bench. "Some help he was. 'We think they're somewhere in uptown,' he says!"

"First of all, you need to work on that impression of Koenma more. Secondly, be patient. We only just got here," Sakura reminded him.

"Yeah, well, we would've gotten here a lot sooner if you hadn't insisted on going home so you could change clothes!" Yusuke grizzled, gesturing to the black pants and green hoodie Sakura now wore. He lay down and tucked his hands under his head, staring up at the sky.

Sakura shook her head in annoyance. "Yusuke, I am NOT chasing after demons in my school uniform!" She leaned backwards, feeling the sun on her face.

"By the way, Squirt, what was Botan talking to you about on the roof?" Yusuke asked without looking at her.

"Oh, that?" the conversation felt like days ago, instead of hours. "Well, she mainly answered my questions about Spirit World, told me I'm a telepath and offered to train me, then you woke up,"

"Wait, what?"

"Yeah, turns out I have telepathy. That's how I heard your thoughts yesterday. Apparently twins naturally have a connection, and since you awoke your spirit awareness, that brought it out for me when you came back to life. For now, it seems I can only read your mind, and even that seems a bit sporadic but Botan was sure that I could get stronger with the right training,"

Yusuke was staring at Sakura with wide eyes. But before he could say anything, he flickered his gaze back upwards. "Hello, that feels a little awkward,"

The sky turning blood red had caught his attention. Yusuke narrowed his eyes. Frantic voices began shouting close by.

"Someone, call an ambulance!"

"It's a kid!"

"What happened?"

"I don't know, he fainted!"

Yusuke sat up quickly. Sakura got to her feet. "Over there," she pointed to a crowd that was gathering. Yusuke and Sakura slipped through the rabble and saw what had happened.

A passerby was holding an unconscious little boy who stared ahead with blank, glassy eyes. A puff of white vapour floated from his mouth. Sakura felt her heart drop. Her brother's gasp indicated he saw it too, though she had a feeling they were the only ones who could.

The Orb of Baast. It can capture living souls, especially those of children. Yusuke's thoughts floated back into her mind for the first time since the day before.

The vapour danced into the air. Yusuke grinned at Sakura. "I think that's what they call a lead, Squirt,"

He grabbed her wrist and yanked her along behind him, following the child's soul along the street. The soul cloud turned a corner. The twins chased it through several alleyways until they reached a dodgy looking part of town.

Yusuke gritted his teeth in frustration. "Damn it, we lost it!"

Shady looking figures lumbered around. "Stay close to me," Yusuke said quietly to his sister.

"Yusuke," Sakura muttered. "Didn't Botan give you that spyglass? Do you think that could help?"

"Hang on," Yusuke seemed to focus on a large man sitting calmly on an upturned box, smiling in a way neither of the twins liked.

"He's a monster!" Sakura breathed, noticing the horns on his head just like the horns on Sakamoto.

Yusuke pulled out the psychic spyglass and held it to his face. There it is, the orb thingy.

"So you found it," Sakura smiled triumphantly.

"Huh? Oh yeah, the whole telepathy thing," Yusuke mumbled. The demon yawned and began to leave down another side alley.

"Here goes," Yusuke took a step forward, but someone placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey kid, you got some cash for me?"

"Sorry minor league, I don't have time for you," Yusuke brushed off his hand as more unwelcome visitors surrounded them. Many were eyeing Sakura. She drew closer to Yusuke.

"Wrong answer," one chuckled.

Yusuke shrugged. "Well, don't say I didn't give you fair warning!" And with that, Yusuke swung his well-practised fist into the man's jaw, followed by a kick to another. Both were knocked to the ground, completely dazed.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing with him?" the third idiot wrapped an arm possessively around Sakura. "I could show you a good time, sweetheart,"

"Yusuke!" Instinctively, she elbowed her assailant in the groin and he went down screaming and cursing.

Her brother turned from the fourth idiot he'd taken down. "Hands off!"

Yusuke slammed both fists into the guy's back, ensuring he wouldn't be getting up anytime soon. He pulled Sakura out of the guy's reach.

"Nice job, Squirt. Are you ok?"

"I'm fine," Sakura said, though she looked slightly distressed. "Can't believe I did that...let's go after that monster!"

Yusuke looked in all directions. "Damn, he's gone!"

Sakura? Can you hear me? Botan's voice sounded in Sakura's mind.

Sakura shut her eyes to concentrate. "Botan? Is that you?"

I know you can't reply, but just listen. I'm coming in from Spirit World. We've just found out the identities of the demons who stole the artefacts!

"Go ahead Botan!"

"Botan?" Yusuke flicked his head back and forth. "Where?"

"Hush, Yusuke. She's talking to me through telepathy!"

"Oh right," Yusuke slipped his hands into his pockets.

There's Kurama. An image of an attractive young man with long rose-coloured hair appeared in Sakura's head.

We don't know anything else but his name. There's no record of him anywhere in the files. There's also Hiei.

Botan showed a surly looking figure with a shock of black spiky hair, a white bandana and a serious dose of resting bitch face.

He's also a mystery case. No criminal record, unknown origin, and seems to be a loner, but witnesses say he's ruthless. Finally we have Gōki . He's your garden variety repeat offender with a string of previous convictions and an alarming body count to his name. I hate to say it, but this is a dangerous bunch. I'm on my way to the Living World to help you both, so please be careful until I arrive, got it?

Sakura nodded and steeled her conviction. Gōki was the monster they had just seen seconds previously.

"Yusuke, I'm sure that demon went that way. I have the names of who we're looking for, and I know what they look like now. Let's go get them!"
