Previously On Violet Marie Jonas:
After everyone receives their awards the kids are allowed to spend some time with their families before lunch.
Kevin: We are so proud of you Tay.
Selena: So proud of you sissy.
Jesse: Yeah Tay, You did really good.
Demi: Girl we need to do something.
Joe: Proud of you Tay Tay.
Dani: Like seriously proud, We are gonna have some type of a celebration this weekend.
Zac: Yes starting with a hug from me. (He hugs her while she still has a huge smile on her face.)
Katie: Congrats Tay.
Nick: Good job sis. Very proud of you.
Peyton and Violet walk up and violet hugs Taylor.
Violet: Congrats sis.
Taylor: Thank you everyone.
Violet: Well its lunch time and Peyton and I are gonna go eat. Meet us at our usual table?
Taylor: Yeah i'll be right there. Thank you all so much for coming but I have to go i'll see you tonight?
Kevin: Yes you will.
She hugs everyone and takes off towards Violet and Peyton. The guys all head to the production company while the girls all head home.

Oh and this chapter is based on the death I had that really affected me the most from 2018. I just need to write it because she was my best friend since I was 7 and I feel like a huge part of me is gone. Hope you guys enjoy.

(Nick's POV)
Selena was gone for the week as she went to spend some time with grace and her mom since her and I plan on starting the adoption process when she gets back. Im chilling on the couch with almost everyone while looking at my facebook. It wasn't something i usually did but something today told me to. So anyway, its almost 6 o'clock and i'm scrolling through my feed when I come across a post about Maya. I start to read it and its like a blanket is thrown over me and I suddenly can't breathe.
Jesse: Nick you ok man? You look like you're gonna pass out.
Kevin: Nick What's wrong?
Me: I..I.. Uh.. She's Gone. (He starts to shed tears)
Kevin: Who's gone?
Me: Maya.. (His voice cracks) She's dead.
Joe: What? How?
Me: According to this post a car accident... She was heading home and wasn't wearing a seatbelt, she lost control and ended up in a ditch she went through the windshield and her car landed on top of her. They also are saying there was alcohol involved.
Kevin: I'm so sorry nick.
Me: I just want to be alone if thats cool. I'll be in my room.
I walk away and go to my room tears still streaming down my face. I go sit at my desk. My thoughts are running a mile a minute and I feel like a piece of me has been torn out. I just sit there allowing my thoughts to consume me.
* Meanwhile in the living room*
Kevin: I don't know what to do.
Joe: Give him some space. I mean she was his best friend growing up.
Zac: Maybe we should just try to be there for him?
Jesse: Or we can have Violet go check on him?
Kevin: Oooh, good idea. VIOLET! (She comes running down the stairs)
Violet: Yeah...
Kevin: Go check on Nick please.
Violet: Um ok but why?
Kevin: He just found out Maya died.
Violet: Oh, i'm on it.
I hear soft knocking at my door.
Me: (Voice Cracking) Come in.
Violet: Nicky?
Me: Violet i just wanna be... (She walks over to him and side hugs him)
Violet: No you don't, at least not really.
Me: I just don't understand how she could be so irresponsible? How could she put herself in that position? I have no one to blame. It was an accident from choices she made.
Violet: I'm so sorry nicky.
Me: Thanks Vi.
She lays next to him and is just there for him.
-A Few Months Later-
(Noones POV)
Nick and Selena have started the adoption process and so far they haven't had much luck. They almost had the chance to adopt a newborn but the birth mother changed her mind about giving her baby up at the last second. So now they are back to waiting.
They end up waiting only a few months before a little boy who's dad had passed when he was born and who's mother had recently gone to prison along with her boyfriend. They had been charged when a neighbor called CPS after they heard a little kid screaming and what sounded like something hitting skin. Turns out they had been hurting this little boy for several months before a neighbor happened to be home at the right time to call for help. Worst part was he was only a little under a year old. The mothers rights were taken away as soon as she was found guilty. Her parents weren't able to take him in and the biological fathers parents had passed years before their son did. So the little boy had been placed up for adoption. Nick and Selena has gone to meet him.
(Nick's POV)
As we drive to the agency we start talking about our expectations and our fears for this whole thing.
Me: Babe I'm just saying let's not get our hopes up. I mean I know we already have but let's just try not to.
Selena: I'm trying not to, but at the same time I just have this feeling.
Me: Yeah I have the same feeling. Maybe that means it will go well. I don't know.
We pull up to the building and we both get out, Selena grabs my hand and we walk in together.
The woman at the front desk told us to take a seat and that they would be right with us. The place is set up with several little seating areas in order for meetings with the kids and potential adopters. In a few minutes we see this woman holding a little boys hand walk up to us. She sits in one of the chairs across from us after letting go of his little hand.
Selena: Hi cutie I'm Selena and this is my husband Nick.
Woman: My name is Kate and this little cutie is Anthony. He's a 10 months old and I know that you already knew that. You guys just get to know him and enjoy playing and talking with him. I'll just be over there filling out paperwork.
After a couple of hours of them spending time with him and Kate going back and forth between checking in with them and finishing her paperwork, Kate comes back to see them.
Kate: Well it looks as if he's taken with you both.
Me: I think I can speak for both of us when I say we are taken with him.
Selena: Yeah absolutely.
Kate: Ok perfect so does that mean you are interested in going through with the adoption.
Me: Yes
Selena: Definitely
Kate: Alright Perfect. I brought the paperwork with me to start it. You just have to sign it and we will call you with a court date to see the judge. Would you guys like to take him home tonight or do you wanna wait for the judge to decide?
Selena: We would love to take him home tonight.
Kate: Alright. He doesn't have much just some clothes and one teddy bear.
Me: We can get him all he needs. That won't be a problem.
Kate: Ok well in that case I hope it all goes well for you both. There shouldn't be an issue with the judge allowing his adoption. Have a good night.
Selena: Thank you.
Selena picks Anthony up and he lays his head on her shoulder as her and nick walk back out to the car. They buckle him in to the car seat and Selena sits next to him in the back seat and brushes his hair out of his eyes as he starts to fall asleep. Nick drives them home. When they get home they had already set up a crib in their room where they placed him.
Selena: Awww look at him sleep. He's so peaceful and beautiful.
Me: Yeah he is and he's almost all ours. Let's go to sleep and hopefully we'll hear back from her in the morning.
About four hours later they woke up to Anthony crying.
Me: Hey baby boy what's the matter?
He carries him downstairs and puts him in Valentina's old high chair that Kevin set up for them and started cutting up banana trying to be quiet so he didn't wake the others. He then sat in front of the high chair and gave him the banana pieces. As Anthony was eating Nick was sitting there watching him. When Anthony was done he cleaned him up and removed him from the high chair. He carries him back upstairs and takes him into the bed with him and Selena. They all cuddle up and fall asleep again only to woken up a few hours later to nicks phone ringing.
Me: Hello... Yes this is he... wait really? Oh that's awesome! Thank you so much Kate. Everything is perfect. Yeah ok thanks again bye.
Selena: What did she say?
Me: The judge turned out to be Judge Michael. When he saw the names he decided he didn't need a court date and he made it official He is ours Sel. Little Anthony Jerry Jonas.
Selena: Awww I love it! You went with my suggestion.
Me: Yeah and I figure when we adopt our next one we can do a girl and use your middle name for her.
Selena: Yeah ok sounds good. But right now I think I wil go get our little man fed so we can go shopping for his needs.
Me: Alright sounds good. I'll just take a quick shower and I'll meet you downstairs for it.
She heads downstairs while he jumps in the shower.
