New chapter, ill try to finish the story soon and that way you guys can read chapter to chapter without waiting for updates! I should have finished this years ago. Anyways hope you like the new chapter!

Mai woke up and felt refreshed. Nightmare after nightmare she finally had a good nights rest. The clock read 7am. She went outside her room trying to find the restroom. Lucky she found it, there was a bag left for her with toothbrush and other necessities. She looked at herself in the mirror. After he left , Mai didn't think about him, she shoved away all those feelings for Naru. Now having him near her again, its painful. How was she suppose to look at him without her heart breaking into a million pieces. Her body tensed just by having him next to her. But she needed to finish this, so she can go back to her life and move on.

As she went to the kitchen, Oliver and Lin were already sitting down having breakfast. The early bird gets the worm. "Good morning Oliver, Lin." They both looked up. "Morning Mai, please take a seat" Lin spoke. "Thank you" Mai replied. The three of them had toast with baked beans, eggs and a cup of earl gray tea. This didn't feel awkward at all. Two of the most cheerful people in the world were eating breakfast together. Once they ate Naru went straight to the point.

"Mai, i need you to please tell us your vision"

"Actually Oliver, they were two, once in the apartment and one when i passed out" she took a deep breath, it had been a while since she had visions. So she had to analyze all the information.

"I saw a murder. On the apartment, a couple were fighting. A man called William and... Sara. William slapped Sara and she fell, he got up and went for his kid who was crying on the corner of the living room. She got mad and stabbed him in the neck. He.. he.. he was dragged to the room and she called 999." She tried holding the tears, the stutter and her nerves.

Naru crossed his arms and waited for her to keep going,

"The second vision, I saw William, the guy who got murdered with a different woman, they were a happy family unlike the one in my last dream. I think her name was Akane. But suddenly my vision changed and i saw Akane with Sara and ... Mai took another deep breath, "Sara poisoned Akane and left her to die. William came after and saw his wife dead and that's all i got.

Naru got up and left, minutes later he comes back and gives some documents to Lin. "Can you please read the information i gathered to Mai, ill be back" with that he leaves the apartment.

"Sorry about Oliver, you know how he is" Lin spoke trying to be sympathetic, something he rarely does.

"Mai, there was a murder on that apartment, we were hired to solve it, it wasn't haunted until a couple of weeks ago. the crime happened 18 years ago." Lin grabbed one of the folders.

"The husband was dead at the time of the scene, they settled it saying it was on self defense and that died down, but i had no idea about the second murder."

"Akane Watanabe 32 years old was the wife of William Richards, same age, they had 3 children , Sota Watanabe 6 and two twin boys Yuto and Haru age 2" Mai interrupted "Hold on, i only saw one kid"

"The kids were toddlers when the murdered happened, they could have been in daycare when the incidents happened, but what intrigues me is that, Akane and Sara were sisters, Akane dies and Sara and William start a relationship."

"But Lin, Sara killed Akane too, so what, she kills her sister to steal her husband and kills him too, does not make sence" This was a lot to process

Lin was surprised to say the least. Mai had always spoken in cases before but not so organized as now. She surely matured nicely these past two years. Oliver could probably use some of that.

"Where are the twins?" Mai spoke worried

"We don't know, after William died, they were sent to adoption and we don't have any records of them"

Suddenly the door creaks and Oliver comes inside. Again Mai's heart has starts to race.

"Lin, I called the rest of the group, the rest will come tomorrow but Ms. Hara will follow after. This caused Mai to smile, she had seen them a couple of times but she missed them! "But on the time being i need you two please set up the apartment, to check if there's more activity after that we need to talk again."

With that they get to work, at least Mai could get her stuff back. Both Lin and Mai head out to the elevator and got to work. Once they entered the haunted apartment , Mai and Lin set up cameras,, thermal sensors and recorders. Luckily there was no activity at the moment. They say what you learn you don't forget and that was the case. She still got it and that made her feel better. Once finished , they headed back to Oliver's place. Naru sat down in the living room with a cup of tea. The black couches contrasted with his pale skin and white teacup. As the sun shined on the living room, it made him look more handsome than he already was. Lin was the first one to speak up.

"Ill be back, i have to get ingredients for lunch." and with that he left. That just left them alone. She sat down on the couch opposite to Naru. It was quiet for a few minutes, Mai couldn't look at him directly in the eye without making contact. Naru broke the silence "Mai, there is something that it's bothering me and you have the right to know." She finally made eye contact with him. "I'm all ears."

"Who gave you the scholarship?"

"Camila Rodriguez" Mai replied quickly

"No, was it the school or an organization?"

'"CEF , the organization contacted me independently and they talk through the school."

The atmosphere felt tense, they hadn't been alone or even talked to each other for the past two years.

"Do you know who is the CEO?" Naru questioned

"I have some papers let me find them" with that Mai got up and went to find her suitcase she brought back. She looked through the front part and found a thick stack of papers. She handed them to Naru and for a brief moment their fingertips touched. This made Mai pull her hand quickly "Sorry" he didn't say anything back. Naru looked for a couple of minutes the thick stack of papers as Mai sat again in the couch.

"Mai, we have a problem." This scared her.

"Sara Watanabe is the CEO, why is the killer sending you to her old apartment."
