I know it's been forever since I've updated like MONTHS but I haven't even gone on this site in that time other than to do a quickie upload I am SO SORRY but I was going through some e-mails and all of the ones I received from and it made me all nostalgic and shit. Sorry this chapter is a little short but the next one (and there will be a next one) is going to be longer.
So basically I AM CONTINUING THIS FANFICTION BECAUSE I REALLY LOVE IT I JUST FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE IT
He'll be back for her, but how do I make sure that when I send him off next time he'll be gone for good? Ciel has the queen's orders to keep her safe and while he hasn't asked me to do that I don't think I could stand it if Ash got away with her…
"Sebastian."
I'll need to stay highly alert and keep an eye on her, angels are sneaky and he could probably snag her any time I'm not paying attention but that won't stop him from showing up a hundred times over…
"Sebastian."
Perhaps I could set traps for Ash. Although they'd probably end up killing Angeline first.
"Sebastian!"
"Yes, Mey-Rin?" Sebastian replied.
"Sebastian, you're even more out of it than me today. Are you feeling alright?" Mey-Rin asked in concern.
"Fine. Mey-Rin. I'm fine."
"Okay, but don't let the master see you like that, he expects better of you."
Sebastian nodded. Shouldn't Angeline be waking up right about now?
Sebastian knocked on Angeline's door and entered upon hearing her soft voice say "Enter."
"Did you sleep well?" Sebastian asked.
"I suppose." Angeline replied, her eyes scanning a book.
"Do you need anything?"
"No, I'm fine."
Sebastian bowed slightly and exited the room. Angeline got up after finishing her chapter and pulled out the first dress she saw in the wardrobe, an emerald and white one. She was struggling to lace the silk ribbons in the back when there was a knock at the door. "Come in," She said, turning to face the door.
Sebastian entered. "You've been awhile, I was afraid Ash had come back. Is everything alright?" He asked. Angeline nodded, biting her bottom lip as she continued trying to tie the strings together. "I see," He commented, noticing vain attempts to control the silk. "Allow me,"
Angeline's face flushed as Sebastian swiftly tied the ribbon, his cool fingers brushing the back of her neck. "Thank you." She said, moving her hair to cover her back once more.
"Of course." Sebastian replied, bending at the waist.
"You don't have to bow for me, Sebastian. You work for Ciel." Angeline said.
"If you insist."
"I think it would be best for you to stay inside."
Angeline was in Ciel's study, where she seemed to be spending a lot of her mornings lately. "But-"
"No buts, I don't want Ash abducting while you're out." Ciel insisted.
"Oh, fine." Angeline huffed.
"There's a good girl. You may go."
Angeline left in search of something to do; Ciel finished his letter explaining to the queen how Angeline escaped Ash. He described Angie and her prison cell, and the effect the lullaby played on Angeline.
Angeline sighed. She was bored. She must have found every secret door and passageway in the manor, surely some even Ciel didn't know about.
"Having trouble entertaining yourself?" Sebastian asked from behind her, making her jump.
"A little." Angeline responded.
"Have you tried the library?"
Angeline whirled around. "There's a library?"
"Yes, let me show you." Sebastian replied.
He led Angeline down many corridors and corners until they reached the library. Angeline was surprised when she saw its contents. Each wall was its own bookshelf, packed full with as many books as one could think of. Some of the shelves were so overstocked there were stacks of books on the small tables scattered around the gigantic space. There was a skylight overhead in order to be able to see what you were reading, and a few sofas as well.
"Nobody can own so many books and read them all," Angeline said without thinking.
"Not Ciel, but I like to read them in my spare time." Sebastian replied.
Angeline looked at the butler suspiciously. What are you, Sebastian? She wondered yet again. He simply smirked and walked away.
Angeline shrugged and selected a book from the shelf, settled on a sofa and began reading.
"Sebastian, I want you to look after Angeline. Make sure she is safe. That's an order."
"Yes, Young Lord."
"He won't give up easily; I'd have no doubt if he came today even though we expect it."
"I'm almost certain of it; he doesn't plan ahead in his scheming." Sebastian replied.
