This one might be a bit short, it's the only one that wasn't pre-written because fun fact: Angeline originally wasn't supposed to run away upon finding out what Sebastian was but the entire thing was written two years ago (Don't kill me for being too lazy to type it up plz) and current me thought it would be an interesting twist.

The convenience of having nothing to do during the day while a psychotic angel after you was that one had a lot of free time. Angeline had spent most of this time exploring the manor until she found out about the library. This meant she knew every corner and staircase and every space where one could be safe between the study and her room.

Currently, she was in the space behind the fireplace in the lounge below the study. It was so huge it could be a master bedroom and it looked as if it had once belonged to a child. In the corner there was a small bed with a shelf of books next to it. There was a table in the middle with a lamp and enough matches and oil to last her for weeks and a small pile of books that didn't fit in the shelf. In another corner there was a large basket full of toys and a sofa along one wall. There was a closet in the back that she had checked once before, it had things to light the lamp and extra bedding in it.

Angeline was curled up on the sofa as she had been for the previous three hours. Her cheeks were stained from tears that had been brought upon fear and she was still trembling. Surely Sebastian must be out to hurt her, he was a demon. She almost couldn't believe it, but her gut told her to stay put, he's dangerous. For two hours the house staff had come back and forth by the fireplace in search for her, calling her name and turning over furniture. They had given up an hour ago, deciding that she must come out when she was through with being so childish.

When Angeline went missing Sebastian had reported to Ciel's study, explaining to the young earl what had happened. There was a heated argument between the two as Ciel became more hysterical, babbling on about how furious the queen would be that he had lost the girl, the one thing he was supposed to keep track of. Angeline was able to hear, as she was right below the study, as Ciel scolded Sebastian for losing her since he had been assigned to watch her until Ash could be beat.

Mey-Rin, Bard, and Finny had grumbled about their time being wasted by a childish girl playing hide and seek but Sebastian and Ciel knew better. Sebastian had insisted he could find Angeline and she feared it was true, but she'd just have to try her best to keep quiet.

The room was unbearably dusty and she sneezed as she decided to prepare to sleep, although she feared nightmares but she was too exhausted to care. She grabbed a sheet from the closet and used it to wipe up as much dust from the surfaces as she could before balling it up and throwing it in the basket of toys. She stripped from her heavy dress into her silk undergarments and peeled back the dusty duvet to reveal three perfectly clean, thin fleece blankets stacked on the bed. She threw the duvet with the soiled sheet and turned the pillowcases over so the dusty side was on the bottom and climbed into the bed, pulling the blankets up to her chin and closing her eyes. Though she was terrified and her mind was screaming at her for thinking of sleep at a time like this, she fell asleep within minutes anyway.

A small time after Angeline had fallen into slumber the fireplace creaked open to reveal a silhouette, black against the light, showing only a pair of glowing red eyes. Sebastian stayed in the doorway awhile, regarding Angeline's sleeping figure before stepping into the room and closing it behind him. He perched on the edge of the sofa, watching after Angeline silently through the night.

The next morning Angeline woke to a loud crash, her eyes flying open as she glanced up at the ceiling.

"Master, did you really need to break a vase?"

"Find her, Sebastian! Look everywhere, I know of a few of our secret rooms and you must know of more! Look there! Look anywhere!"

"Yes, young lord."

Dear lord, Angeline thought. He'd find her.

Immediately Angeline made the room look exactly like it had before she'd come and hid in the closet. She curled in the corner for two hours before she heard the fireplace open. She held her breath as footsteps sounded in the room and she heard shuffling as Sebastian looked for her. "Strange... there's no dust."

Damn,

Angeline swore her heart would beat out of her chest as the footsteps approached the closet before stoppinng then retreating back to the entrance. She sighed in relief as she heard it open, causing some dust to stir in the closet and she sneezed softly. Oh god, I hope he didn't hear that, oh god,

Angeline wasn't an idiot, she knew he'd heard. The creaking of the fireplace stopped abruptly and hurried footsteps once again sounded toward the closet. It opened and Angeline looked up at Sebastian, frightened beyond belief. A small sob broke from her mouth as she cowered and Sebastian looked down at her before closing his eyes and shaking his head.

He kneeled down next to her and she let out a frightened whimper, averting her gaze from him. He sighed. "If I wished to hurt you I would have done so by now." He said before exiting the room, closing the fireplace behind him.

Angeline sat there for a moment before coming to a resolve. She glanced at the table, which had a navy blue dress folded neatly on top of it. She quickly changed into it and braided her hair, pinning it up into a bun and walking up to the study. She entered without knocking and waltzed up to Ciel's desk. He looked up at her in surprise. "It's unfitting of a lady to enter a room without knocking." He said.

"If that demon butler of yours hurts me it'll be on your conscience." She said before sauntering out of the room. She headed toward the library and sat on one of the couches, opening a book and beginning to read.

After a few hours Sebastian came in. He knew that in order to easily look after her, she'd have to understand that he wasn't the enemy. "I didn't mean to frighten you. The only people I bring harm to are the ones after Ciel. Or you."

Angeline looked up from her book. "Me?"

"Yes. I'm under orders to protect you."

"Of course. I'm just an assignment."

"No, not at all, you're lovely-"

"You're a demon, you obviously only do something for personal gain. It's why you're working for Ciel , right? What do you even get from it?" Angeline asked. Silence. "Nevermind, I don't want to know." She continued, standing from her seat and walking out of the library.

It's true, demons didn't feel anything. They only did things to satisfy their needs, such as a soul to eat. But if he wasn't supposed to feel anything, why was he so disappointed as Angeline left the library?
