It's currently midnight my time so I'm a little bit tired but I hope you all enjoy the next installment of Audaciousness! Make sure to leave a review if you did, and follow/favourite so you don't miss another update ;)
As you can expect, Chris and Don were once again standing together, the two of them were looking more comfortable than usual as they waited for the production to finish doing whatever it is that they do before filming begins.
"That could have been worse." Don shrugged, "I hope Adrian isn't stuck in some tree or something." He let out a small chuckle, "That would be a legal nightmare."
"I'm sure he's fine." Chris shrugged as the director gave a signal that they would be starting imminently. "No matter what Marnie says, they can't afford a lawsuit of any kind. It's all safe really. Probably…"
"Reassuring." Don rolled his eyes as the camera started to roll. The two being the professionals that they are, quickly locked into position for their introduction.
"Welcome back everyone!" Chris started with a huge grin, "Last time on Total Drama, our contestants were sent into a cave system completely tied together."
"We asked them to scour the cave system in search of a treasure that would let them stay safe from elimination." Don continued with his own smile.
"It was a closely fought battle, it probably couldn't have even been closer." Chris took over again, "But in the end it was the Freezing Felines who took home the gold, or silver in this case, sending the Snowy Snakes right down to the elimination ceremony."
"The Snakes elimination looked to be set on Boris, but Miles worked his magic to keep who he felt was his biggest asset in his game, choosing to send Adrian home in first instead." Don informed the audience, but you should already know that.
"Coming up! Will Kahlin make use of his newfound knowledge of Miles?"
"Will Yves manage to keep control of her team for a second win?"
"Or will the Snakes manage to turn things around tonight?"
"Find out right now! On Total-!"
"Drama-!"
"Audacious Alpines!"
(Theme Song)
Dear Mom and Dad I'm doing fine.
The title sequence begins with Nick looking at himself in the mirror in the confessional, he is fixing his hair before the door opens, scaring him and causing him to jump and fall onto the toilet. In walks Ashe who looks horrified and quickly runs out with his head in his hands.
You guys are on my mind.
Luciana is in the living room, enjoying a quiet read by the fire when Alyssa comes running down the stairs with two snowboards that she found. She throws one to Luciana who catches it with a grin as the two run out of the cabin.
You asked me what I wanted to be.
We now see the two girls skateboarding down the mountain, wearing the appropriate safety gear of course, they board past Boris who has somehow managed to get himself stuck in a tree, he calls for help as they ignore him.
And now I think the answer is plain to see.
Kahlin and Yvette are enjoying dinner together, they are both chatting incessantly but it appears that neither is actually listening to the other, they're both in their own worlds. The camera pans to show Amelia rolling her eyes and looking exasperated at the both of them.
I wanna be famous
Chef is in the kitchen cooking up dinner for the campmates, Yves is behind him, watching what he does carefully, Chef wipes some sweat off his brow and continues cooking as he does.
I want to live close to the sun
Damien is trying to have a nap in his bed when Adrian bursts in and starts singing to himself, Damien takes the pillow and places it over his head, trying to drown out Adrian's noise.
So pack your bags cause I've already won
Aleena is filming something in the distance, she is taking it very seriously, a furrow in her brow when Miles appears in front of her camera. This causes her to jump and throw her camera behind her, she growls at Miles and pounces on him, throwing them both down the mountain.
Everything to prove nothing in my way-
As the two of them fight and roll down to the bottom of the mountain, they land in a heap in the end and are soon joined by Alyssa and Luciana who cheer as they reach the bottom of the mountain.
I'll get there one day-
Iris is sitting by an open fire, rubbing her hands together and warming them slightly. She is soon joined by all the other members who gather around the fire to keep warm. They're all wearing their jackets and start whistling together, showing more camaraderie than before.
Nananana Nananana
Chris and Don arrive with a tray of cocoa, all in their own little takeaway cups. They begin handing them out to the contestants.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
Marnie can be seen behind a camera glaring at Chris and Don, writing something down in her notebook.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
All of the campers, plus Chris and Don smile happily as Marnie snaps her pencil in annoyance nearby, watching the scene with disgust.
(End Theme Song)
(Girls' Bedroom)
In the bedroom was Yvette and Alyssa. The former was reading a book while the other seemed to be drawing something on the wall with a pencil she had found.
"Are you having fun there?" Yvette asked, glancing up from her book, "Not quite sure if production would like you drawing all over the set."
"Production can suck my dick." Alyssa said off-handedly, the drawing wasn't too bad either, from what could actually be made out it seemed to be a rather good rendition of a cat, laying down in the sun.
"I guess that kind of attitude can work." Yvette shrugged, "It's good though. Your art I mean, do you draw professionally?"
"Me? No, I just kind of started doing what I thought I should. I like cats so it just came naturally." Alyssa chuckled, she brushed off some pencil dust off the wall and smiled at the drawing. "It doesn't look that bad does it?"
"No. It wouldn't go into a gallery or anything but I suppose that it's okay." Yvette said honestly.
"Thanks…" Alyssa said with a slight grimace on her face, she turned away from Yvette and studied the drawing herself before nodding happily and putting the pencil away on her bedside table.
"Are you ready for the challenge today?" Yvette asked, not looking up from her book.
"How do you even know? We don't have a schedule." The tall girl replied, raising her eyebrow with curiosity.
"Well, I just gathered that we had yesterday off, so surely they need to carry on. We're only here for a few weeks, so they've got to keep it moving." Yvette noted, "Extra days on the schedule would just be superfluous to our needs."
"Oh… sure thing." Alyssa nodded as she got off from her bed and walked over to the door. "Well you have fun reading! And I'll see you at that challenge that we have!" She waved, walking out of the door.
"Yeah, see you soon." Yvette noted without looking up from her book, simply turning the page and continuing.
(Confessional)
YVETTE: I feel that Alyssa and I have now begun bonding as friends, we had a wonderful discussion on her art and we ended on a rather positive note if I do say so myself. It's good to be friendly with one's team so that they aren't inclined to vote you out once you lose.
ALYSSA: That Yvette is weird man, she spends a lot of time talking about things that no one else gets and she is just really blunt. I know that the drawing wasn't all that but at least gas me up so I feel good? Am I expecting too much from people sometimes? Nearly started an argument there and then let me tell you!
(The Living Room)
Nick is sat in the living room flicking through a book that he seemed to have found in the bookshelf placed on one of the walls. He didn't look all too interested in it but it was something to occupy him.
He wasn't alone for long however as soon another figure had joined him in the living room, she placed herself on the sofa opposite him with a warm mug of something in between her hands. It was Yves, her long hair was tied up and she had a slightly red face as if she had been running.
"Good read?" She asked the boy opposite her, he raised his eyes from the pages and gave her a shrug, turning it around to show that he'd only read the first twenty or so pages.
"I don't know why I expected this place to have a good library… it's all romance or awful mystery novels." Nick sighed, "But I also didn't expect us to have days off… I'm bored out of my mind already." He chuckled, letting out an easy smile as he did. Yves nodded in response, taking a sip of her drink.
"Indeed." She sighed, "Maybe they're waiting for us to go crazy and attack each other?"
"Well wouldn't that make some good TV." Nick laughed again, it was a heartier laugh, more real.
"Not for anyone involved." Yves smirked, "Although the game is still young, best not to rule anything out."
"Oh." Nick raised his eyebrows in jest, "Well remind me not to get into a fight with you, something tells me you wouldn't hold back."
"Well you'd just have to wait and see - depends how much good TV I feel like making." Yves crossed her legs on the sofa and took a large sip of her drink. "I'll save the fights for the challenges though, we still have to live together whether we like it or not, and I'd prefer not to bring negative energy in."
"A solid reason." Nick nodded before turning back to his book, "You won't win two challenges in a row though." He promised, running a hand through his hair.
"We'll just have to wait and see won't we?" Yves responded coolly, turning her eyes off of the boy and back to the drink as the two of them sat in just ever so slightly tense silence.
(Confessional)
YVES: Nick is an interesting guy, and by interesting I do of course mean that he feels smarmy - something about him just puts me off and I can't quite put my finger on it, maybe like he's analysing everything that I say or do? (Yves sits deep in thought for a while, pondering her own question.)
(The Cafeteria)
As it was still early in the morning, Chef was currently serving breakfast to whoever wanted it. Presently sat at a table were Kahlin and Boris, the former was quietly eating his food while the latter appeared to be rattling off a tirade against something or other.
"Is it really so difficult to request actual food while we're here?" The posh boy lamented, "I thought that man was a chef? Where did he receive his training? They should be thoroughly investigated for fraud!"
"Yeah sure." Kahlin agreed, eating his own food which didn't really look like any recognisable food. "It tastes alright if you just forget about the crunchy bits." Boris quickly gagged in response, shakily holding it in front of him.
"This is utterly abominable." He cried, throwing his spoon back onto the table, splattering a small amount on Kahlin, who simply blinked and wiped it from his face as the rich boy stomped off.
"Isn't he just delightful?" A voice appeared behind Kahlin, a hand wiped some more food off from his shoulder that he hadn't noticed. The voice belonged to Luciana, the girl sat opposite him, occupying the seat Boris had been at with her own bowl of 'breakfast'
"He is definitely something." Kahlin chuckled to himself, "I've learned that it's much easier just to let him get on with it." The calm boy explained, continuing to eat his own food.
"I know his type well." Luciana giggled, "Many of them have tried to court me." She used a hand to hide her mouth as she continued to laugh, "They're usually compensating for their own insecurities."
"Oh really?" Kahlin asked with a raised eyebrow, "I guess I could understand that one."
"He's harmless really, all bark and no bite as they say." Luciana informed, eating her own bite of her meal, her face contorted in disgust for a moment while she struggled to swallow it down. "Now that is one interesting texture."
Kahlin giggled in response, nodding in agreement, "Once you get past it though, it doesn't really taste like a lot - you get used to it."
"Well that's good." Luciana laughed again, eating another spoonful, "I don't think that will be today though!"
(Confessional)
BORIS: I can't believe I would end up here! With no food! No wifi! No nothing! What's the point in being rich if it doesn't get me advantages against everyone else?!
LUCIANA: That Kahlin has a smart mind, he seems relaxed but his eyes are always alert, watching you every move. I'm quite glad I'm not on his tribe if I'm honest, because I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him!
(Outside)
Dressed in their large coats and currently walking through the snow together were Aleena and Ashe. The former had wanted to take pictures and the latter had agreed to accompany her. Not that either of them were doing much talking, Aleena was too busy setting up her perfect shots to capture the landscape while Ashe was more than happy just to take in the views of nature around them.
All was calm until they both heard a loud scream coming from the mountain above them. Both of their heads quickly snapped up to see Miles rocketing down the mountain on a homemade sled, Alyssa's head was just behind his, sitting behind him with her arms up in the air.
"OH THIS IS SO FREAKING AWESOME!" Alyssa cried as her hair flew behind her in the wind.
"THIS IS WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT!" Miles echoed, a huge grin plastered onto his face as the two shot down the mountain at an alarming pace.
"Quick take a picture." Ashe giggled to Aleena as the girl quickly set her camera into position, focusing on the two of them clicking a few times.
"Done and done." She smiled, "Nice for scrapbooking, don't you think?"
"As long as you send me a copy when they're printed." The shy boy smiled as the two reached the bottom of the mountain, now flying over the flat ground before stopping at the feet of the others.
"That was such a rush." Alyssa sighed as she flopped down onto the ground, panting slightly as she regained her breath.
"Let's go again!" Miles cried as he looked at the two people he had just stopped in front of. "Fancy a ride?" He asked with a grin, "We got another sled up at the top!"
"Oh I'm not sure…" Ashe mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I think it would create some wonderful action shots." Aleena nodded, "I'm in!" She helped Alyssa up off the ground, waiting for her to in turn pick up the sled and begin the trek up the mountain.
"Hell yeah!" Alyssa cheered, pumping the air with her fist in excitement.
"Cmon dude, it'll be fun." Miles laughed, giving Ashe a pat on the shoulder as he stood up.
"Alright then... I guess it could be fun." Ashe admitted, shuffling slightly on his heels as Miles picked up the board and gave him a light push from behind. Ashe stumbled slightly before picking up the pace, Miles close behind, ready for another run down the mountain.
(Confessional)
ASHE: I'm not normally one to do these dangerous things but that was such a rush! I don't think I breathed during the whole ride down!
ALEENA: A successful mission indeed, I got some cracking bits to add to my project, and I had a good time too. Who would have thought that rocketing past trees at such speed would be such an exhilarating process.
MILES: Isn't Ashe just adorable? He's just so shy and small… and that means what guys? You already know it, it means that he's pretty easily manipulated, probably hasn't had many friends so he's just happy that people talk to him. Not that it's a chore to talk to him, he's actually alright once you get past the whole nervous wreck thing.
(The Cabin Porch)
All thirteen remaining contestants were standing outside of the porch, now in their outerwear gear while Don and Chris stood in the snow in front of them.
"Hey guys!" Chris smiled at the contestants, it was meant with lukewarm responses of hellos and heys but it didn't deter the man. "I hope that you're all ready for the next challenge because this one is gonna be really fun! And I mean that literally!"
"We've not even set any life-threatening traps in this one." Don smiled as some contestants breathed sighs of relief at the news. "This challenge is going to once again test your teamwork, but also your creativity and craftsmanship!"
"Now this should be invigorating not only for the body but for the brain as well!" Yvette cheered,
"And don't worry, your building material is all around you too!" Chris announced, "Because today, you're going to be building snow forts!"
"Oh that's cool." Damien nodded to himself, not speaking to anyone in particular.
"That's right! You'll have the next six hours to build the best snow fort as a team!" Don noted with a smile. "We've sectioned off to spots over there for you both." He pointed over his shoulder where there were indeed two squares, cordoned off with poles and rope, one in pink and one in blue for the boys and girls respectively.
"Without further ado… let's get started shall we? Your time starts now!" Chris shouted as both teams immediately began to run to their own sections and get started.
(The Boys' Fort)
"Right guys!" Nick immediately announced as his team arrived at their designated section. "We've got to step our game up because we're one set of hands down. And I'd rather not go two down."
"Absolutely." Kahlin nodded, taking in stock of the area they had to work with. It was fairly large, allowing for a pretty big structure to be built. He nodded happily as Nick began looking over his team.
"Don't suppose anyone is an architect?" Nick asked with a small raise of his eyebrow and a tug on the corner of his lips. He was indeed met with a rather large silence and awkward looks between everyone on his team. "I should have expected as much." Nick sighed. He looked at the space and then his team before nodding to himself. "We're wasting time by just standing here, if we at least make sure that we have a structure to work off of, we can go about making it look better later on down the line."
"Sounds like a good plan O' Leader!" Miles shouted in agreement as he began to pick up large piles of snow and throw them into the middle of the area. Ashe and Damien crouched down in said middle and began to form a large square that would act as the walls of their fort.
"You guys are doing wonderfully! Carry on just like this!" Boris smiled, clapping for his team. His smile was quickly changed as a snowball, thrown by Miles quickly ended up splatting directly onto his face. The boy spluttered and wiped the snow from his face with a look of indignation.
"Let's get to work, His Highness. Help those two." The thrower directed, inclining his head towards the two in the middle. Boris made some noises of disgust but quickly ended up sitting on the floor at one side of the new foundation, using the snow to form a barrier.
"Um… thanks Boris." Ashe noted, surprised that the boy was actively taking part in the challenge.
"Well, it wouldn't do well for my name if we lost two challenges in a row would it." Boris noted, pouting his lip out slightly as he sulked inwardly.
"No, it probably wouldn't." Damien agreed from his spot on the other side of this large square, building his own part of the foundation, which had now reached the middle of his calf.
"Nice work guys!" Nick cheered as he brought more snow with Kahlin to use to build.
"We've got this challenge in the bag." Kahlin nodded, dropping his own pile of snow before moving to collect more.
(Confessional)
MILES: Normally I would be pretty against letting someone like Nick take over the team, but I reckon just letting him run himself into the ground and then swooping in to send him home when he makes a mistake is a much more efficient way to spend my time. And when he does, oh I'll be waiting.
KAHLIN: It's not all that surprising that Miles has some level of control over Boris, after all, he was able to convince him to vote with him last vote. I'm still not entirely sure what Miles has over him, but once I find out, I'm sure that I can save him.
DAMIEN: I'm not very good at all of this physical stuff, or all this talking stuff, so I'm still slightly shocked that I wasn't the first person voted off the other day… but every day that we're here is a new day so I have to take it by the horns and make the most of it!
(The Girls' Fort)
"Hell yeah! Let's get started!" Alyssa cried as she quickly sprinted off to collect snow, much like the boys had done before.
"Alyssa! We need a plan!" Yvette cried, calling after the girl who was already too far away to hear, having gone to where she said the snow had been the freshest.
"Just let her get on with it, We can do the plan while she works." Yves shrugged, not looking to cause a fight this early into the challenge. The girl looked over the area, much like Nick, before turning to the rest of her team, obviously sans Alyssa. "Any ideas?"
"Well I would theorise that Chris and Don would attempt to damage our structure." Yvette noted, folding her arms as she thought, "That way they could present a clear loser to the audience and remove the likelihood of fans claiming the judging was biased thus removing potential backlash."
"So you want us to build it strong?" Luciana summarised for the girl, raising her eyebrow at her slightly.
"Yes that is what I was implying." Yvette sighed as Luciana nodded along with the other girls.
"We've only got six hours so we definitely shouldn't dally." Iris smiled at everyone, beginning to form the snow into a line, much like the boys in order to form a stable base. Aleena quickly crouched down to help, helping Iris build the line in the other direction.
"We should make some decorations to make it look prettier from the outside don't you think?" The photographer queried, continuing her work as she spoke.
"Don't be preposterous." Yvette scoffed, "We don't have time to decorate when we need to focus on making sure our fort is the last one left standing."
"We don't even know if that's true Yvette." Amelia commented, building at a right angle to Aleena so that they could form the corners of their fort. "Chris and Don didn't actually specify what the criteria were, just that the best one, and that could potentially be the prettiest."
"But have you guys watched the show?" Luciana laughed, "I think it's a good assumption that they would try and humiliate us by smashing up the creations, don't you think?" She was carrying a large pile of snow which had been given to her by Alyssa, who was still further out collecting more.
"I think it's a reasonable plan." Yves agreed, also carrying her own pile of snow. "We don't have a lot of time to worry about things like that, let's just charge down this path, and if we fall, then I'll take responsibility myself."
"Yeah… alright…" Aleena sighed, working at a slightly slower pace than she was before while the others worked around her. Yvette stood around, seemingly planning the rest of the fort.
(Confessional)
ALYSSA: I'm just not very good at waiting around for direction, I want to get on with it! It's not like I was going to be much help doing all of this designing work anyway.
IRIS: I think there is a little bit of tension between some people on the team… I just hope it doesn't impact us negatively in the challenge because I really don't want to have to vote anybody out.
(The Forest)
Nick and Kahlin were currently walking through the forest together, both carrying large balls of snow that they had rolled on the way. There was a comfortable silence between the two of them as they focused entirely on the work that needed to be done. It was Kahlin that broke the silence, the shorter boy turned to Nick with a lazy gaze.
"Strange vote the other day huh?" He asked, almost uncaringly, like it was as mundane as talking about the weather.
"Yeah, pretty big shock." Nick agreed with a nod, sucking air in through his teeth. The taller boy turned to face Kahlin in turn and studied him briefly with his azure eyes.
"Sounds like Boris might be smarter than he lets on huh?" Kahlin noted, "Perhaps this whole rich boy act is just a ploy to keep us off guard." He let a small chuckle escape his lips as he looked at Nick. "Just a joke of course, I don't think even the most successful actors could pull off being that entitled.
"Yeah you might be right with that one." Nick agreed with his own chuckle, "It's all water under the bridge though and we have to just keep working together to make sure that we don't get left at the wayside. I'd hate for us all to lose every challenge and keep going home, wouldn't you?"
"More than anything." Kahlin nodded, "You can't give up when you've got something worth fighting for."
"Couldn't have said it better myself." Nick laughed, before setting his eyes back on Kahlin properly, looking him in the eyes. "I think we should maybe work on making this little friendship official, what dya think?"
"Yeah, we could do that." Kahlin nodded as the two of them began approaching the fort area. It was clear that a lot of work had been put into it already in a short space of time, the snow had now formed a nice neat square and all the walls were about knee height. Miles had stopped collecting snow and had now moved on to help build the walls even higher. "We could definitely do that."
"Looking good!" Nick complimented the others as he dropped his snowball on the outside of the wall. "We thought we could make these as little decorations, to make the fort feel more personal."
"That sounds good!" Damien agreed, crouched down rather uncomfortably as he helped to build up the wall. Ashe was next to him as the two of them worked together.
"My side is simply immaculate as only I could do." Boris announced from the other side, building up his own wall, he had actually done a surprising amount of work and it looked all together rather neat.
"We've got this in the bag!" Miles cheered as the other two boys quickly joined in helping to build the foundations as quickly as possible in order get it done as quickly as possible.
(Confessional)
NICK: Kahlin is definitely an interesting fella, we clearly shame similar ideas so it makes sense for us to work together. And hopefully then we won't get so blindsided like the last elimination, I'd rather not have that happen again.
BORIS: Of course I would be doing the best at building, do you really think that someone carrying the Bennington name would be so useless? Just because I don't do the work doesn't mean I can't, it's simply a matter of delegation, anyone with some business acumen would be able to do that.
(The Girls' Fort)
"That's half of your time guys! Just three hours left!" Don announced for the campers as the camera focused on the girls. They had made a good amount of progress too, with the large wall now up to about chest height on the six foot tall Alyssa. They were also in the process of creating an archway to act as a pretend door for access to the inside.
"Let's keep going guys! We're right on schedule." Yvette announced happily as some other members of the tribe gave her a little side eye.
"Is she actually going to do anything." Amelia grumbled to herself next to Aleena who shrugged.
"Sure isn't looking like it." The filmmaker sighed as she worked on continuing to build the wall even higher, she was starting to have to reach up to get it even taller which was a slight struggle.
"I just hate how she seems to think she's smarter than everyone, I mean she really just aired you right out when you made a suggestion huh?" Amelia noted with a scowl, "Doesn't seem like a very fair system."
"Yeah… I guess you're right." Aleena nodded, reaching nearly above her head now. "I don't want to cause too much of a fuss though, sounds like a lot of trouble."
"So you're just going to let her walk all over you?" Amelia asked, "She could target you Aleena."
"I mean, you're right, but we haven't even lost the challenge yet." Aleena reminded her with another shrug, "I don't want to get too ahead of myself."
"Fine. Suit yourself." Amelia followed with her own shrug, cutting off the conversation as Yvette walked behind them, nodding approvingly at their work, earning her an unseen eye roll from Amelia.
(Confessional)
ALEENA: I know that it looks like I'm not trying, I just don't believe that overextending yourself is the way to go, Amelia is just trying to cause drama where there isn't any to be caused. Is Yvette annoying? Yes but I don't think she's doing it out of spite.
AMELIA: It's not my fault if Aleena gets sent home now, I want that to be aired. I really tried to warn her that Yvette would be coming for her, and if she doesn't want to take the hint then that's not my fault.
(The Girls' Fort - The other side)
Just a few metres away stood Luciana and Alyssa, the two taller girls were still quite comfortably stacking snow along their wall. The two were laughing rather loudly as they worked, coupled with various shouts of unintelligible words.
"And so then I punched him in the face and told him that he could fuck right off!" Alyssa exclaimed, laughing even before she had finished her sentence, her cheeks now red and her eyes slightly misty from the laughter.
"Hell yeah!" Luciana echoed with her own laughter, "Now that's a woman after my own heart. I swear men really are just pigs at times."
"You said it sister! When they said that we were in male and female teams, I think I nearly cried from sheer excitement. And we really showed them in that first challenge." Came the tallest girl's response. She wiped the tears that had been forming in her eyes and quickly set about continuing to build the wall.
"You and me both! Like I had the pleasure of watching that Boris guy this morning - gives the rich a bad name let me tell you. So entitled and full of his own self-importance." The girl scoffed and rolled her eyes at the memory.
"Yeah you're nothing like that at all, if you didn't talk all fancy I don't even think I would know that you were all posh." Alyssa noted with a nod, "That's a good thing by the way! Makes you feel more real."
"Yeah I get that." Luciana nodded, "Money gives you status but it doesn't give you the right to use it without having earned the right."
"Deep." Alyssa nodded, getting close to building her part of the wall as tall as her. "You missed a bit." She said, pointing at some random part of the wall.
"What? No I hav-!" Luciana was quickly cut off as snow was slapped onto her face by a now cackling Alyssa.
"Yeah you have! Right there!" She continued to laugh as Luciana wiped snow from her eyes, a huge grin forming on her face as she threw her own snow at Alyssa. The two started laughing loudly once again as they had their own snow fight.
(Confessional)
ALYSSA: That girl's alright. Nowhere near as stuck up near as stuck up as you would expect her to be, and I like that. We've all gotta stick together to get through this so to have someone who you can do that with is just, awesome!
(The Boys' Fort)
About an hour later and the boys had pretty much created an entire structure, the walls were all as tall as Damien at nearly six and half feet tall, meaning that now him and Nick were doing a lot of the work due to their larger heights. The others were all putting in their own work apart from Ashe who had now become too short to reach the tops of the walls. He looked rather awkward as he tried to find something to do.
"Don't worry dude, you can get on my shoulders." Kahlin smiled as he crouched down slightly next to the smaller boy.
"Oh really it's not necessary, I'd be far too heavy anyway." Ashe protested, shaking his arms and head in refusal as Kahlin simply stayed crouching down.
"Come on, it's no big deal, you won't weigh a thing." Kahlin insisted, urging Ashe to climb on. "Besides, we want the walls to be taller than Damien, and it's getting harder for me to reach so you're just helping the team." The boy gave Ashe a warm smile and he finally relented, getting behind Kahlin and placing one of his legs over his shoulder. The taller boy held Ashe's ankle to stablise him once he had sat on his shoulders and stood back up, taking the boy with him. He was now at the same height as Damien and the two shared a look and a nod as Ashe built the wall even higher.
"So is this what being tall is like?" Ashe asked Damien who couldn't help but laugh at the question, he took a moment to think about it before settling on a noncommittal shrug.
"I guess so. I don't know any different really. I've always been kinda tall."
"Oh… that's nice." Ashe nodded as he looked down at Kahlin. "I'm really sorry could you just move a bit to the right?" He asked his steed who gave him a thumbs up and began shuffling in the requested direction, once again holding onto Ashe's ankles to make sure that the boy didn't fall off. What he didn't account for however was the small pile of snow by his feet which he failed to notice before walking. This resulted in him tripping over and falling, with Ashe on his shoulders!
The two toppled down, and like the start of any cringy romcom, Ashe landed right smack on top of Kahlin, the two were dazed for a moment before Ashe quickly came to his senses and quickly got off of the other boy, a heavy blush on his face.
"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry! Are you alright!" He babbled as the other boy rubbed his head and groaned slightly. He sat up and looked at Ashe with a little smirk on his face.
"Yeah I'm totally fine dude, it was my own fault for being an idiot." He laughed at himself as Ashe chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. His face quickly changed to one of shock however when he quickly offered his hand to Kahlin, to help lift him up.
"And I didn't even offer to help you up, that's so rude of me!" He worried again as Kahlin took his hand and lifted himself up.
"Like I said, I'm totally fine, it's not a big deal, and it'll definitely be funny to watch back won't it!" Kahlin laughed again, rubbing the back of his head.
(Confessional)
DAMIEN: I do hope Kahlin's okay, but you have to admit, that was really funny! That's some replay in slow motion kind of thing! (In a TV Show, that would indeed happen, but it's not, so instead, if you really want to, just imagine the exact same thing again, but playing at half speed.)
KAHLIN: Ashe is a nice guy, he's unsure of himself but that just takes time to get over, you have to get out of your head first. (He thinks for a minute, tapping his chin for a moment.) Who knows who that might be…
(The Girls' Fort)
Once again with the girls, the fort had now taken a complete shape, the four walls were now a couple inches higher than even Alyssa, hiding all of them from view.
"We have indeed successfully fulfilled the purpose of a fortification." Yvette nodded happily, patting the walls happily.
"We did good today ladies, and I reckon we still have a little bit of time to make the place look pretty, don't you all think?" Yves smiled at her team, looking between them all.
"You've got half an hour left campers!" Chris' voice echoed through a megaphone.
"But only if we're really quick!" Iris cried as she quickly began sculpting in the walls to create a window like effect on the outside.
The others quickly joined in, creating designs across the walls of their fort such as windows, a brick style layout and flowers blooming up the walls. They worked quickly and the outside of the walls were very quickly decorated. All of the girls flopped happily in front of the fort as Chris blew an air horn into his microphone signaling the end of the challenge.
"That's it guys!" Don announced as the two hosts walked towards the girls' fort. "Let's get to judging shall we Chris?"
"Let's go Don." Chris smiles looking the girls' fort up and down. "It's definitely stable." The host noted as he gave it a knock with his foot, of course the whole thing held it's shape.
"As can only be expected." Yvette nodded happily as Don looked over the walls.
"I really like that you guys have tried to give it a more homely feel with the outside, makes a fort feel like you could actually live there." He added happily, which made Aleena crack a rather large smile.
"Of course though, while this is indeed a serviceable fort, you have to look at what it is that you're up against." Chris sighed, "And it's not looking good for you ladies."
For the first time, the girls spared a glance towards the boys' fort, their jaws immediately dropped to the floor as they saw what seemed to be a miniature castle, complete with palisades and towers and even a dragon guarding the keep.
"Now that's a fort!" Don exclaimed happily, walking up to it and admiring the whole thing in awe.
"Turns out that Boris can actually be quite a little worker when he puts his mind to it." Nick smirked as the posh boy scowled, refusing to look anyone in the eye and instead choosing to fix his eyes firmly on the ground below him.
"I did it for myself, not because any of you peasants wanted me to." He grumbled as the taller boy wrapped his arm around his shoulder giving him a playful squeeze.
"Well it doesn't matter either way! Yours won't survive the next part anyway!" Yvette answered, annoyed that the other team seemed to be impressing the hosts much more than herself.
"Wait? There's a next part?!" Ashe cried, looking immediately worried,
"Of course." Yvette smiled, "Now is the part where Chris and Don try and knock our forts down, and yours looks much weaker than ours." She folded her arms as the boys now looked to start to sweat, it was true, they definitely prioritised style over substance here.
"We weren't told about that!" Miles cried in indignation, looking to the hosts, "That's an unfair advantage!"
"We weren't told either sweetie, it was just an assumption based on our host's more destructive tendencies." Luciana rolled her eyes at him, "You boys get so hurt when you've been outplayed."
"Well I would agree with you Luciana." Don said with a smirk, "But in this case, the winner of the challenge is the Snowy Snakes! The boys team!"
"Oh great." Aleena grumbled as the boys immediately started celebrating, hugs and high fives were shared all around as the girls watched on with envy.
"That means that girls, we'll be seeing you tonight at the elimination ceremony, make sure that you're ready, it could get messy!" Chris laughed as he and Don walked off. The contestants soon dragged themselves back to the cabin as well, one side being in much higher spirits than the other.
(Production Tent)
Chris and Don had arrived back at the production tent where they were once again greeted by their producer Marnie, her eyes alight with joy as she watched back the footage they had captured from the challenge.
"Good work boys!" She purred, sucking on a lollipop. "The girls looked crushed when you announced it to the boys. I'm thinking we leave the boys' fort a surprise to the viewers too, we could use it to really drive home how crushed they were."
"Do whatever you want." Don rolled his eyes, "It's your show, we're just here to get paid."
"Well I'm sorry for trying to involve you in the creative process, most hosts would kill to be producers of their own shows." Marnie scowled, turning back to the screens. "It was a really good call to ditch the wrecking ball too, I don't think we could have afforded the rental anyway, budget cuts and all that."
"You probably spent it all blowing up a cave system anyway." Chris retorted, the tension between the three was clear.
"Watch your mouth." Marnie growled, pointing her lollipop at Chris with fire in her eyes, "I don't want to replace you McLean, but if you can't keep yourself in check, I might have no choice… and I hear getting a job as an ex-con is ever so awfully hard." This quickly shut both hosts up as Marnie smirked to herself victoriously, "Ceremony starts filming at 10PM, don't be late." She informed them as they both walked off to their own trailers.
(Confessional)
YVES: Our first failure as a team… I can't help but feel like it's all my fault, now I have to knowingly send one of these girls, one of my teammates home. This game really is awfully cruel like that isn't it?
BORIS: I guess the team really owes their win to me today. I took inspiration from some of my favourite games and voila! Maybe I should take up sculpting as a hobby.
(The Girls' Room)
Yves, Yvette, Alyssa and Luciana were all currently getting changed after the challenge into more comfortable clothes. The tension in the air was palpable as everyone had the thought of tonight's vote on their mind.
"So…" Yves started, once again taking a slightly more proactive lead in the conversation.
"So…" Alyssa echoed, scratching the back of her head uncomfortably,
"This isn't easy is it?" Luciana chuckled, more again out of discomfort than actually being funny.
"It could be easy if we made it easy." Yvette noted with a shrug, "There's four of us here, we would have the majority and easily be able to send someone home, whoever we wanted."
"And who would you want to vote off?" Yves asked with a raised eyebrow, interested in where the conversation was going.
"Aleena." Yvette stated matter of factly, "She doesn't feel truly committed to the game, and I don't think she's helping the team all that much."
"But she actually figured out how to win the challenge." Alyssa's face scrunched up as she looked at Yvette.
"Anyone can throw an idea about drawing pretty pictures onto their fort." Yvette scoffed, "We were never going to beat the boys anyway with a fort like theirs."
"Baby, it's just the way of the game." Luciana put a hand on Alyssa's shoulder, attempting to comfort her. The girl placed her own hand over Luciana's and smiled gratefully at her. "We've got to vote someone out, and keeping ourselves strong in the challenges is really important so that we don't keep having to vote people out."
"I know you're right, it just sucks." Alyssa sighed, "I'm gonna go take a shower." She informed as she walked out of the room, leaving the other girls in the room.
"You think she's game?" Yves asked, "I'd rather not be blindsided because someone is overly emotional."
"She'll come around." Luciana nodded, "I'm almost certain."
"A likelihood above zero can still happen." Yvette grumbled, also leaving the room, followed closely by the others. The first 'alliance' for the vote had been formed.
(Confessional)
YVETTE: I don't for a second believe that I'm in danger, but it's very clear that Alyssa is a loose cannon, it wouldn't surprise me at all if she jumped ship and attempted to send someone else home, against the wishes of the majority. Maybe we should be focusing on team unity over challenge strength in that regard.
ALYSSA: It just doesn't sit all that right with me! We're sending a girl home for what? Can you really call her the weakest when we've had a total of two challenges and she could have won us one of them if she had been listened to? It's all such bull!
(The Kitchen)
Chef was not yet serving dinner but Amelia found herself in the kitchen, itching for something to eat. She had just gone about raiding through the pantry when she heard someone enter the room behind her. It was Iris, the girl waved at the actress before turning to look at the fridge.
"You alright?" Amelia asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh yes." Iris nodded in confirmation, "I'm just seeing what Chef's dinner to do list is. Apparently he would need to chop up some carrots for it. I can manage that." She quickly found the carrots and set about peeling and cutting them up and placing them into water for Chef when he started cooking.
"You mean Chef's food actually contains real ingredients? I always assumed he cooked it up in some lab." Amelia laughed, eating a chocolate bar that she had obviously found.
"Well yes… I'm not quite sure what he does with it to make it so unrecognisable…" Iris pondered for a second before laughing, "Either way, I like to help him out where I can, it's really hard to cook for a lot of people, especially when they're whiny."
"I wouldn't know, I normally have someone cook for me." Amelia admitted with a shrug.
"It must be nice." Iris noted with a smile, clearly not trying to be malicious or bitter about it.
"Eh, some days you just want to eat a fat pizza instead of herb-encrusted salmon on a bed of crushed potatoes or something dumb." She noted as she took another bite of the chocolate bar.
"I understand." Iris nodded, continuing to chop the carrots with efficiency into little cubes. "I know this is a lot, but have you had any thoughts on this vote thing? I just don't know who I would even start to send home, I like everyone here."
"I haven't really thought all that hard." Amelia shrugged, chucking the chocolate wrapper in the bin. "As long as it's not me, then what's the problem."
"I guess you're right…" Iris sighed, "I don't even know what I was expecting, everyone knows how this game is played by now."
"They probably do yeah." Amelia agreed, "I guess we should focus on making sure that the team can keep winning challenges, because I do not want to have to do this again."
"You make a very good point." Iris nodded, placing the last of the carrots into a bowl which she then set aside. "I suppose only time will tell what happens."
"Isn't that the truth." Amelia noted as she walked out of the kitchen, "I'll see you at the ceremony."
(Confessional)
AMELIA: Iris is good, way too kind for her own good, but she's good, I don't think she's one to put my name down so she's not someone I'm worried about.
IRIS: I just like to do nice things for Chef because I know myself just how hard it is to look after so many people all at once. I've got four other siblings and I normally end up cooking for them, so I know that Chef needs all the help he can get!
(The Living Room)
Kahlin and Ashe were currently sat on a sofa together in silence, the smaller boy was reading a book, lazily flicking through the pages as he did while Kahlin just sat staring at the ceiling, an ice pack on the back of his to help with the slight bruising he had received from their earlier tumble.
"I'm really sorry for today again…" Ashe mumbled, not looking up from his book as he spoke, an embarrassed blush forming on his cheeks quickly.
"It's really no big deal." Kahlin reassured the boy once again, "I've already told you that."
"Yeah… yeah you're right… sorry…" Ashe mumbled again, his blush only deepening further.
"There's no need to apologise either, I wasn't looking where I was going." Kahlin sighed, "I'm just happy that you weren't hurt."
"Oh… yeah I'm fine." Ashe confirmed, "Good this we won the challenge too, elimination would have been way too stressful for me right now."
"You and me both." Kahlin chuckled, "The other day was interesting to say the least."
"You can say that again." Ashe laughed, turning a page in his book once again. The two soon slipped into another silence, Kahlin happily staring nothing while Ashe continued to read his book.
(Confessional)
ASHE: Kahlin is probably really mad at me that I fell on him. He says that he's fine but he's just saying that to make me feel better… right? I hope he doesn't hate me though… he's kinda cute.
(The Bathroom)
Aleena was just washing her face when a knock came at the door, she turned to see Alyssa who was leaning in the door frame. She gave the filmmaker a smile and a little wave which was reciprocated.
"Hey girl." Alyssa smiled at Aleena, stopping in front of her own sink to wash her face. "How're you feeling?"
"I've been better." Aleena answered honestly, "I have a feeling votes are gonna be coming my way."
"Yeah… about that." Alyssa smiled awkwardly rubbing the back of her neck, "I may have heard that… from… someone."
"Well from who?" Aleena asked, her usually rather disinterested eyes now firmly placed on Alyssa.
"I… well I don't really want to say…" She grimaced, "ButitwasYvetteshesaidthatyouweren'tthatstronginchallengesandshewantstogetyououtbutIdon'twanttodothatwhichiswhyI'mtellingyouthis." She rambled off really quickly, obviously having been holding in this information for quite some time.
"I'm really sorry but you could say that again but slower, I literally don't know what you just said."
"Oh, my bad. It was Yvette, she said that you weren't that strong in challenges and she wants to get you out, but I don't want to do that which is why I'm telling you this." Alyssa smiled at Aleena as she repeated herself.
"Oh, I would say that's shocking but I kind of saw it coming." Aleena sighed.
"Well, what are we going to do about it?" Alyssa asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh… you want to save me?" Aleena asked, slightly shocked, "Why?"
"Well… I just don't think it's fair that someone just gets to decide your fate like that." Alyssa shrugged, "And Yvette really did just do that."
"That's really nice." Aleena smiled, "If you're willing to help then I'd love to do something… we could even flip the vote onto Yvette, Amelia would vote with us… we'd only need one more."
"Then let's get to work on doing that." Alyssa smiled as she dried her face and walked out of the bathroom.
(Confessional)
ALEENA: I wish I could say that I was surprised about Yvette targeting me, but ever since Amelia mentioned it, it's been playing in my mind all the time… what was a surprise was Amelia coming to help me, I'd almost signed myself to my fate.
AMELIA: I might not seem it but I really can't stand it when people don't get a fair chance! Yvette has taken things too far and I'm not okay with it!
(The Cafeteria)
Yves was currently sat in the cafeteria when Iris walked in, the girl immediately joined her teammate, who was enjoying a glass of water and an apple.
"Hey Yves, you doing okay?" Iris asked the designated leader, drawing something random on the table with her finger.
"Yeah… I'm doing alright." Yves said with a sigh, taking another bite of her apple, "I'm nervous about tonight if I'm honest. I think it's going to be pretty divided."
"You think?" Iris asked with a raised eyebrow, "I was just going to vote on who I thought was dragging the team back the most."
"Well that's the problem, everyone has different ideas on who is the worst." Yves explained, taking another bite as she did, "Who would you vote as the worst then?"
"Well that's my problem, I don't actually know so I haven't really decided…" Iris admitted with a sheepish grin, "It's not you though so don't worry about that."
"I wasn't." Yves shrugged as she took a final bite of the apple and chucked it into a nearby bin from her seat. "Yvette wanted to vote out Aleena." The dancer explained afterwards offhandedly.
"Mmm." Iris made a noise as she thought about it, "It makes sense I suppose." She conceded, "And what do you think about it?" She asked, tapping her nail on the table absently.
"I haven't made my mind up." Yves admitted, "I want to help Yvette because I trust her, but I also have to wonder if her logic is actually flawed and driven by a personal vendetta."
"That's a big dilemma isn't it?" Iris said standing up from the table, "I'll leave you to mull it over while I do the same huh?" She gave Yves a warm smile as she left the dancer to her own thoughts once again.
(Confessional)
IRIS: I wasn't so sure that I expected Yves to be so unsure of herself, she always seems to know exactly what she wants and how she is going to get it… it's nice to know that my name wasn't thrown out though, and it means that I can make informed decisions about this vote that I wasn't able to do before.
YVES: I want to help my friends, I really do! But I also have to think about my team! They're all really important to me already, and even if Yvette has placed a lot of trust in me as a person, I'm not sure if I completely agree with the way that her head is going… this game is going to haunt me forever, I can just tell.
(The Elimination Ceremony)
Don and Chris were once again stood on one side of a raging fire, with the seven girls seated on logs opposite, nervously awaiting their fate. The weird Chris and Don hugging snow globes sat on a tray, six of them to be precise, one for every person safe.
"Welcome ladies." Chris started with a sombre tone, "Bad performance from you guys today, which is of course why you're here." He immediately chuckled at the end of his sentence, betraying the insincerity of his sadness.
"Yes well there's no need to rub it in." Luciana scowled, crossing her arms at the hosts who continued on unperturbed.
"As you can see we only have six snow globes here for seven of you." Don noted, explaining the obvious as reality TV often does. "One of you will be leaving the game tonight, but on the bright side, at least you won't be the first person voted out!" He tried obviously to lighten the mood but to no avail.
"Jeez, tough crowd." Chris lamented as he looked at the girls, "Well, I would ask you questions but something tells me that you girls won't be all that talkative tonight, so let's just get straight onto the voting shall we? Amelia, you're up first."
The actress stood up and made her way into the voting booth a few metres away while the other girls watched her nervously.
(Voting Confessional)
YVETTE: As much as I would like to vote out Alyssa, I can't deny that her superior musculature makes her much more of an asset to us within the competition, Aleena is far weaker and nothing but a drain upon our resources.
ALYSSA: Yvette has to go man, she's way more cocky than she thinks she is and it's driving me up the damn wall!
(Back at the ceremony)
Once the last person, this time being Iris returned to their seat, the two hosts clapped their hands and called for the attention of the campers.
"An interesting vote indeed." Chris chuckled, causing the girls to all send awkward glances between each other, trying to work out where the votes would be falling. "If we call out your name, you'll get a snow globe, if you don't get a snow globe, then you're out! And you're going to have to take our all new ski of shame!"
"The first snow globe of the night goes to…. Luciaina." Don announced, throwing a snow globe to the heiress who caught it with ease.
"Yves, you're safe." Chris said next, throwing a snow globe to Yves who caught it with less grace than Luciana but still with no trouble.
"Iris, no votes for you." The red haired girl let out a large sigh of relief as she caught her snow globe, thrown to her by Don.
"Now the four of you." Chris explained, alluding to Amelia, Yvette, Alyssa and Aleena, "All received votes tonight." The four of them all immediately tensed up, Aleena gritted her teeth while Amelia looked quickly between everyone else to try and work out who had voted for her.
"Amelia, with one vote, you're safe tonight." Don said finally, after letting the girls sit and wonder for a moment. The actress caught the snow globe gratefully and let out a breath that she didn't even know she was holding.
"Alyssa, you're also safe with just one vote." Chris announced, throwing the globe to the tallest member of the girls' team. She looked relieved, clutching her chest tightly, Luciana placed a hand on her shoulder to help her relax.
"Yvette and Aleena…" Don began slowly, building the tension even higher as he did, "The two of you received the most votes tonight, and one of you is going home."
"The person who received the most votes tonight, will not receive a snow globe and will perform the ski of shame is…" Chris continued…

"Yvette! I'm sorry but this is the end of the road for you today." The smart girl looked rather shocked, her jaw open slightly as she processed what had happened. Aleena caught the snow globe that was thrown to her and sighed the largest sigh of the night, letting her entire body relax.
Yvette stood up and looked at her now former teammates with a disappointed but accepting look in her eye.
"Well girls, I must say that without a single shadow of a doubt I have thoroughly enjoyed the short amount of time that we have spent together as a unit. I wish you all the best of luck in the upcoming competition, I will be cheering for you all." She said with a smile as the hosts gestured for her to follow her up the mountain, leaving the other six girls to return to the cabin and think about what they had done.
(Confessional)
ALEENA: That was the most nerve wracking experience of my life! I really thought I was going there, but I guess that people came through for me! I owe them a great debt!
YVES: I just couldn't bring myself to vote for Aleena or Yvette… so I voted for who I think would cause the most difficulty in our team unity - I just hope that she either doesn't find out or can at least forgive me for what I've done.
(The top of the mountain)
The hosts were stood here with the newest eliminated contestant Yvette, the girl was wearing her helmet and had a pair of skis strapped to her feet.
"I appear to be missing a pair of poles?" Yvette asked the hosts, you couldn't see it through the large helmet but she was definitely raising her eyebrow in confusion. "They are definitely needed for optimal control of the skis during the descent.
"Yeah I don't think you'll need those." Chris smiled as he gave Yvette a firm push that sent her rocketing down the side of the mountain, the opposite direction of the way to the cabin, screaming all the way down.
"Well that was an interesting episode wasn't it Chris?" Don asked his co-host with his usual host smile.
"Sure was Don!" Chris echoed with a similar grin, "We saw a blindside! We saw relationships forming!"
"And we saw Kahlin nearly get a concussion!" Don announced with a laugh. Cue the replay of Kahlin falling again.
"It all ended with Yvette being forced to take the downhill dash as she played too aggressively too fast which made her teammates feel pretty uncomfortable."
"But we've still got twelve people left so the competition is far from over! Who will be the one to walk away with the prize?!"
"Will Ashe be able to break himself out of his shell? Or will Boris actually… improve?"
"Will Alyssa be able to keep the peace between her friendships and her morals? And will Aleena be able to actually make a good film?"
"Who knows! Find out all of these answers and more! Next time on Total-!"
"Drama-!"
"Audacious Alpines!"
And there you have it! Yvette is our next boot! I loved Yvette and I actually had her going a lot further in the original drafts! But while I was writing the episode, it just felt right for this to be her time! I think she served her purpose well of bringing out negative qualities in a few of our contestants as well as giving some of the others some nice moral questions for them to think over!
I want to say a huge thank you to TheRainbowWhimsicott for submitting her and I hope I did her justice in making her multi-dimensional and still an enjoyable reading experience despite going home so early!
Thank you all so much once again for reading! Make sure that you leave a review to let me know how I'm doing! Let me know which characters you like, who you're not so fond of, who you think might be the next boot? And maybe who you think might win it all!
Nothing but love! Peace out everyone!
