This is my first story written. I wanted to have a at the idea of what happened in the years between Wei Ying's 'death' and when he reappeared. What happened to Lan Zhan and what happened with his family. It is only a shot story but I hope people like it. Lan Zhan/Wei Ying Lan Wanji/Wei WuXian

Lan Zhan looked at his husband, and let out the tears he had been holding in. Wei Wuxian stared. Lan Zhan had never cried. He had at most frowned, but never cried. He brought a hand to hold his face and leaned in to kiss his lips. "I'm sorry, I won't ever get hurt again." Wei Wuxian is kidnapped and all of China races to get him back home.

They didn't leave their son. He didn't kill his best friend. He wasn't fooled. And he never fell. What if it was all just a nightmare...a really bad dream? In the novel, when Wen Wuxian is trying to get away from Lan Wangji but being really annoying, he jumps on the bed and Lan Wangi freezes his body and says "Then stay like this for the whole night." Basically what Lan Wangi's thinking that night.

Seeing that the people he's trying to protect are slowly dying in the Burial Mounds, Wei Wuxian decides he will surrender to the Great Sects as a diversion to let them escape. Lan Wangji decides that they will all come to Gusu instead.
