Naruto looked at the two Uzumaki he had brought with him from the land of rice.
"I'll be off… keep safe you two" Naruto said as he started to walk away from the hidden rain academy.
"Wait!" the older one shouted as Naruto stopped walking.
"We never got your name" she shouted, to which Naruto knew wasn't true.
"Naruto Namikaze" He stated as he walked off not knowing the names of the two Uzumaki he saved.
'The perils of being a good shinobi' Naruto thought as he went away to further decode the Hirashin.
(6 months before the massacre, Konoha Ninja Academy)
Naruto looked down at the ninja in training, to be honest they were trash compared to him and Itachi at their age, but he liked it that way, kids should not fight.
"You're looking pretty gloomy right now" Naruto heard a female voice call out, it was Shiniko's.
He looked over at the smiling Kunoichi, minted in her chunin jacket. "I look at the kids down there and wish I had that life" he found himself saying.
"And not be a genius? You're lying" She stated as Naruto looked at her with a sad smile.
"I'm going to go visit my parents, wanna come?" He asked, walking to the ledge of the building.
"Ummm… I'm not too sure" she says shyly.
"You can talk to your teammate there" Naruto states, getting Shiniko to nod.
The two jumped off the building with the intent on visiting the grave stone.
(2 years after the massacre, unknown location in the Land of Wind)
(AN: This is 2 years before the start of the series, Naruto is now 16-17 years old.)
A sole shinobi wandered down the path that journeyed the Land of Wind, this sole shinobi wore a black cloak littered lightly with red clouds that had white outlines. The shinobi also wore a straw hat with multiple strips of cloth coming down to hide his identity and keep him cool, not that he needed it, his constant manipulation of wind around his body allowed cool air to flow through his coat in order to keep his body at optimal temperature.
His toes that where punished harshly by the Suna sun where painted a blood red, same as his fingernails and his ring that where hidden by the long sleeves of his coat.
This man was Naruto Namikaze, the famed Clan Killer and Genius of the Leaf, an S Ranked rouge ninja that rivaled just about anyone on the field of battle, since his last mission 2 years ago his abilities had improved tenfold as well as his critical thinking. This Shinobi was becoming more and more dangerous by the second.
Naruto was on a mission, to eliminate a tribe of Shinobi that had been making attack runs on Land of Earth Nobel's, his employer being Onoki of the Twin Scales, the Third Tsuchikage.
This mission was to be straight forward, and would let him test out his newest justus.
Naruto looked forward as he sensed four new presences approaching him, one high jonin, another low chunin and the other two mid genin. Naruto was sure that these four wouldn't try to interact with him, as he would cast a genjutsu surrounding him to hide his presence.
Naruto continued to walk until the four came into sight, one he could see was carrying a Suna battle fan, and the other had a wrapping on his bag, the smallest of the group looked nothing impressive, only carrying what seemed to be a katana on his back. They were walking in front of a jonin who had red markings on each of his cheekbones.
'Just a genin squad' he thought as he passed the three younger looking ninja.
The girl could have been no older than 14, the boy with what seemed to be a puppet wrapped on his back was around 12 as was the boy with the Katana.
Naruto looked at the jonin, he recognized him, Baki no Kaze, and A rank threat in Kumo's bingo book.
He walked about three steps behind Baki when the jonin pulsed out his chakra and readied into a battle stance.
"Genin, battle formation F!" he shouted as all three genin yelled "Kai!" before releasing some chakra, disrupting the genjutsu that Naruto had cast.
"Stop right there!" The jonin yelled as Naruto complied, stopping in his tracks.
"Turn around!" Baki ordered and Naruto did looking Baki in the eyes, not that the Suna Jonin could see Naruto's.
The blonde chuckled "If I knew you were Baki no Kaze about 20 minutes ago I would have cast a stronger Genjutsu"
"And who are you?" Baki asked whilst signing his genin something, Naruto couldn't decipher much of it, Suna's code was different to Konoha's after all and learning signals from Sasori would only happen once a year, even a genius like Naruto needs time to learn a new language.
"Interesting code there, mind if you teach it to me? I got the 'Wait for my signal to engage' part but I didn't catch the rest" Naruto asked politely as all the Ninja in front of him tensed.
'oh, Mind Games, how I love thee' Naruto thought as Baki sent another batch of hand signals to his genin.
The fan wielder, who Naruto had a better chance of looking at now, had sandy blonde hair tied up into four pigtails. He teal eyes looked at Naruto with cunning as she whipped out her battle fan at chunin speeds and swung the fan towards Naruto.
Any A ranked ninja could see this coming and easily dodge, yet as an S Rank ninja, Naruto had a reputation of being badass to uphold, so he channeled wind chakra into his right hand and waited until the wave of chakra enforced wind was about to cut of his right arm before lifting his arm up at blinding speeds.
What followed was a massive upwind, it roared as the blonde's wind jutsu was overwhelmed, instantly joining the wall of wind that Naruto produced. The wind wall blew with such force that clothes where forced against bodies, braches of nearby dead trees flying up into the air.
What Naruto didn't account for was the wind wall to knock his hat off his head, eventually getting caught up in the wall and shredded by the wind.
'Aww man, that was my only and favorite hat' Naruto wined internally as the wind wall ceased. Bits of his shredded hat falling down, separating the Suna ninja from the S Rank.
He saw Baki's eyes widen before they hardened.
"I have no business with you, leave" Naruto commanded as he watched the eyes of the sword kid widen, and the eyes of the other two seep further out of their eye sockets.
"Naruto Namikaze… what a ninja to meet" the katana boy said, quickly gaining his composure. "Just the ninja I need to defeat to become Kazekage!" he shouted before he charged forward, only to be stopped by their jonin.
"Don't Ika… he is too strong" Baki stated, holding in his student back from certain death.
Naruto looked at the Suna squad and released a small wave of killing intent that seemed to frighten the Katana kid, but not the other three.
Baki returned his killer intent with more of his own, this could easily overwhelm most jonin.
Naruto quirked his eye brow before clicking his tongue, erasing all intent to kill from the area, including Baki's, this surprised the Sand Jonin.
"You are not welcome here in the Land of Wind, after what you did" Baki stated with anger.
"Oho? You think you can take me?" Naruto asked, getting the Jonin to will his wind blade into existence.
"Yes" Baki says with upmost conviction, eying the S Rank.
"So be it" Naruto said with a sigh before shunshining next to the ninja at his max speed, leaving an after image of himself behind, using wind chakra on his fingertips Naruto reached the eye of Baki and grabbed it before pulling it out and kicking the jonin in the chest with a chakra infused kick.
Naruto looked at the stunned genin and dangled the eyeball in front of them, fear being instilled into them.
"Since your sensei liked to stare at me so much I decided to take one of his eyes" Naruto said before throwing the eyeball away.
"I will take my leave" Naruto stated before turning around leaving the three frozen genin to look at his back.
(6 months before the massacre, Konoha Memorial Stone)
"Hi Kaa-san, Tou-san… I brought a friend with me" Naruto started as he sat down next to the memorial stone. "I've been nominated for ANBU commander despite being 13… it's not that big of a deal but I thought you guys should know… Tou-san, I have started to decode the Hirashin, but its pretty tricky when only looking at your formula, also I've started to implement chakra nature into the rasengan… though that will probably take me years to complete… Itachi and Shisui seem to be getting heavier workloads as more and more shinobi exit out of ANBU and the primary strike force… Menma, the boy you sealed the fox into isn't doing too well… the villagers treat him like trash, for something has not done, I don't like the villagers doing this to the poor boy. Every now and then I take him out for ramen and he seems like the happiest kid in the world, I want to protect that smile"
Naruto pulled out his father's tri-pronged kunai and held it up to the sun. "My elemental manipulation has also increased… Wind, Fire and Water are elements I have mastered while I am close with earth I have a little while to go before I master lightning, Kaka-nii is helping me out with that in his spare time"
The boy looked at the silent Shiniko, the 16 year old looked pretty in the Konoha sun. He smiled, it was one of those sights that left the boy in awe of females.
"N-naruto? Why are you staring at me?" Shiniko asked, with a slight blush spreading across her face.
"Just admiring the view" was all that the blonde said.
(Present day, Konoha Ninja Academy)
Iruka looked at all of his students, he would be sure to receive some backlash after this lesson finished.
"Alright class pay attention" Iruka started as the class gave him attention. "Today we will be going over rouge ninja, and what they are and the standard procedures are when encountering them"
The class nodded.
"Can anybody name a rouge ninja for me?" Iruka asked as the classes' face went blank before a pink haired girl named Sakura put her hand up.
"Yes Sakura?"
"Orochimaru of the Sanin" She stated.
Iruka nodded, the Sanin had defected about a month ago, and everybody not living under a rock had heard the news. He then reached into his desk and pulled out little black books.
"These are called Bingo books, each ninja village has their own, this is the latest one that Konoha has issued, I only have a certain amount here so you will group up in threes to share" Iruka said as many of the children grouped up.
After about a minute Iruka spoke "Once you and your group are ready send a representative from your group to come collect a book"
Surprisingly for Iruka, Menma Uzumaki came up first.
"Hello Menma, who are you grouped up with?" Iruka asked as the boy pointed towards Shikamaru Nara and Choji Amakichi.
Iruka nodded and handed him a Bingo Book.
Soon the entire class had grouped up and received Bingo Books. "Your task is to find a rouge ninja of any rank, you have two minutes to do so"
Iruka prayed nobody would find one from Konoha.
Then Menma put his hand up. "Iruka-sensei, we found one!"
"Who Menma?" Iruka asked, expecting it to be some B ranked threat.
"Naruto Namikaze" he said with a bitter tone, to which Iruka looked at Sasuke immediately, a look of shock appearing on his face.
"Explain who he is Menma" Iruka asked, he knew Sasuke needed to get past his fear of the man, labeled as one of the most dangerous ninja on the planet.
"Naruto Namikaze, Alias Fuin no Kami (God of Seals) / Clan Killer, Rank S, Wanted for slaughtering the Uchiha Clan, Bounty 30 Million Ryo.
Abilities: True extent of abilities not known but is proficient in any type of Ninjutsu, Fuinjutsu and Taijutsu. Has complete mastery over the Wind, Fire and Water elements and is heralded as the best Battle Fuinjutsu user since his father, Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage.
Feats: ANBU Captain at 13, Genin at 5, Chunin at 9 and Jonin at 11.
Side notes: Naruto is a once in a million years genius, his intellect surpassing that of Itachi Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, Orochimaru of the Sanin and even the Fourth Hokage. Unless you are accompanied by a squad of A Rank or above ninja, Flee on Sight." Menma explained as the class looked at Menma with wide eyes.
"When you come into contact with Naruto Namikaze, what do you do?" Iruka asked his class.
The class was silent until one person spoke up, it was Sasuke "Run".
Iruka nodded "Unless you reach Kage level it is advised that you run from S Ranked ninja"
