Merry Christmas 2018

Isabella placed the last couple of ornaments as Phineas hung the green garlands around the coffee shop windows. "You invited him, didn't you?" She inquired and Phineas chuckled, "Of course I did."

Isabella started the hot chocolate and made sure there were enough cakes and cookies.

The door to the coffee shop opened and friends started to enter. Ginger almost slipped on the floor in her haste to hug Isabella. "I'm so glad you're putting this on. I wouldn't know where to start."

Isabella hugged her friend back. "I wish I had either Gretchen or Adyson to help." Ginger took a step back and slipped out of her coat, letting Baljeet take it. "You should have called me, I would have helped." Isabella shrugged, "You're busy with your little one; where is she? You should have brought her."

Buford and Milly arrived and stayed an hour before they had to leave.

Phineas pulled his phone out of his pocket as it signaled an incoming text, 'Can you give us a hand? The sidewalk is almost impassable.' Phineas sent a quick reply before heading out the door, not bothering with his coat.

A few minutes later, the door to the coffee shop opened and Phineas helped Ferb wrestle the stroller in. Gretchen followed, the diaper bag slung over her shoulder alongside her purse.

"Gretchen!" Ginger and Isabella squealed as they enveloped the smaller woman in a hug. Ginger hugged her friend a bit longer. "You brought him? I left Yuki with my parents." Isabella busied herself extracting her nephew from his car seat. "Look how big he's gotten! I've not seen him in weeks!"

Isabella held little Alexander close, "I've gotten you some books. You should ask your father to read them to you." Ferb plucked his son from Isabella's arms. "I make sure he gets at least one story every day."

Baljeet stepped over with a couple of hot beverages, "What happened? The party started three hours ago. Buford and Milly came and left before you arrived." Ferb sighed, "I had to work late this afternoon. We got here as quickly as we could."

Isabella frowned slightly at the thought of working late. "At least you were able to stop by. I don't know what happened to Adyson and Django, or Holly for that matter." Gretchen pulled a bottle out of her bag and offered it to her son, "Django and Adyson are visiting family in Florida. I don't know about Holly, I've not seen her in years."

The next few hours saw a few more people come and go. Phineas, Isabella, Ferb and Gretchen were sitting talking with Baljeet and Ginger. "We really need to get together more often." Ginger pointed out. Gretchen nodded, "I'm home for now. I'll be going back to work in a couple of months." Isabella put her drink down, "How about we do a pot-luck at our place? How does next Saturday sound?"

AN: I enjoy pondering what happens with the next generation. Merry Christmas from my family to yours.
