Twenty-year-old Ferb unlocked the back door and disarmed the alarm before re-locking and re-arming The Coffee Shop.

He went into his office and pulled up the employee schedule. He didn't have anyone scheduled for today, it was Christmas Day after all. He woke up in the middle of the night and decided that he would open The Coffee Shop for a couple of hours. He didn't have any plans until evening when he was going over to the Weiss residence for dinner.

Ferb checked the stock in the fridge and placed the treats in the case. He had another delivery arriving early the next morning and figured that if he could use up the current inventory he would be okay.

Ferb disarmed the alarm, turned the lights on and opened the front door.

It didn't take long before a couple of people came in for a hot drink.

Ferb lost track of time and didn't noticed the sun setting out the large windows. He was busier than he anticipated. The Coffee Shop phone rang, startling Ferb. "Coffee Shop." He answered. He recognized the voice on the other end of the line immediately. "I've been trying to call you all day. I left you seven text and two voice mail." Gretchen said, worry in her voice.

"Sorry Love. It's been busy. My phone is in the office." Ferb replied. The worry was replaced by relief, "I wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas. Why are you at work?" She inquired. Ferb pulled the last tray of dishes from the dishwasher. "I thought I'd open the shop for a few hours. I didn't anticipate how busy it would be. I'll be closing the shop in a moment. I'll be over in an hour." He promised.

Merry Christmas and best of the season from my family to yours.
