Kagome spent the night watching the night sky, and Sesshomaru spent the night watching her, asking questions, coming up with plans, Sesshomaru always liked to be one step ahead.

"It will be morning soon," She said; he picked up on her heart rate; she was scared. They didn't know when or how it would happen, and not knowing was scary all by itself. Sesshomaru stood and walked closer to her, standing near her, it didn't help her fear, but then again, he was not trying.

Soon they could see the pink of the sky, and a tear ran down her face. "I'm so scared, I don't wanna go back," She whispered.

"It's dark."

It made him think of Rin; Rin hated the dark. Sesshomaru looked down at her with a hard face, he could feel her fear, and he didn't like it; her whole body shook, and he was sure she was going to throw up any minute. At the first ray of sun that peeked over the edge of the world, her body began to fade, and her heart picks up even more. Kagome turned to him, bit her lip, her body, though not far from him, started to move to him. The clothing she wore fell to the floor, and she was once again nude. Once her body made contact, her arms went around his neck, and her head went on his chest, her eyes closed. "See you tonight," She said in faded words, but he heard her.

What gave him a chill, as she vanished before him, was that he could not feel her touch.

Sesshomaru didn't like being touched, but being touched and not being able to feel it, scary. The jewel shined bright for a moment; then it went dull.

He quickly dressed and left his room.

"My Lord, are you ill? You did not come out of your room all night!" Jaken screamed, sad as he followed his Lord down the hall.

"Do not be a fool, Jaken," He snapped. "Watch Rin; I am returning to Inuyasha."

Jaken stopped. "Your what!"

But Sesshomaru did not answer him; he walked straight out, not missing a beat. This time he traveled by air, there was no time to waste and nothing standing in his way, thank Kami.

To his surprise, as he flew overhead, the old Miko stood outside, as if she were waiting for someone; he found it very, very odd, so he landed near her.

"Young Lord," She bowed, he eyed her,

"You knew I was coming."

"Hia,"

He looked around, "My brother?"

"He is with my sister."

Of course.

"Her friends?"

"You mean, Kagome's?"

He knew she knew what he was saying, "Indeed."

"They returned to the slayer village, but you did not come here to ask me that did ye?"

"No."

The old Miko turned from him and hobbled to her hurt, "Come in, my old body needs to sit."

Sesshomaru followed and sat with the old woman. She made tea but did not offer him any; she knew he would not take it anyway. "So you have come to ask about the jewel, have you?"

"No."

She looked at him quickly. "No?"

"I come seeking answers about the Miko, Kagome."

"She is stuck, is she not."

"I do not have time for games."

"Do you not?" He would live forever, would he not?

"Very well, she does not have time for games."

"It would seem you both have nothing but time, young Lord."

He narrowed his eyes, "What do you know, old woman."

"Know, I know nothing, but what have I heard, plenty."

He waited,

"Tell me, young lord, where you embraced by a naked woman last night."

Sesshomaru growled,

"Hmm, it is true then." She sipped her tea, the aroma reached his nose.

"What is the truth."

"Tell me, do you know who held the jewel before my sister?"

His eyes opened then narrowed. "Watch the word of which you speak."

"You came seeking me out, looking for answers, did you not?" She snapped. "Young Lord, this has nothing to do with me, I could tell you simply that rumors tell me that at night, the Miko is un-trapped and stuck to whoever holds the jewel, but you, already knew that, so why then did you come, if not to hear me out," She sat the tea down hard.

"My father," He answered.
