"GUN IT!" Lynn said as she mowed down several flood-infected marines "I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT CHIEF AND ELITE ARE DOING BUT IM NOT GOING TO GET KILLED BY SOME UNDERCOOKED SPACE DOUGHNUT!"
Lincoln looked at the wheel of the warthog and slammed on the accelerator of the vehicle and she had her energy shield flash as she took 3 shots of plasma to the chest. A sentinel flew overhead chasing carrier forms and popped them like balloons filled with confetti. The back tire scrapped mud and flung it on the space zombies as we began to go faster than the flood was gaining.
"LINCOLN!" Luan yelled over the comms with a fire of guns and tanks in the background "I, LORI, and LUNA LINKED WITH LOLA, LANA, LISA, AND LENI, LUCY, LILY! BUT ENCOUNTERING 10 COVIE WRAITHS, 5 BANSHEES, 2 SCARABS, AND A FUCK TON OF INFANTRY. THEY SURE AS HELL DIDN'T LIKE US KILLING THE PROPHET OF TRUTH."
"That's great but where are we going to get the HELL off of this ringworld," Lincoln responded
"Well we have a rallying point with several pelicans and phantoms on the way and here to pick us up but we need you to get THE FUCK OVER HERE AND DEFEND IT" She yelled as the radio became static
Lincoln pumped the gas and he ran over 2 flood-infected grunts and drifted to his right. Lynn ignited a plasma grenade in her hand and threw it at a flying sentinel and nailed it right in it's the robotic eye. The sentinel started to panic as it reached for the sticky that was clouding its vision but it blew up leaving it a fury spew as it spiraled to the ground and took 2 more flood forms with it. Lynn let the machine gun rev up on the warthog and mowed down even more flood forms and sentinels as they flew overhead.
"LINCOLN! WATCH OUT!" Lynn shouted as she looked at her right
Lincoln's eyes darted to his left and a flood infected Elite jumped on his diver's side and ignited an energy sword. Lincoln felt a sharp pain as the energy sword impale his armor and almost scrape his skin. His energy shields flickered as they depleted, he looked at the abomination behind his orange visor. He took his side pistol and unloaded an entire clip into the monster's chest as it flopped over and rolled on the ground. His shield monitor came up seeing that his defenses were recharging and looked at his chest. There was a giant slash on the middle of his chest and it was burned from the plasma of the weapon.
"Lincoln! I can see you." Lori said "But I can also see you brought some unwanted guests. Well lucky for us the pelicans should arrive any second now. So get your ass over here so we can leave before we get burnt to ash."
Lincoln looked up and saw 5 shadows overcast him. 3 pelicans and 2 green phantoms were making their way to a hill 1 click northwest. He swerved left and he looked back at Lynn.
"Lynn! Hold on!" He said
Lynn looked forward and her eyes widened.
"Don't you fucking dare! We are not driving through that!" She yelled at him
Lincoln swerved to his right and made a b-line towards a burning wreck with spikes of a wrecked Covenant Battle Cruiser. He closed his eyes as he took a deep breath it and suddenly he felt himself ascend and stayed there for 5 seconds. He opened his eyes and he was 2 feet from the ground and he managed to leave the wreck of the Battle Cruiser unscathed. He looked back as he stopped the warthog and saw the floods cry from inside the burning debris. He looked up the hill and saw 2 covenant wraths spin around and launch 2 balls of plasma into the sky. He accelerated past them as he ran over grunts, jackals, and brutes in his attempt to escape.
"You got lucky on that one," Lynn said as she sprayed the gun recklessly
"On the count of 3, we jump from the warthog." He said as they were nearing the human blockade. " One… Two… THREE!"
They both jumped out as the warthog smashed into a wraith and lay there with its job done. Lincoln and Lynn fought with little ammo they had as they made their way up the hill. He shot a grunt in the head and the bullet went straight through and into a jackal's hand. They turned around and ran as fast as they could as the pelicans settled on the ground.
"Well, guys you had your fun. Time to go." Carol said as she lowered the ramp to the pelican
"Nice to see you made it back alive," Luna said punching Lynn in the back with her robotic arm
Lincoln jumped on the aircraft and gave his hand to Leni and pulled her up.
"Are you ok?" He asked
"Better now that your here," she replied
Lucy, Luan, and Lily all jumped on the pelican as the other spartan siblings got on the rest. The Elites gut sucked up into the phantoms and some marines tagged along. Lincoln looked at what was left of the covenant firing upon them, he looked up and saw a mass fly above them. He squinted his eyes and saw 'Foreward unto Dawn' written on the side. He turned around and walked up to the pilot.
"Sharp, get us out of here." He said as he put a hand on her shoulder
"Roger that." She said as a rumble was felt as the flying brick took off
The pelican began to take off, leaving the covenant with the flood further advancing. He looked back down as he expected the rap to close. But it didn't.
"Sam, close the hatch," Lincoln said
She pressed a button on the console, then again, then again.
"It won't close!" She began to panic
"SHIT!" Lincoln panicked as he inspected the door
"It says that there's something in the hydraulic system!" Lily said looking at a panel
Lincoln looked up at the top right corner where the red was showing on the picture of the pelican. He looked up there and saw an anomaly in a space in between the space. He reached out to grab it but suddenly he felt it wrap around his fist. He pulled it out and it screeched and he felt it trying to bit him.
"FLOOD!" Luan yelled as she pulled out his pistol
He grabbed the infection form with his other hand and yanked it off. Lincoln felt it crawl up his arm and jump onto his helmet he grabbed it with both hands and began to pull as hard as possible. He walked back while he tried to pull it off his visor. Suddenly he took another step back but he felt no more floor. He fell off of the ship still trying to pull it off. He succeeded as he threw it back down at the ark but soon he felt a phantom ram into his side. He was launched back at the pelican he aimed into the cargo hold but the doors finally closed. He slammed into the door of the pelican as they entered the slip space stream. He pounded on the door and pulled on it.
"LINCOLN!" Lori said "Don't leave us. SAM OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!"
"I'M TRYING!" Sam panicked
"Lori… It's fine…" He said as he let go of the door "You girls were good with me."
"Lincoln don't you say that! We're all going you home!" Lola yelled on the comms
"Lola… I have no home left… It got glassed… remember?" Lincoln said as he began to float towards the slip space stream.
"We're your family Lincoln!" Leni cried "SAM OPEN THE DOOR!"
"And wouldn't want to be with anyone else when I died," Lincoln said as he faced the blue sphere
"Lincoln! You'll be shredded apart if you go in there!" Lisa said
"I guess that's how I'm going out," Lincoln said as he felt the pull getting stronger
"Lincoln!" Lori yelled "Lin-c-n do-t yo- le-v- Linc-ln"
The radio turned to static as Lincoln finally entered the slip space stream. Lincoln opened his eyes and saw white and blue fly around me. Lincoln felt the air leave my lungs and a wild beeping was heard from my shield monitor. Lincoln looked back and saw Leni in her armor up there in the pilot seat next to Carol I smiled behind my visor and I closed my eyes as Lincoln felt my arms and legs begin to shake wildly. Lincoln let out my final breath before Lincoln finally passed out.

Lincoln felt something soft graze his back and he opened his eyes. He felt light-headed as he went in and out of consciousness. He could make out what seemed like trees with houses in the distance.
'D-d-did I do it? Am I back on earth?' he thought
He closed his eyes and cringed as he failed to move his arms. He looked at his visor and it was unshattered, surprisingly. He looked to his left and saw a crater not more than 5 meters across and realized his suit triggered survival mode. He closed his eyes as he felt the stiffness go away after he relaxed.
"What is it?"
His eyes barely open and looked slightly to his left. 2 figures holding flashlights in their grasps flashed it in his face. He squinted behind his visor as he felt the light burn. He could tell they were female from his voices but he couldn't see their faces
"It looks like a robot."
He couldn't help but flinch at her calling him that
"So… do you wanna dismantle it for parts, Lacy?"
"Lupa… that's so fucking cool"
His eyes shot open and he turned of survival mode and stood up in a flash. He towered over the 2 girls by 2 ½ feet. He looked down at them and he saw their faces. One was with white hair with a black and yellow jacket with 2 crosses for earrings while the other one had brown hair and a jacket with the zipper unzipped. The 2 girls faces turned to pure horror at the 7-foot cyborg in front of them
