Suicide: Claudia and Lucius

Lucius Pontius Pilate leaned down and tenderly kissed his sleeping wife's cheek, for the final time. Then he walked outside.

He looked down at the leaves he held.

"I'm sorry, Claudia," he whispered

"but I'm doing this for you, you deserve better than this."

For the first time, he found himself praying to Claudia's God.

"I don't know why you would answer the prayer of a man like me, but Claudia says you are a God of forgiveness. Help her and Doros to find happiness, Lord" He swallowed the herbs.

"I love you, Claudia," he whispered, as darkness took him.
