"I'm not going to hurt you, Artaynta ."

"Why not?" Her voice shook, He shrugged,

"I could beat you bloody, but my family has already hurt you enough. My mother manipulated you. My father used you, then abandoned you..." he cupped her cheek in his hand,

"and I ignored you"

"You don't love me, you love her." Darius sighed,

"Yes, I love Zenobia, but I shouldn't have ignored you" He put his arms around her and held her.

"It's going to be okay, Artaynta, I promise."
