It was funny how much could change in a year. One year ago he had been greedy, caring only for wealth and power.
He watched as his wife took their son from his crib, holding him up and laughing. A year ago he had threatened to kill her if she didn't weave straw into gold. Now he couldn't imagine his life without her, and their son. A son they had almost lost because of his selfishness.
