Cerise and Gemini- 12( 9 months before the Wererat)
At the restaurant everything was in full swing, the delicious food being served to the customers, and everything was in the right place.
Linguini and Cerise were working as waiters while the two children were with Colette in the kitchen with the rats.
Could I interest you in a dessert this evening? Cerise asked in her translator. A young couple gave them their orders and Cerise wrote them down. Cerise bowed to them and took their leftover dinner plates. Cerise signed to Colette the couple's dessert order. Colette nodded and told Remy the order.
Then Cerise went to greet some more customers until a young boy looked at her. He was a tall, tan, and young boy. He had messy black hair, dreamy dark chocolate eyes, and he wore a dark green collared shirt, jeans, and dark blue sneakers. Cerise sat him at a table. She felt her cheeks getting red. When She went into the kitchen, Colette noticed Cerise's red cheeks and smiled.
"Somebody had a crush eh...Who is it…" Cerise tried her best to describe him. The moment was interrupted by Alfredo coming into the kitchen
"Cerise...Somebody wants to talk to you" Alfredo exited with a smile on his face.
Cerise went outside the kitchen and waltz towards the boy's table.
"Hello…" Cerise waved. "Do you have any specials tonight?"
Then Cerise typed on her translator. Oui, the steak, the ratatouille, and our cherry tart.
"Well what do you recommend, Beautiful?" the boy asked seductively
Cerise's cheeks were already red and they went even redder when he called her beautiful.
Well, I recommend the ratatouille...Our best seller… Cerise typed on her translator
"Can you hear Mademoiselle?" the boy asked. Cerise nodded her head and just pointed to her throat.
"Oh, you cannot speak…" Cerise sadly shook her head.
"Well, I'll take the ratatouille and your name…"
My name is Cerise...and I'll get that to you… then Cerise left with the blush still attached to her cheeks.
She returned with his food and he asked her to return and he slipped something around her neck. She looked down and saw that it was a golden necklace with a heart in the middle. Cerise looked at the boy and typed in her translator
Thank you for the necklace but I don't need any tips
"No I have to you because it's one of a kind just like you," the boy said. Those words made Cerise smile and blush once more
"Oh my name is Michel...nice to meet you Cerise...my Cheri" Michel kissed her hand and left the restaurant with something on the table.
Cerise waved him goodbye and she heard "Aww" and turned to see her adoptive mother and father, Anton and her younger brother and sister smiling and a few customers with their hands on their hearts
"Such a lucky girl…" She heard a woman with a beret.
"Wait what's that on the table?" Renee asked.
Cerise picked up the paper and read it.
Next week I'm coming by the restaurant again to see you, To take you on a date...Dress to impress
Cerise handed it to Colette and Alfredo and they smiled at each other.
"He asked you on a date, Cerise…" Alfredo said
Cerise grinned but she looked down at herself
"Don't you worry I have just the dress for you" Colette was excited for Cerise and Cerise was extremely excited since this might be her first time on a date
The next day, She told her friends what happened at school during lunch
"I'm so happy for you Cerise…" Gemini squealed
Tony and Francois have a thumbs up for approval
"Wait wait who is this guy?" Rafael asked
He told me his name is Michel Cerise typed on her translator
"Michel...I don't trust him…"
"Why not?" Gemini asked
"I heard he has a reputation…"
For what do you know Cerise typed on her translator
"Not for sure but I saw him a few months ago with this girl and he broke her heart…"
"What school does he go to?" Tony asked
"That rich school that's nearby here…"
"Ugh, that's where the snobs are" Francois groaned and blew a raspberry.
Then when school ended Cerise was being taken home by Colette and she saw Gemini talking to a boy but she didn't see who it was.
Colette was in her closet with her adopted daughter behind her.
"Aha, I knew I didn't throw this out!" Colette pulled out a sleek black dress with small straps and presented it to Cerise
"What do you think…" Cerise took a close look at it and a smile slowly formed on her face.
"You like it eh...You can never go wrong with a simple black dress…"
Cerise smiled and nodded her head
The same night, Cerise helped her parents again at the restaurant, and then an excited Gemini bursts in the front door
"Cece your never gonna believe what happened...I got asked out on a date too…the best part is that he gave me a necklace and said it's one of a kind just like you…"
Then Cerise started to frown when she saw that it was the same necklace Michel gave her
"What's wrong?" Cerise typed on her translator
But that's what the guy told me…
The girls then stare at each other in silence
"Well, this is awkward…
Yep
"But I know that he's mine" Gemini crossed her arms
No, he's mine
"Girls girls...There's no need to fight-" Gemini interrupted Anton
"The boy is mine."
No, he's mine then the two girls parted ways
Alfredo and Colette who came in amid the fight
"Oi vey" Colette facepalmed herself.
Over the course of the next few days, Cerise and Gemini were preparing for their date. Tony, Francois, and Rafael were surprised that they were competing for a boy.
Then when school was over, Cerise looked around at a crowd and there was a girl with blonde hair with brunette roots decked out in cashmere and a fur coat
"Oh, that's Marie…" Francois approached Cerise. "She's one of the richest girls that go here...steer clear of her, money can give her quite the personality…."
By the time the day came, it was around sunset. There were fewer customers at the restaurant, Tony, Francois and Rafael were into the restaurant. Rafael and Francois were talking at a table Alfredo was serving. Tony was hanging out with the twins, showing them how to fold a napkin.
"And here's how you fold it…"
"And it'll look like a hat right…"
Auggie asked, making Tony chuckle.
"Something like that…'' then they heard the door open and Alfredo looked up and his jaw dropped. The twins and Tony turned to see none other than Cerise at the door.
She wore her hat in a low bun with her bangs brushed to the side(think Darcy's bun in For Keeps) with a dark pink flower clip. She wore Colette's sleek black dress and wore a pair of ballet flats
Tony stood up and was in awe. Cerise turned to see him. Tony was dressed in a light green dress shirt and jeans and his blonde hair was ruffled. He slowly approached her
"You-you look beautiful- I mean not beautiful but… oh you look gorgeous Cerise…" Tony stammered.
Cerise blushed gently and typed thank you on her translator. Then Alfredo approached her.
"Wow...you look amazing Cerise…" Alfredo smiled
"See I told you you can never go wrong with a black dress…" Colette smiled
Then they heard the door open again and this time, Gemini was at the door
"What do you think fellas…" Gemini had her hair straight with blonde ends and black roots. She wore a red dress with no straps and wore kitten heels and cat-eye sunglasses were in her hands
"That looks so pretty," Rafael told her
"Why thank you, Rafael…"
"Why do you look like you have fur on the bottom of your dress?" Francois asked
"First of all Francois...this is a 1920s flapper look, because if I'm going on a date...tuh I gots to be fly" Gemini placed her sunglasses on
"Hold the lettuce…" Francois snickered
Then Gemini gasped seeing Cerise in the black dress
"Okay okay...I know we're competing but my god I love your dress…" Cerise smiled
I love your dress too...did your mom make it…
"Yup, her best design yet…" then the door opened revealing another girl and the girls turned, and immediately Cerise recognized her
"What are you two doing here…" Marie asked them
"We're going on a date...what about you...I thought you had a rich club to go to"
"In fact, Michel and I are going on a date" Marie had her hair in a curly high bun and wore a silver one-shoulder dress with a white fur coat.
"Michel and I are going on a date" Gemini fought back
Same here Cerise typed on her translator. Then Cerise noticed something similar about the girls
Did he give you guys the same necklace?
"Yeah our necklaces do look the same but didn't he say something else too?"
"That it's one of a kind just like you.." the girls groaned angrily
"Can't believe Michel tricked us" Gemini crossed her arms
"What do we do.." Then funny enough Michel came in with a FOURTH girl.
He stared at the girls. "Uh hey, ladies…"
The girls turned to each other then Gemini stepped towards him
"You got a lot of nerve to make us dress like this only to find you with another girl…"
"What?" The brunette girl said heartbroken
Yeah he gave us this necklace and told us that it was one of a kind just like you Cerise added
"You jerk," the girl said
"How could you do us like this.." Marie, Cerise and Gemini, and the girl backed Michel outside of the restaurant
"Now girls girls I didn't-" then out of nowhere, a truck hit Michel on the road. The four girls were stunned seeing him get hit.
Tony covered The twins' eyes and Francois and Rafael covered their mouths
"Oh, man…" Gemini finally spoke. Then Cerise stepped towards the boy and checked to see if he's okay and he was unconscious, then she took off her necklace and threw it at Michel. Gemini and Marie followed her example
"You jerk…" the girl yelled.
"I'm so sorry about that...what's your name?" Gemini consoled the brunette girl
"Alison...he got to me too...told me he was single and he had you 3 giving you necklaces and stuff...I'm sorry he wasted your time"
Then Francois went outside and decided to take it from here and talked to Alison
Cerise and Colette called an ambulance and had just hung up the phone
"The ambulance is arriving in ten minutes," Colette told the kids
"Hey, Cece...I'm sorry about you know the fight about Michel" Gemini apologized.
Cerise typed on her translator I'm sorry too...I shouldn't say this but it serves him right for tricking all four of us like that
"So what do we do now, we're still in these dresses," Marie told the other 3 girls
Maybe we can slow dance...you know like a winter formal
"That's a good idea" Gemini smiled
"Except we don't have music…" Alison added
"Yes, we do…" Tony brought his radio and turned on a slow song and the girls went back inside.
Cerise danced with Tony, Gemini with Rafael and Francois offered to dance with the other two girls. Even Alfredo and Colette joined in and swayed with each other
"Hey, Cerise...I'm sorry about what happened…" Tony told her
Don't worry Tony...I didn't expect him to wake me out. Cerise looked into Tony's blue eyes and blushed and Tony's cheeks turned red too
"Rafe don't worry about it...he was a waste of time anyway…" Gemini told Rafael as they danced
"You have such amazing confidence...that's what I always loved- I-I mean liked about you…" Rafael stuttered
"Did you say that you loved my confidence?" Gemini asked
Rafael stuttered a little further until Gemini kissed him on the cheek making them both blush
Cerise and Tony were about to kiss until Cerise felt a weight on her legs and looked down and saw the twins hugging her
"You guys want a slow dance too?" Tony asked. Tony picked up Renee and Cerise picked up Auggie and took them to experience a slow dance
"Cece I'm sorry about Michael…"
Cerise just shook her head. He wasn't good enough, besides I have you and Renee and that's good enough. She nuzzled her little brother's nose with hers making Auggie giggle
The ambulance arrived and they took Michel away to the hospital while the kids danced the night away in the restaurant for the slow dance throwing away the worry and misunderstanding of a boy that broke 4 hearts.
