Summary
What if Rachel never got back together with Finn before Senior year and she met a guy name Brody Weston over the summer and they instantly hit off making it offical after she lost Nationals. She finds out that he goes to college at NYADA majoring in Musical theater How will their relationship work when her ex boyfriend Finn Hudson tries to win her back? And what happens when the Glee club members find out that she has a new boyfriend? Will they believe her or not?

I will be adding a few characters in this story aswell so Rachel will be making new friends but could make friends with the Glee club members.

On New Years Eve.
Brody got up quietly so he didn't wake up his peaceful sleeping girlfriend and his annoying but sweet sister. They were both in his bedroom at his place. His bed was big enough for all three of them to sleep in his room. He mostly held Rachel close to him during the night.
He walked out of his room and went into the kitchen to make breakfast for all three of them. He took a deep breath and sighed. Tonight was the night where he was going to ask Rachel the big question. This had to be special. He had it all planned out.
He was going to cook him and Rachel dinner while Vanna went back to Dad's house after her and Rachel talk hang out for a little bit. Vanna was taking her shopping and they were going to lunch and do what girls do.
Then she would bring Rachel back to his place where he would have already cooked a great meal for the two of them. They would spend quiet time here at his place and he'll say the words he's wanted to say since he first met her and he'll pop the question in a very romantic way. Hopefully she'll say yes and then they will spend the rest of the night ringing in the new year with his family as an engaged couple hopefully.
He has no idea how it's going to be for both of them if she turns down his marriage proposal. He might feel hurt and rejected but he wasn't going to end their relationship, it just means now is not the right time for them to be engaged. He wasn't giving up on this relationship. Hopefully Rachel doesn't give up on this relationship either.
"Good morning brother. Don't burn down your place with that spacing out your doing." He stared at her before going back to making breakfast.
"You okay?" He sighed nodding.
"You getting nervous bro? You have nothing to worry about because it's going be perfect." He stared at her.
"Don't be too loud or she might hear you. Is Rachel still sleeping?" She nods walking over to him and gives him a hug.
"What if she turns it down?" Vanna stared at him like he was crazy. Rachel loved her brother so much. She doesn't think she's going to say now.
"Come on Brody." He shook his head.
"No we need to realistic here. She could say no Vanna and I need to prepare myself for my rejection." Vanna sighs.
"Okay you prepare yourself for that but I really don't think it's going to happen. Your all she thinks about besides her best friends and her family and Broadway. I know she wants you right there in the front row." Brody stared at his sister.
"Trust me Brody she turned down Finn's marriage proposal because he's not who she wants anymore. She told me about her relationship with Finn and he really isn't for her these days because she's ready to move on with her life. You make her very happy Brody. Don't chicken out." He nodded.
"Alright now sit down while I finish making breakfast for all three of us. Sorry sis but I made us a vegan friendly breakfast." She made a face but nods. Some vegan foods were good but she wouldn't change her way of eating. She loved non vegan food.
They heard footsteps and looked to see Rachel with bed hair looking tired.
"Good morning Baby Barbra." Vanna says to her best friend who was going to be engaged to her brother hopefully tonight.
"Good morning Sprinkles." Rachel walks over to Vanna and sits on her lap.
"Did you two have to talk all night in my bed?" The girls stared at him as he walked over to the table putting a plate of vegan Peanut Butter Cup Pancakes on the table with some fruit.
"Are those vegan?" Rachel and Vanna asked him. They looked amazing.
"Yes you that's all I eat is vegan food Rach. Now dig in and sit in your own seat." Rachel giggles getting off Vanna's lap and sits in her own chair.
Brody walks over with their glasses of orange juice for him and Rachel while he hands Vanna her apple juice.
"Alright you two, what do you have planned today while I'm here all by myself. Are you two staying out until nightime?"
"It's a girl day between Rachel and I. And to answer your second question? what time should I bring your girlfriend back?" Rachel just smiled at the two siblings.
"7:00 on the dot Vanna Charlotte Weston. Don't be bringing her back late." Vanna rolled her eyes at her brother then stared at her bestie.
"Don't worry I won't. Let's hurry up and get ready to go out and about. I want to spend as much time with you since my brother's been hogging you since you got here, remeber it's cold so make sure you wear something warm. I don't want you to freeze to death." Vanna tells her with a smile.
Rachel nodded saying that she knows softly.
"Why are you so quiet baby?" She shrugged staring at her boyfriend.
"Still a little tired I guess but I'm fine." Brody stared at her getting worried.
"Are you sure? have you spoken to your dads? do you miss them?"
"I miss them a little and I spoke to them last night while you were in the shower. Really Brody I'm still just a little tired. I'll be more awake." He asked if she was sure.
"Yes baby I'm good. I'm going to get ready for the day." She finished her breakfast then put her plate in the sink and kissed Brody's cheek before going into the guest room to get ready for the day.
Vanna stared at her brother and took another bite of her pancakes. He sighs shaking his head. She chuckled.
"Do you actually think she's going to say no?" He started to speak but then closed his mouth.
"Brody I'm telling you right now that you have nothing to worry about. She's going to say yes." He just stayed quiet and finished up his breakfast.
"I really hope so." She gave him a smile before finishing up her own breakfast.
With Rachel and Vanna.
Rachel and Vanna just finished getting their nails done, getting their hair done and just touring the city while taking pictures. They even sang in the middle of the busy New York street not caring who was watching them.
"So are you hungry?" Vanna asked her as they held onto her arm.
"Yeah I'm a little hungry. This has been a fun day. I wonder what Brody's doing?"
Vanna very much knew what her brother was doing but she was going to act like she doesn't know.
"Who knows Chelle. He's probably catching up with some of his friends from NYADA. He's a guy Rach that needs to guy things." Rachel nodded.
Vanna was right he was a guy that had friends before she came into his life.
"So how are things with you and Remi are you two girlfriends yet or are you two still going on dates?" Vanna smiles as they cross the street.
"Remi and I are still figuring that out our feelings for each other but you will be the first to know when we do become offical." Rachel smiles at her.
"I just want you to be happy, whoever your dating boy or girl. And you better tell me before Kurt or McKenna. Even Ava." She demands.
Vanna laughed at her very dramatic best friend. She loved Rachel's crazy. She thought McKenna was something else but Rachel is a whole different story in a good way.
"Thank you so much for coming into mine and my brothers life. You really are like a sister to me. No matter what happens between you and my brother, you'll always be my best friend/sister." Rachel stares at her a second as they kept walking.
"Same here Vanna. I love you, your like the sister I've always wanted. Thanks for coming into my life and bringing McKenna with you. Your both like my sisters."
Vanna grins pulling her close as they make to her favorite place to eat in New York. After they finished having lunch, Vanna was going to take her bestie shopping for a perfect outfit for tonight.
They walked into Vanna's favorite place and follow the waitor and thanked him as they sit down and they give him their drink orders then he leaves.
"So what store are we going to after were done with lunch?"
"Oh just a place called Juicy Couture, H&M and Guess because you need some designer clothes. You can't go back to Lima Ohio and not have something hot."
"Vanna I can't affored those stores and I don't want you paying for it either." Vanna rolls her eyes.
"Relax Rachel. It's really my Daddy's treat. He knew we were going to shopping and gave me his card. It has no limit on it. Trust me your going to have fun."
"I'm still not sure it's a good idea, what if Marcus gets angry?" She said not liking this.
"Didn't you just hear me say that it was fine? Rachel you need to learn how to live a little. Your 18. Don't you want to be carefree once and awhile?"
Rachel just looked away and looked at her menu. She loved Vanna Weston but sometimes she just didn't think in the best way.
Vanna sighs and gets her phone out calling her Dad. She waits for him to pick up.
"Hi Daddy Rachel's here with me and she wants to know if it's okay that I use your credit card. She's worried that you might get mad." Rachel looks up with her eyes widen.
"Oh you want to talk to her? okay here she is." Rachel shook her head no but Vanna just hands her the phone and sighs before putting the phone to her ear and said hi to Marcus.
She listened to him talk for a little bit and she said okay and goodbye then hands the phone back to Vanna. She just shook her head. Vanna talks her dad more then they hang up.
"So what are you having Rach?" She said with a smirk on her face. Rachel wasn't amused and just focused on her menu.
"Come on you can't be mad at me for calling my dad. He told you what I just told you. It's perfectly fine." She just stayed quiet.
Vanna sighs and looks at her menu really hoping Rachel stops being so stuborn for the rest of the day. She needed her best friend talking to her again.
After lunch, Rachel finally stopped being stuborn and they went shopping having a great time. At the last store they went to, Rachel found a very beautiful dress that just had to get.
"Go try it on Rach then you can wear it out of the store, after I pay for it of course." Rachel stared at Vanna.
"Are you sure?" Vanna walked over to the dress Rachel was staring at and grins.
"Look this dress is calling your name, go try it on then come out here so I can see how good it looks good on you." Rachel stared at it then takes it from her best friend and goes into the changing room to try it on.
"That dressed looked beautiful on her. What's happening for your friend?" The sales lady asked Vanna. She moved closer to her and whispered.
"Don't say anything but my brother is asking her to marry him tonight. She needs a beautiful dress. That one is perfect." She whispers then moves away.
"You are right, that is the perfect dress for her. I hope everything works out." Vanna smiles saying thanks.
"Come on Rach I want to see this dress." She slowly opens the door and walks out wearing the dress. Vanna's eyes widen seeing the beautiful dress on her best friend.
"That fits you perfectly. You are totally wearing this out of the store. No questions asked. We have clothes for you to wear to school but this dress is for our New Years Eve party." Rachel grins.
"Are you sure I should wear it now? are you sure it's good enough for me to wear?" Vanna groans walking over to her best friend and held her.
"Rachel Barbra Berry listen to me right now. Stop second guessing yourself. You are gorgeous and this dress that your wearing is just for you. It goes perfect with the shoes and the long coat. Your hair is already done. Trust me were getting this dress after I pick out my dress of course." Vanna smiles at her.
"Alright I really do love it. Thanks for convincing me." Rachel stared at herself in the mirror while Vanna looked for a dress for herself.
Brody stood in his nice looking suit waiting for Vanna to drop Rachel off at any minute now. He had everything set up. He was nervous. He hated how his parents always threw dinner parties that you had to dress up for New Years Eve. Next year he was just having little get together with his family, his sister and Rachel.
He had until 10:30 at his place before they had to be at his Dad's place for the rest of evening. His phone rings and he sees Hiram calling him. He answers it.
"Hello?"
"Hi Brody it's Hiram Berry." He already knew that. He was nervous to answer the phone in the first place.
"It's also Leroy and Shelby." He heard Leroy and Shelby yell in the background.
"Hey what's up?"
"I'm just calling to see if you've asked her yet?" They all knew this night was going to happen.
"No she's not here yet. But don't worry I'll text you when she gives me the answer."
"We all know it's going to be yes. But remember to text me. We all want to know." Brody smiles and stared at the door, hearing footsteps and hush talking making him take a deep breath.
Rachel was here which made him even more nervous. He picked up Rachel's favorite flower and held it waiting for her to noticed him.
"She's here. I promise to let you and please don't let Santana know. God knows she'll call Rachel as soon as she hears it. I want Rachel to be the one to tell her."
"Alright we promise not to tell her. We weren't planning on telling her anyways since she's spending New Years Eve at her girlfriend's house."
"Brody?" He heard Shelby's voice.
"Yes?" He asked waiting to hear what Shelby has to say.
"Good luck and don't break my daughters heart." He smiles.
"No worries Shelby. I don't plan on it. I need to go now." They all say goodbye and he puts his phone back in his pocket.
The door opens a few minutes later and Rachel walks in with her heels clicking against the floor of Brody's place. She was carrying a few bags.
She put them down then takes off her coat then turned around gasping seeing the lights dim, candles were light and light jazz music was planning in the background.
Rachel had no idea what was going but she found it romantic. Her boyfriend looked so handsome his suit. His tie matched her dress.
"Hi beautiful." She just stared at him speechless for the first time.
"You okay there Rae?" She snapped out of her shock and nodded biting her bottom lip then spoke.
"Yeah I'm fine. Um what's this about Brody?" He just moves closer to her and checked out her dress. It was long, gray, halter v neck and it fit Rachel like glue. She looked really good in that dress.
"I'm wanted to spend alone time together before we head to my dad's house. Is that okay with you?" She smiled.
"Of course it's okay. You look very handsome by the way." He smiles walking over to her.
"This is for you babe and you look gorgeous." Rachel stares at flower he gave her and takes it, smelling it then stares at him unsure what's happening.
"Thank you honey." She tells him softly. He leans in pecking her lips softly then pulled back.
"Your welcome. I made us a great meal, would you care to join me at the table?" She nodded with a smile. He grabbed her hand and pulled her to the table.
He pulled the chair out of her and she thanks him before sitting down. She stared at the table very impressed. He sits down with her.
"I made one of your favorite dishes." She stared at her plate and gasped. It really was one of her favorite dishes he makes whenever he's at her house.
"This looks great baby." He grins as she starts eating. He just watched her for a while before eating his own food.
"This is really good. I love how you cook. Thank you for this lovely meal." He just smiled at her. He couldn't stop staring at her. Tonight was a big moment for him.
"Anything for you babe." They talked for a little bit while finishing up their dinner. When they were done, Brody grabbed their plates and Rachel went to brush her teeth before rejoining him. He also brushed his teeth in his bathroom.
"Would you like to dance?" She nodded walking over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Brody grabbed one of her hands as he held her close and they both swayed to the soft music.
"Can I whisper in your ear?" Rachel smiled whispering sure and closed her eyes at they swayed to the music.
"Theres something about you that blows my mind Rachel Berry. Your not like any girl I've been with."
"Is that a good thing?" She whispers back to him wondering. She loved everything about Brody. He was the best boyfriend she's ever had.
"Yes it's a wonderful thing. When I first heard you sing, I knew that there something different and sexy about you. I knew when I first met you that you were the one I've been waiting for. No girl compares you Rachel. Your talent is out of this world nobody compares to you. Your voice is what I love the most rather it was talking, laughing or just singing."Rachel opened her eyes slowly, listening to her boyfriend spea speak.
"You are going to own the Broadway world once you get there and I'm going to be in the front row cheering you on along with the people that love you. Baby your dreams are important to me and I want to make sure those dreams come true with me by your side." She smiles as they keep swaying to the music.
"Rachel?" He says slowly taking a deep breath.
"Yes Brody?" He stayed quiet for a few minutes making Rachel worry. Was he okay? She wanted to look at him but he was holding her close to his heart.
"Nobody has stolen my heart like you have. My family loves you, your best friends with my sister and I love your family." She was glad he was speaking again.
"I have to let you go." She frowns pulling away from him.
"What?" She says confused. He left her for a few minutes to go into his room then came back with something in his hand.
"I didn't mean I had to let you go like set you free my life as my girlfriend. I told want to ever let you go. Can you pick up your flower again?"
She stared at him wondering what's going on.
"No I want to know what's going on first." He sighs knowing she was going to make this hard for him. He loved her dramatic ways.
"Baby please just pick up the flower." She walked over to the table and picked up the beautiful flower and made her way back to him.
"I'm going to ask you 5 things and you need to answer them truthfully. Can you do that?" She nodded still holding onto the flower.
"Are you ready for my first question?" He asked her,
"Yes I'm ready for all your questions." Brody took a deep breath and started to speak.
"Do you love singing with me?"
"Of course. I love singing with you." He asked her the next question.
"Did you get your birthday wish this year?"
"Yes I did which was to still be your girlfriend." He was glad she rembered.
"Do you think your my dream girl?" She blushed biting her bottom lip.
"Yes I really do. I love you Brody and I know for a fact that you love me. No doubt about that." He grabbed her hand.
"Your right you are my dream girl. I'm glad you see it. second to last question, are you ready?" Rachel smiles nodding.
"Can I be your prom day to your Senior prom?" She grins.
"Of course. You can come to my prom as my date?" He nodded kissing her hand.
"Yeah baby I can be your date to your prom. Do you really think I was going to let you go to your Senior prom without a date?" Rachel figured she would go with her friends.
"I was hoping you would be my date but I was also fine going with my friends." Brody looked really serious now. This was the big question. This question would let him know if Rachel would be his wife in the future. He slowly gets down on one knee.
"Oh my god what are you doing?" Rachel gasped placing her hand on her mouth, trying not to tear up. He opened the box showing her his grandma's ring.
"Rachel Barbra Berry, this is my last question for you. That promise ring I gave you is only half of my love for you. This ring right here in this box is the other of half of my promise. It's a much bigger promise that I'm not going to leave you, I'm going to cherish you for the rest of my life. It's a promise that I'll be your partner in this relationship not just your best friend." She just stared at him with a tear starting to fall down her cheek.
"Baby I love you so much. You make me smile, laugh even cry and I don't cry alot. Theres no other girl I want to give this ring to. So this is my last question for you. Will you do the honors of marrying me by wearing my grandma's ring?" He asked her waiting for what she has to say.
Rachel stared at him sniffling and closed her eyes for a few minutes. She turned down Finn's proposal because he needed to realize that she's moved on and she loved Brody deeply. It wasn't because she didn't want to get married. She found the guy she wanted to marry. He was asking her to marry him. She just needed to answer him.
She pulled her hand away from her mouth and took a deep breath.
"What was your question again?" He took a deep breath staring into her eyes.
"Will you do the honors of marrying me by wearing my grandma's ring?" He asked her then looked down. She knew she heard him right.
"Yes I'll marry you." He slowly looks up.
"What? did you just say yes?" She giggled sniffling and wiped her tears.
"Yes I'll marry you. I want a long engagement though. Is that okay with you?" He took the ring out, slipping it on her left ring finger where her promise ring was then gets up and placed his hands on her cheeks.
"We can wait as long as you want to baby. I'm just glad you said yes." He pressed his lips against hers, kissing her passionately. She moans kissing him back sqealing when he picked her up. She pulls back giggling.
"Don't mess up my dress baby." He slowly puts her down and goes back to kissing her again. He now offically engaged. He had a fiancee named Rachel Berry. He was the luckest guy in the world.
"Is this real life?" She whispers against his lips. He wondered the same thing. He was glad this night turned out perfectly.
"Were engaged aren't we?" He nodded with a smile and kissed her again. She just wrapped her arms around neck, kissing him back.
Brody blew out the candles. Then held her close.
"I wish we just spend New Year's together, do we have to go?" Rachel asked her now Fiancé.
"So do I but my family wants to know your answer so we have to go but I promise tomorrow we can spend the whole day together as a newly engaged couple." She smiles so happy.
"You ready to go?" She kisses him again not ready and he was fine with it.
At Brody's Dad's house.
The front door opened and Vanna rushed to the door seeing her brother and her best friend freezing from the cold air.
"Well?" Brody rolled his eyes.
"Can you let us in the house first? I tell you with everybody else let us breath."
Vanna pouts wanting to know now. Rachel was clinging onto Brody and that made her worry that maybe she said no and it's now awkward between them.
"You okay Rach?" She smiled at her best friend nodding her head.
"Come let's join the others." Brody pulled Rachel with him and Vanna walked behind them.
Vanna made her way over to her mom.
"Did she say yes?" Vanna looked at her mom.
"I'm not sure she's being so quiet and Brody isn't saying anything." She whispers.
"Everybody I have something to say." They all stared at him and Rachel who stood close to him.
"I asked my girlfriend to marry me tonight and she said yes. We're getting married."
Rachel grins holding up her hand showing off her ring.
Everybody cheers clapping for them. Brody's dad smiled as the engaged couple kissed in front of them. He had faith that Rachel would say yes.
Vanna squeals rushing over to them and hugged both of them. They pulled apart and smiled at her.
"I really thought she said no." Rachel shows her the ring. Brody's mom walked up to them.
"Welcome to the family Rachel." She hugs her.
"Thank you for the ring I'll take great care of it." Rachel tells her.
"I know you will sweetie. You two love each other very much and it deserves to be celebrated." They talk more.
Brody walked away from them and texts Hiram.
She said yes. Brody.
After he sent the text he walks over to his dad and they hug and talk.
"So proud of you son. I knew she would say yes. I'm glad it's Rachel that your marrying instead of one of your ex girlfriends."
They stare at Rachel as she talks and Brody can't help but to smile.
"Go on I know you want to be with her." He hugs his dad again then walks over to Rachel.
"Hey babe." Rachel stares up at him, holding onto his hands since he was holding her by the waist.
"You did me proud sweetheart that ring fits her perfectly." Brody grins kissing Rachel's cheek.
More people come up to them and start talking about the night then it was time to ring in the new year.
"10,9, 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 happy new year." Everybody cheered.
Vanna watched the newly engaged couple kiss each other with loving smiles on their faces. She was so happy for her brother and her best friend.
"Happy New Years." Brody whispers.
"Happy New Years, I love you so much." She kisses him passionately.
He loved her the same way she loved him. His dream came true.
