Guards led them to the hangar where a shuttle was prepared for transporting them. It was hard to tell what this journey would be, perhaps a business voyage as Hux's personnel continued to find the resistance and where they were located.
Mavka was curious about this trip yet uneasy since she was given a hasty discussion with Hux, giving her a stomach of weight. They entered the shuttle including a few stormtroopers just for protection as usual. The inside of the craft had some seats just for General Hux. Many were open to being a seat, but Mavka didn't desire to take a rest and decided to stand.
The journey was jarring yet somewhat long. Mavka found herself almost falling asleep but the ship's impact had stopped her departure to slumber. Quickly, she rose her posture and faced the vessel's exit where most of the stormtroopers waited patiently for the opening. The apprehension lingered but was dull through the air.
The door opened and a couple of stormtroopers along with a distinct one in gold stood in front, waiting for their arrival. General Hux stepped down where they appeared to be in the station's hangar.
"Commander Pyre." General Hux called out. The one in gold armor greeted the General.
"General Hux, sir. An honor to see you." Addressed the Commander who appeared to be another distinguished stormtrooper in gold. One above others.
"I'm sure Captain Phasma has disclosed you with all current circumstances of our status, yes?" Said, Hux.
"Yes, General."
They two began to walk as Mavka and a few stormtroopers followed the two high officials through the station. It was a large tower; lank and medium. This place didn't hold much space condition but only serve as a fueling station for the First Order. Many cargos and shipments were being transported through the corridors; technicians, stormtroopers, and even some Deathtroopers were responsible for them.
The sight of those uniforms gave a longing feeling but also a stinging connection with them. Mavka continued to follow where her feet lead them and discreetly listened to the two converse.
"What is the current state with the fuel equipment...?"
"We have eyes on Planet Castilon. A refueling station called the Colossus provides the First Order a great deal although we may have word that a Resistance spy has been hiding on board the station."
"Well, deal with it, Commander. We can't have any more of the Resistance pestering any of our stations."
"Yes, sir." Replied the Commander. A stormtrooper approached the commander and leaned in for an indistinct divulgence of information. It seemed hefty and intriguing to him.
"Excuse me, General. I have a matter to deal with. I will be to the tower briefing shortly." The Commander left suddenly, leaving the General quite piqued at the unexpected departure.
The General did not want to wait in the corridors so he faced the stormtroopers who kept to their General.
"Well? Is it not your job to lead me to the briefing tower?" He said to the guards. But the stormtroopers wanted to react but only shrugged at his statement as if they knew nothing of the way.
His day seemed to be worsening with incompetent conditions. He let out an exasperated sigh then glanced at Mavka.
"Ein." Mavka's structure bounced at the mention of her name. Mavka straighten her posture and took all her attention on him.
"Yes...?" She calmly spoke.
"Find someone who can properly lead me to the tower briefing room. I have no time for this."
Mavka nodded. "Yes, sir..." She immediately went on her way to see any crew on this refueling station. She took sight of a couple of stormtroopers but instantly knew that they wouldn't at all be that useful and always found them brainless and simple-minded. Their only duty is to serve, protect and die.
Mavka knew she was on a time limit and finally, she grasped her eyes on a couple of technicians. When she finally approached them, they stopped what they were doing, looking at her strangely.
"You there, I require... directions to tower briefing room. General Hux needs to... be there."
The two technicians looked at each other.
"The General?" One of them questioned.
"Yes," Mavka replied eagerly.
"We don't transfer personnel facilities to those who-"
Mavka pulled out her identification label to the conservative technicians. They stopped their drivel and looked at her card.
"The General is in no time for wasting. I need directions now, please." Mavka demanded.
They took a moment to digest the information and pulled out a datapad containing the station's mapping.
"I've never thought they'll employ an a-"
Mavka grasped the datapad and smiled sarcastically. "I thank you." Then she vanished. She had no time to lose and jogged through the corridors trying to remember where she left General Hux.
He drifted off to the usual spot she had remembered but still caught him and the guards near where she had last seen him. The mere sight of Mavka gave a vehement annoyance to the General, already impatient with his incompetent assistant.
"There you are. I cannot waste precious time!"Said General Hux. He ripped the datapad from her hands and examined it. He began to move his legs to the directions based on the outline given to him. Mavka and the stormtroopers followed him through the corridors and eventually was led to a lift.
As they entered the lift, Mavka felt bored but tense, she knew Hux was gradually becoming frustrated from all the situations he's been faced with today. The fire in his eyes was flowering profoundly, the ignite non-perished.
A shift of breeze entered through as the lift opened to a new area.
They saw the familiar stormtrooper commander in gold approach them.
"General Hux." Addressed the gold stormtrooper.
"I'm sure you've had greater things to deal with instead of wasting my time, Commander." General Hux clenched his fingers together behind his back; the Infinitum formal stance in which he wears constantly.
"Apologises, General. There had been a report of suspicious activity in the engineering. But it is currently passive."
"Well, I should not be waiting, Commander." Said General Hux.
The commander did not respond but only proceeded their way into the briefing room; it was large, wide, and dark. The room was already occupied with First Order officers, waiting for the arrival of General Hux. They all stood abruptly due to his representative.
A noticeably large circular table was set in the middle and General Hux and the Commander sat onto the empty seatings in front. It wasn't in Mavka's place to sit considering she was only an assistant, anticipating any commands she may detect. She stood by the door along with some other stormtroopers guarding the room.
Everyone sat in silence as General Hux was free to do what he wanted; clearing his throat, adjusting his uniform, and relaxing his posture. He gave the whole room a cold and sterile mood even though it was a First Order station, he made it even colder.
Hux cleared his windpipe once more.
"Ein." He called out. Mavka rushed over to him while eying the officers who made strange looks at her overall appearance in this section.
"Sir...?" She softly muttered.
"I am utterly parched from today's pursuits. Get me a beverage." He commanded.
"Yes, sir." She replied. Backing away Mavka quickly dispersed the room through the exit.
She exhaled due to the room's uncomfortable and cold aura, it was burdened with an uneasy air to which she was glad to remove herself from. The station's layout was incredibly inconvenient, narrow, and slightly different than the Star Destroyers. It was smaller and was only providing weapons, refueling equipment, and cargo shipments.
Mavka already knew that General Hux was approaching at a boiling point, his annoyance rising strangely high and she didn't want to take her time with his requiring requests. The place wasn't grand, nothing like the Star Destroyer. Mavka didn't realize that she was holding the datapad in her hands the whole time after Hux had returned it to her. She quickly looked at the map it provided and found something suitable to obtain supplements and the daily needs of sentient beings.
Mavka moved herself to the directions on the datapad to the nearest serving post, AKA the canteen. When she arrived she detected a couple of stormtroopers around the feeding area without their helmets. It was a rare sight to see stormtroopers with distinguished faces. To possess skin and facial features. Mavka walked over to the post and stood idly by as she waited for her turn in line. The section was operated by droids that were very similar to the ones back on the Star Destroyer.
Finally, as she was next...
"I require a... simple beverage." Mavka requested.
The droid vacantly stood.
"Specify your option." Said the droid.
Mavka didn't pay attention to what General Hux had requested only that he was 'utterly parched.' At this point, his demands were more important than a certain discrete refreshment.
"Water." She said.
"Water is currently unavailable"
Mavka sighed in disappointment.
"Anything that is... fulfilling."
The droid went back and prepared a glass cup filled with clear white liquid, a bit of fizz lingered on its surface. A cold vapor came off of it and looked natural and cold. But hopefully, it was a sufficient drink for the drink. Mavka thought too much of what he'll think, what he'll say because of her incompetent errands for him. The droid was finished with the simple drink and handed it to her with a tray.
Mavka wanted to be quick but had to be careful as she didn't want to spill the glass along her way.
