HEY EVERYONE! I am sooooooooo sorry its been so long since I've written anything! It's been a little over a year I think? Maybe even a year and a half? I dunno its been a long time. I'm extremely sorry for that! Sadly I don't have much of an excuse for myself other than: I'm a full-time college student double majoring while working a full-time job and supporting myself on my own. Doesn't leave me a whole lot of free time to write anymore, and we won't go into my personal but that's been a mess this past year or so too, which can definitely hinder one's writing ability. Anyway! I'm back and I have more chapters of this rewritten story of mine for you guys! I will attempt to keep up with it this time and we'll see how it goes. I will also hopefully have updates for my other stories (and maybe even a new one or two) coming soon as well. ENJOY

As always feedback is loved and appreciated!

For the next day and a half of the trip Kyuu and Gaara were attacked numerous times by enemy ninja; Kyuu was wondering just what was so special about the package Gaara was carrying, but was glad to have a constant blood supply. It kept her in check and she was starting to get used to Gaara's strange scent and could ignore the pull of it as long as she kept herself sated.

Kyuu couldn't get Gaara to talk much though and that was bugging her. She really hated silence all the time and she was majorly curious about this strange boy, but he wouldn't open up. He just ignored her existence while they walked. However they did take turns killing the enemies that came after them and a silent rivalry almost seemed to be there, both silently trying to top the other in their kills. It was an odd way to bond, but Kyuu felt she was making some sort of bond with the weird dude.

As Kyuu finished draining the last person they had killed of his blood. She looked at Gaara while wiping her mouth. "Damn, just what the hell is in that stupid package anyway? I've never been attacked this many times on such a low ranked mission." She demanded while she stared at him.

"Our job is to protect it. What's inside is none of your concern." Gaara replied coldly which caused her to give a light chuckle. "What?" He demanded; not understanding how what he said was apparently funny.

"Nothing, it's just that guy you saw- with the pink hair, he tells me to mind my own business all the time. You just reminded me of him that's all." She explained with a shrug.

"Why'd you dye his hair?" He asked; trying to figure out how she could be a violent killer one moment and an immature child who pulled pranks another.

"Naruto and I thought it would be funny." Kyuu answered with another shrug.

"Naruto?"

"He's my best friend."

"Hn."

That ended their conversation and they walked in silence in the seemingly endless desert. Kyuu marked that as probably the longest conversation they managed to have so far. Well aside from the first conversation of "I'm a vampire and I'm a violent psycho." Still she tried to keep talking to him in hopes of getting to know him and in hopes of making the time pass by faster. Every time she tried to start a conversation however, it was usually ignored or sort lived and that was really beginning to bug her. Sasuke was an unfriendly prick too, but this guy? This guy was ten times worse. It wasn't just her silent companion getting on her nerves either. It was the heat and endless sand dunes that were really driving her crazy. Dirt, dirt and more dirt, that's all she saw. Miles upon miles of endless sand dunes and the relentless sun beating down on the barren land. Who could stand living in such a place as this?

"I hate the desert." She complained for what felt like the fiftieth time.

"Why?" Gaara asked; finally not able to ignore her constant complaining anymore. Oh how he wished he could be rid of this nuisance, it would almost be worth all the trouble it would cause.

"I may be capable of being in the sun, but that doesn't mean I like it. It sucks and I do start to feel sick in the intense heat and sun. I get really bad headaches." She explained. "Plus look around, there's nothing at all in the desert. Nothing for miles, at least where it's green you can mix it up a bit." She added as she waved to the endless sand around her.

She didn't get any response from Gaara so she grumbled and tried again at an attempt at a conversation. "So then; tell me about yourself." She tried; willing him to talk to her and ease her boredom. She would honestly take a solo mission with Sasuke over this, at least then she had something to entertain herself with (i.e. hours of annoying the crap out of him).

Gaara merely glanced at her before looking away. "No." He responded shortly.

"What? Why not?" She demanded.

"Why do you want to know?"

"Just do. You're very interesting I want to know more about you." She answered. Interesting was certainly one word to put for him, she felt a strange connection to him. She knew there was more to him than meets the eye and knew he must have had a troubled past to be such an angry brooding boy. "I mean you know I'm a vampire and I've told you some about me so you should return the favor." She added.

"I only know you're a vampire because you tried to bite me. I doubt you'd tell me freely if it wasn't for that and it was your choice to tell me things about you. It's my choice not to tell you about me." He snapped.

"Jerk." Kyuu muttered while she frowned and crossed her arms over her chest

"Watch it." Gaara hissed, not liking being insulted. "The only reason I've kept you alive is because you interest me very slightly and I don't want to deal with the issues between our villages if I killed you on this mission. Don't think for a second that I won't kill you if you piss me off." Gaara threatened icily and Kyuu blinked in mild surprise.

"Your badass attitude is cool, much better than cockatoo head's anyway. You look like you're not just talking big. Like you actually would kill me and since I've already seen you kill lots of people now- without hesitation, I know you're capable of killing someone. Still you can't kill me." She responded; unfazed by his death threat.

"What makes you think I can't?" Gaara demanded; shooting her a deathly glare that would make any normal person run for their lives.

"Because I've seen how you fight and you've seen how I fight. We both know what to expect from the other in a fight. More to it than that, I am half vampire. It isn't that easy to kill one of us. Although thinking about it, I probably couldn't kill you either. There is something about you that you're hiding and I can tell you're much stronger than you appear." She replied; still unfazed. "It would prove to be an eventful battle none the less I bet." She added.

"Hn." Was Gaara's only response and she didn't expect to get much more out of him really.

Once again they walked on in silence. They ended up walking the rest of the way in total silence. It drove Kyuu completely nuts but, she dealt with the silence the best she could. When they were almost to the village she was about ready to die of boredom...and hunger, it seemed every five minutes her stomach would growl loudly in hunger. At first she was embarrassed but, since Gaara just ignored it, she started to do the same. When they reached the sand village Kyuu smiled happily for several reasons: 1) she could get something to eat, 2) she could get out of the sun, and 3) she was hoping to find something fun to do.

"Finally! I was getting so bored and hungry I thought I was going to die!" Kyuu exclaimed when they both arrived through the gates.

Gaara merely ignored her like always and headed off somewhere. Kyuu figured she should follow him and did so. As she walked she glanced around at her surroundings. She was hardly surprised to see more sand. The village looked like it was made out of sand! Seriously? She about had it up to here with sand. An idea did occur to her though, if the village really was made out of sand what would happen if it rained? Granted it doesn't rain often in the desert but on the off chance that it did then what? She entertained herself with the image of the village turning to mud before her stomach growled loudly again and snapped her out of her train of thought. She glanced around for something she might be able to eat and noticed they had just passed a sweet shop. She looked on at it in longing and moaned as her stomach growled again; demanding to be fed.

"Wait here for a minute Gaara I just need to stop for something real quick..." She called to him; advancing on the sweet shop like it was her unsuspecting prey. An evil grin grew on her face before she clapped excitedly and ran into the shop gleefully. Once she was inside she glanced back and saw Gaara had kept on walking; completely ignoring her existence (like that was a shocker).

"Jerk." She muttered before shrugging it off and directing her attention to the matter at hand.

Kyuu looked around the sweet shop with a happy smile on her face; the village and the desert might've been boring looking, but this was anything but; sweets, sweets, and more sweets. Everywhere were delicious baked goods and candies. "I've died and gone to heaven." She stated dreamily as she wandered around the giant sweet shop and picked out some food.

Kyuu spent some time in the store and ended up getting: three cup cakes, four brownies, a large box of assorted chocolates, two blocks of fudge, some candies, and a big bag of assorted cookies. She took all the sweets to the counter with a little bounce in her step and handed them to a young woman behind the counter.

"You're not going to eat all that yourself are you?" The cashier asked as she rang everything up; slightly surprised by the amount Kyuu had. She was either going to get sick from all that or go on a major sugar high.

"Yes I am." She stated proudly. "I'm starving, I haven't eaten for three days, only had something to drink." She answered knowing it wouldn't make her sick eating it all. She might get a sugar high from it all, but food was something she loved she rarely got sick from eating too much of it. She watched the lady ring up the items and a thought occurred to her.

'Guess I should get Gaara something too while I'm at it.' She thought; figuring it would be a nice gesture and maybe make him be a bit friendlier towards her? "Hey umm I want to get something for my friend too. Do you know if Gaara like sweets?" She asked and the cashier stopped what she was doing; freezing up like she had just seen a ghost.

"Y-you're friends with G-Gaara?!" She asked frightened and contemplating shoving the treats at the girl free of charge just to get her out of the store. If this girl was somehow friends with him, she didn't want her sticking around or taking a chance of somehow angering him.

Kyuu looked at the lady in confusion by her fear. Yeah he wasn't the friendliest of guys, but this chick looked like she was about to piss herself in fright at the mere mention of him. He didn't seem that bad to Kyuu. "Well, we're not really friends I guess. I'm his escort from the Leaf Village; he had to deliver a package from the Hokage to the Kazekage." She explained and the lady's tension only relaxed slightly.

"O-oh...Amazing he didn't kill you..." She muttered more to herself than to Kyuu.

"Yeah well he said he hasn't killed me yet because I interest him." She explained still confused by this woman's reaction to him. "And then there'd be some legal matters involved as well…" She added thoughtfully.

"Wow. I don't know how you managed to get him interested in you, but it kept you alive so far so... You're the first person that hasn't died or ran in terror after being with him for more than ten minutes- well besides his siblings but they're scared of him too..." She responded nodding to herself but she was also inwardly concerned too. This girl did something to make Gaara interested in her; she could be just as dangerous as him.

"Fascinating, so does he like sweets or not?" Kyuu asked; now bored with this conversation but making a mental note to figure out why this woman was so afraid of Gaara.

"I really wouldn't know anything about what that boy likes." She answered; deciding she wanted this girl out of her shop now.

Kyuu frowned at this woman's attitude; she was perfectly friendly until the mention of Gaara came up and now she just got more and more irritable as the conversation continued. "Well I guess you can't go wrong with cookies. Get me a bag of chocolate chip cookies." Kyuu decided as they frowned at each other "Please." She added, but there wasn't much politeness in her voice.

The cashier nodded curtly before retrieving a bag of cookies and handing it to her with the rest of her stuff. "I suggest you stay clear of him girl if you want to keep on living." She stated while she handed them to her.

"I'll keep that in mind." Kyuu muttered with a roll of her eyes. She already greatly disliked this woman for how she was talking about Gaara. He seriously didn't seem that bad to Kyuu.

"Good now take these and leave my store. There's no charge." She responded; signaling to Kyuu that she wanted her gone.

"Fine. I'll be sure to pass on your hello to Gaara by the way." Kyuu snapped and left the store; leaving behind a terrified woman who was quickly changing the store sign to closed.

Kyuu began snacking on some of her delicious food while looking to see where Gaara went. Having no idea where she was going or even where she was at, it didn't take her very long to get lost and she spent a bit of time going around in circles. Through all her walking she ate and now she was down to just her bag of cookies, her one for Gaara, and her two blocks of fudge (one she decided she'd also give to Gaara). Somehow the fudge was still mostly solid and not a liquefied mess from all this heat like Kyuu expected. She guessed the people knew how to make their foods so they withstood the heat a bit better around here.

As Kyuu got herself more and more lost on her Gaara hunt she was also getting more and more annoyed. Each and every time she asked somebody to help her find her way they were willing to help until she said she was looking for Gaara. Once they heard that, they all hurried away from her like she had the plague and leaving her standing there even more confused and annoyed. It was really beginning to piss her off when it happened for what felt like the millionth time. Just what did this whole village have against him? And why the hell couldn't they at least point her in the right direction?!

"Damn it! Where the hell do I go!?" Kyuu yelled in frustration after realizing she had gone in another circle.

"Lost?" Came a voice from behind her and she spun around to find Gaara standing right behind her while watching her with his ever famous emotionless eyes.

"There you are! You know, I asked you to wait for me! I've been looking all over the damn place for you!" Kyuu snapped at him; voicing all of her annoyance and frustration.

"Hn." Was Gaara's only response, signaling he really didn't give a damn about her problems. He was surprised though to see that she continued to search for him after he just left her there.

"So did you go to the Kazekage?" Kyuu asked as she started simmer down; she hoped he ditched her so he could finish up the mission.

"Yes. You're supposed to stay here for the day and leave tomorrow." He replied indifferently.

"Okkk...Where am I staying?" She asked waiting for him to elaborate.

"With me and my so called family." Gaara answered and she nodded. Gaara walked off and she began to follow him.

As the two of them walked in that annoying (to her) silence Gaara looked back. Kyuu blinked in surprise as he stared at her. "What?" She demanded; feeling awkward under his stare.

"You have chocolate and icing on your face." He finally spoke; turning away from her again.

Kyuu blushed a bit in embarrassment. She'd been walking around the whole village like that? Great.

"Damn I wish I knew that." She muttered as she wiped off the chocolate and icing with the back of her sleeve. "Is it off?" She asked and Gaara only glanced back for a split second before nodding.

They continued in silence and then Kyuu remembered the stuff she got him. "Oh yeah! These are for you!" She exclaimed; remembering the cookies and the fudge.

Kyuu held out the bag of chocolate chip cookies and fudge while smiling happily, waiting for him to take the friendship offering. Gaara stared at her warily. What was she up to? Why did she bother to get him food? More importantly what made her think he'd even want the sweets? People didn't just give him things, it didn't make sense. Yet here she was; holding them out to him and smiling at him. Why? Why was she smiling at him? What was this girl's problem? Why didn't she act like all the others?

Gaara continued to ponder these things, but after a moment hesitantly took them from her. Kyuu's smile turned into a grin after he took them and they began walking again. "Why did you buy me these?" Gaara finally spoke; his voice sounding emotionless as ever but Kyuu picked up on the confusion in it.

"Well I was getting myself some sweets and figured I should get you some too, to be nice." She explained logically.

"Why?" Gaara asked not bothering to hide the confusion as much.

"Why, what?" Kyuu asked; now the confused one.

"Why do you want to be nice to me? No one else has." Gaara demanded like he suspected her of something and she bet he probably did too.

"Just do. You deserve to be treated nice. I got the idea that people don't like you much around here and are afraid of you. I don't know the reason behind their fear or why you're such a negative and angry person, but I don't think it matters. You're a person so you deserve to be treated right. I'm just trying to be nice." Kyuu explained and Gaara stayed silent; this chick wanted to be nice to him and thought he deserved to be treated right? None of this made sense.

They walked the rest of the way in silence and Gaara stopped in front of a large house and Kyuu examined curiously. It wasn't a mansion but it was definitely big and had the rich look to it; all fancy and whatnot.

"This yours?" She asked and instantly felt stupid; obviously it was his or he wouldn't have stopped.

Gaara paid the stupidity of her question no mind and nodded. They walked up the steps and he opened the door before grabbing her arm and pulling her in (as she was just standing there gawking at the house).

Slightly taken back by him grabbing her arm, Kyuu blushed and snapped back into attention. She ignored the grip on her arm and looked around the house. Quickly she went back to gawking at everything. It was a nice place; everything was clean and obviously very expensive. She began to wonder just who his family was to have such money; maybe a noble? As that thought crossed her mind she had a mental image of Gaara as a prince.

'Not exactly your prince charming.' She thought; starting to giggle and Gaara raised an inexistent eyebrow at her but didn't say a word, instead he just pulled her farther into the house.

As Kyuu walked farther into the house she continued to look around, "oooing" and "ahhing" over all the interesting things she saw in his house. She wasn't really used to seeing rich, expensive things so this was new to her.

A girl suddenly came out of a doorway which she noted led to a kitchen. The girl looked a few years older than Kyuu, had short blonde hair in four ponytails, was somewhat tall, had a tough girl look to her, but had pretty deep blue/green eyes.

"I heard the door open is that you Ga-

She started, but stopped when she saw a girl standing next to Gaara while he (still) gripped her arm and both of them holding bags of sweets. She raised an eyebrow in confusion and stared at Kyuu; examining her carefully.

"This is Kyuu, she's spending the night." Gaara explained shortly and let go of her arm and walked off somewhere; leaving her alone with the other girl. Silence engulfed them both and Kyuu looked at the girl curiously.

"...Err so I'm Temari, Gaara's older sister." She explained after a moment more of awkward silence.

"Nice to meet you." Kyuu responded and they both awkwardly shook hands. Kyuu hoped she didn't notice the slight chill to her skin as they shook hands and it seemed she didn't.

"...So...You uh his girlfriend or something?" She asked after another awkward silence.

Kyuu blushed lightly at the idea (though not sure why) before shaking her head back and forth rapidly. "No, no, no! I was given the mission to escort him back from Konoha! He said I was supposed to spend the night here then leave tomorrow." She explained in a rush; not wanting Temari to get the wrong idea.

"Wow I'm surprised he actually tolerated you; that's a first. So how did you manage that?" She asked surprised and Kyuu shrugged not really wanting to go into everything. "Well go look around if you want. Just uh, be careful not to break anything or dad will flip out." She stated and Kyuu nodded.

"Alright." She answered in understanding.

"Oh and keep an eye out for our brother Kankuro. He's an idiot, so don't mind anything he says to you." Temari added.

She walked off after saying that; leaving Kyuu awkwardly standing in someone else's house. Confused and curious she wondered around the house; examining all the cool things and still marveling at how big the place was.

As she wandered through a library she heard the sound of a video game and followed the sound. She walked into what looked like a den and found a guy a few years older than her playing a video game. He looked odd with all the purple face paint on his face and a hat that made it look like he had kitty ears. She guessed this boy was Kankuro.

The boy, Kankuro lost at whatever it was he was playing and threw the controller before pouting in his seat. Kyuu stifled a laugh at the childlikeness, but he heard her and turned to see where it came from; spotting her in the doorway.

"Who are you?" He asked; surprised to see an unknown teenage girl in his house. He gave her a once over while he stared; waiting for her to answer his question.

Kyuu rolled her eyes at his wandering eyes and smirked. "Don't even think about it." She stated allowing one of her fangs to show through her smirk.

Kankuro jumped at the sight of the fang. The hell was that about? Before he could ask what the deal with her teeth was Gaara came into the room.

Gaara examined the scene before him. Kyuu swore she saw the shadow of a smirk cross his face as he watched his brother eye her with fear.

"Kankuro make a move on you?" He asked as if it was nothing.

"Nope, just giving him a friendly warning not to." She replied.

"Y-you know her Gaara?" Kankuro asked in even more surprise. Some freaky teenage girl was in his house and apparently knew his little brother. Great, just what he needed, two freaks in the same area.

"Yes." Was Gaara's only response as he grabbed Kyuu's arm again and pulled her off; leading her away from the confused Kankuro.

Kyuu waved to Kankuro as Gaara dragged her away. He then led her upstairs and into a bedroom that she guessed was obviously his. He dumped her in a chair and then sat down on his bed across from the desk chair she sat at and watched her; glaring like always.

"Your room?" She asked boredly and he nodded. She stared at him for a few minutes he just stared blankly back. "Do you ever smile?" She asked sighing heavily. Gaara remained silent and she rolled her eyes before smirking. "That's it! I'm going to get you to smile." She declared determinedly and he only remained silent once again.

Kyuu started her attempt to get him to smile by telling jokes. She went through as many as she could think of, but not a single one made him smile or laugh. He simply stared at her with a nonexistent eyebrow raised. She sighed at that failed attempt and stood up out of the chair; walking over to him. Kyuu stood in front of him and started waving her arms back and forth; doing the same with her body while making a retarded face and looking like an idiot. That failed to get a reaction from him as well and she frowned. So next she huffed and started to dance like a loser; his only response to that was rolling his eyes. Man he was hard to crack. Huffing again she started making funny faces at him, as many random crazy ones as she could. None of them got a reaction from him other than his left eye twitching in annoyance. She sighed and made a few more random funny faces and still failed to get a reaction from him. Kyuu grumbled in annoyance; accepting her defeat and sat down beside him on the bed.

"You're no fun Gaara." She whined like a five year old.

"Hn." Was once again his only response.

Kyuu sighed boredly and looked around his room; it was gloomy and depressing like him, but she liked it. She wasn't entirely sure why, but she did. She glanced over at Gaara and noticed Gaara didn't have his gourd on; it was sitting beside him on the bed. She suddenly got an idea and smiled, well if she couldn't get him to smile or laugh maybe she could get him to relax a little?

"What are you doing?" Gaara demanded as she moved behind him. She could tell he was glaring; even if he wasn't looking at her.

"Nothing." Kyuu replied calmly and touched his shoulders. Instantly he stiffened up like a rock at her touch and shot her a dark glare. "Just relax." She cooed softly and started giving him a shoulder massage. She felt him stiffen up even more at first and she smiled a bit. Getting him to relax was going to take some work. It took him quite awhile, but eventually Gaara started to relax.

"You're not used to people touching you are you?" Kyuu asked curiously as she continued her massage.

"People don't touch me." He replied darkly. He couldn't even decide why he was even letting her do it right now. Normally he would have killed the person for even attempting, but he was letting her.

"I'm sorry! Do you want me to stop?" Kyuu asked quickly; concerned by his tone and thinking she must've upset him.

"No." He replied, but unsure why. It was rather relaxing, he'd admit that, but this was strange to him.

Kyuu smiled; she was getting him to relax now and open up just a little bit. She continued to give him a massage and soon he relaxed more and more. He even slouched forward; sighing with his eyes closed; his entire body relaxing. A grin split across her face at that. He finally gave into her after all her attempts of trying to be friendly. After awhile longer her arms were extremely tired and she stopped. Instantly his eyes snapped open.

"Why'd you stop?" Gaara demanded and she almost laughed at the childlikeness he tried to hide in his voice; almost like he was pouting.

"I'm tired." She explained simply and Gaara remained silent as per usual. Sighing tiredly Kyuu rested against his back; having some strange feeling that he'd enjoy the comfort even if he wouldn't admit it. Gaara stiffened as she rested on him at first but he eventually loosened up again beginning to ignore her presence. It didn't feel much more different than having the gourd on his back.

"So Gaara, who exactly are you? I mean family wise? You guys seem pretty rich. What do your parents do?" Kyuu asked in another attempt at a conversation, hoping maybe now that he was more relaxed he'd talk more.

"My mother's dead." He replied darkly.

"Oh..." Kyuu responded; not meaning to upset him. "I'm sorry." She added apologetically.

"But my father is the Kazekage." He finished.

"No way! Really? Guess that really does kind of make you a prince in a way than huh?" Kyuu asked and she giggled again at the idea of him being a prince.

"Prince?" Gaara asked confused and figuring this was what she had been giggling about before.

"Yup, you're not quite prince charming but that's ok. Sensitive, romantic 'prince charming' guys like that don't exist. Or if they do they're usually gay and I'd hate for you to be gay." She explained before blushing furiously at the last part of her statement; hoping he didn't think she was implying something.

If he did he didn't say anything about it and they began to sit in silence. This time it didn't bug her though, it was a comfortable silence. They sat like that for quite some time but then that comfortable silence was ruined by her stomach growling loudly again.

"Hehe whoops; guess I'm hungry again." She stated sheepishly.

"I don't know what the others plan on doing for dinner." Gaara responded uninterestedly.

"Then how 'bout you and I go out and get something to eat?" She suggested hopefully; it would give her something to do.

"No." Gaara replied bluntly.

"Awww! Why not? I'm hungry." She whined.

"I don't feel like taking you anywhere." He retorted indifferently.

"Please?"

"No"

"Pretty please?"

"No"

"Pretty, pretty please?"

"No"

"Pretty, pretty, pretty, please?"

"No."

"Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, please?"

"NO!" Gaara snapped; finally annoyed of her antics. The sand in his gourd stirred restlessly in response to his temper, but he did nothing.

"But I'm hungry!" She wailed; not ready to give up.

"Too bad." Gaara responded indifferently again.

Kyuu sighed in defeat and grumbled under her breath. She hoped Temari or Kankuro would come and mention something about dinner soon. Luckily she didn't actually have to wait too long and a little while later Temari knocked on the door and opened it a crack. She was half expecting to find Gaara and the corpse of the girl that was staying here so she was surprised to find her alive and well and even more surprised to see her resting against Gaara's back (while he burned holes into the floor with his glare; ignoring her presence).

"Hey Gaara, we figured we'd all go out for dinner since we have a guest." Temari stated from the doorway; deciding not to comment on the scene.

"Alright, Food!" Kyuu stated happily, getting up off of Gaara's back and standing up off the bed.

"Problem solved Kyuu, go with them." Gaara stated indifferently but glad for a chance to get her out of his hair for awhile.

"Um well, I kind of meant all of us." Temari stated cautiously, not wanting to upset him.

"Not going." Gaara responded and Temari accepted that answer.

Kyuu on the other hand, did not. "Come on Gaara, please? Come with us." She begged.

"No."

"Come on. It'll be fun."

"No."

"Please come with me?"

"No."

"You need to eat dinner."

"Not going."

"Please? Why won't you come?" She was determined to get him to say yes. It's unhealthy not to have a social life and not do things with your family.

"Don't want to. Now go away." He retorted.

Temari shook her head and was about to tell Kyuu to give it up before Kyuu sighed and began her new approach. "But, but, but, but, but…..

Kyuu started crying. Of course she was faking it, but it was an easy way to get what she wanted so she let the waterworks flow. Gaara watched her Niagara Falls of tears for a few minutes knowing she was faking but getting annoyed she wouldn't stop. After a long while of failing to ignore it and getting extremely frustrated he inwardly sighed.

"If I say yes will you knock it off?" Gaara demanded; not looking at her.

"Yes." She replied sniffling pathetically.

"...Fine then just stop it. I know you're faking." He snapped and she instantly stopped.

"Yay! Let's go!" She cheered happily; completely normal again.

Gaara sighed and grumbled something to himself before getting up and grabbing his gourd. He walked out of the room and Temari and Kyuu followed him. Temari went to go get Kankuro and Kyuu went to go clean herself up a bit in the bathroom while carrying some clothes Temari lent to her. She had forgotten just how crappy she must have looked; dirty, tired, unkempt hair, and stained clothes. She would have taken a shower too if she had thought she'd have enough time.

Once she had quickly cleaned all the dirt off of herself she changed into the clothes Temari lent her; A mid thigh length black skirt with a small split on the side and a red shirt that had three-quarter length sleeves and had a low rounded cut. After that she quickly undid her hair style and shook it out before running a brush through it and trying to tame the mess. Once it was brushed she left it all down and headed out of the bathroom to go to the others.
